Tried for first time tonight and really good fresh fish and plenty of chips would go back 👍

Ordered 2 x fish butty and chips the food was really nice fresh fish at a good price. I got served by a really pleasant gentleman will definitely by usual fish and chips

Food was horrible so much Greece can't eat the chips as to hard, threw it in the bin can't take it back as they closed now definitely never going back.

My fish and chips were well overcooked. The curry sauce was watered down. Ended up throwing them in the bin and it cost me £10. Absolutely shocking. P.s it's under new management. The last owners did decent fish and chips.

Under new ownership, food was disgusting batter was just grease, chips rock hard will not be going back. Highly recommend you don't try it horrible binned the lot

Well the chips I bought today have to be the worst ive ever had. Cheap old potatoes have been used. Lots of rot on them. See for yourself in my photo. Won't be going again

New owners. Not worth going anymore. Argumentative when it comes to paying, 2 day old batter and yesterday's chips. Charged for 2 scallop butties and got only 1. Haven't had a chippy this bad, ever.

Brilliant! Lightly battered was ordered and that's exactly what I got. Light and crispy batter. No sludge between the fish and the batter. Chips were soft and fluffy inside. Friendly environment. All round lovely experience 10/10

Just happened to pop in this afternoon for the first time for some chip butties while traffic was grid locked.. Wish I had never went! Staff were miserable, asian lad was handling food barehanded after I saw him washing up in the back and he was just rude. The chips were absolutely disgusting, they were that hard and undercooked that we had to bin it. What a waste of money, avoid at all costs.

Bad. Chips were awful ,tasted of off fish . Staff seemed miserable, felt like we were putting them out asking them to cook a fish . Didn’t feel great after eating , binned most of the food . This place used to be good .

5.30 Saturday: Just bought fish, chips and peas from this once 5 star fish and chip shop. Extremely disappointed: if I could could give it no stars I would - abysmal!!!

This place has gone from 5 star to 1 star since it changed owners. We will not be back

Since this previously fabulous fisheries changed ownership it has gone downhill. The last two deliveries we had were rubbish, the batter was poor quality and the chips were refried. We are so disappointed that this once brilliant fisheries has now deteriorated so badly. Come on, new owners, get a grip, we Yorkshire people want proper top quality Yorkshire fish n chips like we used to get from charlestown fisheries

Brilliant chippy. Best in Baildon.

They are only open for a couple of hours on an evening. So you have to go early. They never fail to impress. Beautiful flaky fish and crispy batter. They also give a discount if you pay cash. But happily take card payments too

I never leave google reviews but the fish and chips we've had from here recently have been so nice, really good big chunky haddock and light crispy batter - so good I felt compelled to leave a review!

Been a regular here for years. Changed hands many times. Current owners as November 2022 seem efficient but quality has gone down while price has gone up about 30%. Fish is now made to order, which during a limited lunch break is an unwelcome few minutes of standing about. Several wasted hours per year! Also the fish has been "soggy" recently. An issue with freezing/thawing? Quality? Finally, the previous owners habit of including a few chips gratis on a fish butty was a very welcome policy that has not been continued...

I used to occasionally use Charlestown Fisheries under the previous ownership and I regularly used Baildon Fisheries. It's great news that Lee and Jenny and team are back delivering top notch grub to Baildon and the surrounding area. We had a large delivery this weekend with family round, and everyone was very happy with what they got. We will definitely be ordering again before long.

I cannot praise the owners of this Fish and Chip Shop enough. Formerly Baildon Fisheries. The food ia always spot on, as is the service. They go above an beyond to serve their local community. Work around the corner from these guys, don't often get fast food in general but whenever I've given in to the temptation always been very happy with their food! Also great staff 👍

Great fish and chips and great service. They cook to order so its hot and fresh for you. I ordered on arrival and only had to wait a few minutes for it to be ready (3 fish, 2 chips, curry sauce, peas). I asked for a light batter on the fish and it was perfect. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

I live abroad so always look forward to fish and chips when back visiting family, and our takeaway from Baildon Fisheries last night didn't disappoint. I had the light meal, small fish and small chips, which was fab, great portion size and very tasty. Parents had fish and a cake, and we all shared mushy peas and curry sauce. It was all superb, thank you.

We received our order today granted it arrived just after 5pm having made a preorder at 3:30pm. When we received them they were just warm!. We were very disappointed with our order this time sorry to say.

Last week,when the power supply had been outed by the storm.we sent out for fish and chips,they were delivered and arrived hot and crisp,and were a taste sensation! So thank you for that.So impressed was I,that I wanted to try Baildon Fisheries again just to be sure they were as good as I thought they were.They were not ! If anything they were even better,so congratulations to you, and very well done.

Just had a delivery this evening first time absolutely brilliant!!

Jumbo fish served in an unnecessary carton tray. Cost £5.20. An expensive lunch. Worked in the area for 12 years so far. Despite lovely fish, and friendly staff. Can't afford to pay this for one lunch. Doubt I will return to buy another lunch

Only had a bag of chips when passing on a 'lockdown walk'. They were bloody gorgeous. Chunky Chips! Very friendly people there too. I will return as they do a lot more than fish and chips.

Nothing is ever too much, even phoning to check I can order ten mins before closing as I’m greedy and just needed fish and chips! Lee and his team are all so polite and the service is next to none, the food is always fresh,delicious and piping hot, I will always recommend and would not deter from Baildon Fisheries! Have used for many years and will continue to use for many years! One of the very few places I can honestly say I’ve never had any bad experience. What’s more outstanding with Baildon Fisheries is their services during the pandemic and still serving many families in timely manners. Superstars!!!!

Best Fish and Chips we have tried for a long time it was our first time but won't be our last.

Called and ordered the easiest order fish chip sausage curry sauce. Got home no sausage. Chips only nearly cooked. Curry sauce that thick I couldn't pour from tub and to top it off clap cold. What's happened to this fish shop. Total rubbish for good money paid. Thrown in bin.

FOLLOW UP REVIEW FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW: Started visiting again and quality is back up where it should be and used to be - started using again regularly and really pleased with service and quality again. Recommending to friends and family again, good portions and great quality - thanks Lee. Started off really well, but the last few visits have been average at best. Average portion size and average quality - sometimes seem a little over done. For some of the people serving, it just seems a chore for them to be serving - service with a smile please and be more aware about the quality.

We have had dinner from here at least once a week and it arrives piping hot and delicious on time would recommend to anyone one who has a taste bud to have this.

Absolutely beautiful food. I was a little sad when they closed the restaurant as I live at the top of the hill and don't drive. I am absolutely delighted they now deliver so me and my children can enjoy the best fish and chips in baildon.

Scrappy looking chips, full of grease and then more. Fish was OK, not great but OK. The women in front of me had much fresher looking chips. Not the first time they have been like this. Wont use again

My first time here and I was incredibly impressed. Quick service during a busy period and a happy smiling young lady at the counter. I had scollops which until now I had only thought of as fish things. But turns out they are a potato based dish as well, who knew? (Probably everyone but me :) ) Chips were gorgeous with a light fluffy inside and a crispy outside. This is going to be a regular haunt for me from this point on.

Has to be Baildons premier fish and chip shop. Spotless inside and pleasant staff. Quality is second to none. Very tasty and reasonably priced. 10/10
