Kebab is disgusted made me and my children ill Wouldn’t feed it to my dog the meat smelt and tasted rotten I rang The manager and he was very rude saying white people don’t know what kabab looks and taste likes also didn’t want to know about the compliment told me to go else where he was not bothered at all that his food has made a child unwell would not recommend to buy from here

Walk in order for a Pizza and some fries when shop nearly empty, waited nearly an hour for the Pizza, Others came in left before me, was told they had "forgotten" about my order and they were busy, even though I was the only order when I placed it, food was stone cold when I got home nearby

House special kebab and chicken kebab and chips. Excellent tasty food and enormous portions. We'll be back whilst staying in the area. 👍👍😎😎

Moved to whitehaven 2 years ago and By far best place for takeaway in whitehaven, we have never had a bad pizza from here. Would love for them to start doing kebabs in nans bread they'd be amazing.

Always been our go to, but unfortunately last night our pizza was stone cold and inedible, chips missing and two hours late. (£30 for a kebab)Tried to call that night to rectify. But they had switch the phones of. Due to been busy. Rang today to be told if I'd rang the same day the pizza would of been changed and chips sent. But can't do it today as it's the day after. So not sure how we would of got what we paid for. Manager was decent on the phone and offered me my chips but that was all. So unfortunately that's another customer they've lost

Decent takeaway. Staff very friendly, order via their website for best prices. Hygiene good. One of the better takeaways. I'd recommend the 4 seasons pizza. Shame they don't do a thin crust or it would be perfect.

Kebab are lovely. Ripped off with Chinese salt n pepper chips- normal chips with salt n pepper sprinkle which also was cold when they arrived

I'm not sure what happened here but this isn't £9 worth of "large" chicken kebab. Also ordered a shish kebab wrap, which arrived so cold and wet I could wring it out. Update: called to complain and the person we spoke to basically argued and told us we were wrong and that we should expect cold, wet soggy food. For 20 minutes. So, enjoy your one star. We won't be ordering from here again and, unless you want cold soggy food, suggest you don't either.

Used charcoal quite a few times and always been spot on. Times were a bit hit and miss during the pandemic but now things have settled they are coming on time.. Tasty pizzas, recommend the T rex

Joke... delivery time 35 mins waited 45 mins then they ring to say we cancelled your order because our driver has drove past all the road closed signs and wont go the other way.. rang shop to say its poor service and they just hung up on me

This time last year it was my fave take away shop! However recently they have been awful. The pizza is different every time I order (from barely any pizza base to it being deep pan and toppings are never cooked). I NEVER get my dips or drinks which is annoying as it’s £1 just for a CAN of drink. Recently when I have been eating the food I always have a bad stomach the next day. And don’t even get me started on the delivery time!! Be prepared to wait Atleast an hour and a half. There’s been a few time I’ve had to ring up and ask where my order is or tell them I’m missing something that I have paid for and they are as useful as a lead balloon. It really is a shame as last year everyone was raving about this take away and I couldn’t fault it at all.

I just don't understand the good reviews for this place. 2 hour delivery time after being told 45 mins. At at an 1 hour 50mins I was about to give in 10 mins and ringing back to cancel. Wish I'd never waited the 10 minutes extra. All down hill from here. Pizza was like cardboard. Ordered a chicken tikka pizza and well, where was the chicken? Delivery driver started off well, apologising. Until, it seemed like a tactic to get more money out of me. She didn't know how much my food was. She asked ME how much it was. I had said, I didn't ask on the phone but it was... Well, I got cut off and she did a little calculation and 'spat out' 21.50 😂. Well! I said, it was a meal deal if she'd have let me finish. So that, then the delivery charge. Which I didn't know of but I'd say couple of quid so it'll be 16. She says, Oh right oh yeah, runs to her car (didn't even bring change to the door) and pulls out 2 pound change from 20. Well I'd had enough, I just snatched it and went in. Food was terrible. So unfortunately, never again. If delivery driver does that to everyone she's on a good screw. Wouldn't mind but, I always tip anyways. Although to be truthful, for a 2 hour wait, I wouldnt have tipped. Very cheeky getting 2 pound out of everyone though.

Clean, friendly staff and lovely food. Very quick service and catered to my request. The food was very nice and hot. Love that the salad and sauce is separate to the kebab as it kept warm on our drive back. Big portion sizes as well. Would definitely recommend 👌

Friendly staff and food mostly good, but on my last visit I was given a chicken fillet burger that was about 80% gristle all the way through. Disgusting. Even my dog struggled to chew it! Will never go back.

I always treat my self to the fresh made food at the Charcoal grill, having specific diet restrictions means I can only eat fresh cooked food and I can definitely state that these guys are spot on, they are polite and efficient and friendly especially as most customers popping in for orders when I have been in have been women. I don't use any other takeaway in town. Repeat customer here. Thank you lads

Donner meat tasted awful, chips tasted un-cooked, garlic sauce was watery and pizza was half okay as it was burnt! Everyone who eat was extremely ill afterwards, sickness diarrhoea.

Awful service, ordered off their website and delivery said 90-100 minutes which i already thought was a long time to wait for a delivery but due to the current circumstances I thought fair enough, paid for the order by card, after 100 minutes of waiting called for them to tell us that it was the next out and would be brought up by the manager ASAP however when explaining that we had waited two hours the woman on the phone had a bad attitude telling me to ‘hod on’ and speaking with a tone in her voice, for it to arrive 30 more minutes after that and when asking about the wait, the boss who dropped it off said ‘can you find better?’ Which I find really unprofessional since they had already arrived 2 and a half hours after ordering, ridiculous.

Charcoal Grill catered for a recent hen party I organised. Couldn’t fault anything. All the pizzas were amazing and everyone wanted to know where they were from, as they were so tasty.

So I ordered a food from here tonight.... they said 40 mins, I said👍 That was half 7! It landed at 9, cold! Then when my husband said well here’s a tip for u (the delivery guy) and I’m only paying £10(full price £14!) the delivery guy went mental.... started punching my new front door!!!! I called the shop and the manager wouldn’t listen to me, and hung up!!! All can say u wxxxers!!!!! Punch my door mate .... deal with me!!! He was soon off 👎

Charcoal Grill menu is excellent and the meal deals are top value for money. Food is freshly prepared and you never have to wait very long for your order. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

20.00pm ordered 3 meals. 21.40 PM still waiting and this is the 3rd time on the trot similar has happenedthe previous 2 the fod was cold. Called up, got the usual it's on it's way, told the girl they were going to lose custom with this level of service with which she replied "ok." Plenty of rival takeaways in town and I'll be spending my money elsewhere in future.

Placed an order online and paid for it said the order would be 60 mins it was 1hr 40 in total, my husband rang to ask where it was and was told it was with the driver, suprise! When he said "this has happed the last 4 times we have ordered with you we have waited more than an hour and a half your gonna loose custom" the reply was "that's fine".... ok then trah! The food is not bad but it just isnt worth the wait and you'll probably die of hunger before it arrives anyway! I'll be ordering elsewhere.

I’ve ordered from here a few times, the food is nice when it’s not cold or if the order is correct. every time I’ve ordered they have forgotten either my drink, a dip or food. I ordered from them tonight and it took over an hour and a half for them to get the pizza to me (a 5 minute drive away). When I phoned up to ask about my order they were extremely rude and actually hung up the phone.

We have used this spot a few times and trust me it's the best spot in town....food always delivered hot and fresh and it also tells you how long it may take...take note ....if you go to collect you food I'm quite sure you won't find a more spotless takeaway.. 10 out of 10 from me.......and no I don't work there or know anyone who does but after reading some of these reviews I thought I would for once give my review...Thanks Lee

On sat I placed an order by phone after a hour had passed I rang up to ask what the hold up was I was told by the girl on the phone it's on its way.after 30 mins still no food my partner rang back and canceled the food where she was also told it was out with the driver. I know sat is probably the most busy day of the week but if you can't handle big orders don't take them and tell customers it's on its way when it wasn't. I will never order from this joke of a company again!! If you like long wait for food then charcoal grill is for you

Really lovely food tonight, we’ve not had food from here in a while and the negative reviews were putting me off however we gave it a go. Red hot food in 25 mins. Chicken kebab cooked lovely. Hubbies pizza was exceptional he said and top service, very friendly driver. We won’t leave it so long next time. Great job.

I usually order from here but I ordered the other week and got food poisoning, I didn’t know if it was actually the takeaway so I said I won’t know until I try again a few days ago I ordered, I had ended up in hospital with food poisoning never again am I trusting this takeaway

Waited 95 minutes for the food to arrive. When it did arrive the sauce was missing yet again. Onions on a pizza when asked to leave them off. Also chillis in a plain donner calzone!!! Used to be the best place in town. The last 3 months has been a complete disaster. Never again.

The Charcoal special chicken kebab with onions peppers and much rooms is the best. Big succulent lumps of chicken marinated to perfection. Definitely worth the £8

While the pizzas are usually nice, the Donna kababs are quite dry and leather like through the middle of the week, weekends ain’t too bad. I would recommend however that you go directly and not order a delivery, these delivery times are anything from the promised 45 mins to a hour, to a quite simply ridiculous 2 hours and even then only after repeated phone calls. If this was a one off occurrence I wouldn’t mind, sadly it’s not, it’s almost every time we order a delivery. No more. We will either collect in person or go elsewhere. Tonight we nearly refused to take the order deciding to impose a time limit that was going to be our cut off point... another 10 mins and we wouldn’t have accepted

5 stars doesn’t summit it up. The pizzas are superb. Deep pan with loads of fresh filling. Buy one get one free on Monday and Tuesday if you collect. The kebabs could be better through the week but that’s a common problem. The staff are friendly and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble.

Ordered online it took 1hour 40mins to finally arrive then my garlic bread with tomato had approx 1tsp of tomato on. I called up and told them and no apologies or "we will send another" or refund or discount off next order they just told me theres nothing they can do they are too busy. Amazing customer service to once loyal customers, ha joke. We started ordering from here when it first opened never would go anywhere else was great, however obviously they have became to busy to cope. There loss as we will never return and in such a small town word travels fast!

Ordered online with an estimated time of 55-70 mins which sounded a long time anyway, nevermind it taking over an hour and a half to come without even an apologies for our wait. Also food was extremely greasy, all together a bad experience and I wouldn't go back.
