Cold samosa, Madras had no spice, Chicken Samosa was cold, Madras had no spice, Ch Tikka was crimson with a sauce and too salty to eat and the yoghurt sauce was warm and fizzy! . 10% discount promised was refused. Used 1000 times before, never again

Genuinely the worst Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. The chicken tikka masala was the so thin it should have been listed as a soup. The lamb pasanda was tasteless and was only half full. I suspect this is just a blip in quality due to the rest of the excellent reviews for this place but it’s disappointing to be on the end of it. I wouldn’t risk going here again.

Ordered our first take away from them after reading great reviews, order arrived super quick, however it went downhill from there. Lamb pasanda tasted like sour yoghurt with no spices and i could barely bite into the meat. Partner had a lamb dansak and said his lamb was as bad and that the chickpeas were very dry and the flavour was bad. Spicy poppadoms were very dry as well. It was so bad weve binned the lot and had to order from somewhere else. May have just been a bad batch but unfortunately wont be ordering again.

Hadn't ordered from Chilli Inn for quite some time but happy to say it was still a top class experience. Food was great and delivery earlier than expected. Certainly recommended.

Disappointing! Where to start.....main meal portion sizes were on the small side as were the rice portions. Sadly the prices don't reflect that though. They are very similar price-points to other restaurants that offer food of a much higher quality and of more generous portions. The Handi main dish comprised a few pieces of mixed meat in a very thin sauce with no other identifiable ingredients. The Kashmir main dish contained none of the usual pieces of coconut or pineapple that you associate with this dish, but did contain (bizarrely) some glacé cherries. Probably the only bright spot for the food was the naan breads, which were nice. Service was polite but a bit rushed at times - plates were cleared while some of the party were still eating. We won't be visiting Chilli Inn again.

As usual, the food quality and delivery were fab but I have to say, the biryani was far too spicy this time and wasn't a good eating experience. I had to cover it in yoghurt to be able to eat any of it which was a bit disappointing.

ordered at 7.45 to be delivered at 8.45 but it arrived at 8.05 so way too early so had to reheat when guests arrived

I have been a massive fan of this place for years, since it opened. I went there last night with friends and sadly something has changed. We ordered poppadoms and pickles and the pickles were barely enough for 2 people, not 4. I ordered a lamb dish and it was so tough, I struggled to cut it with a knife. They changed it for me without hesitation which I cannot fault . Clearly the lamb had just been cut and cooked, not slow cooked as it should be. The person serving also seemed like he didn't want to be there. Usually they are very friendly but it seems like they just don't care anymore. Sadly I will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on.

Very underwhelming. nice bit of spice, but a bit dull otherwise. and not sure about the colour of the honey chicken. they are always redish like a masala, but this was beige; coloured more little a stroganoff, which was weird. fine, but not much better than that.

Food arrived earlier than expected which was great, however we ordered three different curries and two different rices and they all tasted the same. It never had any real flavour to it, which was really disappointing! Wouldn’t order again.

Ordered from here a few times over the years and always really nice. The only criticism was our Rogan was so hot we couldn't enjoy it. I'm sore we have had Rogan here before and it was milder.

This place is my go-to Indian takeaway and generally its great from a takeaway perspective. Food is normally very nice if you order wisely, personally a big fan of the Garlic Chilli Chicken (as pictured) which has pieces of green chilli and garlic cloves in the sauce. However some of the milder dishes are maybe too mild for me at least. Occasionally there is a variation in colour and taste, I can only assume this is coming from different chefs or available of ingredients from specific suppliers? However even on these occasions the food is still nice, just not 100% at the typical level. In terms of dining in, the restaurant is a BYO so other than tap water you will need to bring your own drinks. If ordering collection or delivery, the price is cheaper via the restaurant phone directly than using ubereats or justeat, even before accounting for those platforms order fees (correct at time of writting).

Great meal, first from this place and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be buying from them again. Not cheap but worth it

Really lovely good quality curry - delicious

I thought I’d give it a try, regret that decision. Chose Korma, like other reviews it was awful, tasted like hot condensed milk and not a lot else. The chicken crumbled it was so dry. Garlic Nan bread was as bad, it was covered in spoonfuls of raw garlic, like the lazy garlic you can buy. I had to scrape it off and re cook it on my air fryer. Finally the onion bhaji was just a ball of very dark brown crunch, no onion or mix inside, totally cremated.I just bummed it and ate the plain rice which was ok. I paid £16 for an awful meal. Should have listened to the other reviews.

This is by far the best quality Indian restaurant I’ve tried. Highly recommended

The food was delivered on time however was inedible, sadly it was basically cream and chicken, zero flavour in the korma what so ever and the keema rice was so salty (I assume this was the Keema) that I couldn’t eat that either. I did try a small amount of the peshwari naan which was lovely but with no accompaniments couldn’t eat that either. My daughter wouldn’t even try it based on how it looked! Like vanilla ice cream. Very disappointing and wouldn’t risk ordering from here again.

We love the food at Chilli Inn - we like to try other places, but nothing beats it.

Good things come in small packages (so I keep telling the wife) and this restaurant is no exception. Small, friendly, BYO local restaurant with a huge menu of dishes. I’ve eaten here several times and the food has always been really good. They even advise/warn you if a particular dish is going to be fatally spicy 🌶️ before you order, to avoid disappointment/a trip to A&E. All part of the service. Great little place and recommended.

The sag aloo was spicy and so was the jalfrezi was so spicy

consistently good quality food. Recently a few curry houses we use regularly have been a bit dissapointing, these guys havent let us down. Good portion sizes, great flavour and not watery at all. Never had a late or cold delivery. Thanks guys.

If I could give this place zero stars then I would! This one person who works here is a complete a**hole, every time I ask for a chicken curry he never gives me extra spice and tells me if I want extra spice then I’ll have to get a madras’s (the bright red one) when the others always let me have extra spice. Today I asked for a curry, he sends a bright red one so I called them and the rude one said “sorry but what do you want me to do about it” I asked him to send me another one.. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes arrived and it never came and now they’ve closed.. the other staff are so lovely but this idiot is very rude, wish I can find out who he is so I can report him! So angry

You used to be so good, my special biryani was like eating salt! It was that salty!!!!

Unfortunately the curry was very disappointing, extremely watery. Chips were cold and nann was inedible, stodgy and cold.

Usually give 5* but this time had tandoori mixed grill and the lamb was poor quality and chicken very dry. Hopefully just a one off

The tika main was a starter and not a full size like you have in restaurant

Lamb pathia that tasted like they’d chucked some overcooked lamb into some tomato soup. It had no vegetables and no spices. Worst curry I’ve had. Lamb danshak had undercooked lentils with a sour taste and also lamb that wasn’t cooked well at all. Never left food before but half of it was thrown away.

I've been eating here for some years now and have never had a bad meal. Good, friendly service and you can bring your own drink. Take away service is very reliable too. Book a table a little in advance as it is always busy. The chilli Inn special curry is a must!

Small and friendly restaurant with good range of food. Busy at weekends but weekdays can be quiet. Prices have risen over time so not the cheapest now a days but you can bring your own alcohol so this does offset the price difference considerably. I particularly like the peshwari naans here.

My family and I often eat at the Chilli inn and must say on each occasion the food has remained consistently good. The staff are always hugely accommodating and no request is too much trouble. The ambience has the feel of an authetic indian restaurant. Cost is very competitive within the area and with it being bring your own drinks, adds to the value. Highly recommended.

The only place we go to for a curry in Bristol. Never had a bad meal here - always 5 stars! Delicious curries, large menu choices and fairly priced. Highly recommend! ….and the restaurant is BYO

This is my local Restaurant. I have eaten in the Restaurant and have used their Takeaway service many time over the years. The food has always been superb. The staff are polite, and they have altered a meal to suit an individual's taste, (not too hot or spicy)

Food was not up to scratch compared to how it used to be. Very expensive for what we recieved. Wish I stuck to my idea and cooked my own now. Disappointed.

Went for a takeaway on NYE as the wait was only 30mins. My usual curry house was 2.5 Hours - (now i can see why!) Chicken rogan was runny and extremely watery (see pic). (And i had already mopped a load of water up with tissue!) The chicken was quite dry. Our cheese naan breads didn't have any cheese whatsoever and were very very dry. When i collected there was one family sat eating in the whole resturant now my guesses are thats because this place is rubbish!

Booked a table for 8 people, we had a good evening as the food and service were all excellent.

Just had a chilli inn special, pilaf rice and peshwari naan as a takeaway, it plenty of food to feed two of us (other half surprises me by coming home early and helping with my food!) the curry was really tasty with a good amount of heat. Thank you!!

Haven't ordered from Chilli Inn for a while as it's the most expensive place on Just eat but thought I'd give it another go as used to be a good takeaway. Unfortunately the food was bland and watery. Was messaged after an hour to say "food is on its way" to then have to wait another 30 minutes! Why am I paying a delivery charge for such rubbish service???? If they can't be bothered to provide good food with good customer service then I can't be bothered to order from them again. Definitely not value for money.

Inedible food. This was our first (and last) order from Chilli Inn. The reviews on uber eats looked fine so we ordered. The currys were so salty leaving them inedible, the naan was undercooked leaving raw dough in the folds plus the poppadom was stale. Our food arrived in 30 minutes which was a pretty clear indication that no effort was made. Super disappointing and a huge waste of money.

The butter chicken and the chicken korma were extremely pale and not what they should look like. The butter chicken tasted okay but the korma just tasted like cream with chicken. However delivery was quick and food was hot.

I've only ever ordered takeaways from Chilli Inn. As my title states, the food has been INSANELY DELICIOUS on every occasion I've ordered. I recommend the Chicken Biryani- wow!!

Ordered many times from Chilli Inn. Normally first class. This time, all 3 curry’s had very thin runny sauce, and they were lukewarm. Very disappointed, especially as their prices have increased a lot over the last 12 months.

The food and service were excellent as always

I regularly order from chilli Inn and used to attend the restaurant with my partner and family and friends regularly when we could. I've tried a large number of dishes on the menu with the chicken dhansak being a particular favourite! The biryani dishes are also very very nice. My partner really rates the chicken tikka! The staff are always friendly and I've never had a bad meal or any issues! Would reocmmend and will be back!
