Score and reviews

Last visit to this well established restaurant was during graduation week with our son and friends some 18 years ago but amazing things have happened since the new owners took control in 2014. Gone is the dingy, cramped dining space and expansive but variable menu with service to match.

The Grange at St Andrews

26/06/2019: Six of us dined here last week. The location outside St. Andrews was magnificent with outstanding views across the rolling green hills. The staff were friendly and efficient. Five of us had the 3 course and one the 2 course fixed price menus. All our meals were beautifully prepared and presented. The portion size was perfect. The wine list was excellent with a good selection of well-priced white and red wine. We have previously dined at a number of other restaurants in the area, but none compared to the Grange for consistently excellent food and service.
22/06/2019: What an outstanding restaurant! It is hard to serve a party of 12 for any restaurant but The Grange did an outstanding job. We were in a private room in this 400 year old building, which is located just outside of the center of town on a lovely country road. Views of the sea from the windows are beautiful and the garden is lovely too.

Room With a View

12/04/2019: we actually stayed here for the night, so it was, indeed, a room with a view! wonderful vista over the forth, inch colm and keith and all the way to edinburgh. during the night there was a storm, the rain was so torrential it woke us up, and we sat and watched the forth foaming and roaring for and hour cosy in our room. and thats not even mentioning the dinner....
28/03/2019: Warm welcome and sat in the window, with the view over the River Forth.
