Service was poor and the girl serving was very rude and unprofessional talking loudly behind the counter! Very abrupt! Not friendly or welcoming! She also forgot to give the discount!

I had visited the store around like 11 and it smells aweful and the place was too dirty to sit in. Talking about the service the lady at the till has 0 respect for the customers and leaves them unattended. The staff were busy meeting their friends and I had to ask out for one tea for like 5-6 times and though it my food was dine in they gave us the food in a take away. The food was stale and the omelette did not have no stuffing in it and was burnt. The worst experience ever at this Chaiwala.

We went in and asked about seating. We were told rather nonchalantly to "find a table if you can". We were new here and said as much. Food was anything but authentic. Alu paratha was a malaysian stuffed potato parotta( the type you buy when desperate). Pani puri- neither pani nor puri were close to the real deal. Karak Chai had sugar in it ( menu says no sugar), and not particularly authentic. The samosa chaat was ok. Choley rice had that "just microwaved" flavor. It has claimed the title of the nadir of our trip. Unfortunate doesnt describe it fully. Extremely unfortunate does. It is cheap. But evidently the host didnt want to be there, and by the end of the visit neither did we.

I have visited the new Kilburn branch a few times now and the staff seem incompetent especially the lady. The chai is the smallest of cups for a medium, and portions of food are small and not generous. The aloo paratha is thin as a wafer, not a vegetable in sight. Rip off at £2.50. To call them the number goes through the hotel first. To be put through to Chaiiwala takes ages and no one ever comes to take the call. Really frustrating. Also always running out of items which is on the menu. Not ok. Especially as restaurant is empty!! For those reasons I’d rather spend my money in Starbucks opposite. Lost a valuable and what may have been a regular customer.

I visited for lunch, having heard Chaiiwalla had opened a new branch in Norbury. The service was excellent, quick and easy ordering, food arrived promptly and was both hot and delicious. The pink tea with nuts was so wonderful I had to have another! Special mention to Hussain, who was brilliant on all fronts. So delighted this gem has arrived and will be back multiple times, I’m sure!

The food is generally good but the chaii which is meant to be the star of the show is awful. I have tasted way better. This was cold, really milky and tasted like tea that you could make at home. For karak chaii that is advertised as 'well brewed strong tea' then this was far from it! Service was bad with staff moaning about waiting for their shift to end! As I said, food was nice and well made apart from finding cardamom in my halwa puri which is not nice especially if you accidently bite into it!

We ordered a variety of dishes to try. The kids meal went down a treat, with hot chips and chicken bites (chicken tikka style). Kebab roll was a hit as was samosa chaat. I will be back! A few things can be improved but really for the price and location it is a wonderful addition to the high street with general standards, good air conditioning for an outlet such as this. A really good variety of foods to try out, mix and match and take you to Little Mumbai for an hour or two! I would ask the Chaiwalla team to consider developing some chai/ karak chai using oat milk, dairy alternatives so people who suffer from lactose intolerance can have some options available. Also to serve the salad/ relish on the side of the Aloo Tikki burger, this way it will allow people to tailor the burger according to taste. An option to build your own burgers would be SUPER! Thank you Chaiwalla.

I wasn't well with a bad stomach and told to eat plain things. I ordered just a classic roti which was good. Not greasy. Simple and plain. Well packaged. Securely. Would go when better to try more items.

Very sad we discovered this on our last day in London as it's just wonderful. Gorgeous, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and delicious, reasonably priced dishes. Will be back! Parathas are particularly delicious.
