Ordered a Chinese from holiday inn absolutely apauling no wonder they don't take card or on just eat as you can claim money back the chicken fried rice was diced fridge pack chicken from a packet never had this before anywhere always been proper chicken avoid at all cost

We love a takeaway from Chan’s, it is the best Chinese takeaway place in Kettering. All dishes we have tried have been authentic and tasty. We have tried the mushroom curry, egg fried rice, beef and ginger dish, prawn toast and all were delicious!

Absolutely rank Worst chips ever tasteless horrible colour , horrible smell must cook all sorts in that oil!

Friday 3rd June 2022, ordered takeout for 4 people and chose set meal 4b from the takeout menu. Phoned the order through and collected it from Brambleside for 17.00 hrs. On arrival all seemed fine and we paid up £43.50 for our order and made our way back home. Serving up the food it smelled great and looked delicious. We sat down to eat, and the flavours from the sauces from our various dishes all seemed to be the same taste. So after a while I noted my daughters and my wife had stopped eating, I asked why they had stopped and were they finished and all came back with the sauce used in the dishes was the same so they had had enough and was done. I felt the same and decided I was also finished eating my meal. All in all the food was fresh and was well presented, shame that we all had the same opinion on the dishes and flavours. Would we order again probably not, especially ordering a set menu meal. The one off yung chow fried rice and side dish would have been good but as a set menu meal I was not satisfied with what I paid and the opinion of the family was reciprocated.

Found 4 hairs in our takeaway and got called liars and that I pulled them from my own head!? They said they are calling the police on us because they gave us their hairy food so yeah if you want nasty food then waste your money here

We ordered a Chinese for our dinner . We ordered from here before and everything was fine . We got food tonight we found 4 hairs and they tried saying I pulled them out of my own head why would I even do that I work and my partner works why would we do that just to get money back they was shouting at us using disgusting language and honestly I would never go there again we didn’t even get an apology I have blonde hair and my partner has short dark brown hair and they still tried blaming me when you can clearly see they are long black hairs and then chucked our food away after refusing refund and saying they will call the police but they was shouting at us and we was just upset that we had spent that money to get no food and no money back !!!

My daughter and her boyfriend ordered a takeaway from Chans tonight and on receiving the food there was four black hairs in the food!! My daughters boyfriend rang Chans and they asked for a photo of the hairs!! Which my daughter sent!! Then CHANS ask for the food to be brought back to them!! When my daughter and boyfriend took the food my Chans then accused my daughter of putting the hairs in the food, even though the hair was dark and my daughter is blonde!! Chans shouted at my daughter and became very threatening towards them and then they took the food and put it in the bin!! Refused to give a refund!! Then tooled them if them didn’t leave they would call the police!! 1/ I will be contacting environmental health as clearly the hygiene is not of a good standard!! 2/ customer services appalling!! 3/ Clearly they are not following food hygiene practices I would not eat at this takeaway as after my daughters experience you don’t know what extras you are getting in your food!!

I ordered over the phone for a pick-up in half an hour. The friendly lady on the other end was speedy and helpful. When I turned up, there were lots of coronavirus safety measures in place. My food was with me five minutes later – freshly made and piping hot. When I got home, I discovered just how tasty it all was. And there was lots of it – the portions are very generous. The mushroom foo yung was superb, the lemon chicken was excellent, and the boiled rice was perfect.The prices are very good too – we’ll definitely be ordering again.

My partner and I order from Chans probably too often! We have tried every chinese in kettering at some stage and always loop back to chans. Best salt n chilli chicken going. Their curry flavouring is spot on and we have never had a mistaken order, ill prepared food or really any complaints at all. Delivery drivers are chatty and friendly and the front of house staff are polite. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it has been going since before I moved to kettering 18 years ago and has been my family go to takeaway since 2002.

Friendly staff didn't have to wait long for order everything was well cooked enjoyed by all will certainly use again

Ordered 3 dishes and a couple of sides, was all bulked out with vegetables. A common trick were takeaways replace high value contents with cheaper vegetables. It came to £25 and wasn’t even worth it. We will avoid now and I suggest you do too.

I have used this place since it first opened, always been quite good. Haven't ordered for about a year, what awful food. Had the dinner for one, and threw it all in the bin. The worst takeaway I have ever had. Disgusting beef, or whatever it was, horrible chicken balls. Never again. You should be ashamed of yourself.

took list of what we required into the takeaway. Very quick to fulfill the order. No wonder, when we got home three items were missing. Rang up to complain and were asked to go back in, which we promptly did. Had to bloody pay again as they didnt believe us. What a rip off, steer clear, curries are disgusting.

Took nearly 2 1/2 hours for food to arrive, rang numerous times and was told it’s on its way it’ll be with us in a few minutes and it wasn’t. Food finally arrived but cold so had to microwave everything! Do not recommend and will not be using again!

Saturday treat for family! Inside hasn't changed since place opened! Typical Chinese take away decor! Food order taken and after a short wait, the food arrived! Everybody enjoyed it and very tasty!

If you want good value and tasty food then this is a Chinese take-away I would recommend. They will also deliver.

We ordered over the phone for a pick up delivery,we asked them to go back over the order 3 times each time correcting them on the same dish,dry shredded crispy chilli beef, not salt and pepper beef,finally after asking to repeat back they said yes we have got that(took that to be just difference in language barrier) £27:50 no problem.When my husband opened the bag wrong dish so no problem chilli beef try something new,no rice missed off of order,chicken hong style was strips of like warm we think it was chicken not sure,ribs looked pink and uncooked,all the children went nope we are ok and promptly got up and went upstairs! I looked at my husband and I phoned up,this order is wrong! dry shredded crispy chilli beef is not how you have served this it is inedible,no rice for any of the dishes,ribs are pink lumps of uncooked meat,and the Hong Kong style chicken looks and smells wrong! We all felt ill.Chans would only give refund on 2 dishes and said your problem for the rest,and if you do not like I will call the police!We collected our £10 and we threw the meal in bin!! Stay away from here! If you have to suffer the chinese open up every pot and try in store!! As they said when you walk out the door it’s your problem!! You don’t like we call the police!! That’s all they kept saying repeatedly over the phone.meaning I think they have had this problem before!Disgusting service the food was cold,and the food was rancid!When phoned to say order missing and wrong dishes got threatened by the police!Food went in the bin!!! Stay away from Brambleside Chinese as it has definitely changed owners!

Ordered a take away. It was delivered 30 minutes later by a very pleasant young man. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious. Would I order from here again! I certainly would!

I have always thought this takeaway as the best in town and I am never disappointed they always deliver quality food at a great price. This is a takeaway outlet not a restaurant but it constantly keeps its 5 rating and the only establishment I use

I haven't used this place for a while, as we moved house, but it must have changed hands. This used to be an amazing place, 5 star. The prawn toast was weird and the main course was actually inedible, it tasted like neat vinegar. We threw it away. I rang the restaurant, and was offered free meals, but it is highly unlikely we will ever return. The manager seemed unconvinced that the bought in sauces they are now using might be off/bad/terrible, and wouldn't taste them to confirm my remarks. Disappointing.
