This isn't so bad. Way better than before. Spicy chicken noodles are good and cooked fresh. You can watch it being cooked.Cash only though, come on it's 2024.

Don’t understand some of these reviews, fantastic Chinese, one of the best I’ve been ordered from, chicken chow mien and veg spring rolls are especially great!

Ordered a take away and was told to collect in 20 minutes. Arrived to collect the food 20 minutes later. Stood for 15 minutes while 2 other people came in, ordered food and left. After waiting for 15 minutes I asked when my order would be ready. They seemed unable to locate the order and seemed to be in complete disarray. I told them not to bother and that I would go elsewhere, which I did and picked up my order within 10 minutes of ordering it. This place is a complete shambles.

My girlfriend has just brought a flat in the area so thought we would try them out as it’s the only local Chinese. Sunday night after working all day on the flat we grabbed some egg fried rice, satay chicken, duck spring rolls and some peanut sauce. We waited a grand total of 7 minutes for our order which I thought was quick. Staff was friendly enough but myself and my girlfriend has had the worst gut since. Rice was the worst egg fried rice I’ve had, the chicken was tough and more gristle than meat. Couldn’t find any food hygiene rating on them. I won’t be going back. Nothing like my local Chinese in Sittingbourne!!

Outstanding vegetarian dishes. The spicy bean curd (a fried squishy tofu) dish that you can normally only get in London, is excellent! When it says spicy it is. Quality of vegetables is good and they’re boiled to death. They’re fresh, crunchy and delicious! Good quality and fast and polite service. Just wish they had a card machine.

I tried this take away as it appears to have some good reviews, never believe what you read, first of all I did not get what I ordered, but secondly both my and my wife's food was awful, tasteless , probably the worst Chinese meal we have had in year's, won't be going back!!

Great food and superb value. Food was tasty, fresh and plentiful. The crispy duck was the best I’ve had in years.

Thank goodness Marden has a Chinese Take Away now! I've eaten Chinese for most of my adult life and miss having a local Take Away. The food was good, hot and convenient. Good counter service with a person who was good to talk to. We will be trying different dishes each time we go. I am already looking forward to going again. Once customers realise it is cash only it is not a major problem. They will be registered for credit cards soon. (I cannot believe the 'moaning minnies' who groan about it being a problem).

After reading some positive reviews I thought I’d drive over from Staplehurst to try the Chinese takeaway at Marden. Apart from slight hassle of having to get cash out first, I called first to order but had to wait in an empty shop for five minutes until someone appeared to collect the food. It was disappointing, it all smelled unappetising and didn’t taste particularly good. But they had decent sized portions and it was not expensive. Sadly I had morning after repercussions but didn’t feel ill. Won’t bother again.

So glad Marden has a good Chinese takeaway! We have waited year’s. The food is always ready within 10-15 mins, and tastes good. We have tried a few dishes over the time it has been open and they are all really nice. The pancake rolls are delicious, one of our fav’s. Also the Hong Kong style king prawn and crispy duck.

Been in the area for 19 years and was glad to hear that this Chinese had changed hands, tried it this evening 12th Dec and can honestly say its very good indeed, better than any others in the area. The takeaway used to be terrible, we tried it 19 years ago and never went back but the new owners have really taken it up a level, how busy you are speaks volumes and there is no reason you won't succeed, well done Cherry Tree will see you again soon.

Recently taken over this takeaway had a few teething problems but the food is lovely. The pancake rolls are delicious. The only fault is, they only accept cash. Living in a village with no cash point can make this problematic. However we have used them many times and the food is always good.

This is our third meal from Cherry Tree. Freshly cooked and delicious food. It’s really tasty and as good a Chinese takeaway as I’ve had elsewhere. Favourite dishes so far are the special chow mein and traditional Chinese vegetables. We’ve also had really nice sweet & sour prawn balls, crispy duck and char sui. A real asset to the village.

First order here after returning from holiday abroad. Never again. Order wrong. Food tepid at best and when rang to tell the woman on the phone my problems she put the phone down. Rude!! Don’t bother. There’s lots better

I have to say, the food (the little we had of it) was very nice, however the portion size was absolutly ridiculous, less than half a tray of each main meal, apart from the rice. It is very expensive for the portions that you get. I have been her a few times to give it the benefit of the doubt, to see if it was a one off but each time they are getting smaller and more expensive. I will not go again. It is a shame as the food is genuinely nice. I often eat chinese but have never paid so much for so little. Very disappointing.

Went for an evening meal after a long time without being able to go to a restaurant. Pleased to report we weren't disappointed. We were seated promptly at a table for two and were immediately asked if we would like a drink. The server was very attentive as it wasnt the busiest evening, even though it was a Saturday. The menu itself is very extensive, with set meals as well as a la carte. We opted for a la carte. Our starters were Wonton soup(9/10), Butterfly King Prawns(9/10), salt & pepper squid(10/10) and salt & pepper ribs(7/10). This is due to a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the ribs. After this our mains arrived, 2 portions of egg fried rice(one is enough for two people), beef in oyster sauce(7/10), again unfortunately a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the beef but the sauce was delicious and the beef very tender. Also had the XO Squid + Prawns which were amazing(10/10). All in all a very good meal and hope the management will look into my comments on the ribs and beef. My ratings are only deducted for the food not being quite as good as it could have been. Definitely be back.
