Chilli and Spice Indian Takeaway in Croydon

Ordered food, came quick and hot but some dishes were really bad, the chicken tikka m was like rubber and the Jalfrezi full of oil and tasteless. Veg curry had no flavour and felling sick after it already. Spent £40 and not even one free popadom which are usually standard when ordering that amount of food. Would not use this place again, so many other curry in the area that area much better.

Been coming further away from home for years now and I’ve never had a bad experience! The meat is not fatty and everything is cooked to perfection. I’d recommend highly and I’m very fussy with my food. 10/10 and good customer service. One of the best in Croydon by far! ;)

Unpolite and rude service.The manager raised his voice while trying to find out if there was a mistake with the order,undercooked naan bread as well.Don’t recommend as they don’t respect their customers.Poor food same as service .

Food well below a decent standard... chicken was tough an chewy. Everything was flavourless. Nann was doughy and undercooked. Don't have an Indian often and won't order from them again.

We moved to the area half a year ago and have been trying to find a decent curry place. By far the best one in the area. Delicious, decent portions and free delivery if you go direct. Best bhahjis we've had for a long time. Only slight thing was took a while to get here but it was Friday night

What a fantastic takeaway food arrived hot and fresh we have ordered from here a few times and each time we have had a great meal would recommend trying a dish from here you won’t be disappointed

A bit oily, but really nice tasty food, first time of ordering as we are staying over, but would recommend. Only dropped a star for the oily ness.

This is probably the worst food we have had in a long while. The 'Paneer Tikka Masala' tasted like Heinz tomato ketchup. The mushroom poeces in Jalfrezi smelt rotten and we had to pick them out before eating. The biryani was tasteless and the accompanying raita tasted sour. Absolutely disgusting!

It's mediocre. Certainly not the worst place I've ordered from, but the dishes are way too oily for my liking and just a bit bland. I think that if they just reduced the oil, the the true "chilli and spice" flavours would come through more.

This Indian restaurant is the best in Croydon always cooks food so nice and delicious I never have a problem with them they are very kind always put little extras. Always have a smile on my face after I've finished my food

Has a takeaway last night and the food was simply divine, as always. The Tandoori Lamb Chops were excellent as was the Sag Aloo & Cauliflower Bhaji - I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Go on - spoil yourself!

I loooove this place: food, prices, delivery service, customer service, offers, they take cash or card. Food is great. I couldn't compliment it more. Just bear in mind if they are busy you will have to wait up to 45-50 mins, if not busy 20 mins. Our favourite takeaway

Amazingly delicious food. Hot and fresh like just been cooked. Swift delivery service and excellent customer service. Mr Khalis at the counter was very helpful and generous. I love their food and will recommend everyone to give it a try. If you like chilli and if you like it spicy then this the place in Woodside. Price is definitely very competitive and portions are generous size too.

Have had several dishes from there for months now and can honestly say they have all been good. Delivery can fluctuate from time to time, but that due to how busy they are. Overall pretty good

Without a doubt, this place does the best takeaway curries ever. The Saag Paneer, saag aloo & chicken tikka balti are incredible, both times I've used them, they have been fantastic. Perfection!

Just move to South Norwood found this takeaway on Google search. First time ordering from here food was fantastic. We had Paneer Tikka Mosala, Pillow Rice and Garlic Nan.

It was busy so I was told that there may be a wait for a delivery....it was worth it....food very tasty....well presented...would recommend

NO STARS AT ALL, BUT HAD TO CLICK ON ONE TO POST THIS MESSAGE. My family has used this takeaway for at least 3/4 years and had been very happy with the quality and service. About 4 weeks ago order, the food arrived late, was really unpleasant and felt very disappointed. I did not complain as thought probably an off day. Ordered yesterday 24 July 2016. Food was extremely late, arrived cold, but worst of all the paratha and poppadoms were clearly stale and inedible. The Chicken Madras tasted as if the chicken has just been popped in at the last minute no flavour or seasoning. I phone to complain, after listening to my complaint the person on the end of the line stated "thanks for letting us know". No apology, no concerns just that statement. The quality of the food and service has deteriorated I will certainly not give them another opportunity.

This is the second time I ordered from chilli and Spice. Food is very nice and I particularly liked the free papadoms got with the order.

Not sure why the reviews are so poor. The food is fantastic, and reasonably priced. Would particularly recommend the lamb tikka balti.

So in the 5 years ive lived in the area ive had takeaways from here regularly. To be fair the food has always been really good. However the last couple of times its been really slow in arriving and cold on 2 occasions. Tonight i was told delivery would be 40 mins. 1hr 20m later it arrived, driver appologetic sorry sorry busy blah blah.. told him we would not be using them again for the above reasons. Again was tasty, but until they sort out their service i shall not use them again

Nothing Food was flavourless and meat was tough. Chutney was watery. Will not go there again

Avoid this place like the plague. 30 minute delivery time... 45 minutes later we received one of our curries, we had ordered two, when calling to request the second we were told it wasn't ordered - my wife spent 5 minutes negotiating the spice, flavour and heat of her curry with the chap on ordering - it was her curry that was missing, mine was delivered and was supposed to be spicy, tasted like a korma. They didn't resolve the situation because they already had our money, then hung up. Disaster, choose another place.
