Chickanos Huddersfield in Kirklees

Last 2 days I've tried calling the Huddersfield branch to place an order but it seems the number is disconnected. If I want to order online, it takes me to ubereats, I refuse.to use uber as their customer service is rubbish. How hard is it to have a working number on your website or on Google.

Too expensive for what it is. I would not call them premium. I only stopped going as price was too much. People should not be too greedy for money and charge a reasonable rate. For £10 per burger def not worth it. Only fools would pay this much.

This used to be the best takeaway in Huddersfield for the last 5 years, unfortunately now the chips have been changed and are terrible and the Barr drink brand needs to be disbanded immediately, if I had to choose between drinking a Barr drink and having no arms then I’d be no good in a Mexican wave

Gave wrong address on uber eats. Called these guys instantly to try and resolve but the guy was very rude, slammed the phone down on me. Cooked and sent the food anyway at my expense

Person answering the phone call was extremely rude. Kept hanging up without listening to the customer. Would not order from here. Bad customer service.

I have ordered food today from Huddersfield chickanos from Uber eats and I ordered 2 burgers.the burgers was cold and chips as well not enough warm or hot Buns was as it was packed directly from fridge.if we pay than the food should be warmed.waste of money and if ask for refund they will not.waste waste of money .

The chicken wings were undercooked, I highly advise anyone to avoid this place 🤢

First time I have been this place .kids meal was so spicy the guy served me he said it’s not spicy and the fries cold also my order is wrong I asked chicken breast and they gave me half chicken not nice at all .

Im really not sure whats going on but my 6 wings came in a bag? Not a box anymore? Not great when your trying to eat in the car🤣. The new chips are awful 🤢 and whooooooooo on earth decided to just stock barr drinks? Sort it out please 🫣🤣

Chicken was undercooked and pink and chips were dry and gooey chicken we phone to sort out the issue and he turned around and said it can’t be so when I said send me your number he hung up the phone and didn’t send me it I’ve tried ringing and he won’t answer very poor customer service my friend probably has food poisoning

Very nice chicken, definitely made fresh n less saltier than the colonel's chicken. Even the salad bowls are quite nice n fresh.

The food at Chickano’s is absolutely delicious! The Nashville chicken burger was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The fries were fresh, and the sauces were spot on. Highly recommend😋😋😋

If you love burgers and wings, this is the spot! The Mexicano burger had just the right kick, and the peri wings were finger-licking good. A must-try!

I cannot express how terrible my experience with Chickano’s has been. Wish I could give them 0 stars. They managed to hit rock bottom with their service – not only did they send HALF my order, missing ALL the burgers and the kid’s meal, but they also didn’t bother answering the phone when I tried to contact them to fix it. No reimbursement given. Barely scraped an apology from them. How is it even possible to run a business with this level of incompetence? This isn’t the first time their customer service has been awful either – it’s a consistent problem. Their complete lack of care for their customers is shocking, and the attitude they show when something goes wrong is unacceptable. Chickano’s is an absolute joke of an establishment. Save yourself the frustration and order from somewhere that actually respects its customers and gives you what you paid for! Especially those that spend £80+! DISGUSTING

One of the best peri peri burgers going!

Very expensive for a very poor burger - did not even eat the fries the servers did not even supply a fork to eat the coleslaw which was dry. There was 2 off us when asked for forks he handed me one and when I looked at him and waited his manger who was Standing there in his outdoor clothing behind a food counter ! Stated why I was staring at the service as if he was an idiot ! His words Don’t waste your money there are 50 nice food places within 2 mins of this place.

I went there the other day and the staff are super nice and friendly, the cleanliness of the area was not an issue. I ordered the buffalo ranch meal the BBQ buffalo ranch burger was really juicy and had many flavours, and the chips were super crispy and nice. However the Korean burger meal was good but not as good as the Buffalo ranch burger, the Korean burger lacked some flavours and the chips were not good for that price as I was expecting the chips to feature more like premium, the food size overall for both meals were small for that price.

Had the buffalo wrap meal. The food was nice, the service was nice, the que time was short, solid 4/5. only issue for me was the price of the wrap meal it costs a lot more than other places.

Fix your phone been down for weeks now traveled 3 miles home to find my order was all messed up with your phone line down how are customer's ment to get in contact with yourselves with out travelling back and forth not the cheapest of orders either.

Awful staff! I was stood a few steps behind a customer with learning difficulties waiting for my food. Staff was giggling at each other due to his disability! After the customer left, I asked to speak to the manager about this and the reply was “ I am the manager!” Laughing at individuals with disabilities? You can’t get lower than this.

Food not on point ordered burgers bites 5 meals intotal for 1 Adult 3 kids and the burgers were to salty kids hardly ate anything but the fires

Friday night (28/09/24) you had 2 clowns on the counter with no customer service skills. Don’t know which bin they popped out from. Made a phone call order, just to find out they didn’t put it through. Had to wait a total of an hour for food. Sort your service out and you’ll be okay.

My 2nd visit and again the exact same problem as the first.. I put a post on under my other account 10 months ago and they reached out to then not reply.. it seems service here is absolutely shocking It 30 mins to get what is supposed to be fast food. Could of ordered 100x anywhere else and got it quicker Dont waste your time

Very clean restaurant and good staff

Come here for years and always been lovely. Came last night and every single one of us has ended up with food poisoning. Rang up to tell them we had food poisoning and they put the phone down.

Was my first visit and really enjoyed it. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious. Will definitely return. Service was good and the staff friendly. Parking is available to the front of the restaurant and indoor seating. Nice clean restaurant too.

Dirtiest food I have ever eaten, asked for a grilled chicken wrap on its own, the chicken was rubbery & pure grease, spent the evening throwing up & can still smell it on me the next day after bathing, brushing & flossing a total of 3 times🤢 never again

I’ve really enjoyed their food in the past but service wasn’t great. Said it opens at 11 but told me when I went in at 11 that they’ve just come in and it would take at least 20 minutes before taking an order and more time to prepare food. Made it sound like I’ve come there too early

The waiting time for the meal is at least half an hour for 2 burgers. There was no one inside. They deal with takeaway deliveries all the time, they don't think about the customer waiting inside for half an hour. The toilet has been closed for several years. The food isn't bad, but would I go back? I don't know

Took our son and his mates there for lunch today and the food and service were both fantastic. Much nicer than KFC and better value 👍 We’ll be back!

Slightly above average chicken shop fair value for money and good quick service

Think they was having an off day. The burgers were kinda just thrown together (bit of lettuce to one side hanging out and a dollop of sauce all down the other side and none on the chicken) the wings were very well done, or re cooked as the coating was that crunchy it could break teeth. And the toilets out of order. I had to ask for wet wipes so I could at least wipe my hands.

Very much tasteless food, no real atmosphere but much better than bfd. Expensive and quality of food not there, sadly. One positive is they take card payments. £45 not well spent. Took 40min to get Ur food after asking for it about 3 times. Workers don't have any idea what is customer service.

Very expensive for what you get.

The food here has gone downhill. Gone are the days where you could get a burger that was actually fresh and hot from here. Not to mention that the chicken burger patties are very thin and the prices are very high. Cant fault the customer service but can fault almost everything to do with the food.

Went in the other day food was nice and I was served in a timely manner, could do with a friendly face at the counter brown people think it’s a crime to smile, I would definitely request the establishment to keep the toilets clean and fresh maybe install a air vent fan because there is a very vile smell in there

Chickanos Huddersfield was once a nice & thriving place which was always serving some of the best food in Huddersfield and had a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. -Prices are ridiculous -Chicken fillets in the burgers are now wafer thin. -Chip portions are smaller. -Sauce pots are tiny. -They don’t have straws for drinks -The toilets aren’t open so if you’re kid needs the loo you are buggered. -The atmosphere within the restaurant is dead.

Hi. I’m sorry to say but the quality of food at chickanos has dropped considerably. I ordered a box meal which should have included the burger, fries, wings and coleslaw and a Mexicano burger on its own. Firstly there was no coleslaw with the box meal. Then the wings were so crunchy and hardly had any meat on them we just had fried batter really on bone and then to top it off the burgers were cold. It felt like they just got it out the fridge and slapping it all together and handed it to us. I could have done it myself at home and got a better result. The cheese wasn’t even melted! I love going to chickanos and I do often too but this has happened way too many times now and the standards have just dropped so much but they want us paying more. Not good at all. Then you try contacting them and their phones don’t work.

I really liked the place and the meals.

Used to be really good when they first opened in Huddersfield. However the quality of food has gone down hill and the prices do not justify the quality.

Awful customer service. Complained about not getting the right food. No apology or resolution so handed the food back to the till and they responded by saying its going in the bin. I won't be going back with this poor attitude and rude behaviour. Never got a refund and they acted as if they are doing me a favour by giving me the wrong order when in fact I'm the one paying them.

Best food in Huddersfield can’t go wrong 10/10 don’t disappoint

Myself and two friends found it very crafty that on the front desk, when placing the order, there was sign asking to provide ‘good feedback and show to staff, and get two free chicken wings’. Food and service standards have really slipped. Our food, chicken fillet meals, were cold, poorly presented, bun was stale, and the fillet only covered half of the bun. The texture of the fillet was rubbery. We wondered if this was because we arrived at 9:30pm, towards closing time. We were stopped from sitting on the bench of our choosing, because the floor was wet due to mopping/cleaning. We informed the member of staff about the food, he asked us if we wanted to speak to the supervisor, however after a prolonged wait despite being quite, the supervisor was behind the counter, but didn’t come over. On leaving the young man apologised. Do you think we would go back again?
