Hay muchos restaurantes y cafés excelentes en Bold Street, pero este restaurante vegetariano es realmente el mejor. Tenía una comida vegana fabulosa allí.

Amazing food and a warm, welcoming environment. An absolute must if you visit Liverpool. Nick (the owner) is the most helpful, kind host, who also happens to be an amazing cook!

El desayuno es otra cosa, muy bien presentado y muy sabroso. El personal es extremadamente amable que siempre ayuda. El café se encuentra en una tienda de discos para que pueda examinar los registros mientras espera su comida.

I called into chickpea on Saturday morning, and had the veggie breakfast, the food was delicious, and the sausages were out of this world. The service was outstanding, and the cafe had such a good relaxed vibe. The decor has an arty funky vibe. I chatted to the owner - Nick, what a lovely, friendly and welcoming guy. Top marks for a unique place and fab hospitality. Will definately visit Chickpea again. Thanks

Cannot fault this place, great atmosphere, great food, perfect portion size, friendly staff, inexpensive and it was absolutely delicious! We had the vegetarian platter so we could try lots of different things and I loved all of it! (and I'm a fussy eater!)

First time we've ever been to an Indian restaurant for lunch. Glad we did. Great atmosphere and service. Food excellent and plenty of choice. It's a mix and match and share dishes concept, which is great. However they suggest 3 dishes each, which may be too much to eat. We (table of 4) chose 2 dishes each, plus rotis/pures, on basis we could order more if we needed. We didn't, as what we had was more than sufficient. Good helpful service and great atmosphere. We shall return, perhaps try out the evening service.

Visited Chickpea a few months ago for breakfast having walked past a few times and wanting to visit. The veggie breakfast is so good, great value for money and very fresh! The homemade veggie sausages are especially good and the coffee is great too. The cafe really cute, beautifully decorated, and was playing great music! They have done a great job with a small space. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, just took quite a long time for the food to reach us -- although it hadn't been open very long at the time so this could just have been teething problems. Would definitely recommend!

One of the best veggie breakfasts i have had - so many places just offer a standard breakfast but without the sausages and back ...but this place had great veggie sausage hash browns and halloumi too! Was very reasonable for £7 including any hot drink. The staff were really friendly and warm. Will definitely be recommending to both veggie ad no veggie friends and coming back

I had read about this place in Independent Liverpool, and wanted to check it out. I wasn’t disappointed! Hidden in the basement of Sohos is this unique family run cafe. Good selection of home cooked food; we had the Vegetarian sharing platter, which was delicious, and lots of different flavours. Laura was working alone, but we didn’t have a wait and the food and drink were served quickly and were delicious. Would 100% recommend this place, as somewhere a little bit different- it’s not to be missed!

We had a delicious lunch at chickpea, the menu was varied and the homemade samosas and Goan soup particularly worth a mention! The location is fun next to the record shop and the chilled out atmosphere was very relaxing after a lot of walking around the city. 5 stars, will definitely visit next time we’re in Liverpool! Cheers, Amy and Jason

My wife and I found Chickpea by pure chance after we had been to Fact to see a film. What a gem of a place, neither my wife and I are vegetarians but we where suprised how great the food was, we popped in for a quick snack and our meals were really tasty and filling. The young lady at Chickpea was very nice and we were made very welcome to her café. We will definitely be going back again and we wish her well with the café.

Whilst visiting Liverpool a friend recommended the 'Chickpea'. I'm not a vegetarian, but as a visitor, appreciate a recommendation. Wonderful, flavoursome fresh food in a unique setting. Very chilled and love the lack of commercialism. Will see you again on my next visit and would highly recommend!

I saw this place on Facebook and thought it sounded really lovely so when I found myself in Liverpool I took myself on a solo date and I wasn’t let down. The coffee was lovely, and so was the food. I had a chickpea mezze for one and it was so welcomed on a cold day. The prices are so reasonable and the customer service was 10/10. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out, support your local/small business owners!

I visited with my sister (who is a lactose intolerant, gluten free vegetarian!). The fact it vegetarian cafe was what grabbed our attention. Then the smell of chickpea curry hit us.. and it drew us in! We followed our noses to a cosy little nook downstairs.

Super tasty food. The chef was lovely, nice and friendly and the atmosphere of the place is cosy and laid back. I'd defiantly go again, I felt very comfortable there and relaxed. There was also lot to choose from and I felt full and satisfied after the meal. There was lots of healthy filling choices as well as nice smoothies and coffee's!

So disappointing! As a vegan I am always seeking out new places and this was poor. Vegan sharer mezze ,  definitely wouldn't call it a sharer tiny and badly put together. And the coffee don't charge coffee shop prices of you can't make coffee guys. (Flat white in a glass too )

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.

Nice cup of coffee thanks! Greeted by Holly who was chatty and took my order with advice when asked for (type of milk used, how many shots). Not a regular at Starbucks but would return. Holly wished me a happy holiday too! This after the the smoothest transit trough the airport ever. Lots to like today at Liverpool JL airport.
