The burgers are dreadful, nowhere dies it state that the beef burgers are laced with a awful mix of chilli and spices, the fries were oily, there is more atmosphere in a library than in this place.

The place is very clean and the booths are nice. The chilli chicken burger was a good size and spicy but not too spicy. Jalapenos and hot sauce.

Tried Very Peri Burger today. I would say best grill burger in Oldham. It was juicy , well cooked and full of flavour. Fast service and Very Clean restaurant. Highly Recommended. Staff Umair on the till was very friendly that make our experience even better.

Mixed Feelings at Players, Oldham Visited Players in Oldham with high expectations for a cosy meal. We opted for the mighty burger, the penalty kick burger, BBQ chicken wings, and the classic chicken wrap, all upgraded to meals with drinks and fries. Unfortunately, the experience was a mixed bag. The BBQ wings were a letdown, lacking any discernible flavour. It was as if the seasoning took a day off. Similarly, the burger buns didn't hold up to the task, disintegrating before we could even dive into the meal properly. It's a fundamental expectation that the vehicle for the burger should at least be robust enough to last the meal. On a brighter note, the staff at Players were the highlight of our visit. They were nice and friendly, greeting us warmly upon entry. Their demeanour was welcoming, which is a plus in any dining experience. The cleanliness of the place didn't go unnoticed, contributing to a comfortable setting. It's worth mentioning that we were the only patrons at the time, which was surprising. The staff seemed equally surprised to see us, which added a unique touch to our visit. Despite the shortcomings in the food department, it's clear that Players has potential. The atmosphere and staff suggest that with some tweaks to the food quality and preparation, this could be a go-to spot in Oldham. It's always a gamble trying out new places, and while this time it didn't pay off as we hoped, the foundational elements for success seem to be in place. Here's hoping Players takes the feedback to heart and scores big in the future.

One the worst food ever with rice no taste at all. Boiled yellow rice heated not fresh please try avoid this place.

Wish I read the reviews before eating here. I got the blitz burger, thick dry buns and small patty, it was all dry bread. The fries were good . Atmosphere was awkward because there's no music so I just had to listen to the conversation nears me. Go to the subway next door, it tastes better than this.

Staff were absolutley lovely. Food was well worth the money as its not expensive at all and decent quality I was full and really enjoyed it. Kids got waffles they were made beautifully. The ice cream and milkshakes were very very tasty. Would be nice if they had some music playing to create a buzzing atmosphere. But all round I would visit again. Thank you.

Nice place. Really enjoyed the double time out burger. Kids had waffles that looked amazing. Ice cream tasted like homemade. Just needs some music on or a TV with sports playing. Maybe lit up with neon signs inside. Make it look more American... Will be back.

Got a chicken wrap and burger. Burger was sour and wet from the Jalepenos that taste like they’re straight from Asda 😭 Could’ve made my own in the time it took for them to make.

Ordered chicken nuggets from the kids menu for my 19 month old daughter. Fortunately she didn't eat it all, because when my wife was finishing it off she found a staple in one of the chicken nuggets. In a kids meal. Besides that the chips are also unsalted and soggy, and the chicken is bland and greasy.

15 minutes to make 2 waffles. . . tasted like grannys beef curtains. AVOID

Ordered a beef burger and was told it’s a smash burger. It wasn’t, I watched the chef take out a pre made beef patty out of the fridge and put on the grill. The meat was well over cooked the beef shrank down half the size. Did not put cheese on the patty whilst on the grill, which I found strange, only to find out that they finish the burger in the microwave so the cheese is melted to liquid. The meat came out rubbery and I honestly couldn’t eat it. Asked for my money back which they agreed to. It’s a shame because it’s a very nice looking restaurant and menu looks really good. But sorry you don’t cook burgers in microwaves lol!

Visited at 11:30 am, approaching lunch time. One poor guy in the back, taking orders, preparing the food, answering the phone and serving. He got our orders wrong, don't blame him as he was under so much pressure. He was trying his best and doing a good job. Poor Management, Penny Pinching on the staffing levels?

If I could leave lower than one star I would. In short rip off, undercooked, bland. Chicken tenders with chips - I open the box and the chips and chicken were pale. The chips were undercooked. Flavourless chicken - I make it tastier at home. It’s as if someone put them in the fryer for literally 2 SECONDS. Hubbys chicken burger was dry, hard, bland and also undercooked chips. Rather have gone kfc it’s cheaper and tastier. Or even greggs. Never going here ever again. Waste of money and time.

Better than Archie’s. Wrap was filled very generously with chicken. Quality food. Enjoyed the milkshake.. quality ingredients used to achieve the thick creamy taste. They don’t skimp out here at least.

We waited 30 minutes for our burgers and another 10 minutes for our fries. After observing the staff for 40 minutes, I am convinced that they do not want to be working there. Either underpaid or have very little understanding about customer services and / or fast food in general. I blame the management more than the employees. Poor service and mediocre food, will not be returning.

Don't get me wrong milkshakes are the best in oldham. But the foods horrible. Just ordered and ate. Food was cold. They mixed my chips with half curly chips but they tasted like left overs. The burger meal was horrible. Bland with no flavour. IF I WAS YOU ORDER FOOD FROM ANYWHERE ELSE BUT ONLY ORDER MILKSHAKES FROM HERE COS THATS THE ONLY THING THEY DO GOOD!!!!!! Poor customer service. Ordered a delivery from the ‘buy one get one free’ offer, but only got one meal. Apparently was supposed to order two of the item and they were going to assume I wanted the offer! Before ordering, I called the place to clarify the offer and this was not stated to me. The male staff was unapologetic and gave me the option of collecting by closing of that day, even though I explained I chose delivery and paid extra for the service because I wasn’t in the position to collect. Of course, he was not bothered. The burger was good but the customer service was terrible, so will not be returning.
