Came here with my daughter and it was lovely! The service here was spot on and food came out quickly, the atmosphere was incredible and everyone was super friendly. We loved the food and my daughter, who's normally a very picky eater, loved it! And of course, she loved the dessert too.

Visited on mother's day, despite being extremely busy Lorna was great and managed to fit myself and family in as a table of 4. The food was delivered so quick, was fresh. Hot and tasty, the service from all team members was great. Definitely recommend and will be going back!

Felt clean, the food was nice and hot, everyone member of staff was friendly to us, in particular Reece who brought our food and kept checking on us to make sure everything was alright. The play area is brilliant for the kids, kept them well entertained which was great! The only very small issue I had was the head on my pint of beer was huge and when it sunk down it wasn't a full pint. But in the grand scheme of things I didn't really mind if im honest. Just happy to have been fed and watered and on our way. We will come back again!

stopped in for a meal while staying at hotel near by and must say what a lovely family style pub this is. £5 meal offer at the minute is great value as portions are still generous. Tasty fish and chips, good pint and ace service from the 2 blonde girls. Very friendly and can have a good laugh too. Much better than other hungry horse pubs I’ve visited on my travels, very pleasantly surprised and impressed

I just wanted to take the time and say how much of a credit Kayla is to the team at flag! After visiting a few months back and having a poor experience we thought we would try the place out again, and what a great choice that was! She was most welcoming, smiley and nothing was too much trouble! From the minute we entered to the minute we left we felt welcomed! Will be back again for sure! :)

Very welcoming staff and a decent atmosphere within a clean chain pub saw a good start to our visit.The big plate all day breakfast was mostly delightful, with optional black pudding and the requested well-cooked bacon. 5 stars missed via the meal being served on a cold plate and containing overcooked eggs alongside average quality sausages.That said it's good value for money, had continuing good service, and "does what it says on the tin"Well worth a visit as there are myriad meal options at attractive prices.

Eighteen of us invaded the pub this morning on an arranged visit to have breakfast for the first time, and the staff coped admirally. The food was hot and well cooked! The staff were welcoming and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I'm sure the club will be back again

A group of 18 of us had our breakfast here for the first time. We all ordered together so I think it was a bit overwhelming for the staff. They were very patient and they did a great job for a noisy bunch. Good breakfast and great service, we'll be back again

Very well priced food with fair portion sizes. Although the quality was only mediocre. The calories on the menu were a sight to behold - I have never seen so many calorific dishes in one place! The staff were nice - the lady behind the bar was very polite.

Waited an hour for my meal , which was a mystery as the place was not that busy , my dinner did not look appetising, parts of it was under cooked ...Bought drinks at the bar , 4 glasses was dirty had lipstick on the outside , got the drinks replaced , the barman didn't even apologise . Another diner also had dirty glasses with lipstick on the outside , does nobody wash the outside of glasses in that place ?

Good food with a matching atmosphere, we now visit weekly for a meal. We also use the app to order and pay which we find very easy. Would definitely recommend

Returned here for the quiz night while again working nearby.Still a superb Tuesday night out but worth mentioning that the service is much smoother than compared to last time (was perfectly fine last time, was exceptional this time) and comparatively less frantic.Food seemed better too. Again nothing wrong last time but somehow just better still.I suspect recruitment has occurred since last time and they continue to advertise for staff so hoping they keep on getting quality people to maintain high standards.Really nice pub that I'm warming to a great deal.

Visited with my boyfriend and received great service from busy staff, despite being understaffed and under pressure they still kept a happy face and ensured the best for your experience. The food was lovely and came out in reasonable time, would definitely suggest a visit here very suitable for breakfast/lunch/dinner - even a few drinks if you’re not looking to eat. So disappointed tonight! We waited over an hour for our food tonight! Being understaffed is just what happens, I understand that! I can accept that!The disappointing part of the evening was that the manager did not come to our table to apologise for the wait or in actual fact inform us that there was a problem with staffing so the food might be late! Not once were we approached! We shall never return here or recommend this horrendous place, oh I forgot to mention how terrible the food was and how unappealing and dated/smelly/dirty restaurant is! Do not go here! There are far better places to go!

Me and my boyfriend went in here around half 7 last night there where two girls on doing an amazing job we were sat on table 38 I believe and could see the girl at the bar, she was doing a great job but was sometimes seen on her phone, but still served everyone. I ordered the chicken kebab which was amazing! Lots of different flavours in there, I wanted to make sure one of the girls from last night knows she was so professional! I’m not sure of her name but some lady was shouting in her face not sure what about, the girl just stood there smiling and nodding! No raising of her voice and when the woman left, the waitress just politely said goodbye even though she had just been shouted at! Very professional! There was a little wait with our deserts but we didn’t mind as we could see they were busy both girls from last night did a fab job and the chef was amazing with the food thank you so much chequered flag we will be returning :)

Booked into hotel opposite by work. Came in for a drink before we realised it was a hungry horse chain pub, bored yawning staff, outside heaters broken, had one drink and left, got a taxi to a local pub rather than eat here.

Absolutely awful staff are rude food tastes like it’s been microwaved will not be going again do not recommend

Four of us are staying at a nearby hotel and decided to take a wander to the pubs close by.Wetherspoons was the usual dirge but the Chequered Flag was excellent. Posters are up saying that food may be delayed or in short supply due to the well publicised HGV driver shortages and hospitality staff shortages but we didn't have any delay and everything we ordered was in stock (3 different starters, 4 different main courses and 2 desserts).From out of nowhere a very lively quiz host appeared and convinced us to play in his "impossible to cheat" quiz night. We had never done a live quiz on our phones before but we are absolutely converted! Much better for preventing cheats and a brilliant modern twist on the traditional pub quiz. Also played some game where we could win £269 but didn't win so meh.Very reasonably priced chain pub with cracking entertainment for what would have otherwise been a drab Tuesday night.

Visited for a family meal out. Food was all spot on and brilliant value for money. Molly and the team were friendly throughout and a credit to Greene King. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

We visited on Thursday, al found good experience food came out fairly fast even though we were told there would be a wait, the size of the coca-colas were HUGE!! the staff were lovely and upon speaking to them we were informed they are short staffed due to head office cutting hours. I really feel for them, they were rushing round like lunatics but still made us feel like no problem was too small and had smiles on their faces - good work to the staff :)

Booked a table and entered the pub and nobody to seat us? Wandered around and reserved signs on tables so went to the bar with one bar staff and waited to speak to her and hot told or table number, no table service so had to queue up for 10 mins to order food and drink, still only one poor girl serving!!! Me and my dad finished our pint and I went up and now 2 behind the bar but people ordering food and a bloke in front of me so waited a long time again, it was a madhouse with kids running around and nobody knew where to sit!!! It took over an hour for our food that was only luke warm, my 4 pieces of NY chicken only had 2 bits of bacon on them, chips were nearly cold and a letdown, my wife's egg was like a kids rubber egg and not very warm, they needed food server's and more bar staff, they were run ofvthere feet, won't be eating there again, bad!!

My grandparents came to the first Tinsel and Turkey sitting yesterday, the food was great, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. They throughly enjoyed the day out.

Was greeted and attended to by Molly who was amazing on all levels. The team are great but Molly stood out in every way. Great girl and a massive asset for the future.Food was cool and service by the team solid all the way through my meal.Cannot speak highly enough of Molly she made everything great in terms of service.Catch this girl and take her higher!!!!Overall I love the experience as I keep coming back.

Well where to start, no staff to be found if you have a query, 40 minutes wait for desert then 1 was missing. Very very disappointed.

Not a nice experience.The staff there are pretty oblivious to what is going on around them, and heaven forbid you if you actually want a drink or something to eat whilst they finish chatting about there night out.There is a Wetherspoon across the road which makes this place look really shabby. It’s normally “spoons” that attract the dregs for a town, but in corby, the pond life seem to be attracted to the Chequered Flag

Went here with my family for dinner. Most of the food was either under cooked or over cooked. The chicken part of my meal was still pink, raw and minging. Informed the waitress who informed me that the chicken came in precooked and did I want her to put it on the grill for me. By that point I was put off so told her no thanks. Daughter had mac n cheese and it had the thickest layer of hard cheese that I had ever seen. Obviously from the microwave. My oldest had an all day breakfast and that wasn't much better. Puddings arrived over microwaved and had some hard edges as a result. Won't be going back there, my microwave cooks better than theirs does and you pay for the experience. Had an upset stomach as a result for 24 hours.

the pub from the outside looks beautiful and inviting, inside the place is clean and presentable.we ordered our meals and drinks via the app, very easy to use.the drinks came quickly, great.our starters likewise, my partners was delicious he said, Peri Peri Chicken wings, mine though not so much, Cauliflower bites were burnt to a very hard crisp!, although once through the outer coating quite tasty.we waited quite a while for our mains, so we ordered another drink, again via the app, which came in a reasonable time, I then told the girl that we were still waiting for our mains, which came straight after she had left?My fish chips and mushy peas was fine, perfectly edible, apart from the chunk of burnt batter obviously from a previous item being fried, once I cut that off it was a decent meal. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for my partners Classic Chicken New Yorker, Firstly it came with just literally a handful of skinny fries, so I gave him some off my plate, then the actual chicken dish itself, was a major let-down, no taste, rubbery un appetizing, so much so that he left it. This combined with the rather surly staff, made for a very disappointing visit.

This is a decent pub and has plenty going for it.We visited earlier today and were quickly seated.We ordered chicken kebab and mine was a steak on a bed of peppers.My wife received an extremely hot chilli in her kebab which caused her some distress so please beware when ordering this dish.My food was relatively okay but I did not enjoy the addition of baked beans.On the whole not bad but could be better.Visited 12th Nov 2021.

Went for a Friday evening meal here. To start the tables were not clean. I then went to the bar for my drinks and to order my food. I didn't use the green King app to order as there is a not saying not to use it as they are short staffed and this slows down service... I should have turned and left when I read this. I ordered our food and drinks went to pay we had a voucher for part payment towards the cost but neither servers knew how to process this a a que was building up I just paid in full with my card. I sat down and soon our grande nacho sharing plate turned up looked good and plentyful..... But cold we both picked at it.. Then the wait for our main course a steak for me(I always have a steak wherever I go). My wife ordered a. Chicken burger. After half an hour of waiting we said to a disinterested waitress that we were waiting for our main course.. She said she would see how long and get straight back to us... 15 mins later she went passed us and we avian asked how long our food would be 15 mins later she brought out our food my wife's burger looked as though it had been dropped on the floor. My steak looked OK... But I had no steak knife I asked the waitress for one... 8 mins later she brought me one.. Good job she did as its the toughest most unedible steak I've had in my life. We left most of our food and left very disgruntled. Later that night both me and my wife were sick and both later had diororha. Possibly down to the cpld nachos with the sour creme... Don't eat here not good for your wallet or stomach. If you look at My reviews most are reasonable reviews this is by far my worst ever review avoid like the plaque

Visited Saturday for some lunch, was told there would be a wait on food, could clearly see they were understaffed but we still received amazing service and the food was great. Staff still had a smile on their faces despite working under pressure well done :)

Stopped off for lunch and it was very quiet so were hoping for a nice quick lunch, ordered 2 chicken one on a baguette and one on a wrap supposed to be served hot, arrived 30 minutes later with a burnt baguette and a lukewarm chicken wrap Won't be hurrying back

Lovely restaurant, although it took a long time to order. Food was ok. Play area was good for older children. Maybe a little something for younger children. Saw a young child fall off the climbing area because they were not being watched properly (I know it’s not the restaurants fault) but something for smaller children would be beneficial.

We was passing by so decided to try this Hungry Horse. We wasn't impressed. Compared to Hobson's Choice in Kettering it's like a completely different pub brand. Firstly the table we sat on was sticky and filthy, even though it had been cleared some time before. We then ordered our food. When it arrived both meals were burnt. The kebab was full of chilli's unlike when we've had it elsewhere, and so much spring onion in it gave instant heartburn. The chips were pretty inedible as the amount of seasoning put on them was ridiculous. Staff were pretty rude, not in full uniform and seemed to keep loitering by the bar messing about.

Booked an table online, when we arrived no staff there to check you, the que for service was out the door. Lots of drinks/food not on menu or bar/kitchien "unsure" how to make. Bar staff openly moaning about other staff in front of customers.

Visited yesterday for some lunch, upon arrival noticed how clean the outside areas were most places have fag butts lying around outdoors. Was served by Nicole and Lorna who were both lovely and very attentive, myself and family took full advantage of the freebie Thursday offer and it was amazing. Food was great, good prices and amazing service. Highly recommend

We took our Granchildren here as we knew it catered for children.The food was so good, the children had a build your own pasta, cheese and chicken and a pudding. They really enjoyed itWe had two meals for £8.49. Delicious.The staff were very polite and helpful and we felt welcomed and safe. The pub was spotless. People were wearing their masks to walk through and go to the bar which we did as well.We will be going back soon as it's by far the best place for kids in Corby if you want a variety of food in a child friendly environment.

We attended the CF today with three generations of our family and I have to say all the staff were brilliant extra helpful and very courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, very good quality and generous servings too. All at a very fair price too. Can’t praise them all enough.

We came to chequered flag on Saturday just gone (wasn’t busy) we got asked if we wanted table service or to order through the app I said table service, the lady said she would give us 10-15 mins and come over, well this never happened after 20-25 mins I decided to order through the app. The reason why I don’t like ordering through apps is because I like starters to come out with the mains and I’m quite fussy so I always personalise well there is no option for this on the app. I had to go to the bar and tell them about my order, when the lady seen me she realised she had forgotten about me. She didn’t apologise. My food came out after 35 mins now I ordered the mix it up which should come out sizzling but it didn’t?? But the guy near me did? We ordered the same which I wasn’t impressed. The onions and peppers aren’t fresh or even cooked they are horrible. Garlic bread got left as you couldn’t eat it. I haven’t been to chequered flag in over 2-3 years because of my last experience here so I’m disappointed I tried it again and it was the same!

we were served by a young lady called lorna, she was very attentive and helpful. food was great and piping hot and she always had a smile on her face. i think hospitality workers have had a bad time over the last year with covid but they are doing a fantastic job and deserve the recognition. i will defo be back with my family. thank you again to lorna and all the team

Not the best hungry horse we've ever been to. Ordered two Sunday faves chicken fillet lunches and two deserts. Not allowed to order at the bar because table service only but had to go to the bar to pay before the order was placed!! No Abbott ale available - in a Green King pub?? Settled for IPA in the end. Food wasn't very warm, no cranberry sauce available, no stuffing available, roast potatoes very mushy, cauliflower not cooked at all. Asked for ice cream instead of custard on one desert, came with custard. Asked for it to be changed and it came back with the chocolate sauce very burnt, it was not edible. Asked for it to be changed for a triffle because they can't spoil that.All in all not a pleasant experience and not at all typical of this chain. Won't be visiting again

After a gay at nursery and a surprise visit from Grandma we went for an ice cream treat. It was sunny afternoon so we went into the garden. We ordered the candy mania to share. We all enjoyed our treat and will visit again

The process of track and trace within this place is spot on, the table we were sat at was cleaned very well without any sticky residue on the tables. The order service using their app was very good and easy to navigate along with the staff checking up on us constantly throughout our stay for the proceeding of our meal. Highly recommend coming this this establishment certainly will be going back and taking more people with us! overall the pricing of everything was great for value.

What a nice place. Firstly the bar looks amazing with all the flags and the football stuff on the walls and ceiling. Secondly the cheap food was great too. What mad e this place, thirdly, was the staff there. Shine on you crazy cats 😅

Ordered the new York chicken, scampi side, large fish and chips and 2 apple pies. Firstly the scampi was missing from the order.Secondly the apple pie looked like it had been thrown in from a distance. Both of them.Thirdly the chicken wasn't fully cooked. I am always skeptical about chicken when I buy it cooked but this was a clear pink in the middle and I had 4 of these breasts in the meal as it was a large meal.For £25 plus delivery I wasn't happy. Then had to contact just eat for a refund which also wasn't helpful. First and last time ordering and would not recommend

Ordered food at 720 with table service had a side come out was waiting over an hour in total for main. had to ask where food was Got told won’t be long now. I wouldn’t mind but place was pretty empty and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else food was not great has worse. Such a shame you to use this place all time but has slowly declined over the years. To sum up cheap pub food pub service and would come back as last resort for place to eat

Always good service when we have bumped into Tom in various Hungry horse.pubs he has covered. Today at the chequered Flag corby the food was lovely.We are perfectly aware its not high end food but for a chain pub today was the best meal we have had.Tom has got it sorted when on duty and the staff are on point.Tom Always delivers.Thanks for the experience.

Went there Saturday to watch the football and even with certain restrictions it was still great and even had an atmosphere as well which I haven’t seen for a year., definitely will be back here to watch the euros. Also the young lad at the bar was quick and good with our drinks.

We stopped with my father in Corby, and tried to have dinner at the weatherspoons next door. Unfortunately they were full, and weren't letting anyone in as the wait time was 40 minutes. So we went next door to the hungry horse. We were seated at the only table that wasnt cleaned, and was sticky, so I cleaned it myself. When the bottle of wine arrived the glasses were filthy, and still had lipstick on the rims, not very covid safe at all! They then cleaned them & they were still terrible, so again I tried to clean them as best as I could. We then realised they had sent the wrong wine after we had opened it. Thankfully they changed it. When our sharing platter arrived, half if it was hot & half cold, and the chips were terrible. My father's gammon arrived much later, and he said it was abysmal. We should have left and gone elsewhere after the filthy table & wine glasses incidents. Really folks, do not bother!

Took the kids for a meal before they went back to school. We tried to use the app as asked but it didn’t seem to work properly and we also noticed we couldn’t change any items on the meal if we wanted to ie mushy peas from normal peas. I ordered a coffee and I received it In a dirty cup I couldn’t believe it. The server I did feel sorry for him he was back and forth for us but when doing this he was very happy to help us. He did have a mask on but I felt like he was smiling at our table. I didn’t recall his name he was the food runner on the shift 3rd sept we arrived around 4pm red hair I think he deserves a pint he was very good.
