Great Veggie Find! What fab bowls and pittas. Fallafals for days, tasty fresh wide range with interesting drinks too and lovely people!

Amazing place to get vegan/vegetarian food. Some of the best falafels, pickled cabbage, and salads that I’ve had. Tasty chips too. Well priced and nice big portions. They have bottles of olive oil and sauces on the side for free to add to the salads which is a nice touch. Service was lovely and the place was cosy with good music. The chef even gave us the recipe for his herby mayonnaise;) Looking forward to coming back! Thank you for the lovely food

Just what we needed: a warm welcome and an excellent lunch. It was a chilly day in April and we were keen for an early lunch before spending the day exploring Oxford. We'd heard about Chick Pea via a friend so we decided to give it a go. We arrived around Midday, it was pleasingly busy at early lunch time, which is always a good sign. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, a really clear menu full of quality veggie options. We could see the staff working away in the open kitchen behind (always reassuring). The deli counter was abundant with salads, sides and interesting sauces. My Mum and I ordered a different salad each (I went large as I was rather peckish). Salads were assembled and items such as grilled halloumi and falafel are cooked fresh to order. So we grabbed a table and our food arrived as soon as it was ready. We clearly timed our visit well as we were able to get a table and we could see the place getting busier by the second. The staff were just delightful, they are so engaged with their business that their passion for food is clear in the quality and eagerness to give you a good meal (and maybe an extra falafel!). Condiments are on a counter with cutlery and drinking water, you can help yourself, and it's the kind of place where you can be a good citizen and clear your table yourself, great idea, increases table turnover and reduced staff burden, after all, we are adults! Portions were great, prices were spot on, and the quality was top notch. Great find, we will be back.

Fresh falafel, wholesome ingredients, tasted homely and great value for money. We came back again to eat with our daughter and I enjoyed the tagine bowl especially.

Lovely, inexpensive lunch. Friendly, polite staff. Nice atmosphere with students, tourists and families squashed in a fairly small premises (with a few tables outside too) enjoying wholesome, delicious food. I had a soup (pumpkin, carrot and celery) served with home made croutons, followed by a small mixed salad. Everything was freshly made.

Nice Lunch Experience We found this little Restaurant strolling by and had a very positive experience. Falafel pita was outstanding and pricing was worth the high quality.

Delicious healthy Middle Eastern food - stuffed pittas and bowls. Whatever you have comes with optional salads, garnishes and tasty sauces and dressings.

Absolutely recommend this super friendly eatery . Fresh ,flavoursome food - staff were lovely- the place was clean , colourful, tasteful - definitely worth a visit !

Had a late lunch Sat 30/9/23 - super vegan food, very fresh and wonderfully tasty. We had a salad, falafel pitta and a tagline, Pleasant service to boot.

I really, REALLY liked the lunch we had here. After reading reviews I ordered the tagine, and it was superb - so many different flavours going on, all very fresh. The coffee and banana/ chocolate cake after were also good. My daughter had the falafel pita and was also delighted with it. Great food, friendly service and great prices, what's not to like?
