Chegworth Farm Shop in Kensington and Chelsea

Staff had no face masks nor were they telling customers to wear them Complete disregard of Government safty rules. AVOID..local supermarkets protect their staff and customers, Chegworths do not

Haven't been to the cafe, just the shop, which I visited last night. It has a very small selection of extremely expensive food and drink. They didn't have what I needed so I left and was then chased up the street and accused of stealing. When the extremely rude member of staff realised he was wrong, he didn't apologise for his huge mistake and rude behaviour (in front of lots of people) but instead shouted "Just doing my job!". Chegworth - please ensure your staff know how to treat people. The man who accosted me was rude, aggressive and awful at his job. He needs retraining. Will never visit again. Have never written a review of a shop (let alone a bad review) but felt other people need to be warned about this man.

I live locally and bought a bunch of hyacinths from Chegworth earlier today - as a Valentine's gift for my friend whom I was meeting for tea. Later on, she happened to go into Chegworth to look for a grocery item and when leaving was accosted by a male member of staff and accused of stealing the bunch of hyacinths I had bought her. She explained the situation but the man was having none of it and she had to offer to call me to confirm that I had bought the flowers earlier in the day. He was rude on the phone and only once satisfied that I was telling the truth, allowed my friend to go on her way - with no apology. This was also all played out in front of a bus stop full of people on Ken Church St and left my friend understandably mortified. The man was really overtly aggressive and I would say seriously don't shop here unless you want your day ruined. Bizarre behavior and just unacceptable.

We stopped here for coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and the washroom. It seems that this could become so much more. The young girls who work there are very nice and helpful. The bar and coffee service on the 2nd floor landing are excellent. The hot chocolates were the best we've ever had, made with real chocolate (not powder). Unfortunately, the upstairs lounge to drink and eat was largely empty, plain and neglected. The washroom was filthy. I could see this becoming more successful if they polished the 3rd floor lounge, focused on coffee and deemphasized the grocery.

Four of us had excellent full bodied coffee and sumptuous cakes. Bacon rolls took a while but worth the wait. Will definitely return!

Theres a lovely authentic vibe here in a nice environment. clean space and lovely assistants who are willing to help with anything.

First visit between Christmas and the New Year - drinks luke warm likewise the service the staff need to smile and try a bit harder. Shame because the ambiance promised much more

By the title of this review it docent seem like it should be a 3 star but a 5 star, the coffee shop aspect and staff was amazing and deserve a 5/5 but sadly the 'meeting' going on at the front of the shop in plain view of 3 separate couples of coffee drinkers was a firing of a staff member, it was not very discrete at all, the team sat at the front of the shop around a computer and summoned the poor girl to join them, on joining them they had a conversation a not very quiet one explaining that its tough times and sadly she is being let go, this poor young staff member started crying and it made me feel very awkward and upset for her, this job is clearly her only job and to be told your being let go with no prior warning and in front of paying customers must have been horrendous, I've been to this coffee shop several times and every-time it has been a 5/5 service even in busy times, it was just today sadly the atmosphere was ruined by this 'meeting' taking place.

Went into this farm shop instead of going with a big brand name as it is local. Wish I hadn’t. We only ordered a coffee and coke to take away and we were shunted to the rear of the baristas order queue and had to wait 20 mins despite being only able to stand at the till to wait and asked several times to get out of the way. Even when I asked if there was any chance of getting the takeaway coffee sooner so I could move I was abruptly told ‘no you’re in the queue it will be done’. I agree with the other review, to successful, too quickly, staff wondering around like wooden dolls with little customer service aptitude. Overall good looking food and drinks but everyone was waiting and the prices were certainly high. I doubt the owners were on site, perhaps they should be to get people to truly want to support local business over big brands.

Our first visit to this excellent Farm & Coffee Shop but it will not be our last. The establishment is fairly new to Tenterden but the quality, quantity & general ambience is just right. Food looks great & tastes delicious, served by staff who are very friendly & helpful. Good value for money and certainly worth a visit.
