An amazing place for a roast or curry night, some of the best food I've ever had, when I went the roast is £22.50 per person and the portion sizes are enormous, plus the fact that all of the food is incredible, great atmosphere and extremely friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend

Oh wow... simplemente asado familiar divino ayer... tan delicioso. Pollo tan suculento, asado corgettes ennegrecidos eran nuevos para mí de esta manera y simplemente delicioso ... personal tan atento ... asados increíbles. Me encantó la carne asada azul pero otros en mi partido la prefieren más mediana... ¡bien por mí! El pegajoso pudín de toffee era la comida de los dioses y el cuenco tenía que ser lamido. Las porciones son fabulosas y el plato de col rizada y gratinado era tan morisco... honestamente no puedo esperar a volver ... solíamos venir todo el tiempo ... será deffo volver regularmente de nuevo ahora nuestros domingos son más libres. Me encantaría volver a experimentar los desayunos contigo : . . lo mejor en Bath xx

You have to book a long time in advance for this place (a month and a half for us) so expectations run high when you sit down. For us, it missed out providing a few too many things for it to be worth that wait. I've scored 4/5 because it is very good but it is not as perfect as reviews suggest. My score is "rounded up" too. The bad bits:- Food was not hot enough. Serving plates and dinner plate not really warmed through. Food is a bit inconsistent. When it's good it's great (the roasties were near perfect) but some bad bits (overcooked courgette mush, belly pork slices which were dry at one end, perfect in middle and flabby at the end). Our table was really too dark (we like to see what we're eating). A single candle did not cut through the gloom. Perhaps a case of a really sucessful place resting on it's laurels? Or a business that needs to remember that filling customers belly's is more important than filling their Instagram feed.

Cozy, and so delicious 😋, the sunday roast is literally the best one ever😍. Very good value for the money 😁. Will definitely be coming back again and again. The sticky toffee pudding will haunt my dreams cause I want a whole tub of that😭

What a gem this place is. Sunday lunch here is an absolute triumph! No starters, straight into pre dinner drinks that are promptly delivered before the main attraction of an incredible platter of exquisitely prepared roasts with heaps of trimmings. There is no better roast to be had anywhere. We loved every moment. Thanks Castle Farm!

La comida era deliciosa, pero el servicio dejó mucho que desear. Nos interrumpieron con frecuencia y nos apresuraron en todas las etapas de la comida. Reservamos la mesa a las 6. 30 y a las 7. 35 pidió pagar la cuenta porque la mesa estaba reservada de nuevo para 7. 45 . En el correo electrónico de reserva decía que la mesa estaba disponible hasta las 8. 15 . Cuando le señalé esto a la camarera dijo que se debía a “confusión”. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the Sunday roast at Castle Farm Midford, and I can confidently say it was the best roast we’ve ever had! The setting itself is incredibly charming – a beautiful barn with a cozy, rustic feel that immediately makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a relaxed countryside vibe that adds to the magic of the experience. Now, the food – simply mind-blowing! Every element of the roast was cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful meat, crispy-yet-fluffy roast potatoes, vibrant seasonal vegetables, and the richest, most delicious gravy tying it all together. You can tell that everything is made with the highest quality ingredients and a lot of love. The service was equally wonderful – friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. It truly felt like a special dining experience, one that we won’t forget anytime soon. If you're looking for a Sunday roast that sets the standard, in a stunning countryside setting, this is the place to be. We will most certainly be back!

The only criticism I have of the curry is that they only serve it on Fridays, superb.

Vine con amigos y mi bebé para un asado del domingo. El asado fue increíble y enorme; 4 de nosotros no pudimos terminar todo. La carne se cocinó perfectamente, grandes asados, yorkshires masivos y hermosa verdura con queso. La ubicación es rústica y peculiar, era un día lluvioso y un poco frío, así que podría haber hecho con vestirse un poco más caliente! Los pudines también eran deliciosos, teníamos pudín de toffee pegajoso y arroz con pudín. Solo las cosas para nosotros que podrían cambiar es algo para calentar el vino tinto, ya que el lugar es frío a su vez el vino es frío y vino helado. Algunas verduras diferentes para acompañar el asado, para nosotros la col rizada no funcionó, pero tal vez preferencia personal! Sin duda volvería, sin embargo, realmente quiero probar la noche de curry!

I almost don’t want to post this because it is hard enough to get a reservation for a Sunday Roast as it is! But they deserve to be busy because Castle Farm 100% do the best roast possible. The roast potatoes are actually crispy, the cheesy leeks are heavenly, the meat is amazing and even the vegetarian option is great. The unassuming location on a working farm makes it the better, and the value for money is unbeaten. A MUST visit - just make sure you books weeks in advance!

Timing was perfect to get a table and so pleased we did. The food was excellent as was the service.

I live in Bath and this is just the Best! I have been there multiple times now and recently went for a roast last Sunday and was just brilliant… as usual! Great fresh food, very well cooked. Service is super friendly. 10/10 Thanks guys

Finally got a seat at Castle Farm, Midford to experience their ‘family style’ sharing roast. The restaurant is set in a barn, on an organic farm, just outside Bath city centre. The charmingly rustic interior and flavourful food makes this another top spot for a South West Sunday roast. The service was impeccable and I’d hardly stepped out the door before booking to return in a couple of months time. Our sharing roast consisted of: • 42 day aged rump of beef • Fennel roasted belly of pork • Roasted chicken • Mangalitza pork stuffing Served with: • Castle Farm greens • Salt baked celeriac • Fennel roasted parsnips • Cheesy leeks • Roasties • Bread sauce • Gravy • Yorkies

Home grown roast platter, cooked perfectly. Definitely recommended!

The atmosphere and service is absolutely lovely. However we had the vegetarian roast option and I must admit we were a bit disappointed, the trimmings were all lovely but the veggie main bit was quite mushy. Maybe we were expecting a veggie wellington or nut roast or something instead. We'll defo try brunch next though!

Curry breakfast so good I wanted to cry. It was was divine. Real, wholesome, heartwarming, flavourful flood. Portion for the kulfi at the end was small for £5, sign of the times, it was worth every penny, it's sublime and the cordial is too

I stumbled across this place by chance and I’m so glad I did. The curry night was a 10/10 experience, the chefs are so talented by combining Indian and Malaysian curries in such a beautiful way. Best curries I’ve had in a long time and I can’t wait to go back. The service was also amazing .

Después de un par de visitas encantadoras al restaurante y una exitosa comida para llevar al curry, estábamos muy emocionados de pedir otra comida para llevar el viernes. Sin embargo, cuando lo conseguimos de vuelta a casa (vivimos a 10 minutos, e imagino que la mayoría de las personas que recogen estarán a la misma distancia, con la granja a las afueras de Bath) , todo estaba completamente frío, con la paratha y los trozos de pollo frito siendo muy empapados. La masa se había disuelto y dejó un poco de pollo de mala calidad que no se cocinó muy bien. El arroz y el roti canai estaban fríos y lisos. El dhal de lentejas estaba bien, tal vez un poco mojado, pero ese curry de cordero no valía £ 18. El cordero era muy graso (sin comprobar previamente la calidad de la carne en nuestro plato supongo) , lo que significa que solo había unos pocos trozos comestibles. Además de esto estaba asentado en una base muy aceitosa y acuosa, que aunque puede ser un tipo tradicional de curry, no era agradable de comer. Estoy muy triste por esto, ya que este era nuestro lugar favorito. Me pregunto si algunos contenedores diferentes ayudarían a este problema. Además, 5 : 30 pm - 6 : La recogida a las 00 pm siempre se verá afectada por la hora punta, así que tal vez podría ser una franja horaria posterior.

He tenido la suerte de ir a Castle Farm para el asado del domingo y ahora para su curry del viernes por la noche. En ambas ocasiones, estando con la familia. La ubicación - una amplia gama de fiestas son todos bienvenidos. Mientras mantienen una granja en funcionamiento. Por ejemplo, en esta visita hubo una mezcla callectica de familias/amigos, también algunos con perros (bien portados). Esto, me siento añadido a la atmósfera alegre y zumbante. Estábamos en la calle 1 de 3 sesiones ofrecidas. El personal era todo excelente - muy eficiente, amable, muy servicial y podría explicar si no está seguro sobre cualquier plato en el menú. De nuestro grupo de 4 - cada uno eligió un plato principal diferente y compartido - cada plato contenía un sabor fresco único, con carne suculenta y / o trozos de verduras sabrosas. Junto con algunas guarniciones -arroz- cocinadas justo bien. Sin duda continuaremos nuestras visitas donde sea posible y recomendar este restaurante a cualquiera que le gusten los asados y el curry. Aunque recomendaría reservar con antelación para este popular restaurante.

I’ve been lucky enough to go to Castle Farm for Sunday roast & now for their Friday night curry night. On both occasions, with family. The location - this is a working farm who welcome a wide range of parties to this converted barn/outbuilding. For instance, on this visit there seemed to be a callectic mix of different groups- family, also those with (well behaved) dogs. This different make up of customer, I feel added to the buzzing happy atmosphere. We were in the 1st of 3 sittings offered. The staff all excellent - very efficient, friendly, most accommodating & would explain if unsure about any dish on the menu. Out of our party of 4 - we each picked a different main course & shared - every dish had a unique fresh taste, with either succulent meat and/or flavoursome vegetable chunks. Along with some side dishes- rice - cooked just right, with each grain separated. Even had a lolly for desert to refresh the pallet. Which was delicious. Would highly recommend a visit if possible. We will be going back on our next visit to family in the region. We haven’t had a better curry out (despite tasting those worldwide).

Visité a mi hijo en Bath anoche y estaba muy emocionado de probar la comida para llevar el viernes por la noche de Castle Farm. Pedimos pollo KL, curry de cordero Kambing Alay, paratha relleno y lenteja dhal. Una gran decepción por desgracia. El pollo frito era desagradable, muy soso. El curry de cordero era un poco raro. Salsa muy aceitosa y fina y muy pocos trozos de cordero que eran comestibles ya que un gran grumo de ella era grasa. Eran 18 libras por un contenedor pequeño, que no te importa si es bueno. El Dhal estaba bien. ¡Todos decidimos que no volveríamos!

Incredible Sunday roast dinner - I think this is the best I’ve had out. Everything from the potato’s to the Yorkshire was cooked perfectly. Great service as well, and amazing desserts. I will definitely be back!

Insanely tasty Sunday Roast. A three meat tasting platter, with the full trimmings, for only £22 per person is such incredible value. All the food was amazing, especially the roast chicken and roast beef. The venue itself is a really cool barn with an open kitchen at one end. The service was friendly and attentive. We went on an autumnal evening, we'll definitely want to come back in the summer (or earlier in the day) to take in the views.

He visitado Castle Farm Midford para cenar en discotecas, curry y asado de domingo y casi estaba pensando en no dejar una reseña porque no puedo soportar que se vuelva tan popular y tan ocupado que se hace difícil reservar una mesa... ... . pero... . todos merecen tener una porción de la increíble comida, servicio y entorno. Es un granero convertido precioso, relajado y la comida habla por sí misma, vale la pena el precio (en realidad bastante modesto), el servicio amable y cálido, no se puede superar imo.

Hats off to the team here. Sunday roast was served family style with all the trimmings. Everything well-seasoned, flavoursome and piping hot. Only downside was the heat rising from the kitchen making the mezzanine area uncomfortably hot. Otherwise, get down there folks!

Fantastic service, great food. Staff were about but not hovering, always easy to get someone’s attention if we wanted another drink and water was replenished without us even asking. Food was amazing and as everything non flatbread-y was GF and all meat/fish dishes could be made veggie we were able to try almost everything. Dog friendly too so perfect date night location for us. Will be returning!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. We have been here for curries, roasts, and their brunch. Love that the menu changes with the seasons and that vegans are catered for in a unique and creative way. Friendly service, lovely setting, nothing not to love.

I have eaten here for both the Sunday roast and Saturday curry. Both were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere inside the barn is very relaxing. I was slightly worried that the Sunday roast was a sharing plate rather than individual portions but there was plenty of food for the four of us and we were stuffed by the end. The quality of the ingredients and the service is top notch. I am so excited to come back for more visits. What a gem!

The best Sunday roast in Bath! We didn't book in advance so wait about half an hour to get seat, the countryside view is beautiful so definitely worth the wait. The food was locally sourced, very fresh and delicious, tender meat and crisp chicken, all the vegetables cooked just right. I like the lemon verbena cordial very much!

Delicious roast with friendly service, set in an unexpectedly charming barn-looking restaurant. I enjoyed family style dining, easy menu (take what you're given, basically!) and the generous serving size of food for our table. Desserts were gorgeous too. Ensure you book well in advance, particularly if you are more than 2 covers.

This is my first Sunday pot roast experience. It was truly wonderful! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Really loved the sticky toffee pudding as well. This restaurant is in a farm house and has nice views of the greenery! My friend said you need to book a table three months ahead of time. Worth it though!!

Pleasant atmosphere and good and abundant food.

I found this place on a blog posted on FB. It was a last-minute plan, I called them to see if they had a table half another prior, they were really nice and answered all my questions. We sat outside, the atmosphere was so nice, great play list, staff were super friendly, they accommodated our diet, the food was top quality, all cooked so beautifully, it was both pleasing to the eye and tast pods. We had the nut roast which had a great crunch texture, super light, with roasted potatoes which were so crispy and delicious, the carrots had a sweet taste which could be honey, and the cauliflower cheese was cooked to perfection, the Yorkshire pudding was massive and good, and the greens were also nicely cooked. The crumble was sooooo yummy, crunchy, and not too sweet, with cinnamon ice cream 😋, I can't remember what my partner had for dessert, but he enjoyed it too. I'm not easy to please when it comes to eating out, but this one was spectacular It was such a nice experience. They really made my day 🩵

I have been here four times. Twice for the Sunday roast, and twice on Friday for the curry night. Regarding the Sunday visits, this place does the best Sunday roast in Bath you can buy. There is no contest. The Friday visits I came with a date, and we ordered the curry selection for 2, which gives you everything on the menu tapas style. It is my favourite experience of its kind, not just in Bath, but in the whole of Britain. The building itself is essentially a converted barn, and unassuming from the outside, but warm and homely inside especially in the evening. Everything is either grown onsite or sourced locally, which shows in their dishes freshness and flavour. The service is friendly and accommodating. I cannot think of any downsides to this place, aside from the fact that I have to wait so long to go again thanks to the lack of table vacancies (booking Sunday roasts at least 3 months in advance is advised). I can’t wait to try their Saturday supper club! Never change Castle Farm!

Stunning Sunday Roast is from a converted barn on an orangic allotment/farm. This is nestled on top of the hill by Midford outside Bath with some lovely surroundings views. With their converted barn and open kitchen serving up seasonal menus and using local produce. Main event: - 42 day aged rump of beef from Robin Pitkin -Fennel roasted belly of pork from Orchard Farm - Roasted chicken - Mangalitza pork stuffing Serve with- - Castle Farm greens - Crispy Roasties - Roasted Jerusalem artichoke - Bread sauce - Garlic roasted carrots - Cheesy leeks withhazelnuts - Yorky pudds - Gravy Desserts: - Vanilla rice pudding, blueberry jam, almond brittle Drinks: - Time line IPA by @kettlesmith_brewing - Apple & Blackcurrant Cider by @honeyscider All in all we absolutely loved this roast dinner experience, everything was perfectly cooked, full of flavour and with very helpful friendly staff. Probably the best Sunday roast ever! Even better than mine and mine are legendary 😂. Seriously though this was such a brilliant concept: hidden gem restaurant inside a barn in a farmyard. I drive past is every day on my way to work without taking much notice, but thank goodness my daughter saw the recommendations on a Facebook page. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and plentiful. Beautifully presented and the waiting staff were lovely. We can thoroughly recommend.

Best place to eat in or around Bath, by a country mile. Their curry night is honestly so good it leaves me speechless. Try the beef curry, try the roti, the cocktails. It's amazing and worth every penny.

Best tasting fresh indulgent food I’ve had in a while. Came for the curry evening and tired a bit of everything. I would highly recommend trying a little of everything as all the flavours and choices were mouth watering. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The barn is a cute little space. Honestly phenomenal. Coming from London where every pub with a sandwich board outside claims to be 'the best roast in town' - I was both surprised and amazed. Quality produce, service, atmosphere... everything was all top tier.

We’ve been to Castle Farm a few times now and have had such a lovely experience everytime - the staff are always incredibly friendly, thoughtful and welcoming - and the food is great! Would massively recommend a visit to everyone 😊

One of the best meals I have ever bad, I honestly feel that if Michaeline respected Indian food this place should have at least a star, I came for an organised Christmas event and was served 4 of the best curries I've ever eaten along with delicious and innovative sides that honestly, the memory of is enough to make my mouth water! Will be back. Wild wild horses, couldn't keep me away.

What an amazing eating experience. Everything is so efficient here. The sharing platters are very impressive. The quality of the food is very high. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Beef was nice and tender, pork was nice, but was missing some cracking. Chicken was seasoned nicely. Yorkshire pudding, gravy, carrots and kale were on point as well.

We love coming here with for Sunday lunch or curry nights, both of which are amazing. The food is always very good as is the service. We love the setting and always have a great time whether with friends or on our own. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! Friday night Curry in August was simply glorious. We went for the selection to try every dish including starters. Starters of Pork spring rolls, courgette fritters with chutneys & poppadoms were scrummy, especially the sweet n spicy soy base with black beans & cucumber cubes. Fresh Coconut sambal was rich & moreish. Mains were 8 dishes plus rice, chapati & roti, all clearly defined & freshly made. My wife has an aubergine allergy, and they simply didn't add it! Superb range of flavours & spice levels, 2 dishes were described as 'very spicy' but worked well & had amazing flavours. All sauces were rich & flavourful, ingredients fresh & tasty. The Hake & Lamb dishes were our particular favourites, and we both adored the Cornish Gurnard sitting in a thick tomato sauce. Was our first visit and certainly not our last, we can't wait to try their theme nights :) We felt the meal & drinks were great value too, with plenty of food, lovely local drinks, happy & knowledgeable servers, in a comfortable quirky environment. A superb night out with a great buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Been here a lot over the last 6 months, and the Sunday roast is always exceptional. Amazing quality, great flavours, lovely atmosphere and quirky venue. Staff are accommodating and attentive. The Friday curry club is incredible also; one addition would be some popadom condiments. Certainly best food I've had in the West Country 😍😍

Our total favourite place in the south-west, maybe in the whole UK. We have now been for Sunday lunch several times (incredible food, lots of it, VG value), and for a couple of Friday night curries, which are also a treat. Looking forward to sampling the Saturday night supper club next month.

I had a roast dinner here today and it was amazing! I’m vegan and it was the best I’ve had. Everything had just as much care taken over it as my meat eating friends. The veg was beautifully cooked and all seasoned to perfection. The surroundings are stunning and everyone that worked there were attentive and lovely. I will be booking again for sure. we took my brother and his beautiful girlfriend to the castle farm curry night. what a treat. it was the best curry we have ever eaten, beautifully presented topped with organic edible flowers, sensational. the service was perfect. the roti cani were delicious.

The roast was sensational. The flavours were eclectic and delicious. We all agreed it was the best Sunday roast we have ever had. The staff were kind and swift to serve. The puddings were also phenomenal. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a Michelin star! It was faultless. We will come again and recommend to anyone.

The most delicious food imaginable - we were visiting Bath for a few days and booked Supper Club . Bistro Provençal Theme. The staff were welcoming and the barn was beautifully decorated to the theme. Every course was delicious, the flavours were clever combinations and quality of food very high. We had 5 courses, for the exceptional quality of food it was value for money. We will definitely return as the Friday Curry Night and Sunday Roasts have been recommended by more than one person we met whilst we were in Bath.

Consistently outstanding food. You get three meats (pork belly, beef and chicken) with stuffing and load of incredible sides. The cheesy leeks with hazelnuts might be my favourite element. At £19 a head it’s an absolute steal, with wonderful attentive service to boot! I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding if you have space!

10/10. I’ve been here a few times in the last few months and it never disappoints. They’re also amazing with dairy free and gluten free options. I had an apple and rhubarb crumble that was dairy free (without the ice cream) and it was incredible. Hands down my favourite Sunday roast spot 🫶🏼 Thank you for being so accommodating for allergies and intolerances!

Food was absolutely amazing! Tasty and well presented. Waitress and Chef was friendly… well worth the money… the atmosphere is so amazing. Lived in South Africa, and been in New Zealand, now in the UK for 8 weeks… this was a great experience!

This was our family’s 2nd visit to Castle Farm for a Sunday roast. On both occasions, it was fantastic, our favourite ever roast dinner. All five of us loved it, including the vegan and vegetarian.

Second visit to Castle Farm....previously had some fantastic pizza. The Sunday sharing roast this time around was fantastic - great meal and very pleasant staff. Intend to return with friends/relatives soon.

So we were recommended this place by a friend who raved all day and night about it. We thought we'd give it a go and booked around a month in advance back in December to have a nice surprise to escape the January blues. We completely understand the raving reviews, hands down the best tasting roast we have ever had no question! The decor is quirky but cozy and lovely and warm even in these harsh temperatures. The service is outstanding, attended to quickly and the food was served quicker than most places. The guys cooking were friendly on entrance and exit. We are certainly looking at booking again soon and would love to try their supper club!! We have turned in to the raving friend recommending to any one and every one!
