Just spent £47 on ribs, Thai green curry, egg fried rice and chicken pad Thai …. The food was tasteless, struggle to understand How they make the food look soo good taste soo woeful. Not even lemongrass or ginger in the curry :( Avoid!

Mixed results from our meal here. The ramen bowl was fine but was quite heavy with red chilli. We love red chillies but the amount in this dish was quite out of balance. The Shanghai noodles were disappointing. The amount of shrimp was ok but there was more fat then pork — dragging down the overall food rating. I suffered awful aftertaste for hours post meal. You have been duly warned.

Can’t believe I’ve had to write another review. After ordering a vegetarian dish and being served duck MULTIPLE TIMES, I made a complaint to the staff who said they would look into this for me. 6 emails and 1 review later and I still have not received a response. Considering we spent more than £145 I would expect some actual customer service. This happened on the 12th of October and I am still waiting for a resolution. Avoid at all costs.

Me and my partner love coming to Chi’s, this is our fifth time coming the food is exceptional and we could not recommend it more. Our waitress tonight, Vainavi was wonderful. She was so attentive and friendly and helped us with whatever we needed, she’s doing exceptionally especially considering that she told us she was new! Thank you so much guys.

Saying food comes out when it's ready is one thing and when you are having small plates and everyone is sharing, that's fine but my wife had completely finished her noodles before my dish came. We wanted to eat out together not apart. First arrived and waited 15 mins in an empty restaurant to even get served, then another 10mins for a drink, which was a can to take out of the fridge. All that and the food was very average. Wish we'd have got a takeaway, ate together and saved half the cash.

Wonderful friendly service from Chloe1. Knowledgeable and suitable recommendations. Food beautifully cooked and presented. Have taken various members of family thereby sampling a variety of dishes. We look forward to another visit with friends.

We had a very disappointing visit. The food is mainly deep fried, so if you want something healthy to eat, this is not the place. We ordered the bang bang prawns, that were so over cooked we had to send them back. Same with the pork belly, the meat was so tough and dry. It's meant to fall off the bone.... We sent that back then left. Service was good, just really disappointed with the food. Place looks good, but the food did not match the aesthetic. We won't be visiting again.

First time visiting this place I was delighted with very the nice customer service and very delicious food, especially the dessert! I will mention Swaty for being nice and helpful

Staff and decor are very nice. Food let's it down slightly, portions are too small and wasn't as tasty as I was expecting.

Food is average-tasting. As an asian, the tastes aren’t at par. I understand that food in the UK are usually and normally bland but since they have served asian cuisine, they should have made it tasty and umami. Ramen alone doesn’t tastes like one. The blandness and the noodles used were like of a pho. At all, the service at ambience were great.

Most delicious meal I've eaten in a long time. Wanted to order more and more! Will definitely be back ASAP when i visit the area again. Bao buns have changed my life (I'm not joking).

We visited the restaurant as part of a group of 5 (including a child of toddler age) and ordered a range of 9 dishes and accompanying drinks, including 4 vegetarian dishes as I myself am a strict vegetarian and have been for over 14 years. Our waitress for the evening was extremely polite and friendly, but clearly very new to the role and extremely nervous and unsure within the company guidelines. The food was bought out very quickly and was presented beautifully. We quickly began tucking in to the food and after I, and two other members of the group, had consumed the vegetarian spring rolls, we realised they were in fact NOT vegetarian, but were the duck choice that was available on the menu. We called over the waitress to explain the issue and she said she did not know how to deal with this so spoke with the kitchen. She shortly came back and said that the kitchen had said that the chef couldn’t “prove” they were ALL duck ones as two had already been eaten - even though no duck ones were never ordered to our table as we only chose vegetarian options for sides. At this point we were not pleased to have been blamed rather than given an apology. The waitress then took away the dish and “replaced” it with a fresh batch of vegetarian spring rolls, to which we cut them open in front of the waitress and they were YET AGAIN containing duck. She looked very embarrassed and again took the dish away. At this point, I was left with nothing to eat as they now could not guarantee that none of the dishes we ordered contained meat. We were not offered a single apology or any compensation. Upon receiving the bill we were charged £145.30 for 3 people to eat as the toddler and myself as the vegetarian were unable to eat at your restaurant. I find it utterly disgusting both the lack or regard for dietary requirements and the horrendous customer service we received. We have both family and friends with nut and dairy allergies and I will be ensuring none of them ever consume any food in this establishment due to the total lack of care and respect on such a serious issue as this. It saddens me that clearly nothing has been learnt from the recent news articles of how serve and life threatening getting things of this nature wrong can be.

Home delivery awful tasteless. Soggy egg fried rice, burned taste and sweet and sour chicken awful burned. Nothing nice about it and Luke warm.

The food was delicious, the interior is gorgeous and the staff were quick to greet us, try to make conversation and ensure we were enjoying our food. We had great service from Chloe 2 and enjoyed ourselves!!

We ordered veg sushi (bad and sweet!), truffle zucchini (okayish), veg pad Thai (bad!!!!) and bang bang prawns (they were coated and fried). The food was below average. The serving staff was cheerful and sweet. The only saving grace.

During a recent dining experience at your establishment, I encountered a concerning situation involving the serving of raw chicken in a bao bun. Upon taking a bite of the bun, I unknowingly consumed a portion of the uncooked chicken. Naturally, I brought this matter to the attention of your staff and returned the dish. In response to my complaint, your staff initially offered to provide a replacement bao bun at no charge. However, considering the severity of the situation and the potential health risks associated with consuming raw chicken, I found this offer to be inadequate. I firmly declined to pay for the meal and requested a more substantial resolution. Subsequently, your staff proposed a 25% discount for the entire table, which I deemed insufficient. Given the gravity of the incident, I emphasized the need to document the issue by taking a photograph of the raw chicken. This evidence was crucial for reporting the matter to the appropriate food hygiene authorities. Regrettably, your staff refused my request to take a photograph, further escalating the situation. I reiterated the potential consequences of food poisoning and the likelihood of reporting your establishment to the relevant authorities. It is disheartening to encounter such an incident at a visually appealing establishment that holds promise for enjoyable social gatherings. The mishandling of this situation has unfortunately tarnished my perception of your establishment.

A party of 15 guests attended the restaurant. Food was flavourful, tasty and we had a varied menu which suited all ages. Everyone was pleased with the dishes and platters. Friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. Will be returning!

Great place for a quick snack or a full meal. Popped in for a quick bite pre cinema and the lovely staff made sure we got our food before it started. Very attentive staff and food excellent.

It was ok but the containers had spilt. We asked for the chicken katsu to have the curry sauce on the side & that didn’t happen. Some of the dishes were very overly spiced with lots of chilli. All in all it promised alot & was pricey but didn’t deliver. ☹️

We always have a great time here. The food is genuinely outstanding, and the service is always so quick and friendly. I happened to mention it was our anniversary and we were given free glasses of prosecco "to help us celebrate" which was so kind, and made our visit extra special. Couldn't recommend more!

Food was amazing! We visited this branch and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. Preferred this location to the Rushden lakes one and Chloe our server was amazing. She made sure we felt welcomed and made sure to keep checking up on us, when a dish was finished she came and collected the empty dish. Thank you Chloe for making our lunch! We really enjoyed the visit and will come back again!

I stopped for a quick drink and nibble before catching my train. I was the only customer in the restaurant. The hostess was super friendly and very polite. I ended up having a beer and edamame beans. They were a bit soggy but the chilli salt helped a lot. The beer was not my first choice and I did not like it. It was Chi beer. It is weak and too carbonated but it went down ok as it was a hot day. I do not recommend it if you are into IPA, craft beers and something with a bit more of complexity. However, as a one off, it was drinkable and the experience was overall good.

Booked last minute as not sure we’re to go for some food. A really good decision, atmosphere was good and loved the way it was decorated. Phoebe are waitress was really great made us really comfortable and she was very attentive. Gave us good advice on what to order as it was lovely.

On a visit to Northampton we ate at Chi restaurant 😋 We really enjoyed the food which was very tasty. The service was excellent as was the ambience. As we live near Manchester we were disappointed to find out they did not have a Chi restaurant there yet. I'm sure if they did it would be very popular.

We had a wonderful meal at Chi yesterday evening after a trip to London and are so pleased we ate there instead of one of the many offerings in the city. Chloe 2 our waitress was extremely attentive, informative and just generally very pleasant which meant that we felt very welcomed! The food was absolutely outstanding. We ordered four dishes between us which was plenty and every dish was full of flavour! We will definitely be back

Wonderful meal for all the family. We went for lunch at the beginning of the school holidays and had a delicious meal. I was able to order something for everyone in my family (12 and 10 year old with me) and every item was delicious. We had sushi, Korean chicken, bai bins, egg fried rice and more. My daughter insisted on giving the restaurant a 5 star review and it is worth it. The restaurant is beautiful and relaxing to sit in with plenty of space between the tables. The lady who served us was very nice and looked after us very well. Highly recommended

We were worried we'd come too early as it was very quiet, but it soon picked up in atmosphere. Great for parties, small bites and sharers. And they even gifted my mum a free mocktail for her birthday! Ladies (especially older ones) will love Chi, as it's an entrypoint into Pan-Asian if they haven't tried sushi/ Korean before (nice Chinese dishes too). The korean bbq tacos are my pick.

Really love this place! The food was delicious although possibly could do with a bit more choice. Service was brilliant. We were served by Chloe (number 2 as apparently there are a couple of Chloes 🙂). She checked on us regularly but still gave us plenty of space and didn’t rush us. We’ll definitely be coming back.

The environment was beautiful and inviting. The service was okay and the staff welcoming. The food presentation was good, however it tasted to me like the rice dishes I got were stale and I did not appreciate it.

My Son took me here for a Birthday treat. I loved the look of the place as soon as I went in. He ordered a few dishes for us to share, amazing food. Lots of different varieties, lots of lovely different tastes. I would recommend this place.

The food was great and the decor and ambience were nice. It's just a shame that they rushed us so much to order desert. I have worked in catering and you just don't ask people to choose from the desert menu while they are eating or bring the food before they have finnished dinner. If they hadn't done this I would give at least 4 if not 5 stars. It has put us off going again. It said it was open till 11 on the website and we woulld have been finnished before 11 without being rushed like this.

Great place for food! It’s a must try if you’re visiting Northampton or live here. I had the 24hr short rib beef, prawn coconut curry and the nasi goreng. Highly recommend this combo! I had great service from Palvi and the rest of the staff are great too!

It was a lovely experience with my wife and the food was brilliant

I’ve visited this restaurant twice in the past week and I’ve been mightily impressed both times we visited. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, very modern with green foliage, oriental ornaments and comfy seating, with Asian/Scandinavian influences. The restaurant is spacious with an open planned kitchen and free parking is included, as long as you remember to register your car registration. The food comes out whenever it’s ready, so if you’re expecting to eat together don’t be as you may have to wait a few minutes in between each dishes. But the food itself is amazing, it’s well seasoned, hot and fresh. Compared to Asian buffets where you get a wide range of food but the majority of it is frozen and then deep fried, this is a far stretch from them. It’s not the cheapest in terms of the price, I’d say for a decent sized two course meal with an alcohol drink it’d cost between £40-£50 per person. Service charge is added to the bill, which didn’t madden me as the service was rather good. Overall, a clean restaurant with attentive staff and a modern take on Asian food that’s done superbly.

Visited here with family (from age 18 to 78) and everyone was happy with the choices on the menu. Portion sizes were well matched to the prices of the dishes. The place has a lovely spacious and nicely decorated interior and was very clean. Service was quick and attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We’d definitely come again.

Visited yesterday for my son’s 8th birthday who LOVES sushi…the staff surprised us by bringing him out a sushi birthday plate …was a lovely gesture and well appreciated. Food and service throughout was brilliant. Thank you to the Chi Team for making my sons birthday meal a memorable one :)
