Chan's in Manchester

The food here is wonderful and their prices are very reasonable and much cheaper than some other places I've looked at. It always arrives very quickly and is still hot. I have been ordering food from here now for years and have never had an issue. I would like to recommend the crispy duck which is always juicy and isn't full of fat. It's cooked perfectly. The Vermicelli is also very nice, as is the Sesame Prawn on Toast. My ultimate favourite though is the beef, black bean sauce with fried rice. Their ribs are very tender and juicy, my aunt refuses to eat ribs from any other shop. Oh and try their Chinese curry sauce, it's very good. If you want any changes made to your meal they will happily oblige, I always ask for my dishes to be extra spicy and Chan's never disappoints. Thank You Chan's

Food was absolutley awful bbq spare ribs tasted of sausages the bbq sauce was like water and tasteless also the bbq ribs had been chopped up into 5 small pieces barley any meat on them either and got charged £8 for very small portion also had fried rice which was terrible no taste and very bland altogether the food was a waste of money over half of it went in the bin apart from being expensive as was charged £19.40 for bbq ribs and fried rice and 1 small fried rice prices here are terrible and food quality and portions very poor shame really as this place use to do lovely food at reasonable prices,not anymore unfortunatley, will never use this place again very disappointing!!

This is our local chinese takeaway. It's brilliant, effective, quick and damn they do a good beef in black bean sauce. I'd recommend this to familys for friday/saturday takeaway. They have a loyal customer in me.

this is our regular as it's close by, the foods amazing, delivery or collection it's always done on time. staff are absolutely lovely will continue to return & always recommend

i love this place. i order practically once a week. the food is ALWAYS great and delivery is always on time sometimes even super early which is always nice. their create your own dishes makes them a cut above the rest!

Salt and pepper chicken was dry and rubbery

Food was cold, pies were to hard to even eat and the salt and pepper chicken was like rubber. Would never order again

Belting service, absolutely rapid and great food, best Chinese I've had in Manchester. The only criticism I have is that the friend rice I ordered came with a single prawn in it which is a bit less than usual. None the less, excellent takeaway

Food is not what I expected to be. Rice sinked in gravy threw it away in the bin straight away. Don't be expecting to order from here again plus the prices are really high.

Food was really salty and the person who delivered was really rude. Salt & Pepper chicken I didn't even bother eating because it tasted like flour and had no other flavour.

This was one of (if not thee) best takeaways I've ever ordered. It's very rare that I can even say I'm vaguely satisfied with takeaway normally but this was delicious. Duck was cooked well and actual meat as opposed to a load of fat which some places offer, the chicken dish and vermicelli was great as well. Whoever is the chef on wednesday nights, hats off to you! Very quick delivery too, much obliged Chans, perfect all round.

Rude delivery driver, and the spare ribs were off! Sweet and sour pork and fried rice were nice though.

Food was 30 minutes late. No apology. Had to contact justeat. Not good. On arrival the sweet and sour veg was mainly sauce. Hardly any veg in chow mein

We have used Chan's Takeaway for Chinese for years. We are never disappointed.

I know they're many Chinese takeaways in Manchester, but by far this is my favourite. Good food, big portions, quick delivery. Only down side is a delivery charge, but it's worth it. Loyal Chans customer, never had a disappointing takeaway or had a driver that takes too long to come. Pleasure to do business. Recommend to anyone looking for a Chinese in the south Manchester area!

Food was tasteless. Never been here be4 won't be going back. No vegetables and the sweet and sour pork balls. Salt and pepper ribs I like barbecue ribs with onions on! Chicken and sweet 🌽 soup tinned! It is cheeper to make fresh!

We have many takeaways delivered door to door. We live on the 3rd floor and have a lift service. This driver asked 3 times for us to come down and collect the order. My daughter had to go and find him even though we gave clear instructions He told her not to order from this restaurant again unless we came to the main gate. We have never had this problem before with any other Just Eat takeaway. If you provide delivery service then you should be prepared to deliver door to door and not pick and choose. Will not be using this service again.

Good evening guys!! Hope you've all had a great weekend, I know I did. I decided to finish it off with a takeaway from "chans" and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The salt and pepper chips were super but the 6 items of salt and pepper was a little bit TOO much salt and pepper (if you know what I mean- and I think you do!) got some free spring rolls which was nice of them. Got the food tonight a lot off it gone in bin chick was very hard chip were well over cook last time I order from this place had to order food a other takeaway because was that bad place should be shout down

The food was excellent with lots of flavour. I have to say the hot and sour soup is delicious and the containers are filled to the brim. I would strongly recommend Chans to friends and family. Enjoy!!!

The food was awful. Ribs were generic and bland. Soup was average. The chow mein was the worst i have ever been served. It was in edible. Tasted of stale oil, it was nasty. I will never order from this place again it was rubbish. Hard to describe how bad the chow mein was.....

The chicken balls were really dry so we're the chilli salt ribs unfortunately. The Singapore vermicelli was delicious so was the chicken fried rice. The driver phoned saying he was outside so went downstairs to collect it and he wasn't; so had to wait outside in the cold for him... overall a mediocre takeaway experience

Ruined my meal because the driver spilt my sauce over my meal, the even though they knew my food was ruined they still didn't refund my whole meal

Lovely food and delivered on time

The crispy shredded chilli beef, plain noodles and crab meat & sweetcorn soup were good. The vegetable spring rolls and free mini vegetable spring rolls were good (they have different fillings). The egg fried rice was decent, normal egg fried rice. The mixed vegetable curry was unpleasant. The mixed vegetable soup was strange but not unpleasant. The food arrived about the same time they said it would. The driver didn't even step out of his car to hand over the food.

Food was awful. Wouldn't order from there again. Chips were way too overfried and hard and were very bland. Supposed to be salt and pepper chips. How they could even send them out like that is beyond me. The salt and pepper chicken was rubbish. Dry, hard and bland. And chicken pieces were too small. More like shredded crispy chicken. The salt and pepper king prawns were rubbish. The batter was just soggy not crispy at all and bland. Prawns didn't seem the best quality either. Really quite small. The egg fried rice and noodles was average and bland. The prawn crackers were alright but that's hardly a consolation. Delivery time was very good but not much point in getting your food fast when it doesn't taste great. There are much better ones on here than Chan's. Sorry to sound harsh but this is the truth.

Not sure if the chef changes on certain days but this meal was definitely not as good as when we order on a weekend! Honey chilli chicken tasted just like a sweet and sour - not like the last time at all. Salt n pepper chicken also not as spicy or tasty. Shame about the consistency of food...

Food was tasteless. Spring rolls was soaked in oil. I called the restaurant to demand a refund. Mr.chan hanged up and said food is been made i cant take it back. I called him again to let him know i was allergic to nuts if he could pls swap the plate for something else. I got similar response. Food is been made and we cant do nothing about it. Had to waste the food as i didnt want to risk having an allergic reaction. Poor customer service. Will never use Just eat again and certainly not going back to chans.

The special fried rice was really nice, crispy spring rolls were well seasoned and the banana fritters were lovely. Asked for a spoon and soy sauce, didn't get them, but I did get a free pack of prawn crackers which was great!
