No. I lament the replacement of traditional sandwich shops by the prevailing army of Pret stores, but the sandwiches here are dry and uninspiring and the woman serving clearly is far too stressed to be customer facing.

It was a happy accident to find this place, we were looking for breakfast and it was definitely a good surprise to get there. Affordable and tasty food. The lady who was in charge was very nice and helped us to make our choice. Coffee is good and service is fast.

What we ate was very delicious and well priced. Very friendly staff.

There is a mad angry woman with glasses that shouldn’t be there because of poor customer service, I was charged twice for one item and when I asked for a refund she made a fuss about it. And was like hurry up so I asked just give me another item and made another big fuss about it.

Went in today to grab some lunch only to be told that what I had wouldn’t be enough for me being a larger person. So so rude!!!!!!!

Gran ubicación en el lado barato y los rollos de desayuno son decentes. La señora que trabaja aquí parece muy infeliz todo el tiempo. Muy rápido y siempre parece muy nervioso. Siento como si la estuvieras apagando entrando ahí.

Great sandwiches, but there's a really nasty old woman working in there, she was next to the window blaming everyone else for her mistakes and mess ups. She creates a horrible, uncomfortable atmosphere for the other staff

Tasty, good quantity and very reasonable price in central London

It is a small place just with a few seats but the people there are agreeable, they are always so friendly and a big smiles. There are plenty of options for a great sandwich which are really tasty and yummy.

Shocking!! I work locally and popped in to grab a toasted sandwich, nearly £7 for a toasted ciabatta with ham, cheese and breaded chicken which turned out to be 2 slices of chicken and once slice of ham in a roll that was microwaved then placed on the panini press by a lady that was handing my food with no gloves and wiping her forehead jn the process whilst mumbling unhappily under breath. I was then asked if I wanted mayo I said yes and the lady then cursed and whinged before literally throwing my sandwich at me, Some bystander was even chuckling in disbelief. Overall spend a £1 more and go bread and truffle where they sell amazing flavour sandwiches with good service. God knows how cheese and salt are still in business

This place is dire. The lettuce in my sandwich loooked about a month old. I'm genuinely shocked at how bad this place is. Bread rolls crumblingly stale and ear watering prices. Avoid.

The ONLY reason for 4 stars on food is there were days many items on the menu were not available and they don't have typical salad dressing but the staff, the food, the place is FANTASTICLY EXCELLENT!! the staff are incredible & they remembered me by 3rd day. I'm here on business and it's right near the office easy walk. I'll definitely be back next week although I do hope to try some other places around but if I can't find anything with gf options I'm fine coming here everyday 😋😂 & the prices!!! Incredible prices for what you get.

They microwave the sandwiches and then toast them, making them an odd combination of too hot and soggy, with rubbery meat. All round would avoid, have tried a few times and have officially given up now.

went in at roughly 10am and got a parma ham and mozzarella panini and it’s burnt/over cooked. rock solid i can’t even bite into it. i also asked for a sun dried tomato and mozzarella panini and they’ve given me a ham chicken and cheese one.

They were clearly closing as it was late in the day, but I was needing a late lunch before my meetings and they still served me and made me a salad. I will always appreciate kindness like this - they could have easily said they were closed but they didn’t :) salad was also fresh and lovely. Thank you!

On a budget in London this place is small, really friendly. Basic seating. Definitely coming here again. When I'm in London...

Unbelievable rude - will not be going back!

Awesome place for breakfast or a quick lunch, we found that place during our visit in London and decided it will be our breakfast place, the staff is extremely friendly and fast, they remember you after the second visit and more or less automatically prepare your favorite breakfast once you enter the building. I always had the "special breakfast" which consisted of two eggs, a sausage, three strips of bacon, a big portion of beans and two buttered toasts together with a big cup of coffee or tea. After this you don't need lunch or tea, your next dish is dinner, the price is quite low with only 6.80 pounds.

What put me off from the get go was the fact that they do not wear gloves when prepping/readying food. The older guy cracked open the jacket potato with his fingers and thumbs and had super long nails with dirt under them🤮

The new guy waiter was very racist with me when serving me, I asked him to repeat an ingredient because I didn't hear it and he replied "I want to kill someone today" looking to the lady and turn eyes baço to me with anger and irony, when I was at the table eating he arrived and asked which country I was from, when answering he said “It could only be”, next time should I understand quickly to him make the order faster. VERY RUDE. And then he looked me up and down in disgust mood. The Owner and lady Portuguese were present and did nothing. I’m feel so bad.

Customer service has gotten worse, it seems staff is not coping well during busy times. Food has gotten worse too, I can taste the ingredients are of lower quality presumably to keep the costs down. Sometimes the toasties are over done, sometimes too not done enough. Really hit and miss.

Lady was a bit snappy, but I can only imagine working with tourists all day lol. Regardless, food came quick, good price, and a generous proportion. It’s unique and off the beaten path. Obviously not a fancy restaurant, but I’ve seen far worse with this kind of venue. 👍🏻

Wonderful traditional London cafe, with real food and generous portions The English breakfast is amazing and great value for money. They also sell chicken schnitzel toasted ciabatta that is incredible. Great to see an independent cafe survived COVID and brexit. Well worth supporting and visiting

I can see now why they always toast everything... Stale bread very chewy, prices on the boards must be very old as what they charge is completely different and only offer what is on the counter. Tried it a couple of times, won't be going back in a hurry. As others have, hygiene is a bit of a joke, use their hands for everything including opening sandwiches and dropping salad in or moving things around...

This is a proper caff for cheerful, cheap and exceptionally good breakfast. The staff is awesome, friendly and funny. A rare find in the city. I loved it.

Situated in between the Monument to the Great Fire and the Tower of London, this little place is just what one is looking for: a typical English breakfast! Delicious and not that expensive, definitely recommended

We were on our way to Subway for a sandwich and noticed their display of sandwiches. It was too enticing not to order from here. I'm so glad that we chose this establishment as the ciabatta was delicious on it's own. We had ham and cheese with salt and pepper with a little touch of mayo. The sandwich was so filling that I couldn't eat the lot in one sitting, I saved half for dinner later. Next time we are in London, we'll be visiting again. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Worth every penny.

Popped in for some paninis before visiting the Tower of London. Staff isn’t especially friendly or patient but the food is very good, in good quantity, and for a reasonable price. Easy to recommend.

Visited this cafe 2 or 3 times on visits to London. The owner is a lovely chap who always has time to chat, this time talking about the problems within the hospitality business around COVID. His full English breakfast is great and good value for money. These local cafes need supporting and with the food and service as good as this they should be supported. Would definitely recommend this place and will almost certainly return on my next visit wherever I am staying in the city, I would always find time to start my day with a great breakfast, although next time think I will try a mid day meal too. Great place.

Headed here for a sandwich rather than going to the usual chains and glad I did. Truly excellent, flavoursome and fresh.

Back to supporting the smaller, independent places and today I thought how about a nice sandwich.. nothing special only bacon and sausage, not toasted, butter and a bit of tomato sauce....wow.. am I asking for a lot?? £ 4.70 for this sandwich is a joke really ...or is this the standard? You guys should be ashamed.

Run by a bunch of friendly staff behind their long counter, a vast array of food fillings for sandwiches, baps rolls etc. Fast efficient, friendly and they also remember their daily regulars. Forget the pre packaged one size fits all. You want mayo no butter no problem - they bake the sandwich as you direct. And at a reasonable price with masses of filling. A treat to find. Fresh food just as you would make yourself but better!! Try them - they’re great.

Delicious lunch food. Sandwich/coffee shop serving hot and cold sandwiches, Rolls, Wraps, baguettes and much more including salad. Lots of choices, very busy but quick service. Not cheap but similar prices that you would pay at Costa, Starbucks etc. Will go back tomorrow.

After visiting the Sky Garden we happened by Cheese and Peppers. Outstanding luck on our part. We were welcomed right in, served a wonderful breakfast and great coffee. The staff were very good to us and made us feel like we were regular customers. Highly Recommend.

Went to visit Cheesey Pepper when i recently moved jobs.... i ordered a bacon roll and when he shout out 220 pounds please i nearly fainted!!! .. afterwards i found the funny side as it was only 2.20 and the guy was joking... thanks cheese peppers you made my day!!

Great tasting food and sandwiches

What a lucky find! A wide choice including delicious sandwiches, baguette and panini's with a good range of fillings. The full English breakfast is excellent value. In fact it all is Good coffee too. Really inexpensive, especially for London! If you're round Tower Bridge or the Tower of London don't bother with the chains, call in here, you'll get a friendly welcome and excellent service.

Customer service is awful as you are rushed the second you enter the store by the elder gentleman, this has put me off coming as it has happened lots of times. The sandwiches/baguettes are nice but the pasta is cold and has been there for a while and I could make better at home. Ruined by the service!

Their Italian dishes need more spices. Their tomato sauce is just that, nothing more. But if you add your own, you have a great variety of pasta to choose from.

Mr Tom is nice and friendly, the toasts in my breakfas are super quick just on time before reach the office. What i do enjoy is the lunch, the pastas meals are generous size I like that they put a lot of cheese on top and ask always if I want more they already know that my answer is always yeah.

Tasteless microwaved carbonara... the sause resembles fatty slime. Increase quality and price as right now you are below the market in both.
