My wife and I went in this restaurant for a meal after shopping, we found the food here was excellent, if you want a roast dinner batch or maybe a breakfast bap or just a cuppa and a cake these along with other meals available are excellent value , the food is presented nice the staff are very polite and friendly. Overall a good place to have a break from shopping in a nice atmosphere.

I ordered an Americano and a Yorkshire tea to take away. The coffee was terrible, weak and flavourless. The tea was fine but, really, it's not that hard to put a tea bag, hot water and milk into a cup. I was also waiting a while to be served which would've been fine if what I got was worth waiting for.

I like the Chatwins Chain (a family business since 1913). Yesterday (Friday) Hubby bought 2 cakes from this shop. They add a big surcharge if you eat them inside so we decided to take them away. We sat on a bench outside and ate them in the glorious sunshine. Hubby enjoyed his egg custard tart and I savoured my lemon tart.

The staff were great. Food was lovely. The heat though was unbearable! The air con is clearly inadequate: the staff constantly had to apologise and were wilting in the heat. Chatwins you need to sort this out!!

Staff and food were great however the inadequate air conditioning made the lunch less than appealing. Chatwins needs to sort this out in this lovely weather

Amazed at some of the negative reviews I read about this lovely place in the centre of Wrexham. We call in on a fairly regular basis for coffee and a snack (when we can get a table). It is hugely popular for sit in and take away customers which makes me wonder about the people who place such awful reviews. (In most cases they don't make gramatical sense). We will keep on going and enjoying.

Bought a coffee, cake and bottle of still water to sit in at the premises. Cost - £5.50. Not dear, however, premises dirty, cake very dry - empty tables dirty whilst 3 members of staff stood and chatted about their work related problems behind the counter and the cashing up procedures!!! Also, one member of staff said that the remainder of cakes, which I had tried to digest one off, where being transferred to a tray and kept for the following day!! Please do better

I lived in the UK for 10 years and the cashiers never cheat and give wrong change. I visited authentic wales city and got cheated £10. I gave £20 note and carvery bap cost £4.5. She gave me back £5.5. I did not check the change as I never experience this kind of cheating in england. The same cheat only happened to me when I was in Greece. This is a disgrace and businesses should do background checks before giving an employee a position. This will forever change my perception about Walsh people.

This café serves the best hot buttered toast in the area, it is cut thick to order, the staff are more than willing to put as much butter as you want on the toast, yummy!!!. The hot meat sandwiches and cakes are also to die for. You must pay this café a visit..

Popped in for a light lunch. This was excellent. Thai chicken soup and a fresh bread roll for my wife and the filled jacket potato and salad for myself. Freshly prepared and excellent value at just under £9.

The Wrexham staff were friendly and offered a great service that went without any problems. We had the special offer of a tuna salad bap and it was very tasty indeed. Great service and the staff were happy to deliver a wonderful Welsh welcome. Well done to all in Chatwins Wrexham.

We stopped off for a tasty bite and stumbled across this bakery in Wrexham that offered such a wide range of food for either eating in their cafe or to take away. We arrived at 12.30 pm and were nor surprised at the volume of customers that came in and out durin our 20 minute stay and that simply endorsed the popularity of the establishment.

Bought a Thomas the Tank Engine cake here today to take home for my daughter. When she bit into it the sponge was very hard and dry. It was completely stale. We are very disappointed. Needless to say we the cake ended up in the bin. What a complete waste of money.

We had bacon bap, cheese and ham toastie and a jacket potato with chese and beans, tea, coffee and a Coke. We all enjoyed our lunch and the atmosphere! We'll be back when next in Wrexham

Me and a friend where IN Wrexham shopping the week before last and thought we'd pop in here for a quick sandwich. The staff were very disorganised, arrogant and didn't seem to know what they where doing, one of them stood by the carvery meats in the window scratching her head and didn't wash her hands after! (I waited even longer to be served to make sure I dint get this person) I asked one of the girls if the sausages where peppered sausages as they had black bits in them, her reply was 'I think they're normal sausages, maybe it herbs' staff clearly don't know what's what there. After ordering we sat down to eat, I wondered what was wrong when all 4 members of staff got together and stated whispering together behind the counter. Shortly after a young girl came to our table and told us that we where had to pay extra to eat in, we didn't get a chance to swallow what food we had in our mouths before the young girl shouted from behind the counter 'so are you leaving or going to pay extra?' Because I'd the ride attitude we decided to go after e plain that we should of been asked in the beging if we where going to eat in ir take away (that's what most places do). I will NEVER EVER RETURN.

cafe situated on the main high street in Wrexham, next to the Nationwide building society, not very big at all approx. 20 seats in total, The main business of this establishment is the sale of freshly prepared sandwiches and sale of pastries and cakes. The café appears to be the afterthought, however the service is good , prices competitive with the other café on this street, possibly slightly cheaper. The other issue for older customers is that the toilets are up stairs. Quality of food is good.

Best breakfast in Wrexham, I dare you to try and finish it. Also their pies, pasties and cakes are great. Fresh every day. Pork pies are very nice, they have jelly in which is always a bonus.

I have been here on numerous occasions and have always been happy with the service. Staff always friendly and chatty. Make a good hot latte and proper hand cut toast not sliced bread. Make up fresh baps or sandwiches from a selection of items including hot beef or pork. Worth a visit

I have used this cafe on a number of occasions, both for take-away food and to eat in. The one experience of eating in was not good as we called in around 1.00pm and it took ages to get served, and you have to wait at the counter to place your order.

I often visit this restaurant and it is often very busy and staff try their best. Sadly today I witnessed a very rude customer demanding a meal deal even though the staff continually said the system was not recognising it was available. The couple then spoke to the manager and continued to be very rude towards staff and told them they couldn’t argue with customers. A little while later the same customer walked up to the counter and slammed a plate down saying ‘I want it warmed’ - I was nearby to this second encounter. The staff did their best to keep the situation calm and explained that it was out of their control. The manager seemed to be upset with this situation. No-one should tolerate this entitlement from some customers. It’s disappointing to see that this customer has tried to put a bad review about this poor staff member trying to blame her and get her into trouble when the customer was in the wrong in my honest opinion.

Have now been half a dozen times and its the same every time - slow to take an order, slow to serve the food unbelievably slow to get a bill and take payment. The foods good, the prices are reasonable but with 5 staff in the place during our last visit and only 6 customers the poor service is the reason we now go elsewhere.

Had a take away Saturday night, mainly because of the delivery option. Easy to order, delivery time estimated 80 minutes plus, which wasn’t a problem. Food arrived within the hour, and it certainly didn’t disappoint, it was possibly best Chinese take away we have had in 12 months. This isn’t our usual default Chinese take away. Beef king po and beef black bean both with booked rice and both were delicious. Accompanied by prawn toast and mini spring rolls which again were delicious. Fantastic takeaway.
