Chalfont Oriental in Chiltern

Had takeaway from the vegetarian menu: mock duck pancakes and the mock chicken with a spicy garlicy sauce. 10/10!!! It was so meat-like and the flavours were great. Also prepared really quickly

The food is honestly the worst Chinese I have ever had in my life. Please do not order from here if you love Chinese food. The sweet and sour didn’t taste correct , there was barely any sauce. The food was bland no flavour to it. Just a disappointment. I have moved to this area recently and have been trying loads of Chinese places near little Chalfont / in little Chalfont and I would not recommend this at all.

Not to bad place to get food from. Normally very quick. Unfortunately they only accept cash on delivery so no card or app purchases. Which is a downside. There is a wide range of dishes available and spicy options if your into that. The big downside is the prices which are restaurant level and are higher than competitors in the area who do accept cards for delivery and are on delivery apps

food was amazing, i recommend the salt and pepper chips, service was amazing and came in 5-10 minutes, couldn’t have asked for anything better

Very rude staff, quality of the food has gone down and over charged would not recommend to anyone. I would not have given any star rating if given the choice.

First and last time from this place...no taste in food, noodles was dry and they look old!

Ok but very bland. Hardly any flavour, sauces seemed watered down. Slimy skin in the duck dish was not appetising.

Cannot fault taste of food, what I am faulting is the portion size since the "new" chef has started as the "old" chef was giving too big portion sizes, when I enquired about half filled containers the customer service received by the lady behind the counter was non-existent, why have a customer facing role if you have no customer service experience. Was told "Thats the portion size" "We can't do anything about it" "Oh Well" and basically did not care about the customer or the portion sizes, considering the prices are about to increase and the portion sizes greatly smaller there are going to be some very unhappy customers for which I am one of them. Would avoid this take-away until they up their game on customer service, portion size and cost - within half a mile each way of this take away you will find better value for money take aways WITH customer service and a portion size which reflects the cost of the dish.

Food is very tasty we normally have the salt and chilli chicken wings I would recommend them.

So variable, sometimes it's very good good portions and tasty, other times tiny portions or not nice. Last time was very greasy and not tasty so bad I binned it. Shame because they can be excellent.

Food is good and you wouldn't guess it by the glum exterior. Seen others complaining about portion sizes. They seemed pretty standard to me and fairly priced. Seems like they maybe had a reputation for jumbo portions a few years back. . .

I have used this Chinese take away on many occasions for a number of years and to be honest it's always been hit and miss on the quality of the food!! Last night I ordered from here and I can honestly say it will be the last ! The food was dry and really chewy as if it had been left to go cold and then reheated, the crispy chilli beef was absolutely diabolical! I'm not sure why the owners feel it is right to serve food of that standard! Very disappointed!!

Excellent Chinese takeaway. Food is delicious. Order directly from them and not from a web site - this means you'll get free prawn crackers if the order is over a certain amount. Only 4 star because they don't have a web site with their menu and staff could be a bit more helpful and friendly.

In the last 2 months this place has really gone down hill such a shame and all the other local take aways manage to fill the containers

absolutely disgusted with how I was spoken to by the manager of this Chinese, we have always used Chalfont oriental as the food has always been 5*, I am not disputing the food on this review because the food is still 5* but the portion sizes tonight was only half filled, I phoned up and highlighted this to the manager, I was told that the previous chef was giving to bigger portion sizes and the new chef's have been told to limit the portion sizes, the manager also stated that prices will be going up soon despite the smaller portion sizes, when I said to the manager that she will lose custom, her response to me was "oh well" and she put the phone down. this is not how you treat customers, you need to learn some customer care skills. will not be using this Chinese again

Have a few Chinese take aways closer to home but i'd rather drive the 5 miles to Chalfont Oriental as their food beats all around. Their food is amazing and it stays roasting hot till you get it home unlike take aways that are just down the road from me. Their servings are far greater than my locals and prices are on par also. Very friendly owners and have recommended this take away to family and friends in my area of Chalfont St, Peter. Definitely a 5***** rating from me and family.

Lovely service, delicious food and speedy delivery. Polite and easy to understand and quite simply, the tastiest Chinese food in the area.
