Chameleon in City of London, Westminster

Went for a friends special birthday. Service was appalling from start to finish. Considering it was an extremely hot evening, no water was brought for at least 20mins. Wine was slow to follow and glasses never topped up or asked if we wanted more. The food, well, as the only vegan in the party I had rung up the prior to the evening to check the options. Assured they could make anything vegetarian, vegan. Firstly no bread to go with the vegan dips, secondly, the starter was basically lettuce with a bit of dressing, so boring. Having been to Tel Aviv I know how well the food is done there, especially for vegans. The main, although tasty, the cauliflower was black but also rock hard and impossible to cut. Didn’t bother with dessert. The rest of the table were not impressed either, ruined my friends night. Do not recommend, lovely venue but they’ve certainly not got it right, with staff, ambiance or food.

We visited Chameleon on Saturday night for dinner. From start to finish it was fabulous. The service and setting were amazing and the food is out of this world! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough if you’re looking for a special night out!

I was so excited to come here, we had booked into Gods Garden, but a week or so before the booking was changed to the conservatory, no explaination given. Once we arrived we were shown to our 2 person greenhouse, right next to the band, this was cute, and lovely to see them play. Food was great, information on the food fantastic, but in general it really had no atmosphere, kinda sad really as I think it has so much potential.

Everything on point I was amazed with staff really attentive to detail such a great location the management was amazing, communicable and the food definitely was wow speechless really tasty and so on point DEFINITELY COMING BACK SOON❤️

Would totally recommend for the experience. The food was delicious and unique, such flavours. The ambiance fantastic, we were in our own 'conservatory area' so were able to chat without external noises. Staff very friendly and efficient, although the downside was staff constantly coming asking if everything was ok which totally broke conversation. I guess they wanted us to eat up within 2 hours and leave. Such a shame as all four of us were really enjoying our evening. Hope the menu is reviewed regularly otherwise people will bore of the same food, especially as it is very pricey.

My sister and I came here for lunch which was a set menu but everything we had was delicious! The service was warm and welcoming and the little greenhouses are such a novelty, I cannot wait to come back here again, definitely recommend!

If there is one restaurant you have to experience this year - make it this one!! It's for the food - mouth watering flavours; it's for the setting - versatile can work for couples and group; it's service - always with a big smile and nothing is too much work. I don't want to spoil the surprise.... but just to say that I went there with my wife and another couple - both ladies gave it their blessing - with plans to go back there in a week!!! That says it all

The stars of the show here were the dishes, delicious! We loved the individual greenhouses that can cater for couples, small groups, up even larger groups. Each greenhouse amazinhgly decorated, making it feel like sitting in a secret garden, a little mythical. They had individual heaters in each greenhouse to keep you warm and toastie so it's probably amazing in Summer! The service was a little slow (hard to grab someones attention when tucked away in indiviual greenhouses and wine buckets not in the room with you) and our servers guide to share 1 x bread, 3 x starters and 3 x mains for four people seemed not enough and we could have all easily had a starter and main each. It's not cheap but the food and a good alcoholic selection make sit a perfect spot for something different.

Loved this new restaurant in Marylebone! Conveniently close to my office, a little different to the regular restaurant. Food is amazing! Loved the shashimi and the beef carpaccio. The risotto was divine and sea bass equally tasty. Didn’t have the opportunity to peak into the building as had our own little greenhouse, which was ok temperature wise, but a little warmer would have been more comfortable. Looking forward to be back!

Saturday was my second visit for lunch and I saw you've now changed from the large tent, to just the greenhouses - which I loved. We had a guy name Moses (I'm so sorry if I've spelt that wrong) serve us through out.. oh my god, he was absolutely incredible. He was knowledgeable about the menu, funny, positive, and you could just see that he loved his job. The food was incredible (as it was before) but this time I ordered vegetarian options as my friend is a veggie.. I was concerned it wouldn't be as good, but the food was full of flavour, it tasted amazing. We really did have the best time, thank you so much. Please pass a massive thank you to the kitchen team, and our waiter Moses. I've raved about you to so many of my friends, and we'll be back soon!

A pretty place good flavors in the small plates my BF was still hungry. A place for the girls. Live music was nice. I would not return

I wanted to give this restaurant a high rating as the venue was very pretty, the entertainment was great and the food although not out of this world, was tasty. However, the service was TERRIBLE. We arrived as a group of 5 to be told that we had to order everything in one go by our waitress. We were told that the plates were large sharers (and that we had to order in one go and couldn't order more food later if we were still hungry - which unfortunately we were). The plates are not large sharers. The guy that took our wine and cocktail order was lovely - I wish he had also taken our food order. We ordered a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc (NZ) wine and cocktails, later in the evening we ordered another bottle of the wine. 15 minutes later we asked again for the wine and were told they were out of stock and that they only had the French SB available so we said we would go for that. We had to ask another 6 or 7 times over the space of 40 minutes to be told that it was also out of stock and were given a taster of another similar wine which we didn't love but said we would go for. We didn't receive this either and had to ask again for the carafe. Eventually when we got the bill they had charged us for x2 of the bottles we didn't get and the carafe as well. I asked the waitress to remove the bottle we didn't have as well as the service charge since we had spent most of our evening chasing up on our order to which the waitress replied 'perfect' sarcastically - so rude. Again I will reiterate I really wanted to give this a high rating as it has potential to be a great spot but the service really let it down.

We loved the ambience. Excellent service and such tasty delicious food, Can’t wait to go again. We had a lovely heater near us too so we were nice and warm.
