We have been coming here for the past 10years and were disappointed with the change. Food was bland/tasteless and service was appalling when this was raised. We understand that there are sometimes "off moments" - we once had a dish where salt was used instead of sugar and the staff were amazing in dealing with it. Really sad that we have lost a good, honest restaurant.

One of our favourite restaurants in Notting Hill, never disappoints.

Great overall with attentive and very intuitive service. Very pleasant atmosphere, without unnecessary ‘attention’. Good food, nice wine although with slightly misleading vino menu online, being way bigger than actual physical wine list at the place. Nevertheless, as per initial statement, great place overall.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Very small portions and lacking in flavour and texture. Wine list was uninteresting. And overall overpriced. The best thing was the restaurant itself and cosy atmosphere and the staff were very nice and friendly and attentive.

Come here for the food not the wine. I asked to replace my glass of red as it tasted old and vinegar-y. The Maitre D told me she doesn't usually allow that but she had tasted the wine and acknowledged that it had been opened the day before, so just this once! She clearly had no knowledge of either wine or customer service. This wine was old and musty. Loud pop music at the beginning. Feel the Maitre D did not love her job, looked miserable and unhappy. The younger servers were friendly and polite. Need to replace the lady who is clearly undertrained and unhappy, spruce it up a bit, put on some good jazz but keep the Chef.

Great little French restaurant with very authentic French menu choice and lots of great wine by the glass. Good atmosphere in this small space. Service excellent. Quite expensive but excellent quality.

We hadn't been in a while and it seems the menu has shrunk a tat but all was good still! The wines are great as always, lovely to be able to get some great food so close by!

Magical, as always . Never fails to impress. Lovely romantic place.

Hadn’t been in several years. Mostly struck by the decline in food. Used to be a good selection of proper brasserie food. Now has a lot of hit and miss tapas plates. Pork belly was excellent, but pineapple ceviche was not very good at all. Same with crème brûlée foie gras, a dish we don’t need. More competition than ever in the neighbourhood. They need to step up their food game.

I love this place. I have loved for a number of years. We aren't local - but it has always been worth the trip. However, the sharpness that is usually present seemed to be lacking last nightThe service was attentive and friendly, may be a little slow and the usual knowledge (food and beverage) was lighter. The food was mixed. The potatoes were bland and unappetizing. The Belly pork, muscles and black pudding were excellent. The cheeses plate was unimaginative. The wine list was a good as usual. I was left feeling a little disappointed. I put it down to lacking sharpness - this place usually has a swagger with attitude! I will return (when in town) because this was a gem of a place. I hope next time the mojo has returned

The consistency of Cepages has been the recipe for it's success. A redacted menu has almost helped in not getting us to go overboard when we visit now. Staff are always cool and excellent. It almost feels like a hidden gem still.

We went for our two year anniversary and were greeted with a glass of champagne on the house which was lovely. However, after that things weren’t so good. We gave our orders to the waitress (manager), and having nearly finished our starters we enquired as to where our cheese board was as it hadn’t arrived yet. A waitress said it was still coming. We then received our mains which were below our expectations. We had the mussels - which had so much mustard sauce in it it was overpowering and filled with seeds. The second main was the belly pork which was tasty, however a very small portion. Overall the experience was far below our expectations and having been blown away by them for our first anniversary, we were disappointed in the service (forgetting our order completely) and the quality of the food itself. To note the gentleman waiter that topped up our wine was very nice and cheery.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have enjoyed it, but the menu this time was very disappointing. A main course described as a 'croque monsieur' was just a toasted brown sandwich and a quite expensive fish dish had precious little fish in it. won't be going back again.

We'd been going to Cepages for a long time and always enjoyed times with our family and highly recommended it to our friends! This latest visit was not exactly the same though the food and drink is still good. We felt that the menu had been reduced to the point that a small lunch may be alright but not quite sufficient for dinner?! It'll still be a place to go to but sadly not as frequent anymore.

The menu was slightly different than expected. The website menu had more smaller plate options which was our experience on previous visits.However the food was delicious especially the lamb shoulder. A lovely experience with friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.

Cépages est mon pèlerinage traditionnel chaque fois que je visite Londres. Tous les plats sont fabuleux (bien que la carte ait été un peu trop réduite depuis ma précédente visite); je ne citerai ici que la crème brûlée de mousse de foie gras... j'en salive encore. Cela doit être ma 4ème ou 5ème visite, et il y en aura d'autres!

The food was exceptional. This is a great little place for catching up with friends over exquisite meal.

Delicious, but I wanted to suggest more vegetarian/ vegetables options in the menu.

Really excellent local brasserie with superb wine list. Can't understand why it has been overlooked by the Michelin guide!

Lovely venue. Friendly attentive staff. We felt the menu was limited. The food was however all delicious. Sharing dishes on the small side. Interesting wine choices. 80's pop music playing was a little intrusive and a but too loud and felt wrong for venue. Overall a pleasant night.

Waiting staff were poor and uninformed and although we understand the concept of small plates everything was served within 20 minutes which is not great for an evening out.

Amazing choice of wines, delicious food and gorgeous ambience

The whole evening was amazing. Great food fantastic service and good seating. I was amazed how busy it was but how the waiting staff just glided about serving. I only had to catch any of there eye and they were on hand to take the order. The food is all small plates and when ever I asked about what a dish was , We had it explained. The food is so good and the Desert was amazing. Never had anything that good before.

Good food, attentive service, a bit slow for a Tuesday night. Everything was up to standard and we'll happy come back. Little request, bring back tge foie gras poele.

Food is good but portions could be bigger. The been onglet was too small. They need to give more bread with the fois grois creme brullee

Good food and wine, bread comes with the dishes that require it, which is a plus. The wine is a little expansive, but when is it not? Nice and intimate decor, good service. Would recomend it to a friend.

Such a cosy French restaurant. Absolutely delicious food, good portions and great atmosphere (perfect lighting). Great selection of good - Bought one of the cheapest bottles of whites and it was really fresh and smooth. Highly recommend for date night or dinner with friends and families

The place is really really nice and cozy. The service is good and waiters are really welcoming. We have waited a bit too long for one of the dishes. They kindly sent us a baked Camembert with some sourdough bread. We thought it was on the house bc of the long wait but it showed up on our bill. Bit weird as we did not order it. We still ate it of course and paid it. I don’t know if it was miscommunication on our part. Anyway, v good place

Chouette petit bar à vins situé à Notting Hill. La cuisine y est simple mais savamment bien exécutée… L’ambiance y est conviviale et les prix plus que raisonnables. Le cadre est juste splendide et on a l’impression d’être dans un petit troquet français. Chouette expérience! Nous y retournerons sans hésitation!

Cozy, small restuarant. The staff were great, service was spectacular.

Tasteful decor and welcoming ambience. The staff are friendly, helpful and totally professional and there’s a calm and unhurried air about the place. The small plates menu has delicious and inventive combinations of texture and flavour - four dishes between two provided a very satisfying dinner, all washed down by a good bottle of wine recommended by the knowledgeable sommelier. Noise levels are gentle with music played at a comfortably low level. As we left the restaurant, we were plotting our return.

this place is an aphrodisiac..... what a night!!!!

No cutlery ready for the food multiple times, I had to grab the snails with the yards and eat them with the lamb knive that was embarrassing for me and for my parthner it was her bday. Plus the kir royale served in 2 different amounts, that was awkward especially between different customers. When I asked why my glass contains less drink than other people the waiter smiled and saying “yeh.. eheh” and walked off… odd.. by the way I know how London works out n terms of restaurants.. but.. it was a Saturday evening, I specified birthday and it wasn’t even busy. Sorry. Thanks.

Cépages is my pilgrimage destination when I visit London, and it never disappoints. This time I was a bit sad when I saw that the pan-seared foie gras was not on the menu anymore, but it's been replaced by a foie gras on crème brulée which is an absolute killer. We ordered another one even though our stomachs were already full. Looking forward to my next London pilgrimage at Cépages!

What a find! Excellent food, great wine list and the staff were just lovely. The tapenade and mussels were our standouts. If you’re in Westbourne Park, eat here.

An absolute delight from start to finish. A fantastic selection of wine which you would expect in a French wine bar. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a really homely and pleasant atmosphere. And the food was wonderful. Small plates done with exquisite style and panache. Our favourites - the monkfish and squid ink risotto and the simply divine pommes dauphines. Reasonably priced as well. My only regret is that it isn't nearer to home. I'd be there every Friday night otherwise.

Lovely restaurant with a very interesting menu - flavour of France in the heart of London. The food was delicious - tapas portions which allowed you to try different dish and flavour. I will definitely book this place again for small or larger parties.

The food is quite good, the service is very casual, with two very young and inexperienced waiters who look like they just got out of bed (one was having breakfast/lunch at the counter giving their back to the entrance and showing a few inches of underwear due the low cut jeans). The big disappointment was the wine, 50 pounds for a very bad white wine, who had probably passed its time and had a vinegary taste (it was a 2016 bottle). Overall spending 114 pounds for 4 mall dishes to share (had to order more bread as what was served wasn't enough to finish the dishes) and one disappointing bottle of wine does not make it convenient for a casual lunch out. The atmosphere is very nice though.

What a wonderful hidden gem and just round the corner - I have frequented cepage(s) on many occasions over the years and it never disappoints. The ambience is superb for a quiet low key drink and chat or a romantic dinner/date or catching up with friends. The menu always delivers quality produce and presentation and flavours are superb. Charcuterie and fromage selection was delicious as always. The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming and knowledgeable and give you time and space to enjoy your evening but are very attentive when required at the same time which makes the experience even more enjoyable. 5 stars and long live cepage(s) what a super special spot.

Overall, I was unfortunately disappointed. The wine selection certainly did not meet my expectations in terms of quality and had a very high mark up (compared to the bottle retail price). In terms of food, it was okay. I liked the menu, the dishes were not amazing (some lacked taste), but it was generally good.

Food was delicious paired with great wine. The whole atmosphere was a perfect night out.

The wine recommendation was great. Really lovely service and the beef tartare and monkfish was delicious.

Booking was for 3 people so allocated 2 hour slot, was told table was needed after 1.5 hours and just brought the card machine to pay. No warning or even allowed to finish bottle of wine.

This used to be one of our favourite restaurants years ago, but having returned 3 years later, we left incredibly disappointed. While the staff were all nice enough as people, the service was appalling. We had to ask at least 3 times for anything we wanted as it kept being forgotten and that was if we could even get anyone to come over at all. It wasn't so busy that they didn't have time, it was just lack of attention. We ordered an expensive bottle of Bordeaux, but it was brought with out decanting and incorrect glassware. Other drinks weren't even brought, so we had to cancel them. It made the night unrelaxing to constantly be chasing. We asked for the service to be removed and they didn't even ask why, or show any care for it, and then didn't remove it as we paid! So we had to then go back again to get a refund for the service. Not the best way to end a meal! However, the food is delightful - but bring back the fillet steak to the menu, it was to die for!
