The food is topnotch and the atmosphere is very good and clean, and they've got good customer service, best in manchester to all the restaurants have visited

I was there with my wife and we enjoyed every moment. Dj was brilliant

First time coming here we was searching high and low for a nice African takeaway at around 2am and found this spot. The food was incredible so flavoursome and delicioussssss only thing that let it down was how loud the music was in there, to the point we couldn’t even hear each other speak as a person that wears hearing aids it was too much to bare i don’t know if the music is turned up at a specific time but it was too too loud we would of stayed longer if it wasn’t so loud. But apart from that the Dj was actually amazing great hospitality would definitely recommend guys if you’re stuck on a place to eat.

The DJ was on fire. He kept the atmosphere super lively all through and his songs were a hit back to back. The food was fantastic ; the ambience was amazing.

This is a nice bar and lounge to go to. I have been here several times, no issues. But the one day I thought I could take my friends knowing that I won't be charged to enter, I was rudely told that me and my friends had to pay. The people who walked in before us were all Africans. They were not charged but as soon as the bouncer spotted me and my white friends he demanded that we pay I felt embarrassed, harassed and disrespected. I hate confrontation so I just payed and i even bought drinks while in chillz. I asked the people who were ahead of us if the paid and the said they didn't. What was interesting is that inside the club was not even busy. This is not the first time I have had comments made by othe white people that if your not african you are charged. I feel this very rude and unfair. There's better ways to make money. I shall not return here ever again. I hope the management improves the customer service at the door it was appalling.

1st and last visit here. Waited 30 mins for someone to come take a drinks order, and waited another 20 minutes for said drinks to come to the table, they didn’t have any salmon left so I asked for a recommendation of something similar which, when it came out was nothing like salmon at all. My boyfriend’s beef was so tough and chewy he couldn't even eat it. 2 plates left with food and no one bothered to ask if everything was ok. When the bill came I’d been charged £30 for my fish alone and I can’t find any fish on the menu for £30 so throw in being ripped off too! There were 3 tables occupied so it wasn’t even busy on a Saturday night and I can see why! Avoid unless you like bland food, long waits and being ripped off

Top spot for weekend chill out with great DJ and afro beats music

This place is polluted by noise from absurdly loud music on weekend nights. I actually thought I loved loud music but it seems the manager has a plan to wreck people’s eardrums especially on weekend nights. Got slightly better when the MC arrived. It’s unhealthy. My hearing isn’t the same even the morning after. The other issue is the incomprehensible delays. The type that leaves you sick from hunger induced dyspepsia from prolonged waiting times. Took over an hour to get served. No complaints about the food, but imagine eating sad and with little appetite for the food due to the observations I mentioned above? This wasn’t a one-off observation by the way.

Me and my friend have been to Chillz 3 times now. First time was for food which was nice but the portions were meagre for what we paid for. We were so disappointed so we've not had food since as you can get larger portions elsewhere for your money. Also the guy at the bar would not stop staring at me which put me off so much. He looks depressed like he's being forced against his will to stand at the bar. He's never smiled once and looking at his face completely depressed me and my friend. No customer service, zero. He didn't ask us how we liked the food. Next times we went was just for drinks. The coke and lemonade was flat and warm. Very disappointing. I had gin and lemonade. My friend had a spirit with coke. The woman used the same jigger without even rinsing it when she poured the spirit I think was Whisky then she poured my gin. She just didn't have a clue. The music was ok as was the general atmosphere of the place but please teach your staff how to pour drinks and customer service is key. The male staff need to stop staring at women as each time I've been it's put me off so much the intensity of the staring making me feel like I've landing from Space. Teach the staff to smile. Not much to ask really.

I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and I must confess that the restaurant hasn't disappointed me. The service is excellent, the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming plus the environment is relaxing! Additionally, the foods are tasty and reasonably priced. Due to excellent service consistently provided, I can't stop visiting the restaurant and telling my close friends and family about how good this restaurant is. However, there's only one suggestion that needs improvement, it's the waiting time for foods to be delivered 😋 😉 😄, apart from this, the restaurant remains the best place to visit if you want to eat good food and relax while listening to the calming Nigeria music! To the owner, pls maintain the standards and keep up with the good work 👏🙌👍

DJ is always top-notch no matter which DJ it is. The grills - asun, suya - is better than most in Lagos. Service is what let's the place down. Especially my second visit where we had to pay to enter but they hadn't planned properly to let previous occupants out. Ended up standing for almost 2 hours.

Nice customer service, delicious foods

Since moving to Manchester a few months ago, I have been to Chillz 5 times with friends and it’s an amazing experience each time we are there. I absolutely love the Asun and Suya and trust me, they make the best Suya in Manchester with the original Suya pepper. The staff are very friendly and polite. Chillz has become my favorite restaurant and hangout spot In Manchester.

The ambience at Chilz is just about ok..but thumbs down to Bussiwa night 12th August 2022.. I came from London wit few friends..we got in to chillz at 11pm and by 2.30am Bussiwa never turned up..absolutely out of other for a 20quid per head gig..over 4hrs waiting time to see the artist 🤢🤢

Attended a private party and had a great time, really nice place to chill out with friends, good food, vibing music, friendly staff and also has a nice array of drinks. With a section to hire out for private events, it comes highly recommended!

Definitely the best Nigerian restaurant I have been to and I have been to quite a few. I had a lovely experience, from the service, to the food. I was there for a friends birthday party, I couldn’t resist trying everything. From the Asun to the chicken wings, prawn tempura and my main pounded yam and egusi soup. It was such an amazing experience.

Customer service was bad! Not a smile. Myself and my Children, visited this restaurant on the 1st of May, 2022. They never have whatever was on their menu and on this occasion, it wasn’t different. I ordered 1 pack of Suya and 2 packs of Asun, as takeaway but, on getting home, I realised that, they were all, not fully packed and wasn’t freshly made, very expensive (Zero value for money), as they were not tasty. This is my second time of visiting this place and was given the same BAD treatment. I am never going back there. Trash service 👎👎👎👎👎

We made a Reservation for a Party of 5, on Saturday, 4th December, 2021. We arrived, got seated. Restaurant is immaculate. Food was Stunning. More than 5 Stars. Prices reasonable. However, it was over 45 minutes before our Order's were taken. That was disappointing. Also, the atmosphere was slightly intense.

I bought some fried rice from here at a concert I attended and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! Really enjoyed it and can't wait to visit the actual restaurant to try other foods on their menu and get more fried rice.

This is the best African restaurant and night scene location in Manchester in my opinion. Great food, friendly staff, great music, lovely interior and great night vibes. Never disappointed when I’m there. I always go for the Suya, pepper soup and Ayamase. I tasted my mums Fried rice too and that was very nice also! I’ll be ordering it next time I visit.

Chillz restaurant fried rice and jellof rice are the worst I have ever had in my life...Very tasteless. When I called them to give feedback the guy who picked up the phone became defensive and arrogant. I wont recommend it for any one at all. Since this happened I have looked online at other reviews and it seems I am not the only one. This restaurant is a joke. Don't waste your money there you will be disappointed

Recently, I’ve been to the restaurant a couple of times, and from first hand experience: I can say that the quality of food, drinks, and service is AMAZING!

My friend and I had a meal on Thursday night. I can say without hesitation that it was the best African meal I have ever had and the customer service carried out by Tundy was second to none. All that is left to say is :- Chillz is the Restaurant that you can take your Wife and Mother knowing that they will be impressed.

Great service and help with the menu, food was all delicious, but the tiger prawns were out of this world delicious. Didn’t take a photo as they were quickly devoured. A hidden gem in Manchester and a must visit!

The food was exceptional. Order grilled prawns for starters as well as grilled fish and plantain for main. The food was so good I had to get a takeaway too. Asides from the food being so good, the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was a plus. The customer service was impeccable 😊👌🏽
