Visited here whilst staying in Buckingham. Ordering was easy, food was quick and piping hot! Portion good size and good value for money.

The food at China Cottage is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the foods always with the best quality! I highly recommend this place.

Gone right downhill this takeaway, was nice and food cooked so well. My food was only just about eatable and cooked wrong for Chinese, seems like the cook has changed, in fact the pancake rolls I could not eat, had a strange bitter burnt taste. Pi

I think this is a great takeaway - its been in the town for years, under new management now, but they remain to offer good food, good friendly service. Long may it last 😊

Really gone downhill. One dish definitely had off chicken in it and there is a funny smell to the dishes. The oil used to cook the noodles tasted old and tarnished the flavour. Our chicken balls were dry and tasteless. We have been regular customers for quite sometime and we won’t be using China Cottage anymore.

This Takeaway has been plodding on as long as I can remember in Buckingham, the staff change, as well as the owners, but the towns folk keep supporting them. Its good to see a business last so long!!

I ordered sweet & sour chicken and special fried rice. I started to read a newspaper and was only a few pages in when my meal was ready. Ample portion and very tasty.

Tends to be our favoured Chinese takeaway. Food always hot and fresh service prompt. Prices have gone up so not cheap but fine for a quick takeaway.

I don't know if this place is under new ownership again but all I can say is that the "Special Chow Mein" dished up last night was anything but special comprising of nearly 100% noodles with virtually nothing else. Years ago we liked The China Kitchen but that's us finished with it. Noticed also that I was the only customer there between ordering and receiving. Perhaps that says something?

Might not be the most authentic or extraordinary Chinese food but we go there very regularly and are never disappointed. Good value for your money as well.

My partner and I have just moved to Buckingham and were looking for a good chinese take away. We ordered chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken hong kong style, salt and chilli crispy shredded beef, satay chicken skewers and chips with BBQ gravy (for my partner!). I enjoyed the chow mein and the satay sauce was just the right amount of spice with the chicken which was lovely. The shredded beef was a nice surprise as we normally get the one with all the sticky sauce and it was a nice change. Sweet and sour was a bit bland and the chips were rock hard. Other customers have mentioned the £1.80 grudge about the prawn crackers which i also happen to think is silly when you pay upwards of £20 for a meal. I am used to chinese takeaways giving you them for free. Service was OK, man at the front desk was pleasant. They dont take card - thats annoying. Average but tasty all the same.

We use this place every now and again. It's a pretty standard Chinese takeaway really. The food is ok and the people are nice.

My daughter is at university in Buckingham, so she's often looking for a Chinese take away of an evening, and this is her closest one. We were visiting her, so we decided to have a take way with her one of the evenings we were there. Coming from Jersey, we are used to things being more expensive than the UK, so whilst I note other reviews consider this expensive for what it is, to us it was on average £2 per dish cheaper, so something of a bargain! We had no complaints about the food as such, but it's nothing outstanding compared to other take aways we've had.

Have always used china cottage for take always, but was vert disappointed in the last one we ordered. Food was only tepid and meal for one was full of chunks of uncooked re and green peppers and onion. Beef dish was neatly all noodles and onion. Will defiantly not use again for a while as most of meal went into the recycling bin. Not a good experience.

This used to be our "goto" place for chinese food. Good service and great value. However, a while ago, new owners arrived, the prices went up steeply. And the chicken, instead of chicken breast, has been replaced by reconsituted stuff.

I've lived in buckingham for 6 years and always moaned there was not a decent Chinese take away having written off this place without trying it. Tried it for the first time last night. The food was fresh and vibrant and clearly cooked in fresh...

BEST SPECIAL FRIED RICE THIS SIDE OF THE WORLD ;) Good price, friendly service, quick to come out. They should definately do deliver though, because by not I feel that they are really missing a trick they would make a killing if they delivered especially to the university. I know we for one would have it about 3 nights a week.Love this place.Spring rolls aren't the best though.

The only true Chinese takeaway in Buckingham. Its been in the Town for years, and is acceptable if you want to collect a Chinese to eat at home. All the usual dishes available and always a friendly and prompt service.

Hi. We always use this chinese takeaway. Such amazing staff and owners. Duck rolls are fantastic and freshly prepared. 10 out of 10 stars if I could give them 10. They work hard at producing such quality food and my kids love the food here. Saying that we are eating from there this eve. I can't express how good the food is. Amazing portions and so worth the money. Always friendly and deserve every aspect of 5 star review. Food is exceptionally good. What else can I say. Malcolm Robbins And kids .Aylesbury

Had a takeaway and it was awful this place has really gone downhill. Food was stale especially meat had pork and it was hard flavourless like cardboard. The rice was awful the vegetable spring rolls seemed as though they had been there since last spring as did the beef and the rice which was almost inedible. As for sweet and sour pork try chewing through meat that it was impossible to bite into. Think they are gonna need to up their game or they will rightly close. We really need a decent Chinese in town that delivers.
