The lamb Saag and onion bhajis were delicious.

Had takeaway ordered by phone. Anhar very helpful and polite and efficient. Food arrived in 35 minutes and piping hot very enjoyable apart from bombay potatoes which were hard but hopefully next time they will have been checked beforehand but overall great

Quality food and excellent service

Ordered the food at 9:15pm food arrived at 11:56pm … for why I do not know… food arrived freezing cold and damaged was also missing items I then called up and questioned them about this and was laughed at and told they was closed. Once I warmed the food up it was swimming in oil and tasteless. Never in my life have I ate an Indian and it has been completely tasteless. Will never order from here again. And I advise you not too.

Order never arrived! Called restaurant and guy sounded hammered saying couriers left. That was approx an hr ago! No refund. No food. Scam artists. Avoid

The most delicious food so super fresh and arrives so hot its like it just cane off of the stove. We order from here every week and the quality is always so high and tastes the best compared to all others I’ve tried. Incredible food!! You must try.

We ordered home delivery and had items missing. When I called the restaurant they had the attitude that it wasn't their fault, but ubers . Even though he read my order out to me . I asked if he would rectify his mistake and send me the missing food but they point blank refused so we were a meal short . The food itself was OK but I find Spice better in Barkingside. We won't be ordering again and I would suggest maybe a course in customer service .

Only used twice so far as a replacement to another local Indian. The reason for trying was due to being dissatisfied with constant delivery issues, and Chigwell Tandoori are much better. Food is on time, and the food is excellent. The chicken tikka masala is brilliant and rich (not swimming with coconut which is common elsewhere now) and the dhansak is well balanced. Onion bahji and saag bahji are significantly better than our last restaurant. Naan is maybe a bit too dense but good flavours. Plus excellent customer service with complementary poppadoms (something that other restaurants flat out refuse even on large/late orders).

Just the best take away in the area. Lovely friendly staff and spotless. Food is superb. Easy parking to pick up and also delivers

Excellent takeaway, always hot and fresh

Do all the bangladeshi indian takeaways in barking/ilford/dagenham have the same rubbish supplier for curry and naan bread?. There is no difference to any of their curries and they all taste the same and not very good. I give up on just eat now for an indian takeaway its just not going to happen and i find it hard to find a decent geunine indian restaurant around these parts having to travel down to whitechapel for a decent curry. Whichever one i choose around here is just the same tasting rubbish - no difference what restaurant you choose. Curry here was also rubbish and its the same old naan bread that seems like its been defrosted and just thrown in an oven rather than freshly made.

Lacked seasoning across the dishes. Lacked that pungent garlic. Otherwise great

Excellent food as always. The curries, veg dishes, and specials are fantastic. Tandoori I’m not a fan of. Far too much seasoning.

Great food, unfortunately lack of care and consideration packing my delivery resulted in major spillage in the bag. They should have put the items in two bags, rather than piling up in one bag. All the weight caused the bottom containers to split and create carnage. Please see photos. I would expect a refund. Chigwell tandoori please contact me. Food ordered Friday 18th October 2019.

Great local take away. The food is extremely tasty and you can tell they use quality ingredients Also they cater for any allergies or special requests in a professional manner Staff are also very Professional :)

Been going here since it first opened. Never had a bad meal. Last night i changed my order. Didn't fail! Garlic chilli chicken from here is the food of gods! Been back very Saturday and wobt even try anywhere new. Superb food

We order from this shop at least once per month. Always fresh food and very friendly service. Highly recommend the Chicken Tika Biriyani.

This is now our regular. If you want a curry that isn't greasy, full of flavour then this is for you. Even the onion baji is on point and not greasy like other places. Dansack is a great shout. Pathia and bhuna was great too. Looking forward to trying some new bits next time!

After having a meal from here last night, we remember why we had not used this takeaway for a while. Although the sauces were tasty, especially the dhansak, the chicken was very strange. The pieces were suspiciously square and had a peculiar processed texture and had not taken the taste of any spices. It was as though the chicken was plain, cooked and just added to the different sauces. Luckily, there wasn't a large amount of chicken in any of the dishes. We might buy just the sauces from here in future and cook our own chicken to add. We were disappointed.

Ordered from some terrible place called jahalabad and it was awful two spoonfuls and I chucked it away still hungry I ordered from here and really enjoyed a good indian

Ceylon curry was excellent as was the biryanis, korma and chicken curry very watery. Worst part they didn't deliver the popodoms I payed for, delivery guy was lovely

Order placed and should of arrived at 8:35. it is now 9:47 and still nothing! phoned restaurant twice with responses of will be 20 minutes and another 10 minutes. No apology or anything!!

We ordered our food 3 hours before it got delivered after 4 phone calls they kept putting us back without explanation. Order came WRONG and wasn’t nice at all also cold!!!

Food unfortunately cold. I ordered a set meal for 1 for my partner and for myself I ordered extra Poppadoms plus onion salad, mint dip, chutney and raita. All the extras arrived but only 1 poppadom. What a waste. It's all I wanted. Couldn't get through to the number. Spoke the Just Eat chat who advised this review.

My first order.. Food was cold and dry, too much onion in the king prawn jalfrezi, i wouldn't order from here again.

Watery curry could only taste the water and which made the curry awful. The chicken tikka masala is probably the worst i have tasted where they just threw the tikka pieces into a tomatoe sauce. Complained directly to the which wasnt impressed with the response, wont be ordering from here ever again. This really isnt an authentic india, better off buying a indian real meal from a supermarket!

Competing with two swanky indian restaurants, this little place in the middle of a housing estate really delivers, and they also deliver too. Great value, great food: top notch tandoori spot.

I've been having the same main meal for over six months. The previous order the chicken was cut differently or it was a different type of chicken and the taste wasn't the same but despite that I gave a good review. Ordered again and specifically asked that the dish be the same as all the previous orders and the chicken to be as before but it wasn't. Also asked for some minimal additions to my Biryani which wasn't complied with. Not sure what's happened. Perhaps an unusual lack of care - hence the honest review.

Always is very nice ,only thing is sadly the lamb wasn,t tender but that can,t be helped ,we never usually order lamb just fancied a change ,i,m not complaining as the meal was very good .

Dansak as good as always, great dish. Normally no problems but missing a rice dish replaced by a veg curry which ended up being spicier than the bhuna and the keema naan had hardly any meat. Rare to have any problems with this restaurant though still my fav Indian food.

Very pleased with excellant meal again ,we love the onion Bhaji as they are flat and not greasy like some places ,also a lot of the dishes are new to us as other places don,t do them .

Since useing this take away we haven,t been dissapointed the food has always been tasty ,delivery is early rather than late and the food arrives hot .

Food was not ready when I arrived - they had not read the order correctly specifying a later collection time and thought I wasn't coming. I had to wait whilst it was prepared. It was good once I got it though! Good taste, would use Chigwell Tandoori again.

Food arrived 40 mins late (hour and a half total). Busy Saturday night but even so dont expect thar long a delay. Food was ok when it arrived.

The side orders were all really nice, but the curry itself was quite bland and the chicken was very over-cooked; chewy and dry. This was the first time we had ordered from them so maybe it was a one-off. Everything else was really nice.

Meal was scheduled for delivery at 20.45. The website then said "the restaurant has added 10 minutes to your time" so we presumed that means 20.55. Still hadn't arrived by 21.05 so we called the restaurant. Was told the driver was 2 minutes away. Didn't arrive until 21.15.

So so bland, the dishes all tasted the same - of nothing. 4 pieces of paneer in the whole dish, they also left out the flavour and spice.

The food is generally of good standard from this restaurant however it took over one hour for it to arrive and when it did it was the wrong order. The restaurant apologised and re-sent the food which took another 30 minutes with no compensation for the terrible service..

Tried almost all of the takeaways within a 5 mile radius of chigwell and this has to be by far the best. You won't be disappointed if you order from here

They were 20 minutes late, driver couldn't find the house even though it comes up on GPS and calling us twice for directions. Food was cold and tasteless. To top it off they forgot to deliver the bottle of drink and had the cheek to ask whether they could owe it to me, like I would ever order from them again. Idiotic would be an understatement, I want my money back.
