The Round in Glasgow City

Booked a table at 1745 and ordered mains fairly quickly. Food wasn't served until 1828. Threatened to leave and actually had coats on and were ready to go as the food turned up. Food wasn't terrible, but "below average" and basic. Staff weren't overly helpful, though they did give us 1 of our 3 mains for free as an apology. Would have left, but had limited options, given our concert at the Hydro started at 1840. Noted several other customers walking out.

This post relates to the Italian part at the bottom level of the property. We had Italian starters and I then had pizza. The food was good and not overpriced. The service was overall good and very friendly. At the end it became a bit slow. The bar was inflexible in that they wouldn’t make me a Lemon Lime & Bitters. We were there a night that was not very busy.

We booked same night and managed to get a table, it was very busy as it was comedy night. The food was really nice I had haggis stuffed chicken breast it was delicious and good value. Staff were efficient.

We recently visited the Rotunda Bar and Grill and we were less than impressed. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table - a shame really as the service was generally the only good thing about the experience. The restaurant itself is very dark - now we understand why, probably to stop you from seeing how bad the food looks - and we were shocked to see what we would be sitting down to eat on was what can only be described as plastic school chairs. We had read many a negative review about this place but put it down to people being fussy and were still willing to give it a try. How wrong we were. Trying to look past the strange restaurant decor, we ordered off of the pre theatre menu (which was meant to have nachos on it and many more choices of burgers but didn't) and around five minutes after ordering our starters came. My partners mozzarella sticks were stone cold and tasted as he said like 'fake cheese'. He ate a quarter of one and left the rest. My blaggis bon bons were warm but were served with what can only be described as a watered down whisky sauce that wasnt very nice. Our mains were worse - my partners chicken was cold, dry and had skin on it like jelly, served with plain boiled potatoes and a spoonful of haggis. He's not a fussy eater but he left more than a quarter of his meal. I had a burger - the bun was dry, the burger was dry too and I'm convinced it was a frozen one from a supermarket, and my onion rings were stone cold. I too left the majority of the food. Being in such a prominent location, this place is losing out on so much potential. Such a shame really, we really wanted to enjoy this meal but it really has to be one of the worst ones we have ever eaten. When people are saying in the reviews this place is bad, theyre not just being fussy, theyre being realistic.

I went to the rotunda before a concert at the hydro. The staff greeted me warmly and showed me to my table. My drinks were ordered within 5 minutes and my meal within 10 minutes. Although the restaurant was busy the meal was served in adequate time. The food was delicious and I will return.

On arrival at the Rotunda Bar and Diner we waited around 25 minutes before anyone took our drinks order. We then had to ask if someone could take our food order. We waited another half an hour for our starters and a further 45 minutes for our mains. There were plenty of staff but they didn't seem to be very well organised and in general customer service was poor. We almost missed our show as it took around two and a half hours to be served a two course meal! If you go here prior to a show my advice would be to leave plenty of time! Poor value for money considering the awful service.

Booked for location but was pleasantly surprised with the food, massive portions and tasty well presented, pre theatre menu was good value and after starter and main dessert just wasn’t an option, had the burger and friends had the macaroni cheese! Staff were very friendly and attentive and bonus free parking as attending gig at hydro! Will be back

We visited this place prior to going to the cinema. The only positive was the speed at which the food arrived but we were seated early and prior to the rush for the performance at SSE. The food was terrible- the chicken strips and burgers all processed meat and like eating rubber. There was nothing fresh on the plate and nothing homemade. To top it off we paid £50 for the pleasure. Beware that the pre-theatre menu seems good value until you try the food. Never again.

We attended here by concert at Hydro and was shocked at the poor quality of food. Looks like everything is cooked in a microwave . Not impressed at all . Wrong orders arrived . Very expensive bill at the end and for basic food . Better places nearby . Won't ever return .

Went for meal before Kevin bridges and even though the place was really busy we were seated and served straight away. After reading previous reviews about having to wait a long time for food we gave ourselves plenty of time before the show. However our starters arrived just minutes after being served, these were swiftly followed up by our main courses and deserts. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly, will definitely be returning

Went to there tonight with husband, son and daughter-in-law for a meal before concert at SEE Hydro. Music in the restaurant was far too loud and blared out. Unable to have conversation with anyone. When staff came over to take order it was very difficult for them to understand what we wanted. Three times the staff were asked if sound could be lowered just a bit and to be fair they did ask but it fell on deaf ears. After meal I left with a blistering headache which lasted throughout the concert which I had looked forward to for a year. Food- starter was lovely main meal mediocre and dessert was microwaved

Dinner was served after an hour of waiting, staff had to be chased three times before food was brought. Quality of food was poor. No management present.

Came here last night and had the pre theatre menu. Food was what we expected average for a place like this next door to Hydro so convenient They did make a lovely Mojito. We were slightly annoyed to be chased down the stairs by the boy to ask us if we payed the bill. When we of course had payed with someone else.

Quick and efficient. Good food and service, I know they are busy but staff could give an aura of calm if they just 'slowed down' a bit - they sometimes literally are fast pacing it from place to place.

If you are going to the Hydro and are dining in the area then you have a limited choice. We chose the Rotunda last night and we chose wrong. The prices are sky high and the food is almost as poor as the choice you have from the menu. A bottle of pinot grigio at £24 and you would not wash the dog with it. The staff were friendly and helpful indeed I asked one of them if they were busy after 8 pm (when the show started) and I was told "no the place is dead" which we kind of guessed. Overall we left feeling very overcharged for what we had but we only have ourselves to blame. Glasgow has so many excellent places to eat within walking distance of the Hydro and for convenience we chose the Rotunda .. we will not do again

Went for pre show dinner. Where seated straight away and all our servers were friendly and fast service. Good choice for vegetarians even on the restricted pre theatre menu. Portion size was huge

Booked a table in advance so got seated right away, we then waited a hour and 15 for our main course and then had to ask twice for the bill and eventually we paid and got charged the wrong bill which was double the price so had to wait to be refunded

Mi amigo y yo estuvimos aquí antes de un concierto y nos las arreglamos para conseguir un asiento enseguida como alguien no había convertido. Su pérdida! Los dos estuvimos de acuerdo que era una de las mejores comidas que he tenido en mucho tiempo! El servicio era estupendo, las chicas que nos servía era preciosa, música de fondo era totalmente a nuestro gusto, los precios eran buenos y había un ambiente encantador! Sin duda recomendaría este lugar y volveremos!

Nos alojamos en el hotel Raddison rojas junto a este restaurante fui de conveniencia. Pedimos cosas super fácil, una pizza margarita, y una ensalada de pollo. Ambos tenían un buen precio., fueron cumpliendo y sabroso pero nada a destacar. Buen personal, lugar aparentemente limpio

Decided to eat here as was attending the hydro. We hadn't pre booked so was expecting not to be seated straight away, waited at the door for 10 mins, then was asked to wait at the bar. There was lots of free tables about so not sure why we had to wait!! When we finally sat and ordered food, 2 macaroni cheese and 1 fish and chips. As the menu limited we didn't expect a long wait!?

This is without doubt the worst meal I have ever had. We were staying locally and thought we would pop out for a simple meal. We would have been better off sending out for pizza. Over priced, nothing as described. This restaurant obviously survives on the stop here before concert market. Once visited, never to return.

Busy atmosphere but not enough staff serving. Had to wait 10 minutes at the bar and we only wanted a beer and a coke. The restaurant was busy and the two bar staff were serving the waiting staff with table orders and also those people who only wanted a drink.

Asistimos a una comida como mis padres estaban en Glasgow para ver Michael Mcintyre en el SECC. Era evidente desde el primer que el restaurante estaba muy lleno, pero nos recibió una mujer encantadora joven que nos dieron nuestra mesa de pre-reservado, nos dieron un menú con opciones limitadas del pre-oferta de teatro, 15. 95 por dos campos y 18. 95 por tres. Para mí, este es un aspecto positivo, ya que no están tratando de cocinar muchas opciones y menos probabilidades de congelados o comprado en la tienda.

Yo no había reservado, pero conseguimos una mesa rápidamente y dijeron que teníamos en un intervalo de tiempo de una hora y media que estuvo muy bien ya que llegamos temprano para evitar la comida fiebre esperando. Nos sentamos con un menú de comidas para elegir pero los asientos para sentarse en asientos de plástico parecía escuela y cada mesa estaba muy cerca de la otra. El personal era simpático pero muy concurrido, así servida por diferentes que sin embargo estaba bien cuando mi hermana intentó pedir un budín de la camarera no hablaba inglés y dijo que alguien en inglés, pero muy roto vino nadie afortunadamente había una camarera que no me llama su mente. Cóctel de gambas que tenía que comenzar con un poco de curry en polvo, que no esperaba y macaroni con queso para mi principal que me encantó aunque muy potentes en sabor, mi hermana pareció demasiado potente pero me encantó. Mi hermana para budín de vainilla tarta de lo que nos encantó. Mi consejo es que lleguen temprano para evitar una espera construir, incluso si tienen una reserva y prepárate para el personal amable pero poco estructurada en que se ocupó de su mesa. X

Comida decepcionante y una larga espera terriblemente a pagar la factura y salir. Hamburguesa Vegetal, parecía que había venido directamente de un congelador alimentos de granja y mi novio su pescado estaba descolorido y red en lugares. Tres campos nos sirven a menos de 40 minutos, pero tuvimos que esperar 25 minutos después de pedir la factura dos veces y otras 20 minutos antes de poder pagar!

Tan decepcionado! Tenía una reserva para la cena aquí en 1830 esta noche comprobar viendo un espectáculo. A pesar de que le decimos que en su reserva que tendría que dejar su mesa en 2000, todavía estábamos esperando a los entrantes que viene a 1930! ! ! Tuvimos que irnos con vacío estomacal así que no arriesgarse a perder el espectáculo! Desastre Total de un restaurante, vimos un montón de otros clientes tener que tomar la misma acción que nosotros. Muy pobre.

Esperar 1 h 10 m para 2 hamburguesas y patatas fritas frías, aros de cebolla llegó 10 minutos más tarde. Tuvimos que tomar nuestros desiertos en una caja de cartón como llegamos tarde para un concierto al final de nuestro plato. Concierto - el cuidado amantes de estacionamiento ahora es operada por un montón de ******, se despoje no conseguir aparcamiento gratuito con su comida. No hay notificación de este dentro del restaurante, y la camarera ni siquiera mencionó que cuando le pregunté si el código de aparcamiento estaba en el recibo. Venta de 60 libras en una semana después de aparcamiento. No volveré.

Very nice lunch menu with good choice selection..either 2 course or 3 courses available.. . Recommend Penne Arabriatta spicy but not too much.. very nice 2 x 2 course lunch and with 2 x soft drinks came to just over £26. ..First time I've visited this place will certainly be back..

the food and service is excellent nothing is any bother to the staff they are quick and happy to get what ever you want

Arrived for our table at 4:30, party of 8 for a special birthday. seated no problem. Waited around 20 minutes for our food and drinks order to be taken a (only a handful of other customers at this point). Seemed to be an issue with ordering a few sides of ‘slaw’, don’t think the waitress new what this was as she looked completely puzzled. Asked if my chicken came with potatoes and was told no. Asked what it came with and waitress replied potatoes and veg

Having arrived for our 6.15pm (the time was chosen to give us an hour and a half in order to make a gig at the Ssec at 8pm) booking on time, my party of 4 had to wait 20 mins to be seated. Not even a hint of an apology from management. When we were finally sat down we placed our order. Granted, our order wasn’t taken for an additional 20 mins. When starters finally arrived, they were exceptionally bland and under seasoned. Then, much later only 2 of the main courses arrived. These were amongst the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Almost an hour and a half after first arriving, we finally spoke to “management” about the missing food, and they stated that a mistake had been made. This is clearly nonsense, as my party witnessed an in-depth discussion at the pass about the order just after the fish and chips arrived (they were pointing at our table). At this point we stated that we had to go and stated that we would not be paying for what we had received. At that point the burgers arrived, far to late to be eaten before our prior engagement. The booking stated clearly that the table had to be returned within an hour and a half, yet half of my party hadn’t eaten a thing in that time. Utterly unacceptable and I will not be back. Complete lack of caring from staff. I can’t help but feel on nights when concerts are happening, they shouldn’t stretch themselves quite so thin.

Absolutely awful service. Disgusting food. A real let down. Everyone running around frantic. Waited an hour and a half for main courses and two cokes before giving up and leaving. Stay away!

The service was non existent, the Manager is a clown with no idea how to run a restaurant. The staff were running about like headless chickens, no direction from above. We waited an hour for food, after which we walked out. Before we left at least six other groups left this so called "restaurant" This place is a joke, the Manager is a joke, I will never step foot in that place again. Avoid at all costs!

The Rotunda, like most people who have a busy day ahead we booked a table for 2 in the morning for 1830. This was a challenge in itself as the waiter struggled to understand our plain english as they were not native speakers, actually i'm not sure they spoke english at all. This should've been our first clue.

Íbamos a un concierto en el Hydro así que este lugar estaba perfectamente ubicado. El personal era muy amable y nos cuidaron muy bien. La cena como un club de comedia en una noche y un fantástico ambiente. Nuestra comida era fantástico, disfrutamos de nuestra visita. Sin duda volveremos

Servicio - absolutamente horrible. Varios errores cometidos, no viene, no nos preguntó si queríamos beber. No reservamos con antelación mediante 5 pm. com para comprobar la oferta presenta, facturado y reserva tuvimos que pedir el menú correcto. Objetos perdidos de nuestra orden. La comida era decente pero el servicio realmente decepcionantes.

Fuimos para comer mientras los niños en el Hydro para un concierto. No ocupados en el momento estábamos. Camarera tomó nuestra orden. 15 minutos más tarde volvió a decir cocina había perdido el orden. No hay disculpa! Comida razonable.

Dizaine de table réservée .., sans personne. Le monsieur qui nous "accueille" semble dépassé , hautain, sûr de lui, mais il n'est ni sympathique ni professionnel. Nous acceptons la demi-heure qu'ils nous propose d'attendre. Au bout de 40 min, je lui fait part que cela dure. Il nous "installe" à la va vite ...à une des tables précédemment citées. On commande 2 burgers et 2 verres de vin. Les burgers arrivent ...en 3 min !! Très basiques et vraiment pas tops du tout. Les frites bof également. Nous devons réclamer les verres de vin à une serveuse, il avait oublié. Les serveuses dé servent les verres et les entassent sur le bar... près des clients...... Bref, le management et la nourritures sont limite déplorables . les pauvres serveuses faisaient au mieux ce qu'elles pouvaient dans ces conditions. Bref, je ne recommande pas du tout!!

Intentamos comer aquí el viernes por la noche, sí había mucha gente ya que había un concierto en el hidromasaje. Y no había hecho una reserva, así que esperábamos tener que esperar para una mesa.

Visitamos aquí como una familia de 6 con 2 niños el domingo antes de tomar el los pequeñitos de la hidro. Éramos las únicas personas allí para empezar, excepto un par de doses en las cabinas. Primero de todo, se olvidaron de mi comida, entonces prisa asociados y sirve su hamburguesa cruda, l que tomaron de atrás y la reutilización y recooked sirve! También tuvimos que enviar de vuelta nuestro lados o macaroni ya estaban heladas y luego regresar tibia. Sólo tomamos un plato cada uno, principalmente hamburguesas y la factura era de alrededor de 120 libras! No desperdiciaría mi dinero aquí, vaya hacia la franja finnieston, mucho más barato con mejor comida.

Visited after long day filming at BBC, just wanted to 'graze' rather than eat plateful. Staff attentive, food good. Would go again

Went here on the 18th march for a meal and drinks before a comedy night, I expected better than what we got. We ordered our food which i cant complain about as it was good had a sharing platter and then had the mexican burger. After the starter was cleared we didnt receive new cutlery for our mains had to ask. My waiting staff kept bringing the wrong food to our table which after the 3rd time was beyond funny. Went to the bar to get my wife a drink asked for a peach schnapps to be told we dont have any, then asked for a gin which to be fair is very popular to be told sorry we don't have any. For a bar this was a disgrace and to finally top it the bill at the end of the night had a gin billed to the table which is amazing as they didnt have any to sell.

Tried to go for a drink before a concert but due to the disinterested attitude of the staff we left and went upstairs to the Greek restaurant where service was great and very friendly

Been here before pre concert and had a much nicer experience. Not sure what’s happened but just not as good as it used to be. Ate here whilst in Glasgow for an overnight stay. Not much ambience and service was so so.

Well this is a place you should never go! It was a Sunday night and only the American Bar and Grill was opened, and the Greek upstairs. I ordered a burger and it was processed meat - ie not made of real ground meat. But what shocked me more than anything was the turmeric and curry spices used in the onion rings which were disgusting (and cold). Really nasty. However, if they had used the spices in the sweet potatoes fritters that would have been a good idea as the fritters where bland - just a slice of potato battered and fried. We did wonder if the chef had actually been trained. The service was terrible, again a huge lack of training and too busy talking to themselves. To top it all they over charged us for the wine, which we obviously had them correct. No tip. No going back. A never recommend. Get a chef who can cook!! Get better staff.

I have been to this restaurant a few times, but last night was the worst it’s ever been! On entry to the diner we were ignored by staff including the manager! When we finally got the attention of someone and got seated at a table it took almost an hour to get our starter and drinks even though we had ordered everything at the same time. The chicken was so over cooked you could fling it of a wall and it would bounce back. We then waited another 10/15mins for a waiter to clear the table and then another 10/15 mins for the main course to come out, which was luke warm. By that time the place was empty as everyone else was starting to head out. Whilst we were there the amount of people around us that had to complain about their bills as they were all incorrect (luckily ours was correct). I don’t think we will be coming back to this place again which is sad because it was a good place until it changed.

We attended the Rotunda as it was near the venue for the concert we were going to. Ideal locus for the concert it has to be said.

Not normally one to complain but I’ve literally nothing good to write about this place. Attended last night before a gig as a party of 6. Drinks order was taken and after a short wait were brought to the table. The waitress then came to take our food order. The menu has around 6 starters and 6 mains so not a lot of choice, you would think it would be pretty easy to order, it’s not. She was gathering menus and ready to leave after taking orders from 5 of the party. I actually had to tell her I was yet to order. The food then came approx 2.5 minutes after ordering and was clearly frozen food bunged in the microwave or deep fat fryer. My main was missing so I had to ask for it, I was then brought a chicken starter instead of the main so again had to send it back. We then asked for another round of drinks, sake again but change one pint for one glass of coke instead. After waiting about 15 mins we were brought one pint and one glass of coke. We then asked again for the drink which it turns out hadn’t been ordered and sent the pint back to the bar. After waiting a further 20 mins and now being 15 mins late for the gig we asked for the drinks to be cancelled and to have the bill. As suspected, the bill arrived charged for all the cancelled drinks.

Rude Staff, Especially the guy greeting customers. Shown to table by pointing, and walked off !!! Poor service, servers un-interested. Order was wrong. Avoid this place as nothing positive about it.

Early evening menu. Chicken strips for starter, nothing to write home about. Fish was out of the freezer and batter was weird - really hard. Peas were cold. Just finished starter and main was in front of us. Complete waste of money. This is the first time I have felt the need to write a bad review.

Great night out at Rotunda! Fabulous nachos and burgers...best ever. Staff lovely, attentive but not annoying. Wanted to stay on but had to go. Great vibe will be back for sure.

Booked lunch before Strictly Come Dancing. When handed the menus we were told the full menu wasn't available only a set menu 2 courses £15.95. This should have been made clear when booking. The choice was limited. The starter of prawn cocktail had one prawn and watery marie rose sauce with lots of chopped cucumber and this was sent back. The fishcakes were basically potatoe cakes with hardly any fish. Two of our party had macaroni for mains which was stodgy and not very warm. We both only ate half the portion and then complained. The waitress who I complained to was excellent and said she would take the food off our bill. Very disappointing and extremely overpriced.

We went for lunch today before a show at the Hydro and I definitely wouldn't be back! The food was very poor starting with one prawn in my prawn cocktail. It was a mound of cocktail sauce on my plate full of chopped cucumber and ONE prawn. I thought the cucumber was a bit random mixed in the sauce but it was obviously to bulk it up and disguise there only being one prawn....... They only offer the 'pre theatre' menu even although their website shows that the full menu is available at the time we dined. Only good point is that you get to park for free if dining there but I would definitely pay the money to park elsewhere and avoid this place for eating altogether.

Myself and my little girl were going to see strictly come dancing at the hydro so booked here for convenience. The style is get them in and out as fast as possible. We both had a cheeseburger (my wee girl had from the kids menu) I paid an extra £1.50 for cheese which I wouldn't mind if it was good cheese rather than what looked to be nothing but a cheap cheese slice. The chips were under cooked. It was meant to come with coleslaw, there was no sign. Once you have your food in front of you the staff don't bother with you so I couldn't ask about this. If this place wasn't just across the road from the hydro then I doubt they would have any customers left.

Interesante lugar, esta dentro de la Rotunda, es un bar de estilo moderno, si bien me gusto mas la parte del resto, esta no esta mal, buena carta de cervezas y tragos, precios un poco elevados.

I paid £5 for parking and only saw once inside it was free if you were eating there. When I asked for a refund I didn’t get one. We were given a limited lunch menu and only when asked were we provided the full menu. The food was quite good but I don’t think I would return.

Busy restaurant as you'd expect when a concert was taking place that evening. Tables were far too close together - could hear conversation of fellow diners. Food was average - limited menu, which they should have stated on the website when booking. Small starter portions and the prawn dish didn't have that much flavour. The restaurant itself was good / clean and the waiting staff were good albeit rushing around a lot - maybe they shouldn't try to squeeze so many people in, but it's probably all above financial income.

Avoid this place for prevent dinner

We arrived here on the off chance and were given a table after 10mins. order taken promptly, food was good and hot. But I have to say I think we were lucky cause a couple of tables round us had problems. The only thing I can say is about the waiting staff is some of them must just be brought in on a busy night cause they seem to stand about a lot not knowing what to do and I did see a starter sitting under the hot lights for a long time before being taken to the customer. It was good enough for us as we were heading to the Hydro and its handy for that but for a proper night out I don't think I would go here.

Probably the best works Christmas party ever. The food was good, the service was attentive, the drinks flowed... possibly a bit too much for some... but best of all the comedians were great. One of the guys had been on Live at the Apollo the previous night.

We went here before event at hydro last night. Food was ok but service terrible. Normally we wouldn't go back however, they had two redeeming features. One was the new manager and the other was the new girl who was serving our table. After complaining about our poor experience, the manager explained he had only taken over 2 days previous. He listened to our complaint and uncompensated us. When we pointed out the trip advisor reviews, he acknowledged them and said to revisit again once he had a chance to improve things. Got the feeling this guy was genuine so wish him luck and we'll revisit before our next concert

American Diner - handy for the SECC on concert night - one of these places I don't think expect regular repeat custom. Basic menu, basic service, basic quality of food with a below average cook/chef - I would rate this as could do better.

No sé si fue mala suerte para nosotros, porque he oído cosas muy buenas acerca de este lugar, pero por desgracia nos dejaron decepcionado con la experiencia, y dudo que volveré.

I went here with my cousin before a concert. We had booked a table and when we arrived were left standing at the door for 15mins with several other people, whilst staff continued to walk past us without acknowledging we were there. The service was horrifically slow and it appeared as though the restaurant didn’t have enough staff to manage all the people dining. This could perhaps be excused as a bad night however my biggest issue was the staffs lack of understanding of allergy information. I ordered a key lime pie and explained when ordering that I have a severe nut allergy. When the key lime pie arrived it was covered in nuts. I spoke to (who I presume was) the manager and he said he would sort it out but after waiting 10mins he did not come back to offer an alternative/explanation so we ended up leaving as we had a concert to get to. I would not recommended this restaurant to anyone.

My group was going to be late so we phoned ahead and explained we would be 15mins late for our reservation and they said not to worry our table was safe. When we got there they had given our table away! So we had to wait 15 mins for another one. That was fair enough, as we were the ones who were late after all. Then they the brought the wrong starters - we were 2 chicken fillets short. They got our drinks order wrong. Finally after waiting 30 mins for our mains, and asking 2 separate waiting staff for updates, they admitted they had lost our order. We were heading to a concert so we had to leave but we were not charged as our experience had been so bad. Happy they admitted mistake and rectified, just so disappointed. The starters we had were good, so was a shame this mix up let them down.

We were going to see a show at the SSE hydro so booked here because you can park and not get stuck till the end of time in the main car parks. The service was quick and the food was good... What's not to like

It wasn't entirely the comedian's fault that I was falling asleep by the second act. I had had a long couple of days.

the service was absolutely diabolical and the staff were clueless. The place was way overbooked with people standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting to be seated. Firstly, the man at the front desk told us our table wasn’t ready so we stood for 25 minutes whilst that got done. Meanwhile, around 10 other guests got seated before us so I reckon we had just been forgotten about. Prompting him, we were taken to our booth and our order was placed. My sister asked for a corona, the waitress said they didn’t serve it, went off to find a drinks list, returned 15 minutes later after being reminded. At the top of the list - Corona!!! Our starters arrived within two minutes, except my 7 year old niece’s garlic bread which I had to ask for 4 times before it arrived 15 minutes after the other starters. Another 1 hour 15 minutes passed and in this time we had been offered another round of starters 3 times!!! The lady at the table behind us complained that her daughter ordered tomato pasta but had been served macaroni which the waitress tried to pass off as ‘cheesy tomato pasta’. They ended up walking out as the staff were unwilling or simple unable to do anything right. We asked for an update on the main courses 3 times and each time the staff grunted at us. We too also ended up walking out. I frequently use the rotunda for a pre concert meal but will never return and will strongly suggest to others that they do the same. Worst service I have ever received and totally put a dampener on the start of a good night.

My wife and I had the pre-theatre menu prior to Andy Murray v Roger Federer tennis on 7th November. So many bad reviews posted, we were prepared for the worst. In fact, for what it is, cheap basic food, it is not bad at all. We had prebooked, on arrival we were courteously greeted, and taken immediately to a table, quickly followed by a cheerful waitress who took our food and drink order which came up quite quickly. I started with Mozzarella sticks, nicely cooked, 3 sticks, very tasty. I then had the Classic Burger (unusual for me) which was very meaty with good chips. My wife had supreme of chicken, adequate but not fabulous. Exellent zesty lime tart dessert. I think that the many critics expect haute cuisine for very inexpensive fare.

Great venue and atmosphere close to the SSE Hydro and exhibition centre. Varied menu with great food highly recommended.

How can you have a web site that shows various menus and a menu outside that has a number of options only to be given a pre theatre menu and told that's it we have no other options "do you want anything " no thanks I'll go somewhere else.

Had the taster menu couldn’t fault it or the staff lovely girls only downfall cheap prosescco £12 to buy retail had a £15 mark up wouldn’t mind even £20 I won’t go back and certainly won’t be recommending it to friends £27 it’s daylight robbery

managed to get a table in the diner area - our fault since we hadnt booked ahead...not great start with VERY wobbly table - 5 - 10 mins spent by waitress trying to put napkins etc under - we eventually asked to be moved....fine..ordered food and bottle of wine - wine came in ice bucket - but had already been opened and was half full.....very odd - got it replaced but ???? Food was actually very nice...crab cakes lovely and chilli perfect...not sure if i would rush back but maybe just new members of staff???

Tuve el coreano de pollo, que era similar a la Cantonesa pollo picante, pero me gustó mucho. La mejor parte de tener una comida allí es que puedes dejar el coche mientras estás en el concierto, que está a sólo dos minutos andando de la hidro o SEC, ahorra en gastos de aparcamiento. Si tienes poco tiempo antes de ir a un concierto, entonces yo le daría una oportunidad, me gustaría volver.

Visited Rotunda due to our hotel being useless, I wouldn't go if your really hungry as the portions are small and expensive, due to our hotel letting us down the venue kindly slotted us in but we left hungry and £60 lighter for two people, don't think I would go back but appreciated the chap squeezing us in.

The food was actually ok when we finally got it but the service is awful. To be fair the staff are nice and pleasant to speak to but they clearly can't cope with the number of covers, service was slow, order was wrong, mains brought before starters, drinks glasses felt cheap.

seated right away pleasant staff, we got our starters but waited a while, atmosphere wasnt really homely staff were running about and it was not too busy as if they were understaffed, we got our mains for taking away but for the price we werent impressed as it was basically takeaway food that we could have gotten from a chip shop for a quarter of the price.

Ordered the lasagne which was fresh and tasty as was the Italian Garlic Bread but a tad overpriced for the area and its quite a bit from City Centre and relies on custom from the concert goers from SECC and Hydro - perhaps if they drop the menus aspirations and concentrated more on proper lunch food as the fine menu they have is probably for dinner - perhaps a specials lunch menu with lower aspirations on food choice while keeping the quality would have made it lunch and a chit chat. PS watch out for the clumsy waiter especially when he spills a tray of drinks over the entire table. lol.

La única cosa en el menú me gustó era mac y queso que me pareció caro como funcionó en el menú principal que tenía mirado en línea costaba 8 libras. 50. Sin embargo, iba a tener un postre tan sólo acepta que pagaría el precio. Dicho postre pedí pero parecía haber un problema con los pedidos de postres y demoró una eternidad y al final pedimos la factura y me dijo la camarera que no podíamos esperar más. Cuando la cuenta llegó el cargo por un solo curso era de £11. 95! La camarera me impugna en este, pero dijo que era el precio estándar para un campo. No había aviso que vi en cuanto a este en el menú. El queso debe ser más cara jamás para no macaroni una gran ayuda. No volveremos.

Cuatro de nosotros fuimos al restaurante italiano en la rotunda para la cena. Cada uno tenía un entrante y un plato principal. El costo incluye refrescos fue de 86 libras. La comida era muy sabrosa y los alrededores eran muy cómodas. Hay unos cuantos restaurantes para elegir en la rotunda. Sin duda recomendaría el italiano pero me gustaría probar los otros.

Fuimos allí, ya que estaba muy cerca de la Hydro donde iba a un concierto. Aunque el lugar estaba bastante vacío, que tardó 10 minutos antes yo estaba servida. Reservamos aquí porque íbamos a ir a la casa ideal en el espectáculo secc. Fuimos al bar y grill a varios pisos de altura. Cuando llegamos allí era muy oscura y muy caliente. El lugar estaba prácticamente vacío. El personal era atento, no mucho semi de una opción en el menú. Los aperitivos estaban bien, pero el pecho, la principal era correosos macaroni era realmente sosa y tenía un regusto horrible, una especie de sabor de ajo. Mi pollo con puré era agradable pero cambié esta con mi hija que ella no podía comer macarrones y después de probar que no culpo a ella. Podría haber sido mucho mejor. Podría añadir que el muchacho que trabajaba en el bar funcionaba sin parar, aunque el lugar estaba bastante vacío él mantuvo el mismo ocupado.

Reservamos aquí debido a la ubicación de Hydro. Nos dijeron que sólo pudimos conseguir una mesa en 5. 15 por 90 minutos como máximo. Esto no fue un problema para nosotros, pero no hizo ningún esfuerzo en el servicio. Nos dejaron esperando en entre platos por un largo tiempo y la comida era mediocre. Nuestros dulces habían sentado esperando tanto tiempo el helado derretido en mushing y había arruinado el resto del desierto. No tengo ninguna idea cómo podrían servir comida en un estado deficiente. El personal era inútil, parecía aburrido y por lo tanto no conseguir una propina! Siempre dejar una propina! ! ! !
