This is my favourite dosa in Manchester!! Mysore Masala Dosa is the best. Absolutely amazing for such a good price. Delicious. Have been many ten times now. And will be back. Perfect for veggies and vegans and all!

Good was not as expected. Seasoning was missing in few items. To my surprise service fee was mandatory. No go for me.

This places atmosphere has never been great, and service has always been poor. But the food was great so we kept returning. Tonight, the food was so horrible, we didn't even eat it! Paneer Chilli was like eating burnt rubber. The dosas took way too long to come, and when it did come, it was undercooked. Sadly we will no longer be returning on a regular basis.

We really enjoyed the food here, and I would recommend going. It was very well priced, and everything was delicious. Unfortunately I had to give a low service rating as the toilet was extremely dirty, and that’s a kind description. I also had to chase up drinks, and cutlery.

This is one of my favourite places. The dosa is consistently the best the flavours are incredible. Dahi Puri, chana chaat, masala dosa..you can order anything and it will be fantastic but I always get those as a starting point. GO!

Dosa didn't taste authentic. Tomato and mint chutney tasted fridged. Sambar didn't taste like sambar and made without lentils. Coconut chutney wasn't fresh and tasted like it was made from dessicated coconut rather than fresh grated coconut.

From a South Indian having tasted dosa from a gazillion places, I can say with confidence this place serves quality Dosa. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Sambar - spice level was just about perfect, tasted very fresh. The dosa was a bit too crispy for my liking but can’t complain as it tasted authentic. All chutneys tasted good. Close to the quality you get back home. I would recommend and come back again.

Delicious food with friendly people

We visited this place for dinner and had ordered a Paper Dosa and Koothu Porotta. Both dishes were quite nice—crispy, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, the sambar didn’t quite hit the mark for us; it lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. Overall, it was a decent experience, and with a little improvement in the sambar, it could be even better!

Excellent & authentic! We were looking for a small Indian restaurant for lunch with family.. we came across Dosa Express and it was perfect! The flavors reminded me of the Dosa I ate in India. Prices very affordable. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a perfect South Indian feast with family, this restaurant is a must-visit! We had an amazing time enjoying some of the most authentic dishes. The Chicken Masala Dosa was crispy and flavorful, with the chicken masala perfectly spiced. Even the kids loved it! The Mutton Chukka was the highlight – so authentic, it took us straight to the streets of Madurai! The rich flavors and tender mutton were unforgettable, and the kids enjoyed it very much. The Biriyani was aromatic and full of taste, paired wonderfully with the Kal Dosa, which was very good and complemented the dishes perfectly. The ambiance adds an extra charm to the dining experience. The walls are adorned with stunning waterfall-themed wallpaper, making the atmosphere feel refreshing and serene, almost like dining amidst nature. Combined with soft lighting and calm surroundings, it sets a perfect mood for a relaxed family outing. If you love authentic South Indian flavors and enjoy a peaceful setting inspired by nature, this spot won’t disappoint!

We were searching for a perfect South Indian restaurant & no surprise we found this one!!! Waaaaahhhh they r really friendly in welcoming staffs, food was served very fastly & time to time. Me & my husband ordered Fried rice with chilli chicken, Masala dosa & strawberry flute 🥰the taste was fabulous!!! Must visit restaurant who r craving for Indian cuisine.

I am a regular here and the food is always incredible! Every dish I have tried has been so tasty and the price is so reasonable! The classic masala dosa is a go to that never disappoints - but I am yet to have something that does! Highly recommend this place!

If you are in Manchester, Dosa Express is a must visit. Authentic test and yet very reasonable rates. You should have Onion Uttapam which is super delicious. They also have lovely Dosa Meal Deal which offers you all south indian varieties in one plate. Worth visiting place..

Ordered a lot of food on a suggestion by a friend on deliveroo but was very disappointed the Noodles were soggy and bland felt like I was eating something prepared couple of days ago. The gobi Manchurian which usually is okay was too dry without flavour. The onion bhajee was too salty and chicken kothuparotha was okay but again the lack of flavour was disappointing. The curries tasted the same there was no difference between the two. I called the restaurant to enquire about it but there was no response hence I felt the need to post the review. hopefully they rectify this and get back to serving the tasty food they are known for.

We ordered masala dosa and fish tawa fry. Dosa was ok but coconut chutney gave the flavour of desiccated coconut.Chutneys were really bad. And fish tawa fry was cold and bland no flavour at all.Expected a good meal but it was not 👎

Inattentive staff. Didn’t tell even get looked at until 10 mins of walking in. Waited for waiter at the till myself to be told that it’s cash only. Whilst waiting saw the state of the kitchen and now I am glad I didn’t eat anything there

Had a great evening here at Dosa Xpress. Ashish helped in choosing best food and very polite. Everything was good, Except some issues at the end. The guys from my next table makes some issues ( threatening the service guy ) with the service boy Ashish.

I went with my man yesterday for the lunch. The ambiance was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food is also great. Highly recommend the chicken kottu. The only issue is we can only pay by cash.

Great food - the masala dosa was brilliant, as was the sambhar idli. Enjoyed the chilli paneer and the gobi manchurian too, would recommend people to go!
