Chaiiwala in Birmingham

I ordered a desi breakfast and they got the whole order wrong!! Gave me beans instead of chana. Put cheese on my egg!! And gave me a karak chaii that tasted nothing like a tea. I could’ve put a tea bag in a cup and spat in it and it would’ve tasted better

There is no security. I was with my friends we ordered a cake and some beggars came in grab the cake from their dirty hand and left the messed up table. The staff couldn’t apologise to us or replace the cake as we just started eating within their premises. So it was bad experience for me and my friend. Won’t recommend any one.

Usually never have an issue and the food is always amazing. However, on this occasion, I ordered multiple items and was missing 1 chicken tikka pasty. I know it gets busy and mistakes happen but need better quality controls in place to ensure customer orders are complete before handing to couriers. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

We tried the Keema Bombay Bowl for the first time and it was delicious. Will surely order this again. Was not too keen on the paratha this time as they were chewy and not soft enough. The egg and daal were delicious as usual. And everyone must try the Karachi Bun Kebab!. we loved it and next time I will order 2 just for myself!

I visited last night and I had pink tea .it was very tasty and customer service was excellent.

Went at 12 March at about 5:45pm around then whoever was working in the kitchen did a horrible job. Ordered my halwa puri service was OK however when I got the food the puri was undercooked a bit and the halwa was appalling, was filled up 1/5 of the way just a sticky slimy splodge of puri with barely any taste. Really? Ruined.

The pistachio ice had so little chocolate sauce and pistachio cream. It was as if the survival of this branch was dependant on the amount of the chocolate and pistachio sauce they have in stock. We are from London and we have never experienced anything like that in our Tooting or Norbury branch. Question is, is it management or staff that are trying to prove something to eachother, whilst the customer pays the full price and receives peanuts for it. My recommendation, try to find another Chaiiwala that doesn't have survival issues. Very disappointed.

Stopped by Chaiwala on Coventry Road for a quick bite and a chai. Ordered an egg omelette and a chai—both were served quickly and tasted great. The omelette was fresh and well-cooked, while the chai had the perfect balance of spices. Service was efficient and friendly, making it an easy and hassle-free experience. Ideal spot for a quick and satisfying desi-style tea break. Would definitely visit again!

The customer service has been onpoint and the staff are always friendly, easy to engage with and are always ready to listen to any queries or problems. The chaii at Chaiiwala is both tasty and unique.

I was very disappointed at the delivery time today. The just eat driver came nearly two hrs late. Food and the hot chocolate n tea were cold.

Been awhile since I been to any chaiwala branch, reason being majority of food is prepared from frozen... From here ordered some karak chai and a bombay sandwich Karak tea was decent taste wise but the bombay sandwich wasn't really to my liking... Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different but this is just my honest opinion

Both the omelette and daal was not as tasty this time. The limbu paani had strange powdery bits in it which did not taste the same as usual.

shocking food and would not order again. channa had a burnt taste, strawberry and pistachio cheesecake had no strawberry, the butter chicken roti roll hardly had any filling and food was cold.

Ordered loaded doughnuts on the app for collection before I had work and they got my order wrong. Loaded doughnuts come with sauce and toppings but they missed out the toppings. I also ordered a while before I came into the shop and placed a note saying I’m in a rush but the girl with the glasses took forever to serve me. I couldn’t call or bring the food back in time because my shift had started so the food went to waste, when I called the girl was so rude and gaslighting me saying I didn’t pay for double toppings when you get one topping regardless? I’ve ordered the same thing from other chaiiwala branches and have always received sauce and one topping with the loaded doughnuts. The girl on the phone was really rude and just kept saying ‘sorry but what do you want me to do, I can’t do anything.’ She had no customer service skills at all, didn’t try to solve the problem. I asked to speak to the manager and she said it was her. I went in to the shop after work and the girl on the till with glasses said she was the manager/supervisor and continued to say I didn’t pay for double toppings, and then she offered me a cheap breakfast bar or cookie, I asked if I could have a small tea instead, I didn’t really want another dessert, and she said I’d have to pay £1.75 extra… which makes no sense. It’s not about the cost, messed up my order and can’t even try to rectify the situation. Messed up a £6.50 order and can’t offer a £2 tea.. Have been working in food industry for four years and we would never solve a complaint like this, sort out your staffs attitude. I was a regular customer here, will not be coming back!

I was there today. I ordered a chicken butter roll and a cream cheese paratha, both were soooooo dry. It’s my first time facing this issue so that was a bit disappointing. Hopefully next visit will be better.

First time trying to Samosa Chaat, didn’t disappoint at all. Alongside w the cheese & jalepenos bake, gorgeous! 10/10 very filling.

Preguntados por qué, declararon que nadie en Coventry Road acepta el billete de 20 libras escocesas ni siquiera los bancos. Pregunté. Para hablar con un superior, la persona en la caja declara que está en una reunión y nadie está calificado para responder a mis preguntas. Portion size is shrinking because of the country's financial situation but no reason for a price increase if you shrink the Portion size.

Complete disappointment avoid at all costs. Firstly went there when it was quiet hoping for a quick bite and coffee. Ordered food and coffee to eat in. They said they are making a fresh batch of coffee be about 5 mins I said no bother as waiting for food anyway. Food took 25 minutes and even then they said coffee will be another 10 minutes, after 30 minutes I went up to the counter to ask where's my coffee was on my way out. They said it'll be 15 minutes. Walked out and said to give the coffee when it's ready to the next person. So probably a customer will get it tomorrow. All they care about is their delivery drivers making sure they get their drinks and out the door. No consideration for customers eating in, blasting music full volume so the staff in the back can enjoy but piercing or eardrums. Shambles. P.s been here before and there's always a wait hence why I went this time when it was quiet. Who knew they'd be late anyway.

Such a poor service I have just taken the 2 cup of tea but it was cold both cups then I asked again to warm the tea but was cold again so I left both cup of tea and hasn't got my money back and I said u guys enjoy the money.. it is my request to management team please take care or ur brand and your worker doesn't care Thank u

Went in for chai , after dinner at our hotel. Kadak chai and pink chai, and samosa chat. Chai was really good , samosa chat was ok but nothing special. Went in at around 9pm, only one other table occupied, however as we are finishing up and getting ready to leave, around 9.40pm, the place is packed and really good atmosphere.

Went to Chaiwalla on 25th April around 1 o’clock ordered two teas and two tikka wraps found the teas were cold overall tables were very dirty tried using the toilet and ran out from there it needs a good clean

Rubbish service. Rang to make an order and staff on the call was so rude and talking down at me. She gave me the wrong price and when I asked why she started being rude. I got there Atleast 5 times a week and iam aware what the price of the order I place is as it’s always the same. Would recommend never to go there again

Normally I live their karak tea, had 3 Karak consecutively from different branch, coventry one was the worst feel like diluted, the girl who was making it was confused & asking other how to make it.

Awesome delivered of food on time but a little look warm (but completely understandable with it being near Iftar time) however tasted great!

Chaiwala on the whole has friendly and good service especially Bharti There are no caffeine free versions of teas and coffees. Also some drinks do not have sugar free versions. Given that a significant number of south Asian and afro Caribbean descent have predisposition to diabetes and heart disease if chaiwala were to think about this they could steal a march on the marketplace by touting 'Diabetic friendly' offerings. It requires someone with vision to initiate something like this. The furniture of metal chairs is uncomfortable and doesn't serve many people of a certain age and infirmity. Also there is no WiFi present. Again some visionary thought required.
