Chesters Chicken - Whalley Range in Manchester

It was 12 pm. On a Saturday! And the chicken looked ( pale) then up close it hit me. Ohhh no! Just paid 4.50 for Water Injected chicken. Not even properly cooked. Had the chips. Binned the rest!! Rude little man behind counter provided also! Avoid less you are brainless!

Sometimes too busy but I guess that's a good thing for stock rotation. Staff are always polite and their phone ordering is very good as they remember what you ordered in your last order. Would defo recommend.

Defo will order again,looks to be amazing food for night craving

Ordered chicken wings fro here and clearly wasn’t what I got, I’m not sure what rodent I received but they looked like baby rats or mice cooked!

Ordered chicken wings had eaten one the notices that they didn’t look like chicken wing but look familiar to either baby rats or mice with no tails or feet! Although I’m not 100% sure until the meat has been tested but to the eye this is what they looked like. Definitely doesn’t look like a chicken wing. The meat was pinky so I’m guessing they were under cooked too. I’m feeling very sick.

This place is operating as CHKN as a multi brand on deliveroo. They are con artists. There are supposedly "call recordings" when you speak to them. I'll be getting a copy of these recordings (I have them myself aswell) and advising solicitors.

Rubbish customer service, wrong order delivered and admitted by the kitchen staff for a replacement and than later refuse to give replacement. I wouldn't recommend. Don't order it from Chester ever again.

Staff need to know what customer services is! When I mentioned on a previous occasion I was told my order was ready in 30 mins collect but it wasn't...... and I said I had to wait nearly an hour in my car with 3 children, the staff member had no shame whatsoever and said "don't you have heaters in your car?" !!??

Ordered from Uber took so long to come then when it finally arrived my chicken steak was missing along with wedges all they sent was peri rice so I had no dinner. Need to check orders carefully

Honestly horrendous hygiene asked staff to wear gloves while making my burger refused to do.Then stated that me asking them to do so was stupid.Asked for my money back this bald serving guy refused to give me a receipt for my transaction so I could make sure the money comes back.honestly a shambles of a place.

I tried this Chester Chicken for the first time. I ordered Chicken Stips so he gave me deep fried Chicken Stips and believe me those chicken Stips were like you are eating chicken nuggets. I have eaten one of the foods that did not taste good and three I have just thrown in the bin.

Poor quality food and slow service on Uber eats and cold grassy food overpriced they should have drivers available to deliver on Uber Eats it’s a shocking place. I don’t know why I ordered from here because I was hungry and there’s nothing open. Bought crunchy munch box and not gonna lie the crisp was there in wings, chicken strips and in the burger patty but wings were soo smelly and pink from inside and the the chicken strips burger was tasteless and when I went pack to Chesters, they literally denied and kept telling me I’m wrong

Ordered a piece of chicken and chips with 5 pieces of peri peri wings. The friend chicken was soggy not crispy and was not edible. The peri peri wings tasted nice but needed more colour in them and the chips were spot on. Long wait also and overall very disappointing!!

Honestly downhill, greasy slapped together food. Prices are up and quality is down. Bought a full chicken grill platter it was burnt and stale! Chips were refried full of oil won’t be back again!

After my order, I asked if they had an cardboard boxes. Well, you could have thought I asked for free food. The 'owner' tried to charge me £2.50 for a box they are throwing out. Then proceeded to tell me how 'females' are and that I have no idea how a business is run. You have just lost a customer Chester. That is definitely how you run a business and definitely not how you treat customers!

Always love Chesters but on this particular day not so much. I went in for a mountain burger and because it was close to closing time I was given anything. Burger was amazing, very tasty but boy was it spicy.

Their chicken parmesan is excellent, and I don't think anyone else even serves one. Nice huge piece of chicken with good cheese on it. Recommended.

Went Chester chicken Whaley range 2day 19 /122 paid 5-50 for chicken strip meal food was horrible the chips were soggy dry and taste like soap then chicken looks white raw instead had one 2 mouthfuls and taste disgusting so spat it out horrible they don’t wear mask or gloves in shop The staff rude don’t wash hands seen a guy picking the food when out for people

One star is for the nice chicken wings and the other is for the chips. That’s about all that was right with ordering at Chester’s on withington road. The pizza tastes like one you get from the supermarkets, the burgers not so great either. But the worst of all is the customer service coming from the guy serving at the till. Oh my god his arrogance and lack of communication is appalling. He would barely answer you. He moves like you have all the time on your hand. He didn’t even pack the right things I had to repeat myself twice to get the order right. He just can’t be bothered, this isn’t the way to serve your customers, it’s off putting.

This place used be bad before the food was not that Good quality and there was always in a rush and on Deliveroo but now it has improved I really like it I like this place and have Order food off the Chorlton Branch in the area the food is nice thank you so much I’m enjoying it I always buy food off yeah if I buy off Deliveroo Put the waiting time is shocking sometime it takes half an hour the food to get delivered on delivery otherwise it’s okay

The chicken is average taste, portion sizes are very small,the chicken burger for example, seems like a kids burger. Some of the staff have an attitude problem & no customer service skills.

I mean, it's fast food so keep that in mind but for what it is and how much they charge, it's really good. Only downside is that they don't take card so that's why they don't get more than 4 stars. Edit; They do take card now and no minimum charge afaik so changed the review to 5 stars. Don't know why, but their food had been much better too as of recently. Before their chicken was.. fine. A bit dry, but still fried chicken. Now it's so good, the chicken isn't dry anymore and it's made the food much better.

The place on my way back to home from work. I regularly eat there. It’s not very expensive and serves the purpose. I usually eat peri peri grilled wings and chicken and it tastes amazing.

The food is affordable. I usually have peri peri chicken it taste amazing.

I have just ordered and received the pizza..totally nasty. I have asked half seafood and omnivore.. The seafood tasted weird and awful, I understand could not come with anchovies but why came with onions and corn.. Cold and horrid taste.

Really cheap and nice. I got a 14 inch pizza and chips and mayo for just a tenner!! Also they don't have cheesy chips on the menu but I asked for cheese in my notes and said I'd had a bad day and they gave me cheese and 3 extra sauces and also asked if I was ok when they arrived :') thanks Chester's

Remember This..im not paid for these reviews and im not related to anyone at any of these places i review.. Chesters on Withington rd whalley range..is one of my regular weekend Destinations. Normally i can just drive down, place an order wait a shortwhilie then pay for the order and off wee go. However that changed recently. Orders have to be phoned in then can be collected from the shop following a reminder call from Chesters to do so. Staff are friendly enough and the food seems tasty and fair in price...
