Chic-o-Land in Cheshire West and Chester

I ordered from them and the order never arrived. I was waiting patiently by the door for 30 mins because I have autism and like to be prepared and diltch, nada, nothing. No phone call or front door lights turning on, no man or woman or person in sight. So I called up to have abuse from someone on the phone telling me to take it up with Uber even though there was no knock and no one arrived. I explained this for the man to get angry and blame me instead of blaming the lazy driver for not getting out of his car or actually making a phone call. They then proceed to say the order has been delivered. I am angry so I am writing this because I’m a peace and love kinda guy. To chic o land. I don’t like you anymore.

The last two times I’ve ordered from Chic-o-land i have clearly stated NO MAYONNAISE in the comment section. On both occasions my chicken burgers arrived smothered in mayonnaise. Unfortunately I will never use them again due to their failure to read get the order correct

Where to even start… this place is a mockery of the many fine establishments that serve fried goods (like a naughty onion baji) in the Chester and Cheshire West district. I personally went for an endeavour of the 5 piece wing box and I have three words for you, and I quote: “Grease, Grease, GREASE.” It is an absolute abomination of a culnary culture, especially when considering that there are such great and established restaurants nearby such as “Gates of India”. The chicken burgers will leave your behind feeling as raw as a visit to the Jim’ll Fix It set. Absolute joke. And don’t get me started on the tapeworm nightmares I personally experienced from this Land o’ Chics. Truly awful

Chips were plentiful with cheese, nice. Chicken kebab was very poor for the price, half a breast if that for £8. Not impressed 😕

It is often pondered by the greatest of philosophers and respected academics alike, what is the meaning of life? For some, meaning is love and acceptance through family and friends. For others, money and success are the determining factors in this answer. However, I offer a fresh perspective on this meaning, one that I think is a valuable to others. That is, chico land. Its juicy and tender chicken alone is enough to send any man into a complete state of euphoria. With every bite, a new experience of flavour and feelings are brought on. This explosive group of tastes are then accompanied by potatoe chips, which are cooked to perfection. Chico land, Chico land, I pray to you my eternal saviour. My deity. My, protector… Chicken could be less salty though.

Terrible ignorant rude service . Ordered through just eat items missing so rang them and awaited to be dropped off . Driver rang saying he had delivered calling me a liar. So I rang the takeaway back upset and they practically called me a liar to saying the driver said he delivered so tough wasn't getting.

That, handsdown, has to be the worst takeaway I’ve ever ordered. When I ordered it at 4.53, I was told about 40 minutes. The email then said it would be here at 6. I rang at 6:10 to ask where it was. The guy answered wasn’t really very helpful, he told me they were busy. At 6:33, one hour and 40 minutes after ordering it arrived at the doorstep. It was cold and inedible. Appalling delivery service, appalling food, do not order!

The chicken had black and green bits on it. We ordered 3 drumsticks from here, and they sent random pieces. It's very strange that a chicken shop is incapable of knowing what pieces are what. They were also supposed to send extra potato wedges, but sent them as a replacement for the fries, even though we paid extra. When we called them to advise that the order was incorrect, the man was very rude and unhelpful and advised that he is not willing to amend or refund the order. I don't review many places, but I love people and I didn't want anyone else to be put through the ordeal which was Chic-O-Land. If you love terrible service and food that tastes like it's been cooked in sweat, this is the place for you.

If your having Netflix and chill and your girl wants chicken nuggets make sure you get down to your local McDonald’s because Chic-o-land nuggets are the deadest. They are literally a chicken fillet from Iceland cut into several pieces that tastes like it was pre-cooked 4 days earlier and left out next to the fireplace in ghandi’s old flipflops, no messing. 10 for effort tho 🤢

Disgusting I ordered chicken. It was pale not cooked through. It had smell to it and the coating was soft undercooked salty flour. Lucky there is a bin outside the shop as it was the only place fit for such rotten food. Horrible sickly experience.

You would like to assume that a place called chic-o-land would major in cooking chicken right? Well sadly tonight I found this not to be true, absolutely unforgivable and I’m just glad I noticed before I ate any more, after waiting an hour for the delivery I found the chicken actually still bleeding (please see picture) avoid at all costs

I wouldn't usually do this however I downloaded this app for this reason, I was disappointed with the service and the food, I ordered a spicy chicken burger meal not only was it not spicy it was incredibly dry I also asked whether I could upgrade the drink to some extra chickin stating that I would offer more and my offer got declined within seconds I have been coming to this take away for several years and always been satisfied but tonight not so much, gone home hungry and to felt like £6 spent unwisely after a long days work not what I needed!

I ordered a takeaway from here and when it came the chips were good but the chicken was vile, dry and made me feel sick after eating it. I rang the manager to ask if I could get a refund for the product I did not eat, he said no and hung up the phone. I shall never be ordering from here again.

This place used to be one of our favourite takeaways . we have ordered from there for 20 years or more . however something just changed overnight , don't know if it changed hands but the food is now awful . dry and greasey . they don't even do the lovely chicken nuggets anymore ,just dry refried pieces of chicken chopped up. how can you even call them a nugget. we wanted to give them another chance just incase it was a one off but the same horrible food was delivered again. sadly we will never eat here again. used to have twice a week. shame.

We had a take-away from this restaurant. It would have been more expensive to eat in. The food was great.

You buy pieces of chicken and fries with gravy etc. You think, Kentucky or Chesters. This is nothing like, purely terrible, no flavour undercooked. Gravy was like Bisto. Look elsewhere we couldnt eat ours.

Great food Always have latenight food after drinks from here. Food great delivery time longer than expected. Cant fault the food 1st class just what was needed

Went in there to buy some food at 7:30pm and was greeted with rude service from several of the staff members there. Food was of a substandard quality even for a takeaway. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Excellent even nicer than KFC lots of choice and the wedges are yummy. My nephews insist we go here whenever we go to Chester its there favourite take out

Food cooked in advance making it very dry along with the bread buns . Staff very unfriendly not how it use to be there

Was ill last time we ate here and it's no wonder why. Look no further than the food standard agency rating for these guys. 1 out of 5. How on earth do you get 1 out of 5.

They do really good fried chicken- best in Chester by far. Also chips are great and ask for mayo with them.Worth trying out the spicy chicken burger do.

Food was well cooked, hot and exactly as expected. Service was polite and felt valued as a customer. Will definitely be returning.

Passing through stopped off at Chicoland Chester for a bite to eat. Chicken was stunning and the spicy wedges were to die for. Defo call back there on the way through.

If you live in Chester you almost certainly will of eaten at this takeaway.Excellent chicken (better than KFC) and chips with mayo are great.good value with meals under £5

After a night out, my girlfriend and myself wanted to grab something to eat before we went back to the hotel, we found this place as it looked to be the only place open with it being so late. I had a chicken strip meal, and my girlfriend had a chicken nugget meal, I woke up early morning throwing my guts up because of this chicken, the same with my partner. When I was eating it I knew there wasn't something quite right. I have been really sick all day because of this food and I can't stop going to the toilet to be sick. So advice to anyone who wants to go here after a night out and wants food from here, don't.

Have been getting the Chicken and Potato Wedges from Chic-o-Land for yearsIt is mouthwatering!You have to try the Potato Wedges - fantastic!

Disguisting tried to pass of a fress chicken burger as one that has been sat for hours. Server said it was over 180 degrees wasnt even warm to the touch. Gave me my money back. Really dangerous. Im a trained chef. Could make someone really unwell. Would never eat here again

chic o land is my favourite burger takeaway. I have never had a problem with the food. so delicious I could carry on eating them. Chicken burger is my fave. Better than KFC, which used to be my favourite.

Only wanted some chips but couldn't even have them, disgusting.My friends a vege and there was no other choice, ot even a bread roll.
