Angel House in Caerphilly

Right where shall i start, After ordering nearly every week for the last good few years Ive been let down terrible. Last week I ordered number 75 stir fried king prawns with green peppers in black bean sauce,(Which was not many black beans and in unwanted oil)I took one mouthful and spat it out it was horrible and full of oil 2/3rds. But I gave them the benefit of doubt as weve had good meals from there. Friday 27/12/24 I ordered again this time number 77 stir fried king prawns with mixed vegetables i opened the container it was floating in oil and Unedible again. So this time i took a picture and did A fire test by putting a piece of kitchen roll to the juice and set it alight it burst into flames, Where my son in laws meal didnt( It would not Ignite) Please see the photo included with the oil floating on the top, I will mention we have never had a complaint before and can only think of a new Cook/Chef, I will never order from the Angel house Abertridwr again Sorry to say

Amazing Chinese takeaway food! Angel House is most definitely the best Chinese takeaway in the Caerphilly area. It could possibly be the best in South Wales! I haven't tried a single dish from the menu that I have not enjoyed... And I absolutely love their pancake rolls, which they cram with meat. Soooo tasty!! Highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already!

Placed a large order for a family gathering, the staff are wonderful, very friendly, very accommodating. I asked for the order to be ready for 6pm, it was, all boxed up, really well packed, superb temperature. Food was amazing, recommend to anybody. Thank you.

Ordered mushroom rice and I’m a vegan and they have added egg in the mushroom rice and now they did not even respond to my call I need my refund

I've lived in Caerphilly for 6 years now and have tried many different Chinese takeaways, but the Angel house is streets ahead in quality to any of them. Had a really nice meal for 2 last night and it was delicious. The soups are really good.

First time trying Angel house and was really impressed. Yummy food, very reasonable priced ( a lot cheaper than others in the town) ! Very quick delivery. This place is now my new go to.

Ordered food tonight was ready for collection within 10 minuets.. food was piping hot and I gotta say the best Chinese I have had in so long.. everything was so tastey Will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

Best chinese about, I won't go to any other one!!!!! they do my food just how I like it 😋 highly recommended

Good Food, Served by Friendly & Courtious Staff. However, I gave 4 Star rating, as when we got home with our Order. The Chips were not Fresh!

I switched to Angel House after China Boy's portions got smaller and the food started to taste different and boy, what a choice I made! My work makes me travel a lot, so I've tried different Chinese takeaways up and down England and Wales. I can testify that Angel House is the best Chinese you will ever try! The food is always freshly prepared and piping hot. I usually get a delivery, it's always on time, accurate and well-packaged. The food itself is genuinely so tasty with that umami flavour that makes you eat more and more. The ingredients are extremely high quality and the portions are huge. I cannot fault them and I've been eating there for years whenever I'm home. The food is just always spot on. Thanks Angel House :)

We have had food from here before, never wait 2 hours!!! The person answering the phone is so rude. If the food is going to be a long time tell me and I will not order it.

An hour passed and still no food so called them. They said it will come but have to wait a bit longer........ 2 & half hours later still waiting for food so tried ringing again but no answer for over half hour (200calls) eventually got through and they said it’s on its way. I explained that it’s already been 3 hours and I’ve been ringing to cancel but couldn’t get through etc.... and they put the phone down on me!!!! When food came it wasn’t even hot. Such a shame as loved this place but won’t be going back due to service received

First order today and it was excellent! The most tasty dishes we’ve had in a very long time! Assistant on phone was efficient and delivery driver lovely. Will definitely be ordering from here again

Ordered food and it got delivered 11 mins and 12 seconds after ordering and the distance is 1 and half mile away I sent it back because there is no way you can cook food / warm it up and give to delivery driver then drive to my address in that time so I sent it back and now tonight I tried ordering and had abuse from staff so I can’t order again as they said they can get my food fast or slow !!! I only wanted it cooked proper and safe so safer to say I won’t order again just to be on the safe side.

Ordered a meal last night as I use this takeaway quite regularly. But it was very disappointing ordered a chicken chow main lol very little chicken had egg fried rice no egg not what it use to be very very disappointed but still taste full.

Great food. Fresh and tasty. Lovely service. However far to much salt...... 👏👏

Don't order the "chicken curry". I use the term chicken very loosely! A lump of white jelly with raw onion and rock hard peas. Rung to complain and was simply told "We use different chicken for different things" with no offer of replacement or refund. Inedible and vile. They've lost my custom!

Best chinese about at the moment but the lady who answers the phone is very rude and grumpy .. but dont let that put you off the cook whos the owner is a lovely guy .. highly recommended
