Great food at reasonable price; amazing atmosphere, good service.

Our first visit at CHI Northampton was disappointing. There is no telephone contact available at CHI so we booked online and placed a £25 deposit for our family of 5. It was Sunday 07/04/24 and the restaurant was virtually empty. Asian street food had been advertised but having traveled and lived in most of the regions represented CHI was disappointing. We only made a small order, the bill was £104-85p with 12.5% added automatically. The service was actually very good, thank you. BUT OUR £25 DEPOSIT WAS NOT CREDITED! I only noticed this later. No telephones at CHI and no response to the website email yet, so a credit card chargeback might be the only option?! It’s worrying when my family comments were that the best part of the visit were the chocolates that came with the bill! UPDATE I received a message via Google, I responded with details but have still heard nothing back yet. Chi could really do with a customer service telephone number, there’s nothing quite like a personal touch! FURTHER UPDATE It is now 23/04/24 and we have still not received the £25 online booking deposit refund. How can refunding a customer, that CHI have overcharged, be so difficult??

We visited Chi for the first time and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, we ordered a few dishes to share and each of them were equally delicious! The food came out really quickly and the service was 5 star! We had Chloe 2 (as there is more than one Chloe) and she was really attentive and so helpful! I would definitely come again!

Sweet Thai green chicken curry tasted like a jarred curry, veggies over done. beef ramen noodles over done. Not to my tasting. Service lady was lovely. However 12.5 percent service change is extortionate, and I was questioned when I asked them to remove it. Very awkward as it’s supposed to be optional.

After my frustrating experience at the previous place which shall not be named, I ventured to "Chi"—and what a delightful change it was! The ambience was enchanting, with warm lighting, stylish design, and impeccable service. Plus, they had Singha on tap, which added to the inviting atmosphere. I ordered a variety of dishes, including the beef Mac and cheese bombs, bang bang tempura prawns, and chicken gyozas. For my child, I opted for the kids' menu special featuring beef bao buns with sweet potato fries and tender stem broccoli. Despite the fantastic setting, the culinary experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The beef bombs were a bit too creamy for my taste, and the so-called "jumbo" prawns in the bang bang dish seemed more like miniature prawns buried under a mountain of batter. However, the chicken gyozas were a definite highlight and thoroughly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the bao buns for my child arrived in a pool of liquid, turning them into a soggy mess—a disappointing misstep in an otherwise lovely meal. Overall, Chi provided a much-needed respite from my earlier dining woes. The ambiance and service were top-notch, even if the food didn't hit every mark. Absolutely staggering food and excellent service!!! No Chop sticks and slightly too many chilli's in the Thai chicken fried rice though, otherwise it would have been 5 stars all round!! I'll never step foot in Wagamamas again, see you soon!!!

We love it here and will keep coming back. Had the katsu chicken, bang bang prawns, pad thai, pineapple rice, fried chicken bao bun and a bubble waffle. Highly recommend.

Had a Vietnamese iced coffee followed by an outstanding panko yasai bao bun with pineapple fried rice - the latter of which was very filling The service was excellent

The food was lovely, very tasty indeed more than happy to come back for the food. What made the experience better was the service we received, the staff member was really friendly and engaging. She alone transformed a lovely meal into a thoroughly enjoyable and delightful experience. A credit to the Northampton restaurant.

Had a lovely family birthday meal at Chi, lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff were welcoming, attentive and talked us through recommendations when it came to ordering. The food is made fresh and everything tasted delicious! Appreciate the staff for helping me arrange for a birthday cake to be brought out too! My only feedback would be that with no phone number, I found the restaurant a little difficult to get ahold of prior to us attending. Both myself and my sister had sent a message via the website but these were not answered. This didn’t impact negatively on our overall experience but think it’s worth the restaurant looking into! Visited the restaurant 4 adults and 1 toddler. The food arrived within 10 minutes and each dish was more delicious than the other! The staff was very helpful and understanding, as my toddler was running around. Chloe, the server was so nice to my little one; she even brought her a chocolate egg.

I visited Chi in Northampton for the first time tonight and I absolutely loved it. We had Chloe as our waitress and she was amazing. So friendly and attentive! Lovely atmosphere here and great food. Highly recommend!

Food was awesome, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was although the menu is a little confusing as is how much to order as many plates are smaller in size but priced accordingly.

Interior was lovely and staff friendly. They didn’t tell us food would come out when it was cooked irrelevant of whether it was starter or main. Some of the dishes were nice but others bland. Very small portions. Prices were high as well.glad we went but won’t be going back

No issue at all? But staff should inform people before order they are have service charge. We pay for service charge so we tipp staff, We didn't feel that the service was of a good standard because we had to ask for drinks and dessert which the waitresses forgot. tipp definitely didn't deserve something like that. One friend get dessert after all of us finish ours.

What a great place for Authentic Asian food. Spent the evening with a large group of friends everyone was amazed by selection and quality of the food there was so much choice, also our waitress Cloe was very pleasant and efficient , and explained some of the the dishes we had chosen especially with such a large crowd to cope with , nothing was to much trouble for her.
