Chennai Indian cuisine in Staffordshire Moorlands

This was a fantastic meal. Very comprehensive menu. The guys were very pleasant and especially Ash who helped recommend one of the lamb dishes. Well done guys. If your looking for a curry this is must.

Fantastic food, attentive staff and the whole dining experience was incredible. Could not recommended enough. We had the butter chicken and the Chicken tikka Bhuna Massala both were to die for.

We were staying in Leek near to this restaurant. Lovely surroundings and friendly attentive staff. Ash was our main waiter he was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful meal from start to finish we couldn't fault any of it. Feel we had good value for money and would definitely visit again when in Leek.

We went to the restaurant on the recommendation of our excellent B&B hosts (Green Man Leek). We don't often eat at Indian restaurants but this was a revelation. The food was absolutely delicious; the choice was wide; the prices very reasonable and the staff very courteous and attentive. If we lived more locally we would definitely be going again.

I’ve dined here a few times now and it never disappoints. A table for 6 was presented to us on a Friday evening, no trouble. Ash & the team are always on hand to deliver the best service. It was a warm evening, but we can’t expect establishments in Leek to have air con for the 2 days of the year that we actually experience some warm weather. I can’t wait to go back again soon. Prices are very reasonable too.

Staff are brilliant, shorif made us feel welcome from when we came in first. Food was 10/10, would 100% recommend. Quick service too for the quality of food which was unbelievably nice.

This is my 3rd visit to this Indian but unfortunately tonight I really was disappointed with the food , my rogan josh was literally swimming in oil , it tasted greasy and nothing like a rogan josh, I've tried 3 different curries now and all the curries are very under spiced , the rogan josh tonight was tasteless, the portions are a little on the smaller than average size and the naan bread is very small. I'll go back to our old favourite Indian the Naz

Me and my partner always come to Chennai it’s our go to place in Leek! The food is always wonderful, I always try my best to try different dishes whenever we go and all of the ones I have tried were delicious! The staff are so lovely and we are always taken care of. Me and my partner would like to like thank Ash in particular who is our usual server everytime we go for the wonderful service he provides.

Food was absolutely lovely, full of flavour and so fresh - great presentation too. Staff couldn't have been better, quick service without being rushed and all of them were friendly and professional. This was our first time visiting but it definitely won't be the last, I'd recommend it to anyone!

Service was good from the moment the door was opened. Pleasant and polite staff. Food was amazing and the menu is slightly different to normal Indian restaurants. Took my other half as he'd never been and he was thrilled with the whole experience.

Fabulous experience as always from this most decadent Indian cuisine. Honestly the nicest Indian town, you really do get what you pay for when it comes to the food, and also the service is 10/10. Ash particularly took extra care of our needs whilst dining here.

Me and my family (9 party table) celebrated a 50th Birthday at Chennai last weekend. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the night with good time left between being served starters and main courses. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food with the overall experience making the birthday celebration very special! Thank you to all staff and look forward to going back soon

Third time I've been in as many months. Absolutely outstanding. The third time the guys recognised us and sat us at our preferred table which was great. Service, cannot fault it at all. Great menu, we've tried different dishes each time. Cocktails were great and the tao Cobra is fresh and fizzy. I'd say it's very reasonably priced, with alcohol our bill was just under £100 the last time and that was 4 drinks, 3 mains and 2 desserts. We will carry on going probably once a month. The first and second time we went it was packed (Friday and Saturday) the bar guys served us drinks whilst we waited to be sat, not an issue at all. The vibe is immaculate. Real Indian restaurant. First visit to the Chennai yesterday evening. Wow … so impressed!! Food amazing, comfortable surroundings with a really nice feel to it. The service was friendly, professional and attentive. I very rarely leave reviews but we all agreed last night that we should on this occasion.

I have previously left a review on Google as we sat in the restaurant. We had a takeaway this time and it did not disappoint. Shoriff and ash do a brilliant job there so friendly and so are all the staff the food is absolutely amazing.

We were a bit nervous about going out for a curry, as I am both vegan and gluten intolerant and we struggle to find restaurants that can cater for me. However, the manager Ash put us at ease and talked us through the whole menu. It turns out I had lots of choice and all the dishes we had was delicious. We took a takeaway menu home with us for the future too. Thanks to all the staff for being so attentive and welcoming, we will definitely dine with yourselves again!
