Chikn Shack in Southampton

Changed my original review, second time here and the customer service is Bollox, ordered to collect only to turn up 20 minutes later to find shop empty and they hadn’t started my order. Won’t be using them again. One burger lovely and hot the other was tepid. One person in this shop isn’t enough. When there’s a lot of competition in the area you need to be on your game in a Saturday afternoon.

It’s saying it’s been delivered when it’s hasn’t

What is this delightful place ! Well it was way better than I expected. I was expecting a few chicken pieces and a chicken burger on the menu : it has WAY MORE . Fantastic selection of chicken done in different ways. I didn't expect the half chicken to come in a sauce. And it was delightful! Great service too, friendly staff! Thanks very much guys. I'll be back for sure 😃

These were the best sweet potato fries i have ever tasyed. Crispy and flavoured. Not greasy at all. A good brioche for the burger. And really reasonably good portion of chicken breast. Staff was super friendly too.top marks!

This place was my favorite but unfortunately the food quality has dropped a lot and it is not as good as before.

Delicious food, I order from them every week, much better than any chicken shop in Southampton, especially the tower burger and Mac and cheese bites - I'd eat them all day! -- yummy food!

Chips were good, lettuce in the chicken burger was on the sad and brown side, the chicken wings had been chilled then reheated, weird texture.

Day by day they’re being bad to worst. Took too much time. Very upset with the service.

Amazing place! Ive been eating here since few months, after the gym. And I love how quickly they prepare my order. The staff is very kind and always accommodating. Chicken is very flavorful. I totally recommend.

Absolutely love chickn shack! I feel really bad as I reviewed this place on Uber eats not realising that the rating was based on the store and not Uber eats delivery it’s self and only gave it a one star and there’s no way for me to change it!! Always so brilliant and their spicy fries are my absolute favourite 🤤 will definitely use them again but will only ever collect myself from now on.

Burger and chicken wings are good but chips arrived stone cold. Wouldn’t bother me normally but I don’t have a microwave or air fryer to heat them up so I’m a bit upset especially as I’m not feeling well today which is why I ordered in

Was not up to its usual standard at all chips were overdone and hard , chicken had a weird taste to it so it ended up in the bin £30 down the drain

Best 'Chikn' in Southampton. Even though I live about a mile and a half away, I have to get this delivered after a long day at work, because it just is that good. Actually crispy and not greasy fried chicken, loads of chips, delicious dips and top notch burgers. Amazing value with the deliveroo promo (£7off when you spend £20) the meal you see before you cost £13!! Yet to try wings but can't wait to try them soon. Always hot and delicious. 100% recommended. Clean and fresh! Took a bit longer than expected to get my order ready. However, i was generously compensated for this with free mozzarella sticks and jalapeño cheese poppers! I recommend the crispy chicken burger (a little spicer than expected), but delicious! I also recommend the sweet potato fries, jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks! I also loved the garlic mayo dip; fresh and balanced! Would order again in the future!

I liked this place a lot , but unfortunately you can't eat here, is to take out only, so no bathroom here. however, the food is very good I recommend the chicken hamburguer and the chicken box with rice. The staff is very friendly, the food is good quality-price. i recommend here.

Unfortunately, we ordered meal deals and received no drink. This is a shame as we are regular customers and Chikn Shack has always seemed to provide a reliable service. We particularly depended on this restaurant as drinks were said to be included and that is something we were looking to order.

First time here today. The food is fresh and tasty. But definitely overpriced. Shame.

Food is always freshly made, portions and prices similar as in other places. Close to my place so visit a lot

Ordered at 6pm, delivered at 7.51pm - food was cold and had to be reheated to make it edible

Great chicken burgers! Hot, crispy and tender. The cut of the onions and lettuce and amount of sauce is spot on as well, top marks. Hasn't got a dining area, just a sofa/bench to wait on so order ahead online if you want to eat right away. Fries were good but not exceptional, sweet potato chips were very good though. Usually a parking spot outside but it's on the road so no guarantees.

By far the best in Southampton for rice boxes and their chips are freshly made and taste fantastic. Shocked by how good the food was and great value for money. I'd have paid double for the quality received

Delivery driver was awful, couldn't be bothered to go to the front door, decided to traipse through the back garden instead, scared the life out of me, totally unacceptable!

This place used to be good, I recently had the grilled burger meal, and asked for hot, the chicken basically had no marinade or sauce on it, was a really dry burger which had no peri flavour, even though the meal cost £14, won't be returning

Love the lunch deal, good value with the chicken sandwich and the fries are tasty. The service was excellent and it was good value for a quick lunch. Clean location and well taken care of.

When I ordered it said it was going to only be around 25 minutes and I kept checking to see if it was on its way and it kept getting later and didn’t arrive until 10 past 9. When the food arrived the chips were cold and like they had been sat out for ages aswell as the burger had gone soggy. So disappointed as I’ve used this restaurant before and had a good experience

I've eaten here many times. Couldn't recommend a better place for chicken wings and burgers, Fries are immaculate too. deffo one of the best spots in Southampton

Chickn shack is a lovely place to eat food is always freshly cooked and the chicken is cooked in an exceptional way can't stop eating it love the lemon & herb and will not stop eating from this place its a 5* for me love it also the customer service is brilliant always .

Delicious food with Excellent Quality 5/5 , Recommend for Every food lover.

No spice, tasted very plain and bland. A lot of potential but unfortunately didn’t deliver. Their hot flavours were less than mild so don’t bother getting hot, their Lebanese flavour tasted like it had no seasoning and the their wraps were very dry.

Chicken was extremely tender and the sauce was great

I've never had a wrap where 70% of it was bread, I've never had chicken wings with floppy skin and sauce like runny dough. I was truly amazed but for all the wrong reasons

Perfect grilled chicken… you can’t find a better place. Chicken wraps are highly recommended. Chips could be better though.

£9.48 for a 'portion' of fries and a flimsy looking flame grilled chicken (undercooked) burger. I won't be returning.

This place is UNDERRATED! Amazing service and they even added a complimentary chicken for us.

Disappointed to see the prices go up so much

3.49 for 3 mozzarella sticks, 3.49 for fries, 9.49 for a spicy chikn sandwich, 1 for garlic sauce and 1 for perinnaise. Rare for food places in southampton to realise that the sauces are one of the most important parts of the meal. The perinnaise is a very nice sauce. 3.49 for a mere 3 sticks is VERY steep BUT at least I can say they are marginally better than normal sticks I may get elsewhere, a bit thicker with a nicer breading. Fries were crispier than what I get from other places, quite noticeably so. And now, the chikn burger. Very nicely done, quite minimalist in terms of ingredients but there's a reason for that and that's that they want to draw attention to the excellently seasoned chicken. I find it rare that places get the seasoning done so well, it was really good. This place is worth the money.

The driver could not find the building and the food was cold by that point so I would like a refund.

Best place in Shirley for anything chicken!! The chicken and rice box is great value for money and you can just taste the absolute quality of the ingredients used. Chip portions are very satisfactory and the customer service is bar none!! A multi time repeat customer here for many moons to come!!

Burger bread was stale. Hardly any flavour to the chicken. Over priced for what it was.

Their food is really good but just don't order the cheeseburger... The "cheese" is injected into the patty itself, it looks like cheese but it doesn't taste like it. Other than that, everything on their menu is really good.

I will say excellent Halal burgers.. My wife and I loved it very much.

Ordered delivery and was very disappointed after reading such good reviews. Beautifully packaged and fresh but taste wise a real let down. The chicken tenders were just pieces of chicken breast without coating, absolutely swimming in sauce, and so dry they took the moisture from my own mouth. Peri seasoning came separate to the fries so meant they were unevenly coated, but the taste of the seasoning was good. The burger had a lovely soft brioche bun, wasn’t soggy nor greasy, but again taste wise was nothing to write home about. The chilli cheese bites had lovely gooey cheese filling but the fried coating was strangely sweet and reminded me of fried doughnuts. Overall wouldn’t recommend unfortunately

Cheap price, but good standard nice chicken and cheese burger with a choice of how you flavour it and build. Cooked to order so it's not warming under a light. Just needs Salt and Vinegar Why go to the always rubbish chain burger joints

It didn't arrive! After several phone calls from the lost driver, he ignores my calls and don't even deliver my food. I made it clear where my address is and even txt his mobile where I live and how to get here. Trying to get a refund is an aboulte nightmare! The whole experience has been so stressful. Just eat, please issue my a refund. I did not recieve this order.

Best chicken I've had in years, even better than Nandos. The chicken burger was perfectly cooked, wasn't greasy and was packed full of flavour. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and fell off the bone as you ate them. I'll 100% will be coming here again. Top marks.

So, first time I went to chikn shack and I think it was a mistake because I just can’t ever get enough I’m always visiting or ordering online. The food is amazing and I am a big foodie everything is cooked to order and so fresh and the flavours just unreal in the wings and spicy chikn burger. My family in portsmouth are so jealous when I snap them all the time so please can more branches get open asap lol I promised them they are soon haha. Thank you guys

Missing food Put an order through for a couple of items and one of them was missing. called the restaurant to ask to send it to us but was told they don't have a personal delivery driver and was asked to go through with Deliveroo app and try sort it there. I told the employee that the app was not being helpful and that we'll get a response in 48h and the employee told me that is too late. at first i thought he was trying to get rid of me as he sounded pretty busy but apparently i was wrong. the person was really helpful and offered 2 options to resolve the issue which were not possible for us [i.e. pick up the food bla bla]. He then proceeded with a new idea which honestly only a person that really cares about customer service would come up with. The issue was resolved and the customer service was exactly as it should be. To the gentleman with a lovely accent that was working on Friday the 7th January at 20:23PM, Thank you very much and i hope your supervisor sees this review as you deserve to be appreciated! Cheesy review but was honestly impressed.

Where do I even start. After being told the reviews for this place was excellent I had high expectations however boy I was wrong. The peri peri chips were oven cooked and the peri peri seasoning arrived separately in a container??? The full chicken we ordered was a medium spice (we normally like quite hot food) but my goodness this was extremely overpowering. We ordered grilled halloumi thinking there would be multiple slices however one slice just arrived in a plastic container? So disappointing and so overpriced! will not buy again.
