Charlie's Cafe Restaurant & Online Deli in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Unusual(but great)menu with fresh local food and bread made on site, very friendly staff. Great coffee and refreshing orange juice toilets available but only one.

We’ve called in here twice now and were delighted with the food and service both times. We tried both the ham and chicken sandwiches - both were excellent. A good choice of cakes to follow, alongside an excellent cappuccino. Definitely recommended.

Turmeric Bread... WOW. Possibly the best sandwiches we have ever eaten in the UK. Turmeric bread is a game changer. The wife had the ham sandwich and I had the chicken sandwich. Utterly delightful. Very tasty and flavoursome. Coffee was delightful too. Go and try, you won't regret it.

I had lunch here several years ago, so naturally, you wonder if it is still as great as you remember. The answer is it was. We had the crab sandwiches, which were beautiful. I would recommend this place if you are visiting Tintagel. It was a pity that we did not have enough time to return for a cream tea, as they looked divine.

The best Dahl with homemade flatbread and kimchi ever! We waited a while to get it, along with a curried soup with home made bread, but wow was worth the wait. Chef working out of a tiny kitchen obviously knows and loves his food. Lovely job!

Dropped in for lunch during a visit to Tintagel. We received a really warm welcome. A great selection of meals, many served with homemade bread. Service was friendly. We would strongly recommend.

Stopped off for a coffee whilst in Tintagel , great little place with amazing quality produce available inside , purchased some great cheese and probably the best sour dough ever with turmeric .

Rarely write a review for Trip Adviser unless we have received an excellent meal and service, although they were extremely busy Charlies never disappoints with both. Cant praise this little independent cafe enough and always able to buy lots of lovely treats to take away with us.

Stopped here, waiting for family with a drink. Lovely place, super friendly staff and great atmosphere. We didn't stay for lunch as dogs were not allowed inside. Shame really as it was raining outside.

Ordered scones with jam and clotted cream to take away. Was surprised when told we had to wait 10 mins and was certainly worth it. Took out 2 warm scones per serving with plenty of cream and jam. Tasted delicious and lovely service too.

Super friendly staff on arrival followed by delicious home made lunch. A family of 4 we demolished a tasty salad and prawn sandwich on turmeric sough dough, pulled pork burger, beef bun and chips and a cream tea. The service, ambience and food were rated 100%, with a surprisingly reasonable bill for such excellent food. Thanks for a super start to our holiday.

We stopped by for breakfast. I had eggs royale and my partner had crab and eggs on toast. It was the freshest beautiful food ever. The poached eggs were the best I’ve ever had and the blood orange yolk in the middle was stunning. Inside there’s a brilliant shop with preserves and all sorts. Just a lovely place and highly recommend it

Absolute cracking find! So so happy we stumbled across this gem for lunch on our holiday. The staff couldn't be more lovely and the food was incredible. Shame I didn't get a chance to sample the breakfast menu...it looked yummy. If we ever come back to Cornwall this will definitely be a place we would return too. Thanks to all the staff. Can’t recommend Charlie’s enough! Friendly, welcoming staff who go above and beyond to accommodate you. Delicious, homemade food. Beautiful location. They even have ice cream for dogs!

Always pop into Charlies when we are in the area and took the opportunity of stocking up with goodies for Christmas presents and treats. The Christmas pudding was the nicest that we have ever had.
