Exceptional food. Ordered cheeseburger and mozzarella panini to take out. Both were excellent and substantial. Highly recommended.

Been here a few times for ice cream & coffee in the past and it’s always been great. We recently passed by and noticed the breakfast menu. Upon enquiring, we were told we could bring our dog inside, no problem (the friendly lady working on the till even offered some doggy biscuits) £9.50 for a full breakfast including coffee, it was a tasty meal and great value for money. Seemed to be quite a decent cafe menu as well, all at a sensible price. A lot of the local establishments seem to have gone ‘upmarket’ and charge accordingly - it’s great to see there’s still room in the village for a friendly, old-school cafe, offering good quality food at a reasonable price. Looking forward to returning again.

The food was delicious and a great choice of ice cream for pudding. The staff were friendly and very helpful and accommodated all our choices and fussy eating!!

What lovely young men with very nice polite smiles who served us .a lady also who was very kind she was cleaning up but let us in with our doggie to look closer at the yummy ice creams ....its always nice to be greeted with a smile and the lady was showing us all the new flavours which we tried and really enjoyed .thank you for your kindness . Black current and liquorice and clotted cream and raspberry....we could have stayed all day just eating all the flavours ...keep up the good work .x

Best ice cream around. Hence it is very busy during the summer months. Coffees also worth having and the staff are great with children and particularly dogs. Our dogs love walking by - daily!

A wonderful, friendly place with excellent quality ice cream. The lady who served us was utterly fantastic; she was so kind to my friend’s small child, getting down to her level to chat with her and ask her what flavour ice cream she’d like. It’s always a nice treat to go and get an ice cream, but Chaplins is always an especially uplifting experience.

Really nice place, really nice staff, really nice food and ice cream. Given its location I was surprised how well priced it was, too!

Wide range of local and classic ice cream flavours. I tried the apple crumble flavour and it was delicious! Liked the fact that you could just order from a hatch in the wall if you didn’t want to sit in. This made it so much easier and quicker (I think I only had to wait in line for around a minute or so). It’s also right next to the beach which is very convenient.

This cracking little place was a stones throw for our holiday cottage so the kids had an ice cream daily with lots of great flavors We had a sit in breakfast and a takeaway baguette lunch Reasonably priced and very good Would highly recommend 👍

Called in for coffee and cake. The cakes were excellent and the coffee was good. The staff were friendly and the only slight negative was that the cafe was a little basic and lacked atmosphere.

We stopped off here for an ice cream on the way to the beach and decided to head back around lunchtime for some takeaway baguettes and wow am I glad we did! All freshly prepared, warm crusty bread packed so full of fresh ingredients that you can hardly get your mouth round them! Tuna salad, hot chicken salad, ham and cheese panini and hot dog with proper onions were all genuinely amazing (and I'm really not one to lose my mind over a sandwich!)

Super lunch, real homemade tomato soup, burger and two bacon and sausage baps. Perfect lunch time cafe. Quality food, nicely served. Highly recommended this cafe. Park in the car park by the library.

I called here late morning. I am not usually one to get excited about a bacon sandwich, but it was honestly one of the best ones I have had! Fresh bread roll, good quality bacon and lots of it. Great coffee too. And very friendly staff. Went back later for an ice-cream but they were queueing down the street and my car park ticket was about to expire so sadly didn't try!

Been a few times now over the past few days, both for Ice Cream and the wide range of hot food on offer. Brilliant little place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. Plenty of choice in terms of ice cream flavours and always pleasant staff!

Staff are super friendly and very helpful, especially with kids. No effort is too much! My dad used to come here regularly for his morning cappuccino and his grandkids will continue to visit for delicious ice cream and sandwiches!

We visited here twice whilst on holiday in Rhosneigr. First visit was for lunch (highly recommend the soups) and then again the next day for the Welsh breakfast which was lovely. A great little cafe which is dog friendly. We were really impressed with the food and the friendly service from the staff. Will definitely be returning when we're next in Rhosneigr.

We loved Chaplin’s last year and it didn’t disappoint this year. Three visits in 3 days. Icecream day 1, home made delicious soups day 2 (OK, and chips .. or egg and chips for one of us!), and gorgeous super-spicy panini & baguette day 3. We had a panini ham and cheese and a ham salad here, it was lovely flavourful and plenty of it, it’s averagely prices in my eyes , we then had an ice cream sundae each, very very nice, the staff are mostly youngsters but good at what they do , there is a couple of older girls I think one is called Alice and another is called rhianna and Mia, they are all very friendly and do a good job with the customers. The food looks all home cooked and fresh, the ham is certainly very good quality , this place is open in the winter which is great for us when we come down on weekends. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

Visited Chaplins coffee bar on the way back from a long walk ,with our dog Thorn who was greeted with a bowl of water and dog biscuits ,a very big tick to the lady who was very kind and friendly , we ordered coffees and cake , my husband had the flapjacks of which he said were the best he had ever tasted ,we were told they were made locally ,A big mention for the icecream also ,

The welsh clotted cream here is the best in the world. A pot of tea. Warm scones clotted cream and jam. Perfect

Didn’t think about it until we had walked away and were putting away our change. £10.90 for pot of tea for one, a fennigans ginger beer and one slice of Bakewell tart (£2.50). The cake was lovely but overall costly for what we had.

Good customer service doesn't have to be complicated. We stopped by for a couple of ice creams and two takeaway sausage rolls. They were prepared to order, by which time we decided to sit down. They came out in bags. We said we'd decided to sit in. Oh, in how many places would that have been greeted with eye rolling or tutting. Not here. We were immediately offered plates, cutlery and sauce, brought with a smile. So simple. So effective. So welcome. Thank you.

Best full breakfast in the village by far....and lots of it!! Good quality sausages and bacon (which really does make a breakfast in my opinion) reasonably priced and comes with a tea or coffee.....fantastic!! Only downside is the lack of space/tables inside as it gets so busy, and the fact there is no customer toilet. Food is delicious, good selection of ice cream and sorbets and incredibly friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely return when we next visit :)

Been here a number of times.......we always enjoy our food here. We had full breakfasts whilst our grandson had pancakes, which he devoured, and he's quite hard to please usually. As usual...good food, well cooked and no hanging about...well done.

Just popped in to grab some ice creams to take down to the beach just two minutes away. What a great selection and we opted for the delicious choc chip, mint choc and very special salted caramel. A highly recommend spot!

Me and My partner, Isobel, visited Chaplins cafe on the off chance of a good meal, which we never tend to see in The noncey town of Rhosneigr, we walked in to get some chips and ice cream and both me and Isobel, had a huge smell of farts, it was gri! it was clear to me that the woman in the back with glasses definitely dealt the damage and to be honest she looked to be pleased with herself! anyway we carried on with our order and next thing a dog (which shouldnt be allowed in anyway) was licking and spitting on my leg, i didnt mind it to start off with but the dog was just getting too confident for my liking, If the owner is reading ghis i apologise for my actions of screaming "F off Ya mut" too your dog, as i did feel guilty after whitnessing him quiver with anxiety, the ice cream for that matter - Lush. A bit quirky, favoured by locals. Coffee very good and cake is lovely. Some tables on the street. Dog water available and also frozen doggy ices.

I visited here for the 1st time with my partner, we made the journey especially to visit the shop. Having never been here we followed people inside the shop and weren't aware that the que is usually outdoor until the lady behind the counter began to loudly complain about the fact people were standing inside saying she'd never seen it before and shaking her head looking bewildered, I found it so rude as the comments kept coming from her and it made me and a couple of others in the que feel uncomfortable. The ice cream was nice and the other staff seemed pleasant even though completely rushed off their feet. I just don't understand why you would make your customers feel guilty for standing inside if you want them outside then politely ask or put a sign up. Im not saying don't go most people love it here you can tell by the amount of customers they had this is just my personal experience.

Chaplin's egg and bacon baps are delicious. Love this cafe for its home cooking and friendliness. It's part of the local community and has heart and soul.

Chips were fresh but the mrs went for ice cream was expensive but lots of choice. Staff were hepfull but clearly bored and this is just the start of the season. Closed at 4pm even though lots of people were asking for food so clearly dont need the money!!! Maybe thats due to some quirky prices ie some things great value and others posh nosh prices in a hotel

Love this little cafe......the owner works so hard and the food is great. I had pulled pork bap, with chips and salad........there was loads of meat and it was so tasty, the chips were shared by us both.......everything is cooked freshly and staff are fantastic.

I am outraged and disgusted by the side of the portion at cajoling I payed £2.95 for chops and the size was terrible not a happy customer!

Lovely food, lovely owners, small but a great atmosphere. We were welcomed in with 3 big dogs (was a tight fit). The owners were very kind to them, gave them biscuits and the other customers enjoyed them too. We stopped for pannini's which were excellent's. Lovely atmosphere

Eaten at Chaplin's many times this year, recommend you choose from the specials, lovely food and all home made, staff polite and attentive, will return many times, open all year round.

I was visiting my family in rhosneigr and came here for some food. The woman serving was instantly rude and continued to be rude the whole time she was serving. As my children were looking at milkshake flavours she huffed and puffed resulting in my children having to rush and not getting the flavours they wanted. The woman in question could certainly do with lessons in customer service. I felt she may have been rude due to my family being local so felt she didnt need to put in as much effort. She then told me the price and spoke in welsh which i did not understand and had to try and look at the till to see the price. I will not be returning to this place and i doubt my family will either. I remember this place when i was child was so good and i wanted to show my children and we were all left dissapointed

The title says it all! I return here year after year just for the ice cream. Proper old fashioned, it doesn't turn to liquid within seconds like most. They have some fantastic flavours. I particularly love the banana and the rum & raisin, in a tub, but there are so many choices. Heaven!

Full Welsh breakfast, mostly well cooked & tasty, sausages tasted previously cooked & re- heated. Friendly staff, reasonable value for money.

A good selection of snacks, basics like pie and chips, pancakes also available - from a basic sugar and lemon to a decadent pancake with Ferrero Rocher - yum. They do a delicious hot chocolate with all the trimmings, good coffee and the best selection of delicious ice creams. Well worth a visit. Some tables outside and a water bowl outside for the four legged friends.

We went a few times during our week in Rhosneigr. We called in for Ice creams and had takeaway sandwiches too. The staff were friendly and helpful, gave us water and treats for our dog. They were happy for us to sit inside with our dog. The freshly made banquettes were lovely, generously filled and the salad very fresh. Happy to recommend

As I holiday on Anglsey the past few times I have came here before it was renovated it was Lovley, it was rather expensive them but only at £2 for a mr wippy, I came here and they charged me nearly 5£ for an mr snippy ice cream! Ridiculous

Stoped for a quick sandwich and wasn't disappointed. Steak baguette was really nice and very friendly staff. Very popular. People in and out all the time we was there.

After a holiday week in Puerto Banus which included sampling the various ice cream sellers we must tell the folks in Rhosneigr that Johns ice cream gets our vote for quality and taste. Steve

We stopped here for a lovely light lunch last weekend, after walking into Rhosneigr. We sat out in the sun and the waitress was prompt, helpful and charming, even providing a treat for the dog. We had one of the homemade soups (butternut squash and cumin; top notch) and an excellent (also homemade, and huge) burger, with side salad and chips. We then finished with an ice cream each, also very good, with a wide selection.

This is the only ice-cream parlour in Rhosneigr and whilst it is pleasant enough and reasonable value (1 scoop is plenty!) I was surprised by the limited number of flavours compared to other establishments I have visited. You can sit inside or outside (weather allowing) and as well as ice cream there is a range of snack meals (e.g toasties, panninis etc) and drinks which again you can eat in or take away. We were the only customers when we went so the limited seating was no problem but I imagine it gets quite busy in peak season.

Called in for a drink , and just had to try the pancakes and ice cream . All lovely, and also the hot chocolate too. Nice little place , with friendly staff.

Visited with family while down on holiday.

We were having a lovely cup of coffee made perfectly by a young waitress. When she was verbally abused (by I assume her boss) in front of the whole shop. I have never been so completely taken aback by the complete and utter unprofessionalism. I know there’s another room where he could have taken her aside to have a chat, but doing it in front of the whole shop is very very poor. What a bully of a man. Completely ruined our coffee and our whole experience!! Will not be coming back and I advise everyone else to not go there. Absolutely no respect for his hard working staff.

The best ice cream I have ever tasted. Locals and visitors to the place were buying icecream here. Not one person passed without buying an icecream as I sat eating mine and people watching for an hour.

We just called in for Ice Creams to take away, they were lovely & staff were very friendly, even had a choice of sauces & toppings. Good choice of coffees too. Didn’t have any other food so can’t comment on that

The two staff serving/cooking/owning ? the cafe etc were so welcoming to us and especially our dog. The food is very obviously home-made and very, very tasty. Perfect for a cold Winter/Spring day. Nothing was too much trouble. So nice to get good food, cosy atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend this to others.

This place is spot on, lovely friendly staff, dog friendly and serves a nice breakfast and cappuccino, as well as having a good lunch menu. Just around the corner from the beach - so perfect!
