What a great neighbourhood eatery! It had a really nice buzz, superb daily changing menu and easy friendly service. And a great choice of not too pricey wines.

The food is the best you can get in Bristol, or frankly the best in the UK outside a Michelin starred restaurant. I hesitate to give such a gushing review, because it’s my local and I always get a table. But I shall sacrifice my own selfish desire to keep this gem a secret, because it deserves to flourish. Chapeau to the chef, the owner and the sommelier. It is off the scale good.

As a hunky and just generally very attractive and successful man, I expect to be met with unbridled bitterness and jealousy wherever I go. This was not the case upon visiting Cave. The staff were sensational, their genuine Thai smiles and warm words. Charlie made me wanna cry, shirtless in the rain. Sam made me wanna sigh, like the Girl from Ipanema. Joe made me wanna start shooting up on pretty much a regular basis. I don’t know what Henry made me wanna do…I err….yeah…dunno.

The most amazing service, beautiful wine and the food was unreal!

Relaxing place to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine, with staff that can help you to choose. I will go again with friends and taste some of their small plates and possibly a flight of wine to accompany them.

The food was delicious, the wine a delight and the service prompt despite a full house.

I love this wine bar / shop. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, always eager to ensure you walk away happy. They also hold events here like wine tasting. I would strongly recommend a visit!

Wonderful wine bar with incredibly knowledgeable staff. The wines were great, and there is a huge selection, and the cheese board was absolutely lovely.

A small but perfectly formed wine bar and off license that serves small plates for sharing and sells a small range of cheese and charcuterie. The wines are the star of the show with a fabulous selection available and very knowledgeable staff able to guide you towards whatever your heart desires. A great way to spend time with friends

Gorgeous night here with the 3 owners. A great atmosphere, bringing class to Bristol while remaining laid back and unpretentious. Incredibly friendly, great choice of wine - suspect any of the wine on glass you can't go wrong with. We had a selection of small dishes all of which were fantastic. A new favourite for us.

Cave is such a cute place and they've got such nice wine. Had a genuinely great time there.

Used to be great but guy now working in there is totally disinterested. Doesn’t acknowledge you and when, without help - which I actually wanted but couldn’t get, you come to pay, doesn’t even say hello, just tells you the price. Used to love it here but this is the last time I will spend my money here. Grape and Grind is a much nicer experience. Also, whatever is cooking in there smells burnt and has spoiled the atmosphere. Just overall not good any more. Shame.

Nice atmosphere and lovely wine. I was impressed with the introduction to the wine, but not how uninterested the staff member / owner seemed. He wasn’t very attentive and seemed more interested by his laptop than serving, so we left prematurely. I’d go back but, given the price, I’d hope for more next time. I’d also recommend that, if people ask to split the bill, they aren’t made to feel bad about it. Ultimately, we live locally and are pretty sociable, so small things like that could lose a lot of business in the long run.

Loving the food here with the new chef Charlie. Best Oysters I’ve ever had- paired with the most delicious wine. I will be back….. a lot.

Great service. Wanted a mixed case as a gift for a friend in Bristol. As they had no “pre picked” mixed cases, Joe kindly emailed me suggestions based upon a set budget and preferences. Wine was delivered the next day to a very grateful friend and by a very polite courier (or possibly staff member?). Shame I don’t live nearby or I’d be a regular customer. Thank you!

Rude. When it first opened was met with friendly and informative staff. Visited a couple weeks ago and just today. Bloke couldn’t have been more disinterested. Not exactly The cheapest place for wine and cheeses so won’t be returning

CAVE is a wonderful wine bar and shop with a lovely owner - highly recommend!

The sandwiches are incredible! I’ve eaten here the past few days and tried the different sandwiches on offer. My favourite is the meatball (pictured). CAVE is tastefully decorated with a wood/industrial style and stocks a fantastic selection of cheese and wine which are two of my favourite things. I recommend lunch or popping in for a wine consultation ;) the owner seems to know a lot about wine…

Really interesting selection of wine and cheese and very knowledgeable staff, this is the place to go if you want to get a bottle of wine you won't have seen before. Rather expensive however, and some products didn't seem to be priced, be prepared to spend a lot of money!

Loved this place! Kinda stumbled across this by accident and ventured in! The owner was working and very knowledgeable on wines/cheese etc. There are a few tables and chairs where you can sit and have a drink or two, or you could happily just pop in to purchase your choice of wines from around the world. I recommend the cheese board!!!!!

Cool little wine bar, amazing snacks and great events

It's a lovely place to stop and have a glass of wine and some charcuterie. We were there on the Oyster pop-up day so tried oysters with a recommended wine pairing. The team that run it are very knowledgeable and friendly and I can't wait to go back for drinks. We have also been there to buy wine from the shop and again we received excellent service. Just a great place!

Good selection of wines by the glass, very knowledgeable waitress helped us select a couple of different wines to enjoy with a cheese plate. Huge choice by the bottle, we had an amazing Portuguese wine. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic, unusual wines - all organic and low sulphur. Martin is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to talk through various options at length. A great place to find a gift, have a casual glass or a couple of bottles with friends!

Pleasantly surprised to see the shop was open. From first impressions and talking to the owner and looking at his wine and delicatessen list I give him 5 stars. To be re-checked, once things are returning to some kind of normality. I was very excited when I heard that this place will open, as it is in my neighbourhood and we were looking forward to have 'our' local wine bar near us. We will be back!
