Chez Pascal in Bexley

Experience was great. It almost felt like being in France. Food was delicious and service excellent. We are planning to visit again.

One word. EXCELLENT. Can't fault it, the staff are very nice and chatty. The ambience is very good too, and the food is superb, loved it. A definate return is in the books. 10/10

Went for dinner Friday night for mine and my partners anniversary. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff were incredible, always making sure we were enjoying our evening, they were also very helpful letting us know prior to our booking in the morning that it would be cash only due to the IT issues many businesses were hit with over this weekend. We had a fantastic evening. The food far exceeded all our expectations, with reasonable prices given the big portion sizes you are served. We sat outside the front of the restaurant which was lovely, given the nice weather we had. I had buffalo mozzarella salad followed by seabass from the special board and my partner had crevette royale starter along with the fillet steak. It was delicious. Unfortunately, due to antisocial and rowdy behaviour from one particular table in the main side of the restaurant there that night also, we decided to cut our night short. But despite that, we will definitely be returning and cannot wait for our next visit.

Judging by other reviews and from our own experience, the owner likes to inflate the bill. We were a large party and already paying £45 per head plus 10% per cent service charge, but the owner tried to add a couple of hundred pounds extra to the bill. He had asked for cash and cited a problem with his card machine. We were aware of a national issue that day and so duly paid him in cash. This national issue was resolved days ago, yet he still has a sign outside asking for cash (HMRC take note).

Thank you for an amazing night celebrating my birthday. Food and service as always was incredible. We knew we would not be disappointed!!

It is one of our favourite places to eat in Sidcup. They are very friendly, and the food is good. The prices have gone up lately, but you can still bring your own wine.

This is the only place in that area that serves French cuisine. Therefore, we wanted to try authentic French food and decided to go there. There were three of us and we had only frog's legs (three portions) and two portions of escargot which were too dry to my taste. So, starters plus bread and butter, and a bottle of water from the menu. Therefore, we had to pay £61.93 including 10% service charge, but received a bill of £72.00. It is a nonsense to make such a mistake, especially if there were only a couple of tables. Dear customers try to check your bills before paying.

You won’t be disappointed, amazing place. Family atmosphere with great cuisine. Totally amazing staff, get the right level of service.

Excellent French food, fresh ingredients and good portion sizes. No alcohol but allowed to bring your own so be prepared.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal with friends on Friday 3rd March. King prawns to start followed by halibut in butter and caper sauce. Service was excellent and when extra sauce was requested this was supplied in abundance, well done Pascal and team!

Excellent quality of food, and a very impressive friendly service. I had frogs legs to start and fillet steak for main, both were delicious. For dessert i had chocolate moose which was exquisite.

Lovely atmosphere, french music attentive (but not ott) service, delicious food and felt Very well looked after as I’m a vegan and there was no fuss or bother just delicious vegan friendly food made specially ( I had vegan pasta and vegetables and the the sauce was awesome) Deffo recommend for vegans (as I’m a fussy hardcore vegan )

Ordered Vegetarian breakfast without egg. Most of other restaurants add Hash brown instead of egg but here there are no changes..if no egg still same cost though for less quantity..

Popped in for breakfast. Loved it here. Warm ambience and welcoming host . Food beautifully cooked for our breakfast. Evening menu looked appealing too so we plan to return for dinner soon. Really nice feel about the restaurant and great food at a reasonable price.

All I can say is bland ,small portions ,expensive considering you bring your own drink .Never again will we be visiting .

Disappointing food lacked flavour. Staff were ok and tried their best. The interior Place doesn’t look nice. Maybe caught them on a bad day but I don’t think I would recommend.

Three couples and we all loved it. I’ve always known this as Chez Pascal and is such as homely atmosphere. It’s a Bring Your Own Drink restaurant, which helps with the total bill. The food is always superb. My friend and I shared the Tomahawk Steak. Lucky we are both big eaters as there was so much meat, cooked perfectly and tasted superb. My wife equally enjoyed her Chicken dish. The service is friendly and efficient. I really can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Went to Pascal Bistro July 29 to celebrate my wife's Birthday and we had a great time.The staff are attenuative in this relaxed atmosphere .Well we all 5 of us ordered different starters and main courses so we could share a taster with each other , and every dish including the frogs legs ( that i swore id never try) Tasted delicious .Service was Spot on from start to finish and we always was made to feel that nothing was too much trouble.Even our young son was treated to a free ice cream and told that if he couldn't find something on the Menu he wanted , it would be no trouble to ask the Chef to Rustle up some chips.

Staff were friendly and attentive, food was excellent and quick to the table. Took our own wine which was great and easy. We weren't rushed out the door when finished. Kevan is an asset to the restaurant, will definitely go back.

Tried this restaurant as a change from eating Thai, Indian and Italian. Was it the right thing? French? Are you sure, she asked. You bet it was! It’s not all snails and frogs legs either. A superb menu, plenty of it too, with lots of vegetables, tasty french dishes, in a french themed area. Excellent service, very friendly staff and i felt pretty smug as my wife commended me on an excellent choice of restaurant. Yup! We will be coming again.....

M. Pascal surpassed himself today.The lobster and crayfish tail starter was superbly presented in that I didn’t have to fight to get the lobster open, but it was still presented in a half lobster shell. Generous amount and a good Mediterranean salad with it.The salmon and king prawn main dish was excellently cooked and the reason I ordered the dish, the bisque sauce was absolutely delightful.The dessert was just as surprisingly superb - a white chocolate and mousse done shaped affair with raspecry top and crunchy chocolate base.Just didn’t want to leave the place.Still surprised it seems to pride itself on not having an alcohol licence, which means you can bring your favourite wine and there’s no corkage charge. Yet M. Pascal is able to supply an honest critique of the wine you bring. I had an Albariño white; a Crozes Hermitages will have him purring.Portions generous and veg delightfully English and tasty.Just couldn’t be better.

As always a fantastic meal at Pascals tonight. We ate here with family and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Excellent service from Pascal, Kevin and Ellis who all made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

We had our first meal al fresco tonight and not disappointed. Food always great and friendly service. It was busy with a few walk ins as well as some regulars, so nice to see a local business thriving again. Massive portions still and five star throughout.

Love the food and the service. The staff are very friendly and the food is scrumptious. Don’t like sitting near toilet as so many people don’t bother to close the door when they leave. It needs a sign on the door to say ‘close when you leave’.

Just had a Sunday roast beef dinner from pascals for 4 people, because of the COVID-19 virus we got it as a takeaway, it came in a big tray all laid out with all the trimmings, my wife is a good cook & we always buy our beef from Waitrose because in our opinion we think it’s probably the best you can buy locally but I have to tell you that the beef we had from Pascals was something else everything was excellent including the lovely gravy, we will definitely be back for more in the near future, Thanks Pascal.

Had booked to be in restaurant for our annual Beaujolais Nouveau day but decided Covid won't stop play so ordered 7 meals for Takeaway and given chosen time to pick up, 1pm and all was ready as stated. All meals different and delivered to 7 households for a 'zoom' lunch and the New Beaujolais Nouveau tasting.The menu is large enough to offer a great choice so all participants were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and the fact that it kept hot !Great service offered and the usual friendly welcome on picking up.Thank you once again for a great meal

Enjoyed a lovely meal on a lockdown Wednesday. Wonderful service by Kevan the host, who was attentive and recommended some great dishes. The cod saffron flaked beautifully and the tarte au citron was perfect. Fresh rabbit was beautifully cooked. It is byo and this suited us well. Wish we had discovered this gem of a restaurant sooner. They also do take-away, which also interests us for future. Definitely worth a visit or two.

This is our restaurant of choice for all special occasions. The range of food choices is great and the portions very generous. Their continued choice of not having a drinks allowance has the obvious advantages of allow you to bring good quality options at “ off sales” prices. The staff have always been welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere even with Covid 19 restrictions is always informal and relaxing.

We recently went for breakfast which was excellent. The specials board looked so inspiring that we simply had to go back for dinner. We were not disappointed! The menu offers a range of authentic French and Italian dishes. We loved the escargots, fruit de mer, osso buco and delicious prawns. The rest of the menu is also tempting so already planning on going back. Service was efficient and very charming and friendly.

Food and service were excellent. Have been before and it never disappoints and will definitely return. The staff are very friendly and attentive and we always receive a warm welcome from Kevan. This was our first meal out since covid and we felt very safe as tables were suitably spaced apart for social distancing.

Eaten here for the first time since the CV19 lock down, social distancing measures in place, less tables and chairs, this less customers, sanitizer on enter. Staff not wearing masks like some other restaurants but didn’t present a problem. Great food again, Confit duck was gIn great, all main meal portions are on the large size so wouldn’t order a starter. Well worth visiting and supporting.

The atmosphere, food and friendliness of the staff make Chez Pascal a delight to return to, again and again. Highly recommend to go if you haven’t been. It’s quite a small place, which adds to its charm, but you would need to book in advance if possible. My personal favourite is the sea food pasta dish, but there’s a lot of great choices on the menu.

went there for the first time since lockdown,felt very safe,lots of distance between tables.Had calves liver which is new to the menue,was the best I have ever had,cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce.So glad it has reopened cant wait to visit again.

Our first visit to Chez Pascal post lockdown tonight and it was as lovely as ever. Menu has been slightly updated and the daily special board still going strong. Considering the ongoing circumstances the options were great and did not disappoint with my wife having buffalo mozzarella salad for starter and sea bass for main whilst I went for the white crab meat and avocado starter and veal chop from the specials board for main at Pascal’s recommendation, which was superb. Portions are massive and all ingredients are fresh and very well put together. Very friendly waiter along with Pascal who was on good form. We have been going here for years and can’t wait fir our next visit. It’s well worth the money and stays very reasonable price wise as still able to take own alcoholic drinks. Please give this local bistro a try.

Chez Pascal recently extended the takeaway menu that they are providing during the Covid-19 lockdown. Being a bit fed up with our own home cooking, we decided to order a takeaway from Chris Pascal. My wife and I each had a starter and main. The food was absolutely amazing. Food quality very good, portions were generous and prices were good. The addition of the baguettes and serviettes were a nice touch. When it came to cooking the next day, we took one look in our own fridge and having savoured the delights from the previous day, we quickly persuaded ourselves that we would have another takeaway from Chez Pascal. We chose different meals compared to the day before. Again, the food was excellent.Well done Pascal. We will be back again this week!

I was passing through sidcup to visit family when i came across chez pascals, i ordered a starter, main and a dessert which was amazing, along with a wide selection, i was pleased with everything along with the price of just £17.50. the portions were so big i had to share i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing or local to the sidcup area, i will definitely be ordering again

We had dinner last night at chez pascal as two couples, I’m at such a loss to how anyone has left anything other than 5 stars! We had such a warm welcome, it was busy with a buzzy atmosphere we were incredibly well looked after as was everyone else from what we saw! Our drinks were always topped up without being too attentive to the point you’re being rushed and every waiter was friendly fun and knowledgable about the menu. We followed the recommendations of the mussel starter and sausage both superb and the duck for main was perfect. Food quality was fantastic, generous portions which makes the dishes very well priced. We weren’t rushed and had a great time. We can’t wait to return and will be recommending to our friends, thanks all!

I booked this place after looking at the reviews and it seemed amazing. After having an expensive AVERAGE meal a few weeks ago I returned to TripAdviser to read some of the recent reviews. These now seem very questionable to say the least. Service was "OK", not the best and I wouldn't say the staff are friendly, again just average. Felt like I was bothering them everytime we wanted a drink as they were favouring their friends.The food was average, not much more I can say on that, wasn't worth the drive nor the money.

I booked this place after looking at the reviews on here and was not disappointed. It is exactly what is says i.e. a bistro serving good wholesome rustic food with good portion sizes.As soon as we entered the restaurant we were made very welcome. The staff were attentive and more than happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations if required. Infact if they made a recomendation they said they would change it if you did not like it. The place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and not rushed.It is a BYO drinks which for me is a bonus as you get the wines you want at shop prices.Well done and thank you Chez pascal I will be back.

Turn up to find they have given our table to other people. Despite having called us to confirm earlier in the day. End up on a small table and there were 4 of us.Very good at going through the menu to deal with my coeliac disease. But actually were rubbish. Just omitted things rather than cater. If they had been honest i would have ordered other items. Dreadfully arrogant attitude from them which annoyed me and i will never eat there again. And the food was not up to scratch either. Avoid.Awful.

Went with my wife for breakfast. We are both vegetarian and she had scrambled eggs on toast and I had the vegetarian breakfast. The food was okay and about all I can say really. The surroundings are nice and the service was good.

We have been there twice in the past 2 weeks and we were not dissapointed. The staff were wonderful, the food delicious and the portions huge. They were fantastic with my son and entertained him throughout. We will be back again.

I just can't fault it. From the moment we arrived staff made us feel welcome and looked after. Absolutely amazing food - chicken breast with mushrooms and cream sauce for me and pasta with chicken goujons and vegetables for my husband, large portions. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere! This is now our favourite restaurant in Sidcup, so we will definitely be back!

We hadn’t been for a while and after our recent visit we wondered why we’d left it so long. We went on a Tuesday night before Christmas. Do book if you want a table as even on a Tuesday it was busy and had about three birthday gatherings. We brought our our wine as it is not licences. The portions are always good and we shared the French Sausages for starters. They have a board with various specials but we both opted for a pasta dish and they were excellent. We won’t be leaving it so long before our next visit.

This is like stepping into a local restaurant in the monmartre district of Paris. Checkered table clothes, chalk specials boards and a real desserts cabinet. It has a relaxing environment and very welcoming and attentive patron and staff.

First time at this fabulous restaurant. Lunch was divine! Mussels and Sea bass and Lemon Pie !

We had a great evening here with our friends. Lovely food, service and atmosphere. We liked the French Bistro aspect, and agreed that this is not the sort of restaurant much found in England and it reminded us of France. We liked taking our own drinks, which were served very efficiently the moment we asked for them. We will be back!

We have been to Chez Pascal many times. On each occasion, we have had a great meal. We even hired the complete restaurant to have my wife's father's 70th B'day party there. I would recommend this to everyone of all ages.
