It's been our first visit to Dosa express, The experience was very excellent, We had varieties of Dosa and the Flavored chutney's were so good. I would recommend all varieties of Dosa.....

Asked the waiter if the V on the menu stood for vegan, was told yes, ordered an item and it came with yoghurt all over. My coconut dosa had a scoop full of dried coconut in, was awful. 2 stars as my partners’ potato dosa was nice and the sauces they came with were good.

Had the jalfrezi and mysore masala dosa. Were brillaint. Good service and good vibe as well

The food is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the chicken fried rice, Masala dish’s and my personal favourite paneer butter masala...

Taste is so delicious here and i have been here before and it’s one of my favourite restaurant, staff are very friendly, well recommended place.

The dosa's today were not crispy as normal and I found them very oily. Their kitchen extractor was not functioning as the cooking fumes were feeding into the restaurant to the extend we had to leave the front door open to let fresh air in! There is an extra £2 service added to the end bill that you have to settle in cash only! Overall, a poor meal in a basic environment - nothing to get excited over 😭

This is my favourite dosa in Manchester!! Mysore Masala Dosa is the best. Absolutely amazing for such a good price. Delicious. Have been many times now. And will be back. Perfect for veggies and vegans and all!

If you are looking for fine dining: not the place. Cash only: Do not like this On weekend They can have more people serving but only 2 of them . They were good but it was very busy for them Food : Authentic taste,liked it. Taste of food is only good thing at Dosa Express. Rest is very average. They need to work on changing their cutlery. They serve in worn out plastic plates. One can see all scratch marks on cutlery. They forgot our masala dosa and brought plane Dosa and in asking they just handed over us the masala,well who does that. They should have brought back the proper order. Prices are good.

We received 2 expired bottles of Diet Pepsi through a Deliveroo order (expired Jan 2024 and Dec 2023 respectively). Appalling how a restaurant can so shamelessly flout food and safety standards.

Never thought I'd be compelled to write this review but I have never seen such display of pathetic service. We arrived near the closing time and had confirmed on call before to be sure it won't be an issue. Sat at an available table since there was no one at the reception to greet ( even after waiting for a few minutes) and the restaurant was all empty. The waiting staff asked us to sit elsewhere and when I think of it now, I cannot understand the logic. Anyway, once we ordered and were served, we were given our bill mid-way since the restaurant was closing. We had no issues at first but asked if we could return a can of drink we didn't even use. The server was so adamant about not changing the bill since it was already issued (still cannot understand the logic). Next we asked him that we saw a deal on their instagram page about a discount and would like to avail it, the server declined and said that he cannot do it once the bill is issued. It was so rude given that we didn't ask the bill ourselves and was straight away handed to us. How could've we anticipated the timing of the bill and informed him in advance? Additionally, we asked several times to lower the volume of the speaker but no action was taken. Again, we were the only customers so I cannot even imagine if it was because of rush hours. If you cannot take in more customers, why do you even agree on allowing them to be served during the closing time? We could've gone elsewhere and had a good time at dinner rather than experiencing such arrogant service!

Rude customer service. You can't even trust 5 star reviews here because they offer 10% discount to customers on putting a review. There are plenty other options nearby. I won't recommend this restaurant.

I had absolutely horrific experience ordering through this restaurant on the deliveroo app. Before ordering dosas I called the restaurant to confirm if they will replace their spicy chutneys in lieu of non spicy chutneys because my husband is on restricted diet, the person said that to add these notes on the deliveroo app. I told him that there is no option to add the notes, it's only mentioned to call the restraurant directly. He said that there is an option. I placed the order, however I still couldn't find any option to add notes even after placing the order so I called him again, the person said he will not consider this because it is not coming through the app. The person shouted at me on the call saying that it is not his problem and to take it up with the deliveroo app technical team only. I asked him to consider because I am 'stuck'. Never experienced such a horrific experience in the UK, extremely rude, and obviously never ordering from this restaurant again.

was in the area, and decided to drop by and eat-in. the place isnt say, beautiful, but is kept clean and clutter-free; i dont mind that, as often it shows that the place is focusing on food and hygiene, and that they may not have had the time to create a unique atmosphere. however, food is top notch. i often avoid indian food, as it can be quite heavy, causing slightly discomfort for a day or two, but the dosas here were greaseless, crips, and all four sambals that accompanied, are subtly seasoned and delicious. we left with comfortably full bellies, without lethargy or food-coma. a great bonus. would love to come back whenever im in the area. boggles my mind that people would rather go to completely average american style burger places nearby, than this place. thanks for great lunch!

It is a homely place with a relaxing atmosphere. The food is deliciously different, plentiful and reasonably priced. I loved the whole experience. No fancy frills, just good, hearty food served with love.

The place is very dirty and the attitude of the staff especially the chef is very rude..And no food quality whatsoever.It was totally worthless and the service was not good. They should pay attention to their service and food. It is a take away, not a restaurant and there is no such thing as service.

This was a great takeaway, our new favourite. After having spent some time in south India, I can say this is the most authentic place I’ve been to. We had the chilli paneer and masala dosa and onion Bhaji and pano puri and it was all amazing!! Will defo be back again soon 😍

I LOVE this place. Been here a few times and really enjoy the quality of food and variety of South Indian dishes available. I eat at Pakistani cafes in Manchester regularly, don’t like ‘Indian restaurant’ food (cooked by Bengalis and catering for English people). This is AUTHENTIC INDIAN food, not Mickey Mouse stuff. Masala Dosa, Pani Puri, Idli the LOT. Get down here for the authentic taste of South India.

The ambience was good and the staff were friendly. The food was as close to what I can get at my hometown. Their chicken fry was juicy, delicious with all the right flavours. Will definitely come back for the food!

Had a scrumptious lunch, rava dosa and the yummy white fish curry which was Wednesday special. All authentic and delicious with gracious service.

Went here for a family meal. Brilliant atmosphere but most importantly the South Indian food was brilliant. The food was filling, yet light with just the right amount of heat to wake up a few brain cells. Brilliant Vegan meal, I highly recommend!

Excellent Indian veraities of food. Loved the soup, starters like chicken lollies (4 pieces, but awesome) and ordered chicken manchurian and mutton chukka and manchurian, and chicken and mutton kothu and all are great. You must try these Indian items.. Parking is little tidy, but if you order and collect it, you will get offers.. If you are a spicy lover then this is for you..

Food was awful and not fresh. One of the chutney(dip) was rotten. When I called to complain. Receiver hung up on me. Definitely food was not fresh.
