Large family birthday meal. Very good value. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Friendly and quick service. Highly recommend!

The best Indian takeaway in St albans. Food arrives HOT always. Shows they care. The food is fantastic and my daughter (not liking curries that much) orders a cheeseburger, and even the cheese burgers are great (like sloppy joes). Can't fault them. Would highly recommend. Tony K, jersey farm.

Had to come down to the store multiple times as they would get the order wrong hand me a different food order try to tell me that I am wrong on top of that I'm left to leave with my correct order but no compensation for a inconvenience of my time

Try the King Prawn Curry with Special Tri-Colour Pilau Rice. Delicious Quality Indian Cuisine with Best King Prawn Curry in Hertfordshire. Fantastic Food with Excellent Hygiene and Immaculate Service. I would Highly Recommend the Good Takeaway Service. Best Indian Cuisine in Town.

Ordered on line. I clicked the time slot for 19.30. Wife just called me, "it's 18.00" to tell me it's arrived. No idea what it tastes like as I'm still in the Pub.

Got to add a review for Chef Express - got a Xmas card through the door never having used them and decided to order for 3 of us last night. Wow was delicious. Not oily - my lamb rogan josh had cherry tomatoes in not just slushy sauce. Lots of food and very good.!

I always collect as very local to my parents. Excellent food, fantastic quality and flavour, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Fantastic value for food and always tastes fresh, good service time for delivery, our favourite Indian although we don’t live in the area.

DISGUSTED, my daughter and i went to get chips after a bad day at school , we walk in and there is bugs and dirt everywhere! After 30 minutes of waiting for our chips we were given re-fried chips. Not only that but i found a piece of chicken in my chips , im a vegetarian!!

We ordered a takeaway from here for the first time, mainly because they're open earlier than others on a Saturday night, but also because we'd read a lot of good reviews. Wanting something mild we ordered two vegetable kormas, one chicken korma, poppadums, onion bahjis and pilau rice. The order arrived hot with an extra poppadum, salad and mint salad sauce on the house. It was all very tasty and we will definitely order from here again. Incidentally, it has a five star hygiene rating.

Lamb byriani was well above average. Most enjoyable. I would be happy if this was my only take away nearby, but it isn't and there are better around here. But, this is well up there in the 'well above average' range. The food was decently spiced. I only ordered their more expensive Gourmet range. On the basis of that I would not buy their cheaper range.

As per title...these guys have it all. We order-in from Harpenden and they are always on-time, food is plentiful and hot. Spicy saag paneer is great, naans always soft. Top notch.

Ordered to takeaway a few weeks back and was shocked when I went to pick up my order. The place is in the middle of refurbishment with exposed walls, ceilings and power tools laying around. It’s dusty and impossible to keep clean. They should not still be cooking in these conditions. My takeaway tasted funny and I threw it away because I didn’t trust them. Most people are ordering for delivery and will not be aware.

Arrived at Premier Inn nearby and looked up places for takeaway. This came up and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and as a Glaswegian who likes a decent curry I can honestly say I would recommend this place. Reasonable delivery time and decent portion. Will use this place again when I travel down here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disappointing flavour. Too much sugar in the ghee, perhaps? Not all Indian takeaways are the same...

We regularly order from Chef Express and always not disappointed - be it Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Dilruba or other items we tried. Very delicious cooking and better value in comparison to other indian restaurants for the price.

Another great meal. Discovered this via Uber Eats, will be using this curry house going forward. Great value, arrives on time and really tasty.

I had salmon curry and asked for special fried rice everything thrown in. Well they threw everything in and it was like having 2 meals. FANTASTIC FANTASTIC.

This was possibly the best Indian take away meal that we have ever had. Not just spicy, but aromatic and full flavoured. A must if you like really high quality Indian food.

We order there chicken tikka wraps for lunches at least once a week, the food tastes great, comes served hot still and it great value for money. The service is friendly, we would highly recommend Chef Express to anyone

Speechless as always, Chef Express have yet again blown me away! Cooking fabulously delicious food, always delivered perfectly on time. The Tandoori Specialities are indeed superb, and a personal favourite of mine would be the sauces - made freshly by the chefs themselves. Offering a range of unique recipes on an exciting menu, and providing just the right balance between flavour and spice, it’s definitely a first choice for me when ordering food! Truly satisfied with their service! Will definitely order very soon and would totally recommend them to others!

Never Delivered my food even though calling them for over a hour. Unreliable. Called them and said they will return my money after a 45 minute call and nothing ever turned up. Basically they never showed. Disgusting customer service. The food in the passed Is bad in any way and not impressed. Sums this restaurant up very easily. Go somewhere else if I was you. Lies and bad food is a not for me. Hate to write this but 2 times is enough. Just awful!! No respect of care for anyone. Again bad food bad service. Don't waste your money

Ordered a collection specifying a little traditional dish and my wife absolutely loved it thank you.

Nice food terrible service. Five of us ordered online, it said 40 minutes with free desserts! 1.30 hours later we still had no diner! Would not take any money off the order plus arrived with no desserts. If you do use them, do it through deliveroo, money back if not delivered on time.

Just tried for the first time & I don't normally write reviews but had to as I just had the best dansk I have ever had either from a takeaway or in a restaurant & my husband & daughter had a cheeseburger & chickenburger respectively which were lovely & the cheeseburger wasn't greasy at all & chargrilled I would highly recommend this for a takeaway

Randomly tried this place never having heard of it & meat was delicious, one of the best tandoori & chicken tikka’s I’ve had!

Good local Indian, they deliver locally too, they offer burgers etc to so if the kids don't fancy a curry you can get them a burger and have yourself a curry

Authentic Indian food with a great taste. Their tikka dishes are excellent we especially enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Biriyani and Tandoori King Prawn Masala. Order arrived within 45 minutes as promised. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleased with my order. Highly recommended!!
