Indian cuisine is not usually our first choice. However, the restaurant was close to our hotel and the online reviews looked promising. We followed the recommendations on the reviews and ordered butter chicken and naan bread. Both were very good. We also enjoyed Saag Gosht. The meat dishes were generous portions containing quality pieces of meat. Expensive rice. The service was good and deserving of the service charge.

My second visit to the restaurant was as good as the first. This time was solo dining and I was well looked after. I chose the Lamb Methi Gosht which was aromatic and tender, with a lovely pilau rice. Definitely worth a revisit!

Expected better. Rather bland. Specifically asked for medium spicy main dish and it came very mild indeed. Sent it back. Then the chicken was overcooked. Average wine 187ml bottles at £8. Felt cheated. Coffee was instant coffee which i don't expect. , extremely hot, couldn't drink it for 10 minutes. Asked for this to be taken off the bill. Don't recommend and won't be returning.

I ordered one of the Chef's Specials in the hope that it would be good. It was a mix of lamb, chicken and prawns. The lamb was extremely tough with most of it being unchewable and uncuttable. The overall flavour was bland. The rice was OK. The drinks menu had only non alcoholic beer so I ordered a Cobra Zero. It turned out to be a small bottle, thankfully, as it was undrinkable being warm as well as nasty. I noticed two other patrons, both men probably on business trips eating alone. They got normal beer and wine so the restaurant does do it but for some reason wants to keep it a little bit secret. Very disappointing. I would never visit this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Had a meal with my family here after theatre and this was the closest restaurant to our hotel, we were ravenous! Really good food and the waiters were super attentive. If you’re looking for a good Indian restaurant, this is the place to come!

I have written about this place before and said food was good, but chairs needed to be replaced, well the chairs have been replaced and look nice but the food in my opinion as is now suffering. Ate here with a group of people on business. We wanted Indian food and it was near the hotel. There are things written on the menu like award winning or some such suggestions that gives that impression. I would say it was pretty average for Indian food. On the whole it was good. There were a few mess ups with the order, but the staff were pretty good about it. The food was good, but not outstanding. Fair sized portion, but no fancy table warmers or extras. There was plenty of staff on and some manager/owner who seemed a little hard on them. There were heated towels and mints to finish. The icing on the cake was the 20% service charge added to the bill. We got it removed, but they were none too pleased. We rather would leave a tip according to the service... 20% This is not USA.

Ordered lamb rogan josh and steamed rice.On arrival discovered it was tepid, no where near warm let alone hot. They briefly took it away, guess it had 30secs in microwave as returned slightly warmer. It really was nothing like any lamb rogan josh I have ever tasted (its my favourite- I cook it and have eaten it in loads of restaurants over last 30 years) there was no detectable spice/ chilli heat at all, the sauce was rather like an undercooked over greasy tomato and onion salsa - no taste other than greasy tomato and onion. The lumps of pale meat ?? mutton were tough and I decided not to eat them. Indeed I only really ate the rice- which was OK. ( I was really hungry after a long day and no lunch)No one asked if my meal was OK despite fact I was on my own, sole diner !It was expensive and there was a big compulsory service charge applied so this dish and a small bottle of water were approx £20-25 in a rather scruffy badly run small restaurant.When paying staff did not ask if my meal had been OK, so I volunteered my experience, they remained impassive and uninterested.My advice is avoid this restaurant ! I have eaten at indian restaurants in many UK cities, in Australia, New Zealand and often cook Indian at home. This was not just the worst meal in an Indian restaurant it was the worst I have ever tasted in any restaurant ever !

Trozos de papa hervida y cauilflower en una fina salsa de tomate sin rastro de ninguna especia de ningún tipo. Dejé casi todo pero el personal no parecía preocupado o interesado. Recordaron una botella de cerveza pero olvidaron una copa de vino. Si hubiera sido gratis, lo cual no fue de ninguna manera, habría sido demasiado caro.

First of all, the food was amazing, but I took my mother her and we had a really weird experience. We asked for an aperitif of a glass of white wine each, then to share a bottle of red wine with the food. The aperitifs were delayed, but it wasn't a big deal. But then, after we'd gotten our meal and were engaged in deep conversation, the waiter stopped at our table and randomly interrupted our conversation to tell us he'd "never heard of people drinking white and red wine at the same time!" It was insane! First of all, we hadn't asked to have white and red at the same time, we'd asked for aperitifs of white wine while waiting for our food, then red wine to have WITH our food. Second of all, who on earth interrupts paying customers' conversations to tell them they are "strange"? The whole thing seemed like some unprovoked condescending rant against women and I was embarrassed I had chosen this restaurant to take my mother who was visiting from abroad.

While on a weekend break in London we wanted an indian meal. We found this restaurant and enjoyed it very much. There was plenty on the menu to choose from. I shared a mixed variety for starters and it it was very good being a variety but by sharing it was not too much. The service was very good and attentive and there seemed to be lots of locals visiting which is always a good recommendation. The only downside for me was the automatic addition of a service charge which I am never a fan of.

J'ai passé un agréable moment dans ce restaurant, découvert par hasard. Carte très engageante, prix raisonnables. Nous avons suivi les conseils et choisi un Meat Thali et un fish thali. Ce sont des plateaux avec des mélanges pour goûter des plats différents. Le pilau rice est très bon. Mention aussi pour les naan, surtout le keema naan.

Though we'd planned Indian food that evening, we had to stay in and so decided I'd run nearby and pick up our dinner. Chambeli had good reviews, and we liked their menu. They answered quickly, food was ready in 15 minutes, staff friendly, and prices reasonable. I had the chicken vindaloo which was perfect for my taste, and my daughter had the chicken masala. If I were staying again in the area and looked for an Indian restaurant in a short walk, I'm sure I'd visit again.

We had some simple Indian basic dishes. A chicken korma for my wife and a lamb curry for me. With a starter, drinks and sundries it all came in at £42.

The food was average and samosas not very authentic. Our waiter was very rude and seemed to wanting us to go before we even got in. He cleaned the table before we were really finished. He commended us to open wines and soft drinks our selves and he to an overprice for the wine and claimed that we ordered differently. In general he was so rude that we would never want to go there again.

Went to this Indian Restaurant as close to our hotel. The waiter was very friendly and advised re gluten free options. Our curries were very tasty, lovely poppadums and assorted dips. I had medium heat curry which was perfect for me. The hot curry was HOT as my friend discovered! If not sure go medium for lovely flavour and heat. White tablecloths and smart service and I would return.

If it's a typical Friday night following a few beers and the urge for a curry arises then find somewhere else if you dont want an average less than tastee' chicken Jalfezee. This dish should be bursting with flavor and spice yet a run of the mill sauce spoilt what should be a classic. Yes there were green chilis but as mentioned the sauce was a let down. Ok I reviewed this on yelp a year ago and it was a disaster! However, anyone can have a bad day! So a year later I found myself in London again and thought I would give it another chance. What a mistake! Gordon Ramsey went to the states to do a series on kitchen nightmares but he could have stayed at home and started here!!

Las mesas se reorganizaron rápidamente para acomodarnos a nosotros, y nuestra colorida aventura culinaria comenzó cuando nos sumergimos en una variedad de ricas y sabrosas ofertas para el paladar.
