China Daddy in Glasgow City

What a horrible and dishonest business. My partner ordered dinner for me and him from here on just eat after coming home from a long shift at work. We waited 2 hours, he phoned up a few times and the man on the phone kept saying it will be with us soon. Order never arrived and my partner got that annoyed he drove down to the shop to see if he could just pick it up. Shop was shut. Absolute joke of a place won't be coming here again

Got 2 portions of chicjen sweetcorn soup it was disgusting ,tiny slithers of chicken about 6 bits of sweetcorn and loaded with ginger never again ,no chef in the back looked like it was all batch cooked and brought out and reheated,

Genuinely the worst chow mein I've ever tasted. How can fresh cooked noodled be mushy???And despite myself i tasted a rib which had very evidently been cooked then kept warm in a tray for god knows how many days. Absolutely vile and I'm making a complaint to the food standards agency. I am serious about this being probably the most disgusting chinese I've sver eaten from.. ***update! Puked my ring

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE, i order 1 portion of salt and chilli chicken for delivery its took 2hours, and when it got here it is only half a bloody portion, ragin to say the least, delivery driver was sound wasnt his fault, looks like they ate half of it lol absolutely terrible

Worst Chicken Curry I've ever tried, really thick tasteless sauce and a few very small bits of chicken, also got Salt and Chilli chips with it as part of a 'Happy Meal' they were also rotten. Binned the lot. They should rename it an 'Unhappy Meal'

Ordered dinner via Uber Eats , advised on app delivery would be in 40mins , 1 hour later still no dinner, had to call restaurant, was told they were extremely busy, she checked and advised it was on way, when food arrived it was cold the chicken curry sauce wad thicked and conjelled as it was cold, reheated ourselves , food tasted OK but really annoyed how long it took and come and was cold so called restaurant again , who advised they had no control over times thatcustoners are given by Uber Eats, which is utter nonsense . If this is the case they should not be on Uber Eats,

Food was reheated was absolute disgusting waste of money

Went in tonight ordered special curry and asked if salt & chilli chicken balls had sugar on them as had them b4 from other places with sugar didn't want that lady went through and asked and chef said no they didn't got home and guess what?? Yip covered in a sugary horrible powder! Called to let them know for future reference as I'm diabetic heard the guy asking did she tell u she was diabetic!!! Naw but I did tell u I didn't want sugar!!!

Food was great, service could be better. Overall Id recommend.

If you're reading this I'm still waiting for my dinner 😂 absolute joke, phoned at 8pm literally for a chicken curry, fried rice and chips. It's 9:43pm on a Wednesday night and I'm still waiting. Phoned 20 minutes ago and they said the driver left the shop (5 minute drive btw). Never again. Don't know or care if the food is any good, waiting that long for such a simple order is wild

Normally order from here and food is good. Tonight ordered special friend rice and chicken black bean sauce both dishes very very very salty, totally inedible, very surprised and disappointed.

I ordered the happy meal special which says it includes a starter. I got 1 rib cut into three bits, called the shop to check is that the policy and owner confirmed yes it is(staff member quietly apologiesed for the small size). Ordered 2 mains, first for £6.90 i got rice, sauce, curry all in one(good value) and for £9.60 i got rice, sauce, curry and 1 rib!!! Maybe i got a bigger portion i can hear you thinking... Not according to my kitchen scales, mininal weight difference between the 2 dishes when including rice.

Usually Food from here is Great!! but tonight, Took over 1hr to arrive, Food was Cold...& Chips tasted old...kinda like reheats from yesterday...not nice...Its put me off ordering again...

Went here because Jasmine cottage was closed Food wasnt great, bbq sauce from ribs and snack box was like eating box if salt, prawn crackers tasted like cheese wotsits, portion size was good though. However my order came to £47 and didnt get any extras.

Ordered through uber eats, food arrived in ok time but the salt and chilli chicken snack box was inedible. Too much overly salty gravy which drowned out any taste of anything else, honestly was like eating spoonfuls of salt, went in the bin. The chicken curry and chips was apparently lovely. Portions were great but that's no help when it ends up in the bin

For me this place wasn’t the best experience I have now been sitting here for 1hr 30 mins and still no food all I am getting is salt and chilli chips I asked how long they will be the man working said “oh sorry I forgot I’ll get that ready the now” I don’t get how it takes this long for a tray of salt and chilli chips

Just had ordered Deliverd. Hour late. Cold Pork in chow main non existent Extra curry sauce orderd. (cash on delivery) no sauce. So by time sauce is deliver after call to shop. Food is ruined. Opend spring roll to find no ham in one of the 2 orderd Ex delivery driver. Will never ordered from here again. Discussed with the service Will be asking just eat for my money back.

Food is tasty and fresh.Only thing I don't like is they do this weird thing and cut the chicken balls in half ..why ????

I ordered salt & pepper chicken. The meat was old and smelly, oil was dripping from the meat, more breading than meat. The food ended up in the bin. Waste of money I will not order there again.

Got salt and chilli chicken balls, was deep fried crusty and old chicken with soggy garlic over it. Looked absolutely vile, had to bin it. Waste of money, will never be ordering from here again

Don't understand all the bad reviews. My niece is half Chinese and she loves it. Only one that doesn't upset her stomach. You're the (China) Daddy! Food is great especially salt and chilli chicken starter 🤤

i have just placed an order on just eat!❤️ i used to order like twice a week lol but ended up not ordering food for a while…. however this is theee BEST chinese i have ever ordered from and i have stayed in multiple places over glasgow trying different takeaways. the delivery is so fast and the food is always piping hot! prices are feckin great and really large portions❤️❤️❤️

Great food great price I have Chinese takeaway closer to me but I use this one if you just want a slightly smaller meal go for a happy meal a starter and a main

I call a lot of takeaways and some have not been that good so I saw this one on Google and I have got food from them all the time and its good best sweet sour chicken I've had I would recommend this shop

Staff are rude and I would never ever phone or use the place again!. I sent the food back it was that bad and they try to charge me double the price due to the time of night. Em NO so my brutal honest opinion I would never recommend this business to anyone. Its really really bad!!!.

Chicken balls had tiny bits of chicken inside. Found no egg in fried rice. Tasted like boiled. 1 piece of chicken still looked pink. I'll never be back. Still can't bring myself to walk back through that door

Cant even give you prawn krackers anymore order from here all the time aswellwont be ordering again whats a bag of krakers to money they are making its disgraceful

Best Chinese ive had in Glasgow - the happy meal deal is great value.

My partner choked on a bit of blue plastic that was in the rice! Tried phoning but there was no answer. Absolutely shocking.

Told food would be delivered and never came absolute joke and to top it off there lines been "busy" for over 2 hours so no way of speaking to someone

Amazing food 😍👌 well worth the money 👌 would recommend trying this place out big portion's but I do like curry wouldn't mind a extra large portion of your curry any time of day

Ordered via just eat, this was sat night during lock down so was not surprised to learn it would be an hour and a half for delivery, however my meal arrived within 25 mins. Excellent value for money, reasonable delivery charge, there was loads one meal could easily have fed two people, even got free prawn crackers would definitely use again🌟🌟

Good food, however they changed the happy meal increase in price and took away the prawn crackers so you get less for more money. I use the takeaway quite regularly and the food is always very good and delivery is usually pretty good also.

Rubber chickeing curry like water

sometimes go here for lunch. Its a very strange place but the food is good. U will need to repeat ur order 13 times but they get there in the end.

Very disappointed Tuesday night wouldn't have thought it would have been partially busy ordered delivery at 9.55 phoned to see how long it would be at 10.30 was told it was on way again I phoned at 10.50 it was still on way I am not even 5 minutes by car distance from shop turned up at 11.25 so that delivery was out the shop if telling the truth for nearly an hour before it arrived from less than 5 minutes away told them not to bother,abso absolute shambolock service,wonder if anyone knew what they were doing

Phoned it at 7:45 and it didn't arrive until 2 hours later! Phoned twice on the first occasion got told it was ready to be in the next batch of deliveries left it half an hour and phoned back and got told my food was being prepared. Was definitely NOT worth the wait as everything was bland and had to add salt to give it some flavour. Will definitely NOT be ordering from here again, £14 in the bin. With the wait I waited should have definitely gotten something thrown in or atleast the price reduced. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone I know. The reason you got 1 star is because the salt and pepper chips were semi decent! Daddy did not deliver!

The food is good but they always forget part of the order. Regularly get a meal deal, but also often have something missing when go to eat it

I waited neatly 2 hours for delivery. I ordered chicken breast but the quality was very poor - it made me feel ill. I will not be ordering again from here!

After ordering through just eat and paying for my meal it arrived without the bottle of coke i ordered. I phoned straight away and was told it had been forgotten, because of football traffic they were really busy but would get it to me as soon as possible. After waiting over 2 hours and dinner was long gone, (considering i wanted it at the same time i was eating!) i phoned again. Was told all they'r deliveries were mostly going to dennistoun and not in my area!! Tough,,i had paid for it and it was they'r responsibility to get it to me... Won't be using this place again, there are many takeaways around me that are great but just thought i'd try this for a change,,lesson learned!
