Celebrity Indian Restaurant in Birmingham

Just had a great meal at Celebrity Indian restaurant. Warmly greeted by staff and given a table with a great view of Broad St. Food was amazing and tasty. Great service by friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Go and try it make your own mind up...you will not be disappointed.

The menu online was very different from the prices quoted. I ordered a take away Everything on the menu on the website was a good £2-£3 more expensive when I went to pay. The guy claimed to not know that the menu online had different prices!!! Then got cross saying to me to Hurry Up as he had other customers waiting when I tried to talk to him about it. Pretty poor service.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was beyond pathetic—bland, tasteless, and not even close to authentic Indian cuisine. To make matters worse, the customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. The staff was rude, inattentive, and made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. Honestly, it's better to stay hungry than to waste your time and money at this place. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

We have never visited Birmingham before therefore we bought a voucher from Wowcher for this Restaurant. It was also our wedding anniversary. We booked the table and sat down to order. The server and manager advised us that they do not use Wowcher any longer to which we were disappointed to hear. However the manager was so accommodating and promised a significant discount on the bill. We had 2 starters and 2 mains and it was the best Indian cuisine that we have ever tasted. It was absolutely amazing. The staff were so nice, polite and helpful. Forgetting the Wowcher problem which wasn’t the restaurants issue. We had a lovely night and ate really well. Thank you.

Late night off the street selection. Empty when I entered. Portions decent but rather lacking in taste and spice. Beware if you order a selection of starter as your main course, you get charged for a main course even though it only appears to be. start portion!

The food is here is absolutely OUTSTANDING! We shared a celebrity banquet which is a taste of many different dishes and it was delicious, so much variety and flavour and also plenty to share! Some of the nicest Indian food I have eaten, and trust me when I say I have eaten A lot of it, haha. The staff were so lovely & friendly. Would go back absolutely!!

Amazing service, all servers are friendly and down to earth. The food is amazing, ordered lamb Karachi and a chicken curry. This is actually the best Bengali/Indian restaurant in Birmingham’s city centre. To find a place where the owners and food are both amazing is rare to find and this place has it all.

Dined here with colleagues, this is a large restaurant and it does lack a tad of ambiance, that said a really good varied menu and good and friendly service, the food quality was good and all enjoyed, it’s on the top side price wise, for both food and drinks (6.95 for a pint is over the top really). All in all it was a good experience but not great value.

It’s hard to put in words what a great time we had. The food was flavorful and plenty of it! Innan and his counterpart provided excellent service! The whole experience was nothing but excellent! We had the Balti Chicken, Dhansak Lamb, Patgia Lamb, and Tikka stir fry. The Pathia had a nice kick to it, and the others were mild as only I like spicy food. A better term to use is flavorful. Everything had such a terrific flavor, it was hard to not share. I highly recommend the Tandoori Sizzler (for 2 people) appetizer. You get 3 appetizers in one and enough to share. If you are looking for excellent Indian cuisine at a very fair price with excellent customer service, then Celebrity Indian is definitely worth a visit!

No prior knowledge of this Indian or any other near to our hotel location so was really pleased to have a lovely meal with really friendly and attentive staff. The usual staple offerings but also some more adventurous offerings to whet your appetite. I had duck for starter and tandoori salmon for main. Both were delicious. Decor and setting modern, clean and inviting. Definitely worth a visit.

Originally was on our way to Wagamamas when the menu outside Celebrity caught our eye! Wonderful service from start to finish, super flavorful dishes and the presentation was great. One of the four owners was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing shy of amazing. Genuine people, inviting atmosphere, delicious food ❤️

Fabulous staff. So friendly & attentive. Admittedly we were early diners but I think their personalities were such that they are friendly quiet or not. They paced the delivery of food to our table at our pace which made for a relaxed evening.Food was super tasty, and plenty of it. Compliments to chef.. My only criticism was that the ladies toilets were not a good reflection on the restaurant. Tap loose, toilet roll not on holder & floors needed cleaning.

Disappointing is the word! I should've realised the worth when we were the only guests there in a street which was otherwise bustling with over-crowded restaurants. The staff were pleasant. The prices don't justify the quality, neither the quantity. Will not recommend to anybody visiting Birmingham

I went to this restuarant a few weeks back and have to say me and my friends had a lovely time. I would say the best Indian restaurant on broad street right now and the price is perfect. We visited Celebrity Restaurant this evening as a family, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much! They took the time to chat and made an effort with everyone! The food was amazing! So fresh and tasty! The restaurant is extremely clean and a relaxing atmosphere, would highly recommend and can’t wait for the next visit! Have dined here several times before, always chosen from the "Happy Hour" menu and fully enjoyed every meal... until yesterday. We arrived at 5.30 and were told the above menu was not in operation over the Xmas period, despite being advertised outside. We accepted this at face value and ordered off the A la Carte. The meal was good, the staff friendly, but when we left (at 6.35) we saw someone given the "Happy Hour" menu. Had we been offered this we would have saved about £30 on the overall cost.
