Pizza Crolla in Glasgow City

Asked the proprietor on 23rd Dec 2024 if the chicken donner I ordered was ok, showing him the very pink chicken. I asked if it was medium rare :-). He instantly became aggressive, refused to try it himself and gave me back my money (£6.50) without asking. He told me he sells 300kg of chicken a week, so he knows the pink chicken is fine (not leg meat, or even bruised - just raw pinky/purple breast). I repeatedly asked if he could please try a bit of the chicken but he impolitely refused, took it from me and binned it before returning cash. Told him I didn't want to be arsey but just wanted to make sure I didn't ruin Christmas for my family but he was having one of it. Didn't offer a replacement, not that I would have accepted anyway. Genuinely trying to make myself sick now before food poisoning kicks in and I'm bed ridden for Christmas day. This guy is a class A Tommy tank - don't normally leave scathing reviews like this but good luck if you venture here. This guy deserves nothing but food poisoning himself. In the balance of fairness, my pal had a sausage supper with cheesy chips which looked spot on but when offered a taste I had understandably had lost my appetite. Cannot recommend without a hazard warning and shall not be returning any time soon - fingers crossed for Christmas day.

Shockingly poor qualty, obviously don't care about the quality delivered. Will never use again and will advise others not to do so.

Took advantage of me in the shop when I’d been drinking and charged me twice for my food and drink. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. AVOID AVOID AVOID

The rudest eatery person we ever came across. Overcharged and then did a fake refund transaction. On asked what all he added to the burger got defensive and rather than giving a simple answer to a simple question, fought for 4 mins on why we were investigating. Oh and the food was eventually bad when we opened it later as that was a take away.

Very bad place. Staff very arrogant. Food horrible. Veggie burger they didn’t put any mayo or patty and put oily paroka with no sause or anything. Completely avoid this place

Ordered a meat feast pizza with a choice of 4 toppings, didn't take what toppings I wanted and cooked me a pizza with toppings I couldn't eat, when this was mentioned to the arrogant staff they lied and refused to refund me and threatened to call the police for harassment and refused to engage and sort the situation out any further, AVOID AT ALL COST

Very very good pizza! We ate Margherita and Vegetarian pizza, the dough was quite light, very well baked, you can feel that they use zero zero flour, mozzarella is their base cheese and also quite good quality, overall quite surprising for a fast food, much better than in many pizzeria in Glasgow. On the second night, we tried a kebab and a burger; the kebab was not bad, and the burger was quite good. The guys working there were always very friendly and the wait time wasn't long. The prices are quite decent. Next time we're in Glasgow we'll definitely be back for the pizza! All recommendations!

Am sorry but paid nearly £9 for chips cheese and donner and the donner sauce was soo watery and bland it tasted like a tomato sauce for pasta. The chips and cheese was all soggy and just not appetising at all. Its was not worth it whatsoever, rather go eat and pay that £5 extra for a nice decent meal.

Portion size is tiny for the price. I should have read the reviews. Won't be returning.

Charged us £11.30 for 1 hamburger supper, a handful of chips. Bottle of Fanta. Deserves a 1 star for the cost.

Food was absolutely disgusting… The manager or owner of this shop is the rudest man I have ever came across. The abuse I took for him was shocking and of course he started shouting and name calling after we paid for our food. How this shop is still open is beyond me 100% needs shut down, the food was awful and I’ve been ill for days! Overall experience was 0/10 and will never return nor recommend.. infact I’ll be preaching not to go here instead

Worst pizza absolutely waste of money ,I was visiting here from a different city and stopped to get a pizza take away and ordered Veg pizza .. it was absolutely horrific pizza I asked for chilli flakes and ginger and garlic mayonnaise. That's man spread something in name of mayo and some sause instead of chilli flakes and it was like he was giving it to homeless person

Great pizza and kebab shop in the centre of Glasgow, opposite Central Station. Second time I've been here, second time I've enjoyed the food. Reasonably priced, 10" pizza with 2 toppings for less than £8. The chicken kebab looks amazing and is available as a lunchtime deal with a can of juice or chips. Definitely going to be giving that a go on my next visit. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Decided to fire in here instead of chippy at central taxi bit that was queued out. totally correct decision. single sausage for a quick munch before the train. 2(instead of 1) big, battered to perfection, sausages. 4 quid. Excellento!

Had our first ever pizza crunch! Also got to have gravy with my chips! (It's not a thing in the south) lovely staff! Will be visiting again the next time we visit glasgow

Chicken kebab was ok. Sauce kinda ruined it and tasted fishy.

Used to be great in the early 2000s, now dire got served uncooked fish and gritty chips. Plus 3 black hairs from the servers head . Worst greasy uncooked mess I've ever tried, that a can of the Bru and 2 pickled onions £13,50p Not exactly cheap.

Up there with the worst. Got a kebab last night and puked it up this morning but put that down to hangover (even though i can honestly count on half a hand how many times I've been sick for that reason). Gave it a second go tonight and got a large pakora. Literallly dipped in the oil for about a minute and not even properly drained so the result was Lukewarm chicken in puddles of oil. If you value your health steer clear. Will be letting Glasgow city council know.

Bought a pizza. The box it came in would of probably tasted better. Never had freshly made pizza made and cooked in less than 3 mins and also managed to rob me at the same time. Sorry I've had more edible pizzas straight from the freezer section in shops without cooking it

Had the worst black pudding supper ever with a hair wrapped around chips, it was like the pudding and chips where there all afternoon, nothing was hot not even warm, when I complained the guy was rude, will never have a chippy there again. This is why I only gave 1 star, however I go to this shop in the morning alot for roll n sausage and it's great, the ladies that work there are so lovely and always really nice and I give them 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars every time.

Ordered a munchie box at £13.50 and they gave us chips cheese donner meat, 1 piece of veg pakora and 2 pieces of chicken pakora! It’s was a complete scam, tried to get our money back and they refused! Then wanted £1.50 for pakora sauce! Your meant to get that included in a 12 inch Munchie box! Complete and utter disgrace, didn’t even eat it because it was all dry and crusty and cold. AVOID

Not a bad place to get Pizza & chips. They are open till early mornings, which make it convenient for getting a late dinner when the occasion demands.

Just bought what is the most flavourless kebab with zero sauce on it. The meat is cold and stringy and just tastes cheap. The salad could have been doing with being actually cut up properly. Over charged for what you actually got. Chips look reheated and are like bricks. Quality of the food. Zero. Taste would be one. And the staff. Not one of them had a smile let alone any kind of personality. Outside was just as messy with discarded food containers, cans and lots of chips and other discarded litter. This being in the centre of Glasgow makes this even worse, as Glasgow is supposed to be a clean and tidy city, and establishments like this just drag it down. Don't buy your food from here. Find somewhere else that offers a better price, better food, better everything.

Did a long ...very long shift in the pouring rain on the Bank Holiday! Tired soaked hungry. Bought Fritters and a Haggis supper. £7.40 Haggis was tasty but left you with a mouthful of grease. Pity, it looked really nice NOTHING was warm enough to eat. Wont be recommending it and definitely wont be back. We are transport coordinators many drivers and visitors ask us for recommendations. Felt it was a rotten thing to do . He would have known how long they were lying there . AVOID.....I feel cheated . Why did i not take it back . Too long a day and too tired to walk away back. Shouldn't have sold us this, Disgraceful

Had a great Chicken Burger, Chips & Cup of Tea from Chico today. Sent some Irish tourists to his shop about 20 minutes later, as his service was so good.

Best chippy in the town, 2 mins from work, freshly made pizzas are 10/10 and good price as well, sausage pizza crunch suppers are all superb as well, staff are good as well

The staff in this place are really great and they make an excellent meat feast pizza. I never understand why everyone queues at the blue lagoon when this shop is 50ft away and is in my view a better chippy

One of the best chippies in the city centre. Maybe the best since Mr Chips on Sauchiehall Street shut. Always open late so good for a bite on the way home on a night out. Service is fast and they always seem to have plenty available.
