Alex’s Fish Chips in Oldham

Came over from blackpool in my coach dropped passengers off and made my way to Alex's first time there staff were very friendly and the food first class had battered sausage,chips and curry sauce with a can great portion size and snip at 6.50 keep up the great work guy's 👍 👌

Thought I would relive a childhood memory by visiting this place after probably 20 years. This was a must after swimming every weekend with my dad, so I thought I would carry that same tradition on with my own son. Much less seating than it used to accommodate, but given the lack of orders and walk ins I saw while we waited for our food, it was probably best. Ordered kids meal and traditional fish chips w curry sauce. Not the best and certainly not the worst.

This place is amazing😍 the food was great and the service is on top. I would suggest it to everyone ❤️

I’ve started coming here most days for my lunch. The food is fresh and well priced the staff are lovely.

Disappointed use to be good back then just went today ordered a fish and chips meal and also a chip muffin the meal says it comes with a side of curry sauce upon leaving i asked the owner who was serving he said he put the curry on the chips this was very cheeky of him as he wouldn’t have to give a pot of curry which is actually stated on the menu i even asked with a side of curry sauce but he still put it on the chips as i got home and opened up the order i was appalled with everything the chips were definitely old and stale and have been kept in the chip warmer for a while they were all dry and rock solid un edible and portion was a joke same goes for the fish and chip fish was so soggy and batter was falling off and the curry sauce was like drops on the chips when it was suppose to be a side of curry sauce paid £11 definitely a rip off and quality was not good never again nearly broke a tooth today avoid like the plague id stick to my usual chippy thats simply fish n chips way better

Close to wear I live, reasonable prices, well cooked.

I must say the fish was very fresh and it was rather delicious. My family and I throughly enjoyed ourselves. I will visit again to order some more fish, in the meanwhile I hope you many blessings and success in your business.

Been ordering from here for as long as I remember! Food is cooked to perfection, hygiene is immaculate - not a spec of dust in sight and staff are lovely as can be. Share a lot of laughs each time I visit the shop which makes my experience pleasant! It’s definitely a must try if you are visiting the local area!
