I ordered crispy beef and crispy chicken with a portion of egg fried rice. The food was dreadful. It had no taste to it..it was hard overcooked and it tasted strange. The egg fried rice was bland and dry and tasteless. They seriously need to employ a new chef

Lovely food from China boy, staff always welcoming and food is prepared quickly. Cash only though so make sure you visit the cashpoint before you go.

Only been once, the food was good, The Singapore chow mein was not as spicy as some places I have been and the chicken balls for the sweet and sour were huge.

Placed an order for delivery an item missing. Phoned to be told prices had gone up on the website have just checked up to date one and it hasn’t! So basically one dish missing, not happy as when placed order over the phone was read order back to me. Been ordering for years but definitely never again!

Worst Chinese I have every had. Chicken was like eating a rubber. I have been really I'll since buying food over weekend and same as my partner. Avoid unless you like the runs and stomach bug.

Preordered on New Year's Eve and told to collect within an hour. Turned up an hour later and waited for an hour and a half before my food was ready. Kept being told the kitchen 'didnt know what they were doing'. The server ended up unplugging the phone. Shocking organisation at a busy time of year.

Newish to the valleys and eager to find a good Chinese takeaway so I did my due diligence and tried many in the area.. this one is definitely my favourite. The food is always spot on. Its the only place that makes a curry sauce that I like.. the drawback is that you have to pay in cash and phone your order as you can't do it online.. but its a small bugbear really. They are worth the effort for antisocial people like me😉

Probably one of THE best Chinese food around! Never had one bad experience from this place, nice and friendly staff and the food is to die for! Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Use China Boy regularly and have always had a lovely meal. Polite, friendly staff and food always on time, whether picked up or delivered.

I normally go to Jade garden for my Chinese food but after moving towards Ystrad and hearing good things about China Boy I thought I'd treat myself. Looked at the menu online, picked up the phone, asked how long it would take for collection..... 15-20 minutes, perfect. Placed the order which came to about £15 just for myself, we confirmed my order I gave them my name and explained I'd be there in 20 minutes and I would be paying by card. To my shock I was told "we only take cash", I responded saying that it was very strange. Not only is there no cashpoints near but with Covid it's a lot cleaner to pay by debit card. I was told there is a cash point in the shop next door but it charges £1.25 to use. They then said I could go to tesco first. I'm just genuinely shocked, I cancelled the order and will be looking elsewhere. No prizes for guessing why they only want to take cash. Such a shame.

Great food a bit slow though. Food was supposed to be ready for pickup in 30 mins it was more than 45 mins

Waited 1 1/2 hours for food so i give them a ring for them to tell me they havent even started my order . Wont be getting anything from there again

Being from Nelson and loosing both of our amazing Chinese takeaways it's been hard to find one we like....... Found One....! China Boy is absolutely awesome.

House special fried rice. Bland with hardly any meat! Cheap processed/reformed chicken in the main dishes. First and last visit. Better Chinese food available locally.

Very good food at a good price. Fried rice was really nice and it had taste and colour. Curry was nice and spicy and not bland, not like some other takeaways near by. I would recommend.

Friendly staff. Food has always met or exceeded expectations. On one occasion I was delayed picking up my collection order due to traffic, the chap behind the counter kindly replaced my chips for fresh ones without even being asked! Brilliant service! Pricing is pretty average to anywhere else but I feel the food is better here. Thank you!

I would just like to say, that was the best Chinese I've had in a very very long time, I'm very fussy with Chinese, my 12 and 13 year old loved it too, I usually drive to bargoed to get Chinese, but I'd had a stressful day at work and didn't want to leave the house. Not only was the food great but generous portions and delivered with 20 minutes, and a friendly delivery person.
