I had my daughter's wedding there really on the 26th April 2025 and it was gorgeous they gave the best service food was on point , newly refurbished

A Fantastic Birthday Celebration at Bashah! We recently celebrated my niece’s birthday at Bashah Restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. There were 12 of us dining on a Saturday, and the staff made the occasion feel truly special. The food was absolutely delicious—standouts included the Sylheti Chicken Tikka and the King Prawn Bhuna, both packed with flavour and beautifully presented. The desserts were just as impressive, especially the Ferrero Rocher cheesecake, which was a hit with everyone at the table. To top it all off, we were treated to complimentary strawberry daiquiris for the whole table, and the staff even sang happy birthday, making it a really memorable evening. Highly recommended for both the food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Went for a Wedding and the Staff was very nice, I asked for a high chair and got one immediately. They came around and asked if we needed anything. Overall great staff.

Had a lovely meal at badshah palace restaurant tonite. From start to finish the food was delicious. Haleem who looked after us was amazing. Will definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.

My first time ordering from this place and am proud to say one of the best curry spots in Birmingham. I work in an Indian restaurant so I am familiar with curries. The chicken sylheti jalfrezi was one of the best jalfrezis I’ve had. They gave us free poppadoms and free fish pakoras with dips on the side. The only problem I had was there a lot of oil sat on top of the curries which put me off a bit but the flavours just blew me away. I am most definitely going to order from here again and will definitely sit inside the restaurant and enjoy the full experience. Must try.

Food was a disaster Pre booked wedding party

I booked my husband’s small 50th surprise party at the restaurant. 25 close friends and family catered for. It was very reasonably priced. We had from babies to elderly attend. I ordered a set menu in advance. Food was good, service was good. Staff were accommodating, efficient and friendly. They catered well for my vegetarian brother.. the food is halal and everyone had a lovely time. We took some lovely pics in an area which we hadn’t booked - decorated for wedding parties but hadn’t been hired out that evening. When the manager saw our guests doing this, he put the lights on and allowed us to snap away - which was very nice of him. So here are the suggestions for improvements: we arrived before the wedding party that happened downstairs. We were parked in and it was very difficult to get out of the car park. Maybe consider if this could be planned/handled better. The walk up the stairs to the restaurant is a little dated and run down… but I believe they are recarpetting so maybe about to change this soon. Even with the little issues above, this was a very pleasant evening and very good value for money.

Had a great experience here We were gifted a groupon voucher for a 3-course meal. We booked up and advised of the Groupon and we were given a specific menu for this, which we were aware would happen. The menu was a limited menu, but it still ha plenty of choice of great dishes. We also saw that there is another deal for 3-courses for £15 each if you go direct with the venue which has even more options, brilliant 👌 We had our 3 courses, which were all delicious and generous portion sizes. We also had poppadoms extra and were advised from the start that these were charged extra to the Groupon, so very good information from the staff at the start, thank you. The service was exceptional. Our host/waiter was extremely friendly to us and the service was very efficient and presentation was excellent too. We felt very comfortable in the venue all night. I must also say that this is my first time in the venue and every part of it is absolutely stunning. To summarise, great service, great food, great venue, great value. We will be back again.

The perfect place to have a family meal especially for large gatherings. All three courses were delicious. The service was exemplary and the decor is amazing. We will definitely be coming back!

I want to say a huge thank you to the owners and staff at Badshah Palace. Uncle Rashid dealt with us from the first day and gave us all the reassurance.. as do most people, however, they really did deliver on all their promises. With 7 days to prepare for a Nikkah and Waleema, they really impressed everyone. All the guests could not believe this was all pulled off in such a small time frame. Uncle Rashid and Uncle Shelim made it so easy for us and took control of organising and planning with third parties so that we could focus on everything else. Staff were very polite, efficient and organised throughout the event. All the guests had a wonderful time and really rated the food 10/10. The dessert table, fruit table, canapés and drinks were really appreciated by ourselves and the guests. Thank you also for your last minute adjustment to catering for a small group of vegetarian guests. Uncles also do a lot of charity work and encouraged us to donate in return for a very good deal on a very good package. I would highly recommend Badshah Palace for your future events.. rest assured they have a lot of experience and knowledge of different cultures and traditions to guide us and advise accordingly. My wife and I had an excellent experience at Badshah Palace. Harun and the rest of the staff were fantastic—they took great care of us throughout our visit. The food, as always, was incredible especially the Zhinga Bhuna. Highly recommend this place!

Decor in any restaurant pleasant to have..Most important is the Food served on hot plates so it doesn't get cold whilst getting comfortable eating enjoying a special occasion.. Badshah defo won us over with fresh esquisite taste of food and exellent service..A good location for family gatherings inc young children and Babies all catered for..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Food and service was amazing! Went as a party of 6, no advance booking required and we were seated in a large booth straight away. Food and drinks came quickly, piping hot and freshly cooked. Portions were big and very filling! Atmosphere was lovely. It was quite empty for 8pm on a Friday, but that made the whole dining room experience better for us! The decor was beautiful. Definitely coming back here!

We had a wonderful time at the Badsha Restaurant. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous portions that satisfied even the heartiest appetites. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening out.

Well-recommended venue for an event

If I could give minus 10 stars I would. Held an event here and was promised a blank stage, yoghurt with biryani, and a fattoush salad… none of which was delivered. Had guests who require wheelchair access and venue was aware of this prior to the event but this was not set up prior to the event. Most importantly, the charity event hosted was a ladies only event and this was NOT respected. I am appalled at the lack of understanding, accountability and shame. Never ever ever going to recommend this place again. Dont book your event here, disorganised, and have a habit of verbally complying to requests and then not fulfilling them on the day. P.s they served cheap ice cream with their dessert

Had an #amazing CBS 1st anniversary at Badshah Palace, Birmingham

The steak was so poorly prepared it might as well have gone straight to the bin. The kebabs, clearly cooked from frozen, were unpleasantly chewy—honestly, I’ve had better results with supermarket microwave meals from Asda. To top it off, we ordered two different curries, yet both were identical in their bland, awful taste. A truly disappointing dining experience.

The food and service was fantastic. I can't really comment on the atmosphere because we visited early evening when it was quite. Prices were very reasonable too. Would highly recommend.

Very very dirty food, came to bring the kids for some curry as they love Asian cuisine, the tables were dirty and sticky, the curry was very bland and tasted like it was sitting there for days and had been reheated. The food made my children very ill as they had a poorly stomach. Do not come here if u care about ur health!

I only visited this restaurant for a takeaway, but the experience was underwhelming. The sauces were thin and watery, with barely any flavour. The venue itself felt somewhat cold, damp, and surprisingly rundown for a place that hasn’t been open very long.

Staff were soo attentive and helpful, even making biriyani extra spicy. The building itself was beautiful

Food quality no good Badshah Palace

I ordered the chicken seekh, but the taste was so unpleasant that it nearly made me sick. The burger we had was no better—it tasted stale and unappetising. In the end, everything went straight into the bin.

As a pescatarian, I decided to try the prawn korma, and it didn’t disappoint—there were plenty of prawns, and the dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s reasonably priced and well worth a visit. I would definitely recommend this place!

Worst venue ever. Booked the restaurant part out for sister's nikkah and tell me why we got served food that was left over from a wedding that same day. The starters tasted like they were heated over and over again. We paid for bottled water and they served us tap on top of that they put drink bottles on the table that were half drank. When you go to book them they make it out like they will give you the world but on the day it’s completely different money making schemers. Not the first time disappointed. Never going back.

We have never been disappointed, each visit at Badshah Palace has been better than before. We have been there for many occasions, whether it be weddings, party or dinner. The food, atmosphere, deco, customer service and the ambiance is just outstanding. Can’t fault at anything, they always go out of their way for the service they provide. I have held both my husbands 40th Birthday and daughters 7th birthday. The team at Badshah have provided such an amazing experience overall. Hence we do not go elsewhere. A special thank you to Shelim Bhai & Helim Bhai. Look forward to booking future events and occasions.

Visited yesterday via a deal for my daughter's birthday. Excellent value, friendly staff and good food. Was especially pleased that the fish pakora was Tilapia and not Basa and this was delicious. Beautiful surroundings too. Will definitely return

Absolutely disgusting service and food is soo dry. Asked for a reorder but didnt replace the food. Should never order from this place. Food prices soo high but no quality. Bad customer service. Shouldnt even give one star.DISGRACEFUL

Horrible staff and management, first they got our order wrong, we were constantly calling the staff to listen to us but nobody visited our table and were literally ignoring us. We went to the manager and he was so rude that he asked us to leave. He said ‘go out then’. Worst experience ever. Only visit them if you want to get insulted.

"I attended a wedding at this venue, and I was truly impressed. The decor is absolutely stunning, creating a beautiful and elegant atmosphere. The food, from starters to mains and dessert is good.

Badshah palace was money well spent on my nephew walima. The decor , food and management were excellent. The manager was extremely proactive, supportive and an excellent communicator. We were unsure about certain aspects yet he was on hand to help in a friendly, positive way. I will be ringing him tomorrow to say thank you in person.

The food was absolutely delicious and generously portioned. Supersoft naan and tasty rice. Our mocktails was fresh and morish . I very highly recommend this jewel of a place!!

The wedding hall manager is so rude. Him and his staff are not friendly and welcoming. This is my family’s wedding. I have alot of things to do and I can’t just sit down at a table waiting for food.They don’t give standing guests food whilst serving everyone, they say they need to wait till everyone is finished for them to get another table ready. No one is going to wait at the end of the wedding to eat. It is ok for them to eat and own workers also security mens! Even when it’s busy they still have time to put food in containers for themselves. However I have been told by a staff they cannot put it on a plate because they are busy! Very ridiculous. Negative vibes this hall is.

Went for a meal , told they don’t serve alcohol and you’re not allowed to take your own . Who eats a chicken madras without a cold beer ! Won’t ever be going back there when you can go boldmere road who welcome you to take your own !

Me and my family came today for an evening meal... I was most definitely impressed by Mohammed Halim... His kindness and soft spoken mannerisms were great... He took our orders and when the food came it was incredibly fresh, with flavours bursting out.. Thank you for everything.. Will definitely be returning again soon

Impeccable!! Another delightful evening at Badshahs for a birthday meal with the family. Again the service was outstanding, the food was excellently presented, hot (temperature ) and freshly prepared. I decided to try something different to tantalise the taste buds and opted for the Sylheti chicken Jalfrezi. What a treat!! bursting with spices and aromatic fragrances.. delicious indeed! Other dishes ordered were the mouth-watering butter chicken, chicken balti and fresh cooked warm naan with a slight crisp texture.. topped off the evening with a brownie and ice cream dessert! absolutely Superb and will return again… Thank you Haleem for your brilliant hospitality… 👌…

Absolutely beautiful venue to host weddings. The decor , food is absolutely amazing. The only complaint is the waiters. They are in a rush to dish out the food and tidy up. While we were still eating trying to clear up. We have attended a few weddings at this venue and haven't been disappointed.

I recently visited Badshah Palace with high hopes, but my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The ambiance was mediocre, and the service left much to be desired. However, the most off-putting aspect of my visit was an interaction with a worker named Halim. Halim's breath was unbearably foul. It was so bad that I had to hold my breath every time he approached our table. This severely impacted my ability to enjoy the meal and the overall dining experience. It’s astonishing that a restaurant with the supposed standards of Badshah Palace would overlook such a basic aspect of hygiene. Despite the food being somewhat decent, the overpowering odor from Halim's breath overshadowed any positives. I left the restaurant feeling nauseous and disappointed. I strongly advise management to address this issue immediately and ensure better hygiene standards for their staff. I will not be returning to Badshah Palace, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Visited last night, 31st May. There was a wedding going on so the car park was extremely busy however the service we received in the restaurant was impeccable. The food was the nicest I've ever had, all of the waiters were attentive. The Pina Colada was amazing. The restaurant vibes are relaxed and each table is very private, all booth style tables. We will definitely be back. Also the decor inside the building is stunning! Great find after moving to the area! Thank you

The food was delicious & well presented. The outside of the venue isn’t the prettiest for a wedding venue but it is very spacious inside.

We came here for a wedding reception, venue seens ok however I cannot really comment on the food as everyone has their own preferences when it comes to wedding food. Would have given a 5 star if it wasn't for that rude arrogant parking host directing us upon arriving... very rude and needs to sort out his manners, if you dont feel like meeting and greeting people then take the day off or find something that suits your attitude, do t take it out on your customers, some of whom have travelled hundreds of miles for this occasion.

Harry was our waiter, a lovely guy and helpful, brought the food which was all brilliant I recommend the fish, definitely go there again as our friends & family will love it as well!

Nice continental food. Quality and price. Nice place for small and large gatherings. I shall go again.
