Food is lovely and excellent value for money. The bang bang cauliflower is the best. I would like some new Asian dishes added to the menu rather than more loaded fries. Would highly recommend.

Food is great and tasty, portion sizes small. Food is expensive for what it is you can eat out at great restaurants in nottingham for same price as this takeaway. Only worth getting if there is an offer available.

Nice food but hugely overpriced. We had a takeaway for three and it came to about £65. I would consider eating there again if it was cheaper

Food portions were usual. Ordered Korean burger and fries Pork belly with broccoli, rice and bbq sauce Katsu curry loaded fries Curry was quite bland Pork belly turned up with no broccoli and not much sauce at all. (There is an option of extra sauce at £2) for a dish that was £13.50 already! Korean burger was bland with no spice at all. Pork belly and rice were cooked amazingly and tasted lovely. Don’t think we are going here again. Shame really. I also don’t think the owners really care either. Save your money and stick with what you know.

Love the vegan options they have. Very tasty and portion sizes are good. Nicer than other takeaways which can often be greasy. These meals taste fresh and healthier.

Similar to the now closed Arnold site, I was hoping the quantity and quality to be better. It isn’t. Small portions, quality from dish to dish differed massively. Spoke to a manager who said HQ set the portion sizes. I was hoping for a revive but this brand has lost its way. This used to be an amazing takeaway - it’s gone downhill

Really good food with a great service. I wasn’t sure of what I wanted but I knew I wanted something fairly healthy so I was recommended the teriyaki chicken donburi… great dish with great flavours and even better that I don’t feel guilty about it. Will definitely be coming back!

Walked down from travelodge for some dinner, kind of glad the chippy was closed as it meant finding this place. Great choice of vegan, loved the spicy cauliflower creation. Hoping to be passing again to try more of the menu

Very disappointing. We ordered for the first time and I really regret it. We had chicken pad thai, which was very bland, and It was the worst I ever had. Crispy teryaki beef was rock hard, and the sauce which came in additional container was burnt. Unfortunately not going back, there are better places to eat for the price.

Ordered from here numerous times before and really enjoyed it but tonight i didnt,came early 👍 arancini balls were lovely,ordered teryaki beef which comes with rice but previously didnt so gave you the option of ordering noodles instead,it came with the rice and ontop was clumps of dry,rock hard deep fried beef with no flavour on and in a seperate container was the teryaki flavouring,it was nothing like advertised or shown on the picture,very dissapointed

Ordered food to be delivered for 6:45-7:00 pm. Called at 7:10 to asked where the food was and was told it would be 1 minute. Called again at 7:25 and then told they couldn’t get the drivers. Paying £3 delivery this was a poor reply and a total lie. Eventually food turned up at 7:30 and was tepid. Disgusting service and poor customer service over the phone. Will NEVER use again.

We ordered for the first time last week. Delivery stated one hours wait but it arrived in 30 minutes, which was great especially on a busy Saturday evening. We had the Crispy Duck, Beef Teriyaki, Chow Mien and the Belly Pork Bao Buns. All food arrived hot and tasty. And it was nice to try something new and different from the average Chinese takeaway. 10/10

Ordered for the first time tonight. Read the reviews on here and other sites and opted for Malaysian street food curry chicken. Very tasty and hot (in temperature). The chicken was lovely and tender. A very nice dish. I couldn't resist getting the Korean chicken wings. Wow, delicious. They were spicy but very nice. Also tried the bang bang cauliflower which again was very tasty with a crunchy taste. All in all a good experience. A little expensive maybe but you get what you pay for. paid nearly £10 for fish and chips the other day and they were rank. Will definitely be ordering again and trying other items. For me they were large enough portions so sharing a selection would be good. The staff also seemed friendly when I collected. I had ordered online and it was ready on time. Not had anything delivered yet so can't comment on that.Thanks.

Extremely disappointed, we had been excited to try this and thought it’d be nice to have it delivered for my partners birthday so placed order at 8:25pm and received confirmation however by 9:30 still hadnt received order despite tracking app saying it had been delivered, called up the store to be told it will be looked into received a call back saying it had been handed over but that it would be looked into again. Called at 9:55 to find out what was going on only to be told no food will be delivered today and they need to check with the driver what had happened which would be tomorrow as they weren’t responding to communications. Only when told it wasn’t good enough as it was now 10pm at night and still no food that a refund was offered which still didn’t solve the problem! Once refund details had been taken it was then said it could take up to 7 days to be processed, whilst on the call could hear people kicking off on the back ground and I did feel for the girl on the phone but it left us at 10pm at night with no food and no money back in and ruined our night. I understand things happen and once it leaves the kitchen it is outside of their control but really not impressed.

I've had takeaway from here twice. The first time the food was good (apart from burnt teriyaki chicken) so we tried it for my anniversary last evening. To start we had Korean wings (4 wings for £6!), Which were nice, very boring, dry BBQ ribs, and the steamed pork buns. The pork buns were dry and mine had a tiny bit of pork pertruding from the top, like a Tesco sandwich, once I'd taken my first bite I was left with nothing but bun. We had the green curry and maylasian curry as mains, both came completely dry! Literally no sauce. It was almost like they fried the ingredients in the paste and forgot the coconut milk. The green curry paste didn't taste like it had any shrimp paste in it. First time was a 4 but last night, given the price, was a 1. Won't be going back.

First time here and we are local so have been meaning to try Chao Chao since it opened. We ordered via the app and collected. Bang Bang Cauliflower is delicious as are the bao buns! I would like to order noodles next time. Me and my husband both felt really satisfied after and not absolutely stuffed which is due to the food here being relatively healthy and not swimming in grease! Also enjoyed the recyclable packaging!

In support of a new local business we ordered three main meals and a selection of starters. First impressions of the presentations were good - attractive recyclable packaging. Unfortunately you don't eat packaging - but it might have been better to have done so. Salads in the boxes were fresh, unadulterated, but bland. Its seems incongruous to pack salads in the same boxes immediately next to what should have been hot food. The centre piece of each meal, the meat was without exception AWFUL. Totally overcooked in every case. Also, its difficult to understand why any dish was attributed to a particular national identity. They all lacked discernible taste, were dry and characterless

We had a £5 off voucher for here come through our door as it is a newly open take away. We ordered last night, tried to do it on line but failed so phoned them. Chap was very helpful and took our order which he said would be ready in 15 minutes. It was interestingly packaged up and was absolutely delicious. We had crispy chilli beef which was quite hot, sweet and sour chicken with rice, chow mein with chicken and schezuan rice which again was spicy. It is more expensive than our usual take away so whilst I'll give this top marks for service and good, we'll only use it on special occasions. But would certainly recommend them

First time for a takeaway from here, fantastic flavours and will definitely be ordering again. Portions generous and piping hot, highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious. Taste was unreal! Can’t wait to order again!
