Badshah Palace Restaurant in Birmingham

I only visited this restaurant for a takeaway, but the experience was underwhelming. The sauces were thin and watery, with barely any flavour. The venue itself felt somewhat cold, damp, and surprisingly rundown for a place that hasn’t been open very long.

Staff were soo attentive and helpful, even making biriyani extra spicy. The building itself was beautiful

Food quality no good Badshah Palace

I ordered the chicken seekh, but the taste was so unpleasant that it nearly made me sick. The burger we had was no better—it tasted stale and unappetising. In the end, everything went straight into the bin.

It was our first time dining at this restaurant, and we had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Every dish we ordered was fantastic, and we left thoroughly impressed. Overall, it was a wonderful evening, and we’ll definitely be returning!

As a pescatarian, I decided to try the prawn korma, and it didn’t disappoint—there were plenty of prawns, and the dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s reasonably priced and well worth a visit. I would definitely recommend this place!

Nice venue. Food was fresh and tasty

Worst venue ever. Booked the restaurant part out for sister's nikkah and tell me why we got served food that was left over from a wedding that same day. The starters tasted like they were heated over and over again. We paid for bottled water and they served us tap on top of that they put drink bottles on the table that were half drank. When you go to book them they make it out like they will give you the world but on the day it’s completely different money making schemers. Not the first time disappointed. Never going back.

We have never been disappointed, each visit at Badshah Palace has been better than before. We have been there for many occasions, whether it be weddings, party or dinner. The food, atmosphere, deco, customer service and the ambiance is just outstanding. Can’t fault at anything, they always go out of their way for the service they provide. I have held both my husbands 40th Birthday and daughters 7th birthday. The team at Badshah have provided such an amazing experience overall. Hence we do not go elsewhere. A special thank you to Shelim Bhai & Helim Bhai. Look forward to booking future events and occasions.

Really nice venue. Staff and management really help full. Price are amazing. Really affordable for every one. I am proud to be seeing this place.

Visited yesterday via a deal for my daughter's birthday. Excellent value, friendly staff and good food. Was especially pleased that the fish pakora was Tilapia and not Basa and this was delicious. Beautiful surroundings too. Will definitely return

Absolutely disgusting service and food is soo dry. Asked for a reorder but didnt replace the food. Should never order from this place. Food prices soo high but no quality. Bad customer service. Shouldnt even give one star.DISGRACEFUL

Horrible staff and management, first they got our order wrong, we were constantly calling the staff to listen to us but nobody visited our table and were literally ignoring us. We went to the manager and he was so rude that he asked us to leave. He said ‘go out then’. Worst experience ever. Only visit them if you want to get insulted.

Came with family, Ordered the 3 course meals, very nice and tasty, full of flavour from starters to main, I highly recommend this place, and also excellent service

"I attended a wedding at this venue, and I was truly impressed. The decor is absolutely stunning, creating a beautiful and elegant atmosphere. The food, from starters to mains and dessert is good.

Badshah palace was money well spent on my nephew walima. The decor , food and management were excellent. The manager was extremely proactive, supportive and an excellent communicator. We were unsure about certain aspects yet he was on hand to help in a friendly, positive way. I will be ringing him tomorrow to say thank you in person.

The food was absolutely delicious and generously portioned. Supersoft naan and tasty rice. Our mocktails was fresh and morish . I very highly recommend this jewel of a place!!

The wedding hall manager is so rude. Him and his staff are not friendly and welcoming. This is my family’s wedding. I have alot of things to do and I can’t just sit down at a table waiting for food.They don’t give standing guests food whilst serving everyone, they say they need to wait till everyone is finished for them to get another table ready. No one is going to wait at the end of the wedding to eat. It is ok for them to eat and own workers also security mens! Even when it’s busy they still have time to put food in containers for themselves. However I have been told by a staff they cannot put it on a plate because they are busy! Very ridiculous. Negative vibes this hall is.

I attending a wedding, this food was very poor , service was a disaster, staff have a very poor attitude, place stinks , guys do not book this venue for you weddings or party’s , they will screw you over big time

Went for a meal , told they don’t serve alcohol and you’re not allowed to take your own . Who eats a chicken madras without a cold beer ! Won’t ever be going back there when you can go boldmere road who welcome you to take your own !

Me and my family came today for an evening meal... I was most definitely impressed by Mohammed Halim... His kindness and soft spoken mannerisms were great... He took our orders and when the food came it was incredibly fresh, with flavours bursting out.. Thank you for everything.. Will definitely be returning again soon

very good went for my brother's football ceremony and service and everything there was impeccable but in the end, the staff and waiters rushed to tidy up before you finished eating

Family Wedding been looking forward for some time , took days off work to attend, 09/06/24 , totally ruined the taste of the food, specially the starters, so spicy I would compare vindaloo strength, service was excellent, complained but there had no other alternative, really really disappointing.

Impeccable!! Another delightful evening at Badshahs for a birthday meal with the family. Again the service was outstanding, the food was excellently presented, hot (temperature ) and freshly prepared. I decided to try something different to tantalise the taste buds and opted for the Sylheti chicken Jalfrezi. What a treat!! bursting with spices and aromatic fragrances.. delicious indeed! Other dishes ordered were the mouth-watering butter chicken, chicken balti and fresh cooked warm naan with a slight crisp texture.. topped off the evening with a brownie and ice cream dessert! absolutely Superb and will return again… Thank you Haleem for your brilliant hospitality… 👌…

Absolutely beautiful venue to host weddings. The decor , food is absolutely amazing. The only complaint is the waiters. They are in a rush to dish out the food and tidy up. While we were still eating trying to clear up. We have attended a few weddings at this venue and haven't been disappointed.

I recently visited Badshah Palace with high hopes, but my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The ambiance was mediocre, and the service left much to be desired. However, the most off-putting aspect of my visit was an interaction with a worker named Halim. Halim's breath was unbearably foul. It was so bad that I had to hold my breath every time he approached our table. This severely impacted my ability to enjoy the meal and the overall dining experience. It’s astonishing that a restaurant with the supposed standards of Badshah Palace would overlook such a basic aspect of hygiene. Despite the food being somewhat decent, the overpowering odor from Halim's breath overshadowed any positives. I left the restaurant feeling nauseous and disappointed. I strongly advise management to address this issue immediately and ensure better hygiene standards for their staff. I will not be returning to Badshah Palace, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Visited last night, 31st May. There was a wedding going on so the car park was extremely busy however the service we received in the restaurant was impeccable. The food was the nicest I've ever had, all of the waiters were attentive. The Pina Colada was amazing. The restaurant vibes are relaxed and each table is very private, all booth style tables. We will definitely be back. Also the decor inside the building is stunning! Great find after moving to the area! Thank you

The food was delicious & well presented. The outside of the venue isn’t the prettiest for a wedding venue but it is very spacious inside.

Harry was our waiter, a lovely guy and helpful, brought the food which was all brilliant I recommend the fish, definitely go there again as our friends & family will love it as well!

We came here for a wedding reception, venue seens ok however I cannot really comment on the food as everyone has their own preferences when it comes to wedding food. Would have given a 5 star if it wasn't for that rude arrogant parking host directing us upon arriving... very rude and needs to sort out his manners, if you dont feel like meeting and greeting people then take the day off or find something that suits your attitude, do t take it out on your customers, some of whom have travelled hundreds of miles for this occasion.

Went in today, food was decent, however they had an nasheed event at the restaurant - no problem. The issue was that there was no considerations for any of the other patrons, the speakers were on full and I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me, a small bit of etiquette would have been nice, all they had to do was turn it down a bit.

Went to an event for 80 people. The place is clean and tidy, but there’s many things wrong with the restaurant at the event. Even though restaurant charges a lot of money for each person Attending the event, the restaurant provided small amount of food. There was not enough starters or main course meal even though the restaurant charged for it. When they were speech is going on at the event the downstairs hall would have loud music. Every time the restaurant without to turn the music down though turn it down for a few minutes and turn it back on again loud. Even though there were 80 people at the event, the restaurant only provided one waiter. The waiter didn’t even care if there was enough food. Would I come here again? Definitely not

Good venue for ur weddings and special occasions.

Very stingy on their Ramadan meals. There was about 20 people and the restaurant brought 1 chicken wing each, a few salad pieces and some rice. For a place like this the Ramadan meal was disappointing for the amount of people that attended. Brownie desert was very artificial, something they picked off the shelf in Costco. Wont be returning there...

We went to this great restaurant yesterday. There's free parking right outside. It's been refurbished and looks great. Very cosy and private table settings. The food is excellent. The chicken, lamb and fish dishes are so tasty. Wide variety of dishes available for all tastes and ages. Will definitely come back to taste the other fish dishes and noodles. We had mackerel chutney dish. So nice with garlic naan. The chicken karahi and the lamb balti was full of flavour and authentic. Will definitely try the sharing platter too. Just love it here. Attentive staff and very clean restaurant. Well worth a visit with family and friends.

Badshah is something special. We never had a bad meal from there. The food is always good and the customer service is top notch. I would highly recommend this place.

In regards to the wedding facilities themselves, that was all great. The decor, food was really fresh and tasty. I think they cook everything in their own restaurant. Waiter were very nice and polite. I think they had like 1 waiter per table; which is very useful.

We visited the Badshah palace for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The food, the service and the setting were fabulous. The menu prices are really reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised with the bill. The staff went out of their way to make sure we all had a wonderful evening. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We were bought this as a Xmas gift, what an absolute gem of a place. The decor is stunning, the food was excellent, the staff were brilliant a special mention for Harry, who is a credit to this restaurant, so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and great service! Held my daughter's Nikkah celebrations. The waiters were very polite and efficient, food was served hot, the taste was enjoyed by all, some even took it home to as far as Bournemouth. Badshah Palace never disappoints. Ive been hear on a number of occasions with family and friends. The service and staff are great and very friendly. I took the opportunity to surprise my hubby, at Badshah Palace for his special birthday this week because I know its a place he likes. Harry and the rest of the staff were very accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and all who attended enjoyed themselves. To have it local to us is a bonus.

Went on Saturday night with friends, the service was brilliant and harry was so friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was so good , we all love curry and said this was the nicest curry we have had for a while. All the dishes were full of flavour and served to individual taste. Definitely returning and looking forward to the food. Lovely surroundings too.
