Had a few times, very consistently good. The veggie burger as a whole was tasty but the 'meat' was a bit supbar - dry, unpleasant texture, unfortunately common with veggie meat. The chips also have a tendency to be too salty, including the children's chips, which is disappointing. Otherwise, great speedy service and always updating menu.

UPDATING REVIEW: Recent drops in price and the addition of single burger varieties has made Charred BBQ far more affordable, the quality of the burgers has increased massively and the laoded fries are still great with more options now than before. I have yet to re try the fried chicken. Charred BBQ's specialty burgers that feature their pulled pork and their brisket are very nice but there should be options to have the pulled pork or the brisket without the burgers in their own rolls like was available before the menu change. In fact since the menu change the place has lost a lot of character going from something unique to just another burger joint. Loaded fries are nice, largely due to the pulled pork and brisket. However the fried chicken which I have tried on three separate occasions has been mediocre at best and very poor at worst, with the latest time I had tried it being the worst, the breading was soggy/ not cooked and the flavour was off. I have to say the milkshakes are some of the best I have had in Somerset and recently the Korean ribs were very nice although they could be meatier and are definitely over priced. There is potential for this place but at the moment I feel like it isn't worth the money.

Was looking for something different to the usual takeaways, gave it a try and impressed with the burgers, ceasar being my favorite, would not bother with the milkshakes as small and expensive

Had charred bbq a few times now Burgers are amazing, chip good. Would give 5 stars but the last time I had it the chip were in the same containers but had about a 1/4 missing, now the chips are in a different container that is alot smaller but the same price. Would 100% recommend the burgers

Hands down the best food in Chard, burgers and chicken were absolutely delicious, loaded fries were as tasty as they could be and friendly staff but won’t be visiting there often due to the price.

Walked in got greeted by a very nice guy behind the counter, I ordered the double burger with cheese and it was absolutely delicious, normally places with double stacked burgers make it look very flat and unappealing but this place made it taste as good as it looked. 100% would recommend and will definitely be going there again!

Really nice food even though a little expensive so we don't have it very often sadly but definitely worth the treat when we can afford to !

My fiancée ordered a cheeseburger, which she explained that tasted average, nothing special about it (one of those that you can make at home as the ingredients were very basic). Mine mushroom buns were vile. Mushrooms were covered in soy sauce, which over killed the entire burger. I couldn’t taste anything other but soy sauce. Chips were okay, again nothing special and slightly cold. The only good thing that we both enjoyed were Brie bites. Unfortunately, we won’t be visiting again and for us it wasn’t value for money.

I tried this as a lunchtime treat which encouraged me to go for a Friday night takeaway option. Great value for money. Can’t wait to sample more from the menu.

Absolutely fantastic. Had the chard carnival special box last night and it was so good.

First time trying food from Charred BBQ. Read some of the reviews before going and wasn't expecting amazing results. We got two burgers and some pulled pork loaded fries, can say that the loaded fries were very good, very tasty and would definitely get again. My burger was a BBQ Brisket Burger with coleslaw, while the slaw was good and the brisket was very moist and tasty, the burger was very bland, not much flavour to it at all. My partners burger was a chicken burger which again had elements which were good, but the chicken breast itself was nothing to be wowed over, could do with a breaded chicken breast rather than just a normal one perhaps? Came to around £27 for all of that which is not too bad, but would expect more taste for what were £10 burgers. I saw some comments about sogginess, but ours travelled for about 10 mins and were fine so this seems to have been improved on. The food was ready bang on time as we arrived it was being placed into bags, so I would suggest you get there early to avoid your food being sat around too long. Would probably go again, but have to give 3 stars as nothing particularly special about it.

Second time visiting Charred bbq. Great to see they have added more things on the menu. The meat was so tender and the ribs were amazing.

SO TASTY. I had a vegan hot dog, the vegan biscoff shake, I also shared some mushroom loaded fries and they were all so good. The toppings on the hot dog and the sauce on the mushrooms were fantastic 😍

Something genuinely different in Chard! We ordered the Reuben burger, chicken wings, loaded mushroom fries (vegan), vegan hotdog and vegan burger, and a vegan biscoff shake. First off, the meat dishes are brilliant for a takeout spot, even by restaurant standards, but the main surprise was how good the veggie/vegan items were! They aren't just a compulsory nod as is the case with most places. They're genuinely tasty with a good variety. Really impressed. Value wise it's a touch more than your standard takeaway, but the quality far outstrips the increase. I'd happily pay half as much again in Bristol and still consider it good value. Everything was immaculately presented and packaged by really friendly staff. I visit Chard once a month or so from Bristol to see family, and it's guaranteed we'll be eating here each time.

Great food, well presented and delicious. I had the brisket burger and ribs side, both were quite large and the ribs were nicely seasoned Would recommand to anyone in the area! .

i was abit sceptical as i dont overly like meat, but ordered a few items (burnt end dirty fries, ribs, brie bites, brownie) every single thing was super tasty! i ate everything!! The packaging is also really good, the food looks amazing (I was too busy eating to take pictures....) highly recommend😋 will definitely be coming back

I was really looking forward to trying Charred BBQ. I ordered the brisket beef burger. The brisket was delicious, however the rest of the burger lacked flavour, which was disappointing! The fries were good and the lotus biscoff milkshake was incredible..

Was so excited when this shop was announced and was really looking forward to it but unfortunately wasn’t wowed by the food the mac and cheese had very little taste and not much cheese taste at all both mine and my partners burgers were okay but nothing special buns were soggy did have a 5-10 minute travel time as we got home we tucked in straight away as we couldn’t wait was lukewarm at best disappointing but will give it another try soon to see if it was just a one off hoping it improves

Absolutely stunning! Exactly what’s needed in Chard. Honestly didn’t expect to find such a gem. Amazing taste, stunning quality, this kind of food you’ll get in Brighton and places but wasn’t expecting to get this in Chard! Get down there! It’s top notch.
