Chettinad Restaurant in Camden

Encontramos este restaurante en una zona concurrida muy fácilmente El servicio era bueno. La comida era fresca y agradable. El restaurante estaba muy limpio, lo recomendaríamos.

Comí aquí por primera vez en 2012 y fue tan bueno, que estuvimos hablando de ello durante los últimos 12 años cuando regresamos este agosto. Chettinand hace buena comida, desde el pan hasta el arroz y los platos principales. El servicio es excelente también, amable, dispuesto a ofrecer recomendaciones, y responder a cualquier pregunta, especialmente sobre el nivel de especias en cualquier plato, si usted está preocupado por eso. Me gustaría comer aquí de nuevo y recomiendo a todo el mundo.

La comida era muy buena. Me gustó especialmente el queso paneer salteado y la masa dosa. Las madras de cordero estaban muy picantes incluso pedimos la suave. El personal era agradable y muy servicial.

Nos dieron algunos de los platos más auténticos Todos artículos extremadamente bien hechos. Las especias estaban tan bien equilibradas sin asar la lengua o el paladar Sambar era celestial con palillos de tambor gratis y la mayoría de los currys tenían hojas de curry frescas - una señal de atención al detalle fino Plato vegetariano con Bonda mini masala dosa etc es delicioso El curry Brinjal se derretía en la boca Los parathas eran suaves y delicados No hay culpa de encontrar £ 50 por persona para la comida completa de tres platos en Ala carry es razonable por parte de Londres Un poco ocupado incluso entre semana - se quedó sin Avial en 2000! Aparte de eso no hay queja. Volveré de nuevo cuando en Londres el próximo Recomiendo encarecidamente y la reserva debe evitar la decepción

Vinieron a almorzar y no fueron decepcionados. Tuvimos entrantes vadai y mini dosa con salsa de sambar y coco. Seguido de pollo al curry y madras de cordero con especias suaves y un arroz pulau. Fue amplio para 2 personas hambrientas. Preciosa lima fresca para refrescar la bebida y agua para la mesa. Servicio discreto y atento, cargo añadido a factura. Vendría aquí de nuevo.

Popped in by chance in a Friday evening and despite being very busy, the friendly staff found us a table. The service was impeccable - water served at the get go is always a good sign - and they were sure to check our tolerance for spice. The food was served efficiently, looking beautiful in the plate - and it tasted delicious. Reasonably priced for this part of town too. Would go again and I’ll be sure to book ahead!

Très bon restaurant spécialisé dans la cuisine du sud de l'Inde. Les plats changent de ce que l'on trouve habituellement dans les restaurants indiens. Service nickel et rapide. Les plats sont très épicés mais délicats, et surtout délicieux.

Supergood food. Spicy to the limit. Nice and informal. We had the prawns for starters and the spicy chicken as main course. mpressive all in all.

A meal at the Chettinad never disappoints. As always, the food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The service was both friendly and efficient.

Starters were amazing. But the mains were not so much. We ordered squid curry, Prawn curry, seafood curry....and they all tasted the same

Visited with a friend. Had a fish starter and lamb starter, lamb curry and chicken curry, aubergines and some bread which was done in a very unusual way. Presentation and taste was outstanding throughout. It was so busy (8pm) there was not a single free table. We were lucky as a walk in so id suggest reserving.

We were excited about their menu, focusing on Southern Indian regional cuisine, and did not disappoint. Although it was Sunday, thought it best to make reservations, and that turned out to be a good move. It was full with an eclectic group of diners; some 20-30 years, and several Indian families. We enjoyed mini dosas and a curry dish that had some heat. That went well with the Indian beers, Kingfisher and Cobra. Our server, Jijo, was attentive and made himself available. Great location; just off Tottenham Court Rd by the British Museum. Will be back on our next visit.

It was 8 of us and we ordered lots of starters, mains, sides and drinks and the tastes were varied. Some dishes were good and some were too similar to tell if it's chicken or lamb.

Staying nearby and stumbled across this place. Really pleased I did great food, great location and looked after really well. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

I was at the restaurant on 24th September evening. The staff were great but food mediocre at best . The rava dosa was poorly done and the masala had potatoes that were not cooked fully and really very little “masala” , bar the potatoes. Not a good advert for South Indian food at all . Amazing. Best dosa restaurant I’ve had outside of the USA. Ordered a masala dosa which came in the perfect condition. Delicately crispy on the outside served with two chutneys on the side. Clean and relaxed setting.

We had a lovely family get together in London with really authentic and tasty curries, both lamb and chicken were great. We had Thali and finished with Halwa, one of my favourite Indian desserts and it was really delicious. As a former judge for Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine I can say this was a highly rated dining experience. My only criticism was the instant espresso that was served which one does not expect after such a lovely meal… it was taken off the final bill, but honestly if you have a proper coffee machine please only serve proper espresso. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

Really impressed by the food. So authentic. The aubergine dish especially is truly amazing. What let's the place down though is the waiters whose communication skills need brushing up - each exchange took 3 attempts to get things understood.

Quick bite of lunch here when meeting with friends. The dosa was good and the service was prompt. As an affordable and central location it was a nice spot to grab a quick bite with friends.

This place rips off people with astronomical prices for their food . The quantity is like a what you feed the birds . This is not AUTHENTIC South Indian food at all . This place is day light looting. Please avoid this place at all costs . Take the London Underground and go to East Ham (20 mins) on the tube , and you will have the best authentic and very affordable south indian food . This place is a disgrace and is cheating people by serving £2 worth food for £30 !!!! This place should shut down soon , looting people in broad daylight.

It was raining when we went, but we have a warm welcome. Nice food, good service, fast deliver of meal and a very nice manager.

Fantastic, delicious food. Everything we ate was delicious. Attentive and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Top tip for Hot Heads, ask the waiter to add some chilli. They much oblige. Onion and chilli salad, whilst simple sounding, was a revelation.

Love South Indian food and this did not let me down. The food was perfectly spiced and truly South Indian with coconut milk, curry leaves, black pepper etc. Only slight down side was a large party arrived and the already seated guests were slightly forgotten.
