Handover square leon has homeless beggars using it as there living room charging phones looking at what they have stolen all day from Oxford street and having full body washes in bathroom . The atmosphere in there is terrible. Don't go if in london

My first Leon experience today was wonderful. Chicken salad and flat bread. Warm, healthy, affordable. 5*.

Easy ordering system, ample space and music was just the right volume not to be too intrusive. However, coffee could be better and the matcha doesn’t seem to be the ceremonial one, too bland.

I waited too long to buy a snack, and by the time I tried, all staff were busy and didn’t pay attention to me, so I didn’t get any service.

Awful. Ordered the Crunchy Korean Chicken Wrap and it was as tough as old boots, completely dry and and tasteless Thought it was yesterday's reheated tbh. Mocha was nice though.

I recently visited the LEON restaurant at hanover square, and I had an absolutely fantastic experience.The service was quick and friendly.The atmosphere is also very nice , making it a perfect spot for a quick lunch. If you're looking for a healthy alternative to traditional fast food, LEON is an excellent choice! I will definitely be returning!

As a regular customer at this branch, I can give a very precise feedback. Staff are grouchy as f'! No thanks when you receive your order - it's like they're MUTE! Damn, if you don't like your job, quit! Maybe that's why there are always different staff working there...miserable lot! Maybe one guy working there out of the 15 shows any customer service skills whatsoever. Dirty tables as other comments pick up. And the homeless outside who come indoors and take up the seats is a regular occurrence. I've not needed the toilets there, but can definitely imagine they're horrific as per the other comments here. If I didn't work nearby I'D NEVER VISIT THIS LEON...it's a disgrace. Manager needs to get fired!

Quality has really dropped. Chicken burger was smothered in cheap mayo. Flatbread was stale. Hummus had lots of clear vegetable oil on it and barely tasted of chickpeas. Only thing was the new peas and seeds. Also saw four men, including two police officers, sleeping on the chairs right by the entrance.

Feels like they are trying to create a new McDonald's using Lebanese Street Food. In doing so, they have imported, for the most part, the worst of both worlds. The competition are the numerous Falafel street vendors in London who are much better value and invariably cheaper. There are those that will go to a place like this to sit in comfort and to use the WiFi enjoying an environment that feels cleaner than buying on the street: so there are reasons to come here, but not for the food.

Just great .. everyday great <3 Heaty snack like hot haloomi, mushroom balls or nice Sicilian Meat Balls for lunch. Also kind staff even if it's busy as hell during Christmas time

Efficient touch screen ordering. Though queuing up and knowing where to stand is straight-forward but not as noticable. So signs are usually helpful because people are randomly standing waiting for their food after ordering and one counter-till is not open. The portion size is relatively small but the quality of the food is okay. If you're looking for healthier foods option, this is the place. However, if you're looking for food to fill your stomach completely, going to McDonald will be better option if you need higher calorie, portion size. Unfortunately, when it is busy or not. The tables are not cleaned. This is likely due to bad timing since 15 minutes of entering and changing tables, the table was still yet to be cleaned from previous customers. Nevertheless, we moved to another seating area as it was cleaner.

Chicken was pink and undercooked - was not nice had to leave my food as I couldn't eat it. ERGH! Wont be going back...

Always filthy. Someone needs to go round wiping the tables. Very disappointing Leon.

I love Leon in general, can’t fault the food and the service is usually great, but… this particular Leon space needs some TLC (perhaps increase the cleaning frequency!) and there are always a number of loud (perhaps homeless?) men outside, and sometimes sitting inside near the doorway, which is always a bit disconcerting. It’s fine if you find a seat near the other entrance though.

Excellent food, as usual, but the restaurant was extremely dirty. Almost abandoned to himself. Very dirty bathroom, almost like a health emergency.

19:55 hrs 05.12.24 witnessed server preparing food trays with paper and stacking them. Front of counter. She dropped one on the floor. Then continued stacking the trays, picked the dropped one from the floor which also made it into the stack (!).

Considering Leon class themselves as “health conscious” our visit on Saturday couldn’t have been further from that! Two out of the three toilets were blocked and full up with the floors wet from (well you know!) so everyone queuing for the other toilet. Absolutely disgusting. The tables area was covered in leftover food and wrappings on tables and floor, and all the time we were there, with no sign of any of the staff clearing or cleaning. The food was well below average, with the two boxes of chicken nuggets grey and rubbery and the bbq chicken and rice pot barely edible with rubbery chicken and half cooked rice. We won’t be returning and surprised this is allowed to stay open with all these issues.

Nice food but disgusting state of cleanliness.

Choice of food was as good as ever - the golden dhal rice was very tasty. One minor issue- the served food could have been a lot hotter. Really good cup of tes.

I’m going to give this place a very low score because: The general cleanliness was very poor no tables clean & rubbish everywhere. I asked for the grubby table to be cleaned and this was not done very well so I cleaned it myself. The chicken burgers were cold. I asked for a replacement and was offered another cold one or wait 7 mins for a hot one. We had already waited over 10 mins for the cold burgers. Chips/ fries things also cold. Rice dish totally bland and cold. Lastly we were hoping to use the toilet. We had my elderly mother with me. No toilets. I note from previous reviews weeks ago these were broken. Lastly I ordered a large Karma cola and got a medium. Seriously this place is worse than poor. I will not be putting my business towards Leon again.

My partner’s phone was stolen at this store. We were eating at a table near the entrance and a woman entered, appearing to ask for food. She was holding a piece of paper and, unknowing to us, placed it over my partner’s phone on the table. After we gave her food, she left with the paper. We then realised she had also taken the phone. We called the police who promptly arrived. They asked the store for CCTV footage, but were told they couldn’t access it - I do not know why. Furthermore, we spoke to other people who actually witnessed this exact thing happen to someone else in Leon earlier in the week. We both feel extremely let down by the store - this appears to be a recurring problem but there does not appear to be any motivation from the team to help prevent this from happening/ assist with providing CCTV. Personally, we love coming to Leon as the food is great, but we were massively disappointed by this store. Be careful with your belongings if you do come here.

food was pretty expensive so only got a drink but it was lukewarm , it’s okay though the drinks were quite cheap and nice ! service was also ok wish they gave me a straw with my drink , shop seemed clean x

The food was the same as always. Reasonably tasty and decent value. The staff were friendly enough. I've given a 2 because of cleanliness issues. The restaurant area was ok but the toilets were a disgrace. They'd clearly not been cleaned for very many hours. I felt dirtier after I'd washed my hands than before.

Awful service today. We waited far too long for our order. And when we arrived home, we found that part of our order was missing. We have paid too much. The 2 men serving at the front really need to improve.

The only thing I don’t like is the use of non recyclable polystyrene lids on the tea and coffee. They don’t look like traditional polystyrene but the code on the lid tells the truth.

I recently visited Leon - Hanover branch in London on October 10th, 2024, around 8:55 PM. Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant due to the following concerns: Hygiene issues: I noticed one of the staff members scratching his nose and hair while serving my order. His long hair was not covered and was hanging over my food, which raised serious hygiene concerns. Untrained staff: The staff seemed uneducated on basic hygiene practices, which is unacceptable in any food and beverage business. Poor taste: I ordered the fried chicken burger, and it was disappointing. The taste was bland and not enjoyable at all. These points need immediate attention to improve the overall experience for future customers.

Portion size and flavours are just right and price is great too..

I often visited this Leon mostly for Sunday, the food is good full of flavor; music most of the time is good and relaxing with the setting makes a good vibe. The coffee is pretty standard, nothing surprised but do the job. There is one thing to complain about is the toilet. Since we have been visiting for couple of months, we found that they are in purpose to lock 2/3 toilet and leave only 1 in use, there is always a queue especially on lunch time. I didn’t realised until one time there is a lady desperate and asked the staff to open another one. Also, they take turns to open that 1 single toilet every week, which I suspect they are not out of order. Not sure if there is a special reason behind, but it would be nice to improve it.

The food is definitely overrated. I got the chargrilled chicken burger. I had to end up eating it separate as the chicken thigh kept sliding out of the bun. Maybe if they use leaf lettuce instead of salad lettuce it would be better. The fries weren’t hot maybe it had something to do with the lunch rush but the ginger ale lemonade was tasty.

Great stuff and the service is fast. Plenty of space inside and outside too.

I keep coming back for Leon’s vanilla matcha latte. Apart from the reasonable price, they’re better tasting than most matcha lattes I have tried in expensive cafes.

10 minute wait for takeaway wrap and chips. Others that arrived later were served quicker. They forgot to put sauce in the bag but I’d already left so didn’t go back. Dried out cardboard texture chips. Wrap was fine.

I ordered a simple warp , it took 25 minutes to have it. The staff seemed tired of this job/place , so no surprise they are that slow. In the end the warp wasnt even good...

Love to eat Leon and seek them out wherever I go, so when commuting home recently I travelled to the Hanover Sq branch. Bright and airy, BUT a long wait for food, hot drink had gone cold. Poor Assistant was so embarrassed he kept going into the kitchen to see what the hold up was, but I was given no reason and had to drink my coffee while I waited. Agree with an earlier review that other staff seemed to be wandering around, including kitchen staff. Manager was on her phone and laptop the whole time at the front counter. Food when it came was tasty but lukewarm and chips were soggy. Disappointing visit 😕

Good seating area, but there was HUGE drilling noises.

I recently visited this place for the first time and me tell you, the menu was impressive! they had many options for food and drinks, but what really blew me away was the amazing service from the staff, esp SAM. The staffs were on top of it! they were super attentive and friendly plus, they had great recommendations for what to order. Overall, I can confidently say that this cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable food causal experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Their chicken burgers are grim. Slimy chicken which is chewy terrible texture. And the flavour of the toppings is disgusting. Like nobody has tasted or cared for this food. Avoid.

Avoid. You'd be better off walking another minute and going to McDonalds. Tastier and half the price. Food is horrible. Probably everything is made off site and then just keep warm for hours and hours. 0 atmosphere.

I went for the first time a few days ago. I was expecting a different chain, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are many healthy and different options on the menu. Very spacious place and quick service. Excellent food, I tried rice and truffle meatballs, followed by chicken with hazelnut and almond curry sauce, with fried potatoes as a side dish. All very good, recommended!

Only getting stars for the atmosphere and quick service. The food was terrible, ordered a grilled chilli chicken rice box and it was just slathered in mayonnaise (or similar) with a pot of chilli dip on the side. It was food i suppose that's all I can say about it, oh and eating with wooden utensils.

I ordered take away Grilled Halloumi WWrap. First time here but better than I expected. Easy to order and the waiting time is short. Quite reasonable for a lunch.

Super quick service, even quicker if you preorder on the app. Lots of seating at this branch. I find meat based dishes very inconsistent, especially the chicken which varies greatly in its quality. Never known if you are going to get the off putting chewy pieces. Vegetarian dishes however have some consistency so appear to be a safer bet.

Easy to use self-ordering menu. Quick service and extremely friendly guy at the front counter (who gave me a free hash brown because they were going to be tossed anyway! 😊👍🏾). Food was good and not too expensive for fast food. I took one star off because there doesn’t appear to be any recycling possibilities with the waste created… but overall very happy and can recommend!

Really the best gluten free chicken nuggies you can find. If you love organic and gluten free they have a lot to offer. You order on a screen then pick it up. The food arrives quickly and tastes yummy.

Really pretty place and curious menu, however, the food was not good at all. Not enough flavour or salt for that matter, lukewarm fries. Bland. The raspberry lemonade was yum though.

It's a very nice little place with reasonable prices, £4 for sausage and egg, muffin, £1.25 for hash browns. I must admit I didn't really enjoy the food. The muffin has a spiced salsa. Would have preferred plain and the hqs browns are baked, I think, not fried. Undoubtedly healthier just not that familiar taste. But it's a good opinion centrally.

Thought I would try Leon for a takeaway lunch. The chicken burger was tasteless, rubbery and lukewarm and the fries were cold. Never again!

Nice and calm and uncrowded compared to all the other places around. Nice food and good value. Shame no staff came around to clean tables and the toilet was in a terrible state.

The people who work hear are honestly useless. I ordered peanut chicken and chilli chicken rice box, stood and waited for almost 30 minutes and then finally said that they didn’t have either product left, after I had paid. No apology- won’t ever be going back there

It's like a bad Macdonalds. So disorganised. Not a huge amount of people ordering but everyone crossed arms and dissatisfied. The staff look panicked and don't know what they are doing. Food is ok but portions have got much smaller. A very disappointing visit.
