Really really nice food and not too expensive 5/5

Food was really bad. Don't waste your money.

Had two takeaway meals when visiting the area. The first was average (house special chow mein & special szechuan) & the second meal was tasteless & bland. The crispy shredded chicken in garlic chilli sauce was a soggy lump, had no chilli & despite being hungry we couldn't finish it. The spare rib sauce also had no flavour. I wouldn't recommend this takeaway.

Brilliant food had the set meal for 2 plus some prawn crackers Nice chicken noodle soup, chicken curry ,chicken balls, and rice absolutely lovely food

We just had two meals from Chen Wok and they were excellent. Quality food value for money, keep doing whatyou are doing. First class.

Worse Chinese Takeaway I have had. Chichen Chow Mein was greasy soft noodles with a few pieces of grizzly beef. Never again. It went straight in the bin. Waste of good money...

First time using this takeaway and I am very impressed 3 different dishes bought and each one was cooked perfectly,very tasty and were still hot by the time we had driven back home (which is a fair bit from Moffat)

Grabbed a Friday night takeaway whilst passing through Moffat to humour the kids who didnt want chip shop . Whilst it wasnt the absolute worst scottish chinese ive ever had ( that would really be something ) & i certainly didnt expect great things, it was pish poor. Bland watery 'satay' , noodles with unpleasant re-heated taste & soggy texture , and not cheap. Cash only of course. Is it the only gaff in town so they can merrily coast along chugging out this sub-mediocre grub and watch the till ring? The young lad serving was pleasant enough. i should have insisted on the fish n chip shop! Enjoyed looking at the old junk in the curio shop windows nearby whilst waiting.

Curry sauce looks my diarrhoea but is pretty class

20min wait got order wrong waited another 30 min for correct order got it home all of it was cold. Don't eat the prawns... 🤢. Was my local. Will never go back.

Slipped up with the orders a couple of times. (Just a grammar and phone thing really!) Need some magazines or a telly to watch whilst waiting for orders. Other than that, the staff are courtious and friendly . 👍🏻🙏❤️😋

Food was superb, could not fault it.

Food is fantastic and if you go there on a quieter night you can order, nip to the cash point on the high street, pop in the corner shop for some juice and by the time you walk back in it’s almost ready - really good portion sizes and the munchie box is always good.

Other than the lovely young person at the front,there's absolutely nothing good about the takeaway. Food was like it'd been cooked ,left, then re cooked. And the prices? Shocking. They don't deserve to be supported by locals. And if you're a visitor or in the camping area, do yourself a BBQ!

Lovely cooked meals will be back again.

Very good Cantonese style sweet and sour with egg fried rice. Was ready on time and piping hot. Absolutely delicious and very good customer service . Will definitely be stopping by more. Thank you!

This place is takeaway only and I would recommend ordering before you go. Even though it's quick service, you might have to wait if you order at the restaurant. We liked the vegetarian chow mein and the fried rice but the kung po was overly sweet instead of being spicy.

Wanted a takeaway whilst staying in Moffat, we saw that the locals were calling into Chen Wok to place orders, ordered the Chicken Chow Mein, it was very good, I will try the Sweet and Sour Chicken next time.

Not good,glad I'm on holiday don't need to go back,we had crispy chillie beef,it was soggy and tasteless,2 different main course dishes but both were same tasteless and mainly rice,the rice was a mean cheap grain.verry disappointed 😞

When you order you get your meal when they say you will very good

Ordered the crispy chilli beef. It was the blandest offering we have ever had. Nothing crispy nor chilli in sight, truly appalling offering that I would be ashamed to cook !

Take aways are a rare treat especially in hard times the only one to gain from this was the bin. Vegetable satay, should have been called onion satay. 3 pieces of green pepper 2 mushrooms and onions onions and more onions. Satay was indescribable the only hint at peanut /satay was what tasted like a dollop of the cheapest peanut butter. I usually write glowing reviews but this was so bad it needed telling.

Service was super efficient on the phone & when collecting. Starters were good mains were ok - just a bit tasteless. Rice was overcooked. To be fair I was on holiday so at home I only visit what I know are the best Chinese takeaways in my town so I suppose I'm comparing this to the best which isn't fair - so I've upped my rating to 4.

If you like onion casserole this place is for you

Not the best I've had, bit of a ordering mistake, though I had it sort. Order arrived, missing a rice?. No it was in my main dish, it was really dry and rice tased burnt. Due to ordering errors purchased a new fried rice. Again this was over cooked and very burnt taste. Maybe would help if ordering was checked and confirmed before payment, to avoid mistakes. Not happy about writing this review. Most of the food ended up in bin. Considering no-one was served while in shop I would expect it to be better. This today has been the most expensive meal ever I have paid for similar dishes. Not saying it overpriced, but I would expect better quality of food.

In normal years I usually spend 6 months in Asia, and I enjoy Asian cuisine immensely. So when I found Chen Wok in Moffat I just had to give it a try. Ordered Singapore Chow Mein, which was quickly prepared. I eagerly opened my container to find noodles, green peppers, some green chilli slices a couple of small prawns and very little meat. The meal was very dry and lacked any flavour. I was very disappointed. Hopefully I will find other chinese take aways as I continue to travel north.

Lovely Chinese takeaway that we would recommend. Large portions and plenty of choice. Was on holiday for a week and used it twice says it all. Recommend it and will return again.

Great food, one of the best I've had away from my home town. Decent price too. Would order again! :)

Not a very pleasant experience. Food was dark coloured and greasy. No sign of any healthy green colours. Didn't eat much of the meal. Cash only accepted at the premises which was a pain as the nearest cash machine in the high street was broken. Sorry, won't be returning.

One of the nicest Chinese takeaways I have bought from. I had the sweet and sour chicken with chips. The sauce in the sweet and sour was absolutely delicious, the vegetables were crunchy and the chicken was cooked so it was tender and succulent. The chips were gorgeous, very crispy on the outside with a golden colouration to them and light and fluffy in the middle. A must visit for fans of Chinese food!

Great food great service salt and chilli chicken is my favourite but the curry is excellent also.

One of the best Chinese takeaway I've had, salt and chilli chicken, beef in black bean sauce both delicious, so fresh tasting. Will be calling back soon
